Crush
A/N thank you for all the love! I really appreciate all of you, especially with me being new to tumblr and publishing my stories as well.  pairing: fem reader X Aemond Targaryeon
Summary: You have always had a crush on Aemond he just learned and wants to use this to his advantage
Warnings: none, a kiss?
You had been anticipating the day you returned to kings landing since when you last left, counting down the days. Simply to see a boy that had probably changed even more over the course of 6 months, but that also amused you.
You had always had a crush on Aemond, being fascinated by his intelligence and kindness as a child, and now a man he has only improved. Your fascination was entirely apparent, everyone in Westeros could tell you were so far deep in love with Aemond Targaryen that the chance of escape, was less than slim.
You had tried to find a reason, an exact pinoint on why you felt magnetically attracted to him, but overall you supposed it was his entire being. His beautiful silver hair, his chizzled face, perfectly shaped lips, and the eye patch. Some would say it ruined his overall appearance but to you, he was a god on Earth, and you prayed to them every night that maybe the next visit would be the one where he finally noticed you.
Although you belonged in a lower less-known house King Viserys had a long lasted friendship with your father, meaning you spent many months of your childhood in kinglanding, mostly playing with Helena and listening to her fascinating facts on bugs while watching Aemond from afar. Sometimes, you would get distracted from her stories and focus on him, if that were during training or when he would read the stories stored in the huge castle library.
Every year when you came to visit, and the more he grew, the more you were wrapped around his finger, and he had no idea. Yes there was the once in a blue moon conversation, it was inevitable to happen over the years of youth spent together, but this visit you knew it would be different.
—-----------------------------------------------
It all began at the welcoming dinner, you had finally reached of age and showed it to, your body resembling a womans your untimely beauty and wonderful hair, your father had already been propositioned piles of marriage proposals.
The dinner was as usual, you were sat next to Helena and Aegon, Aegon throwing you an occasional glance, but overall you mostly spoke to Helena and caught up on the newest events.
Unaware, Alicent had already informed Aemond on how you looked at him, she told him what he was to busy to notice, your absolute infatuation with him, bringing him to a new fascination with you.
Everytime you spoke to the whole table his eye followed you closely, and during the dinner you would occasionally catch his eye, turn red in the cheeks, and look away. He would smirk and continue his observations.
Then it was under the tree in godswood, you were reading an epic from before your time, some of the translations were not completely accurate, but you tried your best to create the missing words yourself. The godswood was empty, for once, this was your favorite place to talk to Helena, and a good quiet area for absolute concentration. Usually.
A relaxed Aemond made his way into the godswood, stopping in his tracks when he noticed your flushed face looking up at him before you shut the book and were beginning to rise, “Why are leaving my lady?”
Your eyes raised from the ground wide and looking anywhere but him, a smile threatened to spread on your face from just a very sentence from his lips, “Uhm, sorry my- my prince I just assumed you would like to be left alone,”  You flattened out your skirts trying to straighten yourself and look as good as you could make yourself feel.
Aemond smirked at you, “you assumed wrong, my lady, we can share the same tree, I do not bite, I swear it,” he smirked before walking over your eyes following him without looking him directly in the eyes, your whole body temperature had increased by atleast 10 degrees and part of you wanted to run away from everything, and another part wanted to bask in the moment and confess right then and there.
When he sat under the tree positioning his book and himself comfortably he looked up at you, frozen.
“You may sit,” he smirked,
“Oh yeah, right, sorry I forget myself,”
he responded with a slight chuckle, that only made your stomach fill with more butterflies, you could probably grab the tension you felt.
Once you were sat you opened your book and tried to pay attention to the words, but his occasional glances were making it almost impossible.
“My lady your face is quite red, are you feeling ok?” he spoke lowly with false concern.
When your head spun to meet his eyes before drifting away, “Oh yes my prince, thank you, these skirts are just warmer some days more than others,” what kind of answer what that?
