Tears are pooling up in Milo’s eyes as Tanjiro hugs her gently for comfort.

They had been on a picnic date and Milo’s bow, the bow gifted to her by her brother just prior to him leaving, fell out of her hair, and now she can’t find it.

“Shh… it’s ok angel, we’ll find it!” Tanjiro gently cups her face in his hands and he presses a soft kiss to her forehead.

They walk around the flower field, desperately searching for the purple accessory.

They see a tree off in the distance and they recognize it as a tree they had walked under earlier.

Milo quickly runs over to the tree, pulling Tanjiro behind her.

They get to the tree and Milo smiles excitedly as she gently pulls her bow out of the branch. “Th-thank goodness…” Milo says softly as she puts her signature bow into her hair.

Tanjiro smiles as he gently, but tightly, hugs Milo.

“See angel? I told you we’d find it!” He says and boops her nose, eliciting a giggle from the yokai.

Tanjiro smiles and blushes at the sound of Milo’s giggles.

He gently takes her hand in his and gently leads her back into the flower field.

The sit down amongst the beautiful flowers together and Tanjiro gently pulls Milo up into his lap, making her blush as he plucks the prettiest flowers and wraps the stems together to make a gorgeous flower crown for Milo.

“You look so pretty angel…” He says softly after gently putting the flower crown atop her head.

Milo blushes brightly. “Th-thank you Tanji…” She mumbles shyly, Tanjiro chuckles softly and kisses her cheek.

Milo starts making a flower crown for Tanjiro and she blushes as she puts it on his head after turning around in his lap.

Tanjiro blushes and smiles then kisses Milo’s nose.

He chuckles at her shy reaction. “I love you so much, angel…”

“I-I love you too, Tanji… so so much…”

The young couple shares a soft a loving kiss then Tanjiro picks Milo up bridal style as he stands up.

He smiles affectionately when he looks down and watches her slowly fall asleep.

She’s never told him about how Sanemi treats her and overworks her when they train together and she forces herself to overwork herself just because she wants Sanemi’s approval as an older, more experienced hashira. Maybe Tanjiro catches this happening one day and right as he goes to help Milo passes out?

It was a nice peaceful day for Tanjiro Kamado.

Well, it was peaceful for the most part. Milo had informed him that she was training with the wind hashira today. Now, normally this wouldn’t be that big of a deal, except for the hashira’s very aggressive and violent behavior. Tanjiro knew he’d be pushing Milo further than she could go. He always did. Not only did he feel frustration and anger at Shinazugawa, he also felt concern for Milo. He knew that she wouldn’t defend herself from the scary man, and that worried him.

Shinazugawa’s harsh words would also often affect her way of thinking. She would often push herself to train harder, even when she was training by herself, which always resulted in her getting violently sick. Then she’d feel guilty for having someone care for her and being out of commission.

Tanjiro felt frustrated because he needed her to see that she was good enough as is. That she didn’t need Shinazugawa’s approval to be a good hashira. He was so wrapped up in his own thoughts that he hadn’t realized he had arrived at the Suzuki estate. Because he was there so often, the few kakushi that were actually there didn’t bat an eye at his presence. He slipped past them with a small bow of the head and made his way to the back garden, a small plate of food in hand.

He didn’t hear any yelling from the wind hashira, had their training ended early? He cautiously listened for any noise. None. Not even the swing of a sword. He then sniffed for a scent. Shinazugawa’s wretched smell was absent, so at least there was that.

His relief was cut short when he finally reached the normally serene and calming garden. His eyes widened as he took in the sight before him. His hands forgot he was supposed to be holding something and glass shattered on the stone below him as he saw Milo’s unconscious body laying on the pebbly ground.

He rushed towards her in a panicked frenzy. His first instinct was to check for a pulse. Phew, there was one. He quickly got to work in picking her up. He carried the unconscious girl bridal style all the way to her small room. He laid her down on the futon and rushed for a washcloth. Once he got the washcloth, he ran it under cold water and went to drape it over her burning forehead. He had no idea how long she had been out like that for, but the idea she’d been outside under the beaming sun for hours upset him greatly.

Tanjiro always loved being around her. But now, he felt a sense of urgency to be with her 24/7. How could Shinazugawa have just left her there? What if she got heat stroke! His thoughts were, once again, interrupted when he heard a small, weak voice calling out to him.

“T-Tanji…? W-Why aren’t I outside? I-I’m supposed to be training-!”

Tanjiro placed a hand over hers and gave her a sympathetic smile.

