Excuse me. I may be dumb, but in ... and the Woman Clothed in Sun, we have Bedelia and Will’s conversation about their relationship with Hannibal and it’s going like:

“Bedelia: I wasn't myself. You were. Even when you weren't, you were.

Will: I wasn't wearing adequate armor.

Bedelia: No. You were naked.”

Bedelia tells Will also: “I was with him behind the veil. You were always on the other side.”

I see that people usually understand is that Bedelia was behind the veil with Hannibal when Will never got the chance.

But when I first heard it, the way I understood it was Bedelia was using a defense mechanism to deal with Hannibal, and Will wasn't, because with Hannibal, Will had a chance to be who he really was, that’s why he ended being covered with scars.

And when it comes to: “I was with him behind the veil. You were always on the other side.” I understood it was Bedelia was behind the veil with Hannibal for a while, when Will had always been behind the veil, just like Hannibal, Will is wearing a very well tailored person suit, that's why he was always on the other side.

Can someone tell me if these words can be understood that way, or am I just really stupid to understand it like that?

Woke up at 4am from a hollow knight dreqm to take a piss and now i can't fall back asleep because i'm thinkkng once again about how quirrel didnt commit suicide because it makes no narrative sense and how the fatal flaw of the pale king is that even if his heart despised the vessel plan, he would never listen to it because he placed all his worth on how his actions could benefit of kingdom which means that no matter how agonizing an action would be to him, the thought of stopping would never survive to be seriously considered because he would immidietly label it as selfish and inefficient and shred it to death in the sawtrap that is his mind. Also this is a trait that Hollow themselves inherited, this logic before emotion, so no matter what happened in their life to elicit a reaction, be it fear of the unknown or unattatchrd jealousy of their sister (in the short few months of her early life where PK had the excuse of 'she's small and fragile' to parent her, which abruptly ended once she began to wqlk and babble), it would never be considered in its full because the full weight of needing to save millions of lives from the Radiance's light would overwhelm any sense of personhood within them. Which is why they cannot hate their father- because they would do the same if they were in his position, and did indeed do it to themselves

The biggest wasted opportunity in TGT is that Genya didn't go buck-fucking-wild with her looks once she was not the Queen's servant anymore.

Like, she's a 19yo girl, who has just escaped a very abusive and restrictive lifestyle and is basically a shapeshifter. Homegirl needs to experiment with her looks.

Have a different hair-color every week, just to see which one she likes the best. Try different cuts and styles. Wear pants for once. And if she ends up going back to how she looked before, that's fine, too.

It's a series filled with teenage main characters, it should be about self-discovery, and that includes discovering your visual presentation. Especially with a character who is so defined by her visuals, like Genya.