Aemond placed his hand on your forehead making all thoughts going through your head stop and only focus on his hand gliding down the side of your face before grazing your jawline and grabbing under your chin, “has anyone ever told you how gorgeous you are,” Over the years Aemond had grown to be a brave man, and knowing now that you were smitten with him, he planned on using this to his advantage, but he couldn’t deny your beauty or his fascination by you.
“I uhm, thank you, thank you my prince,”  his decision was forward, very forward, he knew he shouldn’t but he couldn’t seem to find a reason in the moment not to.
“Might I kiss you, my lady,” He asked with a smirk, stunned at the sudden request you couldn’t form an answer and simply shook your head yes,”
“Eyes on me love, and please use your words,” Your eyes finally met his “Yes, yes please,” he spread his hand over your jawline, thumb still on your chin before he brought the two of you closer your lips meeting.
You couldn’t put in words how just one kiss left you breathless, it didn’t last long, both of you inexperienced, but it was enough to fuel your love for him more than you saw possible.
When his lips left yours, he grazed the side of your face once more before simply returning to his book, leaving you confused, and still questioning if this was real or simply another day dream of yours.

Visenya would've hated both Rhaenyra and Aegon and over throw both of thier asses, she'd see them both as pathetic and she wouldn't like Alicent either because she's a colonizing Targaryeon supremacist and Alicent is a non-targ woman who worships the faith of the seven. It's not team black vs team Green Visenya wouldn't care about any of them and that's the truth.
agreed, anon. visenya is team vhagar.

Ok im gonna send 2 Stella asks but heres part 1:
Vivziepop wants Cersei but doesn't understand the character.
Let me elaborate. Cersei is an irredeemable asshole in ASOIAF/GOT and does very terrible things and is stupid like our favorite swan. However Cersei actually has layers to herself and is a complex character and has reasons for acting like she does. Basically the two sources of what causes her to act this way is being born as a woman in a misogynistic society and wanting her father's love and approval. Misogyny is a crucial part of everything about her like if she wasn't born in Westeros she probably could've been a good person. Basically Cersei is the eldest Lannister sibling but because of her sex she lost her inheritance and all power she could've had. Instead she was destined to be a brood mare from birth. She thought her father didn't care for her as much as Jaimie because of her sex so she tried to mimic Tywin's ways to get his approval not understanding you have to be strategic when it comes to brutality. Cersei chooses to let spite cloud her judgement. Tywin didn't favor her not because of her sex but because Cersei was an idiot who kept causing problems.
She hates Tyrion because he took her mother away from her and Tywin hated him as well as being told by an prophet that a younger brother would kill her. It is because of prophecy in general that makes Cersei paranoid. Which contributes to another facet of misogyny because she was told a younger and more beautiful Queen would strike her down which makes her bitter to her son's fiance Margary. Though it is hinted that Dany is the actual destined Queen instead. So you combine a woman who is paranoid and spiteful with wanting to be brutal... You get stupidity.
However Cersei being cruel also stems from the fact that she had been subject to gender based violence such as Robert assaulting her constantly. Cersei is a representation of the results of misogyny in Westeros.
It should be noted that since Stella is hinted to be incestuous we should bring up Jaimie. Now Jaimie and Cersei being incestuous is because Cersei sees her brother as an extension of herself and who she should've been as a man. Cersei and Jaimie were not separated properly as children by the servants when caught once so this could be nipped in the bud. Cersei also has never experienced healthy relationships so of course she's deeply going to latch onto Jaimie especially after the shit Robert does to her constantly. However, in the books it seems Jaimie's arc is going to be breaking away from Cersei because Cersei is still an asshole who manipulates him and instead of Tyrion killing her it will be Jaimie.