“Angel, you need rest. I don’t want you getting sick. Nor do I want you to pass out again.”

Milo started to protest, but Tanjiro shushed her with a finger over her lips.

“Before you even start, you’re not any less competent because you don’t live up to Shinazugawa’s unrealistic standards. You’re perfect the way you are, I don’t need you to be any better than you already are. No one does. And I can promise you that we all prefer a happy healthy Milo over a Milo who is draining herself.”

Milo started to tear up. She didn’t think she deserved such loving and comforting words. But she knew better than to deny them. She sat up shakily and buried her face in his shoulder.

“T-Thank you, Tanji. Thank you for loving me so much.”

Tanjiro smiled and returned her hug.

“Of course Angel, now please rest.”

Tanjiro was training with Milo when he noticed that she looked drained and exhausted.

“Hey Milo? Do you want to take a break or stop for today?”

He asked with concern present in both his expression and tone. Milo shook her head and gave him a small smile as her tail swayed back and forth.

“No no…I’m fine, let’s continue.”

She said softly, she was about to continue training when Tanjiro walked over to her and took her hand in his.

“Angel…I can tell you’re tired, come on, we can go cuddle if you want.”

He said with a smile and Milo hesitated before nodding, she didn’t even realize how exhausted she was until Tanjiro brought it up. Milo then let out a soft yawn as her cat ears twitched, Tanjiro thought this little action of hers was extremely adorable which made his smile grow.

He gently picked Milo up and carried her into the house before taking her to her room. He carefully laid her down and lied down next to her as she cuddled up to him. Tanjiro wrapped his arms around Milo and gently scratched behind her ears to get her to relax. He wasn’t all that concerned about her having nightmares since he learned that cuddling helps prevent her nightmares.

“Thank you Tanjiro…”

Milo said and Tanjiro smiled and kissed the crown of her head.

“Of course, just try not to overwork yourself again, I get worried about you.”

Milo nodded before her eyelids grew heavy and she fell asleep in Tanjiro’s arms.

Tanjiro slowly approached you, dropping down to his knees to better scan over your adorable sleeping face. Tanjiro loved every inch of you and he just wanted to stare at you for hours on, his eyes forming love hearts

Instead of taking the spare of his signature haori off you to hang up again, he repositioned it over your revealed skin, alongside the thick blanket so you’ll be nice, snuggly and warm

Just as you deserved to be, Tanjiro was completely willing to keep you protected and bundled up like a sushi roll since his love for you shaped his opinions over you. You went from a friend to the love of his life, where he loves to spoil rotten

Milo was getting too overwhelmed with being in the city, so both her and Tanjiro had to go somewhere secluded so she could take a moment to breathe

...Tanjiro accidentally let go of Milo when he had to take a quick phone call, and she got distracted from something of interest... Luckily he was able to find her quick with his sense of smell.

The two went to get some ice cream and a few snacks! And Milo mainly picked strawberry flavored ones AHAHAHDSFHSD

They saw a matching keychain of their favorite colors and they bought it and used it ever since!!!!

I finally finished the completed version of that sketch i made!<3

Basically what happened when she disappeared while they were on their mission was she got distracted by some fireflies. She followed them, not thinking abt the fact that Tanjiro wasn’t following her, and she got lost. She ran into a demon, thankfully it wasn’t too powerful so she was ok fighting it by herself. So uh, Tanjiro isn’t letting her out of his sight ever again!

A/N: this is a special fic for my lovely friend @larz-barz because she’s feeling down and needs some cheering up. Larz, I love you so much. I love it when you post and I love interacting with you. I am sure everyone else can attest that you are such a lovely person. I hope this can help you to start to feel better ♥️

Tanjiro and Milo were in her room and Milo was crying into his shoulder.

He hadn’t been able to find out what was wrong as Milo had just come up to him in tears. She climbed into his lap so he abandoned the book he was reading and held her close.

They had been like that for about twenty minutes. Tanjiro wanted to let Milo let go of all her negative emotions before asking what was wrong.

Once she did start to calm down, Tanjiro pulled away to look her in the eyes.

“Angel… would you please tell me what’s wrong….”

Milo was quiet for a while before tearing up again.

“A-Am I annoying… do… do I talk too much. Is being around me too mu—”

“Never.”

Tanjiro gave her a serious look and brushed away her tears.

“Angel, I love you more than anything. You are never annoying. You don’t talk too much, and I love being around you.”

Milo was silent as she listened. As much as she didn’t want to admit, his words made her feel so so much better. She hugged Tanjiro again.

“I love you so much Tanji”

“I love you too Angel”