Also George R.R. Martin actually villainizes incest because the entire plot happens because of it. Say what you want about the Targaryeons but it was probably done because its a reference to how Pharohs were said to be gods reborn and married their sisters which is a parallel to how the Targs see themselves, George needed to explain why not everyone in Westeros had dragons and the reign of that dynasty was notoriously unstable and often dragged the realm into the brink of collapse constantly. Like there's only three Targaryeon rulers that were decent and didn't cause any future chaos for the realm because of their stupidity. Plus we have hints that the inbreeding is affecting them mentally and physically.
Im not saying Vivziepop should make Stella Cersei but she should understand that people don't just love to hate on Cersei because evil bitch its because she's complex and how that allows her to make such awful decisions.
Not much I can say here but Stella should have been similar to Cersei. The writers have shown how corrupted the ranking system in Hell is, multiple times by characters being offended and surprised that a low ranking imp slept with a high rank Goetia. If they wanted to address how fully wrong the system is, they should have shown how negatively it impacted the different ranks.

It's so sad that we never got to know what Daemon truly thinks of his Netty, he spent his whole life in wrapped with the idea of Valaryian blood purity and Targaryeon rule but a young bastard girl comes by and turns his whole world, his whole life upside down in just a few years? In the end he refuses his queen, his Targaryeon wife and also the fact that Daemon was so anguished with the loss of Nettles that the emotion was strong enough for Caraxes to cry out and SHATTER windows? That fact right there solidifies the fact that Daemon loved Nettles, his own dragon screamed for her when he could not. But I want to know what was going through his mind ad he was falling for her.
Yeah, Daemon met Nettles once Team Black took King’s Landing around the first moon of 130 AC and they part early into the fifth moon of that year.
He spent nearly 50 years of his life believing in Valyrian supremacy and Targaryen exceptionalism and then he met her. Her very existence breaks all those beliefs. Those last few months taught him more than all of his years(well maybe not more, but they definitely had the most impact on him in the end). He goes against everything he knows for her when it would be easy enough to just abandon her and “come home.” Come back to what he knows, but he doesn’t. He sticks by her and he saves her.
Let us not mention that scene where Caraxes literally expresses Daemon’s inner rage at being parted from her. If that’s not the most romantic scene in Fire & Blood then I don’t know what is🤷🏽‍♀️ Nettles might not have been his first love, but she was his last.
Unfortunately, because F&B is written as a historical text we do not get to see into the minds of characters like with GOT/ASOIAF. So our only hope for a canon depiction of what went on in Daemon’s head that caused him to fall in love with Netty is for the show to depict it 😬
I hope that HOTD includes Nettles(it would be a hate crime not to) and fully fleshes out their relationship. To be honest, unless they plan on turning Daemon into a straight-up villain, they kinda have to include her at this point. He is supposed to be a morally gray character who is capable of having a decent relationship, but so far, the healthiest relationship he has is with Caraxes 🫠
Daemon is teetering on the very edge of being morally gray, and I know it’s a hot take with this fandom, but he needs a redemption arc with someone he hasn’t groomed, neglected, or abused🤷🏽‍♀️

I just recently got into the fandom. I was just wondering why you're not fond of Dany/ the Targaryeons? Gen no hate! Just curious. The incest between Dany & Jon does ick me out a lot. Thank you.
To start: I am against things that are pro incest in this series, so literally any family who exists on the backs of purposeful incest or any incestual couples are no go icky to me instantly. That being said, heres some word vomit:
A significant amount of it comes from a cruelty which stems from their superiority complex. Because of their Valyrian heritage, they believe that it makes them superior. In a very literal sense. Targaryeans are the most behind the curtain reveal of what it means to be the blood of Old Valyria. They believe that they are special, different then others, and they are above those which are not Valyrian. They are not outcasts in the sense of a Valyrian family which practices rampant incest.
Valyrians in general were incestual for those exact reasons. They believed that they were superior over other men, and thus keeping their bloodlines pure was integral to maintaining that special blood. It had made the Targaryeans very uncaring about lives not their own, and in truth it has made them so obsessed, that they don’t even care about each other.
No one suffers the damage of their inbreeding more then Targaryean women. They are born into that family expected to make themselves into wives and mothers for their brothers and uncles. It is an expectation that brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews marry. Imagine how it must feel to be a woman married INTO the Targaryean family, and suddenly your own daughters are expected to be made into brides for your own sons. This family raises their sons to expect their sisters to belong to them. Targaryean women are little more then breeders in the eyes of their own family. Their purpose is to be there to breed more children with their own brothers and uncles simply to keep that bloodline from being diluted with other kinds of people. And it hurts them in other ways, because inbred Targaryean women have very infamous fertility issues. They have a disturbing amount of miscarriages and stillbirths, they give birth to very physically deformed children, or mentally disturbed children. And Targaryean women die on in childbirth at an alarming frequency.
This is a result of generational incest. This extremely shallow gene pool being forced to inbreed over and over and thus the genetics get even more damaged over time, leading to more fertility issues, which leads to husbands putting their wives into medical distress trying to force them to get pregnant until they give birth to more sons and daughters. It is a hellish nightmare to be born a women in the Targaryean family, and its a massive reason why no one should ever be romanticizing these incestual relationships. There is a reason ONLY the Targaryeans inbreed like this in Westeros. It is demented, damaging, and disgusting to normal people.
But they don’t care, because they see themselves as superior beings with superior blood and they do not have respect for those they rule over because they are not special like they are. When the Targaryeans are not special. Being Valyrian is not special, because most of the known world looks back at them with resentment and hatred for their destruction and cruelty. Valyria was a blight on the world and the Targaryeans are desperate to inflict this onto the people of Westeros. Who by the way, are populated with three different cultures of people, two of which came from people who fled Essos to escape the Valyrian Freehold. And the Targaryeans came and forced that same trauma onto the very descendants of people who escaped that in the first place.
They are the living relic of Old Valyria and they are once more, a blight on the world they inhabit. Their motto of fire and blood is not cool or badass. It is the symbol of their purpose. To burn and destroy.
And Dany, is the biggest living character to exemplify that. She is a true Targaryean and that is not a compliment. It is a warning. She is dangerous, and violent and has no qualms with inflicting untold amounts of brutal cruelty to subjugate those she sees as in her way. That is not something to be idealized, she is a dangerous tyrant.
She also, is a bad ruler. She was NEVER raised with any sort of education or training to rule and she thinks she is good at it beacuse she knows how to scare people into submission. But her entire arc in the Slave Cities is one big showcase of why she should not have the power she demands. She is a bad ruler, she does not respect the cultures and people she demands bend the knee to her, she burns alive all those whom she alone decides deserves it. Even her plight of slavery isn’t good. She allows slaves to sell themselves back to their masters, because she did NOTHING to establish a system to fill for the void she created by taking slavery away in a culture where it is rampant.
Yes stopping slavery is good, but it is not as easy as making them stop doing it. She doesnt understand why as soon as she leaves places like Yunkai, do they devolve back into their old ways, because she wasn’t a ruler. She is a military occupier. She does not rule, she occupies by force until she decides she wants to move on. Everywhere she has touched, she has left behind chaos and ruin beyond what they were before she showed up. She does not accept criticism because to her, its an insult towards her perceived notion of do good.
She also has, what I personally hate, an insufferable ego. She is very egotistical to the point she thinks she is the worlds main character and every slight is a personal one against her. She has such an inflated sense of importance despite how often she fails and leaves ruin in her failing wake. She enjoys cruelty, she enjoys seeing her enemies burn alive or in horrible torture, she enjoys when people fear her, she enjoys knowing she could burn cities to the ground and thats why no one steps out of line.
Now, this all actually makes her interesting. Because it is. Following the story of a growing, evil, tyrant in the making is fascinating. But as a person, I hate her. She is everything I think good people, especially in this series, stand for and fight and sacrifice against. She is everything good people in this series fight so hard to protect the innocent from, but she enjoys that she is that.
The notion in certain realms of this fandom that she has always been this person trying to do good, is a falsehood. Its buying into the very message Dany is trying to tell people, when every single thing she actually does proves otherwise. She WANTS to burn and destroy. She WANTS to make people fear her and she WANTS to torture people in the most brutal fashions possible.
Now, obviously not all Targaryeans are bad people, but many are. Beacuse their entire family raises each other to exist and propagate this dangerous, damaging, and disgusting culture they’ve brought over from a place that the rest of the world is glad are gone. As long as a Targaryean lives by the ideals of fire and blood, they are doomed to die, because the world has decided they no longer will put up with it.
As for dragons, grrm has made it very clear that dragons in this series are the fantasy equivalent of atomic weapons. So you can image I find it baffling people think the literal one for one metaphor for nukes, are supposed to ever be seen as a force for good that deserves to exist.
Anyways sorry you’re new the fandom and found my blog, cus I imagine now you are hovering your finger over the block button like “block now or wait and see what other thousand word long rants shes got in her.”
Spoiler: the answer is too many.

reading a Feast for Crows
"Egg, I dreamed that I was old."
I just read that and is one of my favorite quotes from the whole asoiaf. It's so bittersweet. It's hard to explain, but it pulls at my heart strings. I really like Aemon Targaryen, and the whole situation with his brother and family is really sad.
I wish we could have an Aemon POV chapter.

GAME OF THRONES: An Animated History of the Seven Kingdoms Conquest & Rebellion -  Invasion
How long had Aegon been waiting for such a pretext? As his army prepared to sail, ravens flew to every great lord of the Seven Kingdoms. All bore the same message: From this day forth, there would be but one king in Westeros. Those who bent the knee to Aegon of House Targaryen would keep their lands and titles. Those who took up arms against him would be thrown down, humbled and destroyed. Adopting the customs of the Seven Kingdoms, Aegon unfurled his own banner with a red three-headed dragon breathing fire upon a black field. Visenya crowned him with a ruby-studded circlet of Valyrian steel while Rhaenys hailed him as the first high king the continent had seen since the Dawn Age.

Do you think Aenys was the son of Aegon?
I’ve come across a wild theory Aegon was infertile and both Aenys and Maegor were not his sons. Aenys being fathered by someone else with Aegon’s approval and Maegor being conceived through blood magic with or without Aegon’s aid. The arguments of this theory:
- Sharra Arryn offered her son as Aegon’s heir and her hand in marriage by the time of the Conquest. Why would she offer her son as heir when Aegon had two wives who could probably provide him an heir? Was it only a bold move or there were rumors Aegon couldn’t produce an heir?
-Aegon refused Argilac’s proposal of Argella Durrandon as a third wife too;
- He was married to Visenya and Rhaenys for many years before Aenys and then Maegor were conceived;
- Aegon married his two sisters to prevent anyone outside their family from claiming the greatest tool of warfare that Westeros has ever known: Dragons -  and not for duty (Visenya) and love/lust (Rhaenys);
I believe that it could be possible with so many generations of inbreeding, Aegon and his sisters could have faced fertility problems, or maybe they were waiting for the conquest of Westeros to be completed to produce heirs. Aegon needed both his sisters on dragonback to claim the allegiance of the Seven Kingdoms and I don’t see a heavily pregnant woman riding a dragon as a reasonable strategy.
That being said, I think both Aenys and Maegor were Aegon’s sons and the amplified versions of their mothers.

You've talked a lot about Targaryen women before, so what are your thoughts on Alyssa Velaryon and Baela Targaryen? Really enjoyed those two in F&B.
I quite liked reading about Alyssa and Fire and Blood; her marriage to Aenys seemed pretty sweet and happy. I just feel so sorry that he died so abruptly and to add salt to the wound, Maegor ascended the Iron Throne almost immediately after, and she had to be taken prisoner. It must have been horrible for her, and I admire her for persevering through times like that.
I could also understand her desire to stop Jaehaerys and Alysanne from marrying, even though I, as a Jaehaerys/Alysanne shipper, had to side against her. One of my favorite moments of Alyssa was when she sent Rogar away with “eyes cold and dark as stone” (or something, I can’t remember the quote in its entirety lol).
Her death had me a little bit disappointed though. Childbirth again, at her age. She already gave Rogar a son in Boremund, and it infuriates me that she had to die because he wanted to have another child. (While it’s not clarified if Alyssa protested or not at the prospect of another child, I believe she did. What woman wouldn’t be uneasy about having a child at Alyssa’s age?)
Overall, I liked Alyssa. She endured a lot of grief, but she continued to move on, live her life, and help her children to the best of her ability.
Now, Baela - I absolutely loved reading about her in Fire and Blood. Her fight with Aegon II and Sunfyre was thrilling, even though I wished we’d gotten more detail on it. “Princess Baela rose to meet him, as fearless as her father”. I got chills.
The entire time I was reading about her, Baela continued to defy Westeros’ image on women, and I loved that. Don’t get me wrong, there are many traditionally feminine women I love as well; I adore Rhaenys I Targaryen (she was both feminine and masculine imo), and I adore Alysanne Targaryen, Shiera Seastar, Joanna Lannister, etc. But it was super refreshing to see someone like Baela.
She came quite close to arranging her own marriage in the form of running away and marrying Alyn Velaryon. I liked that. I also liked the moment when Baela and Rhaena burst into the procession hall where Aegon III was trying to choose his bride (with little interest, I might add), and Baela lashed a guard with her riding crop and said her brother could command her, but not him. Badass.
I am very curious to know what happened to Baela, however. In the future, Alyn had an affair with Elaena Targaryen, so I do wonder what Baela was doing during that time, especially since she and Alyn seemed quite content in married life in Fire and Blood. Did she die? I really hope not. My hope is that she, like, divorced Alyn because Baela doesn’t strike me as someone to stay with an unfaithful spouse, no matter how commonplace husbands’ infidelity is in Westeros. But I think that’s unlikely, sadly.

They specifically chose Emma because they wanted Rhaenyra to be in their words "punk rock" and in the UK especially (because in America it's just become a cheap aesthetic) the Punk movement is associated heavily with revolution. I honestly think it's sick to use Emma's identity and personality for a character and try to push a feminist agenda onto Rhaenyra. Emma as a person and an actor may be revolutionary and actually punk but not Rhaenyra yet they explicitly state that because of Emma's identity that is why they were chosen to play Rhaenyra. Also Emma is still a pretty new actor compared to Matt, Olivia, Paddy and Rhys and seems ro struggle with anxiety I bet being a new actor in a big production they're probably more hesitant to speak out against the writers were as you had Matt and Paddy that were more bold to improvise their scenes (especially Matt). What's funny is the Targaryeon purist are such hypocrites, they were constantly comparing Milly to Emilia saying She's not beautiful enough then followed by Emma who was also getting shamed for their looks (people even drew fan art of them and gave them a nose job) but yeah the writers are just using Emma's personal identity which is messed up. (Although their acting is stiff, I do enjoy the sound of their voice makes it a bit bearable)
Yeah, taking Emma’s identity and putting it on Missy Anne is terrible storytelling/characterization. It’s cheap and tacky.
The actor is supposed to become the character, not the character becoming the actor(especially in a story that has already been written)🤦🏽‍♀️
Rhaenyra is not a feminist/warrior queen/or a revolutionary. She’s pretty much the opposite of those things so it’s extremely messed up to cast Emma and go Hey let’s take this actor’s personality and put it on this character and make her into something she’s not instead of creating a character or even finding a character in ASOIAF who already aligns with those values.
No wonder why this show is such a mess.
