Ok but imagine the Noldor trying to have a nice banquet after the entire Finwean Fam has been therapized and released from Mandos. Except Eonwë is the one announcing the names and titles as people arrive (it’s supposed to be a sign of goodwill from the Valor).

All goes well (except when he announces to the entire room that “Fingon Findékano Astaldo Nolofiniwion, Prince of The Noldor and Husband of Maedhros Neylafinwë Maitimo Feanorian” has arrived. In his defense, Eonwë didn’t know secret marriages could last almost four ages). But the Real Drama starts when Elrond arrives.

When Elrond arrives; Eonwë looks at the Peredhel in the entranceway, looks at his magic Scroll of Heritage-Information, and there is a long moment of silence where Eonwë contemplates if he really wants to spend 5 whole minutes announcing Elrond’s heritages.

Eonwë, in the end, decides to take a shortcut. Cuz how wrong could it go? As such, he announced to the Finwean Fam, several courtiers, several politicians, and to the face of Finwe’s actual children that “Elrond, Lord of Imladris Remade, Descendant of Finwë Noldoran and Elwë Singollo, and [Insert Celebrian’s Introduction] has arrived.”

Speculations rise, and whispers are everywhere about what the hell “Descendant of Finwë and Elwë” could mean. (A lovechild, somebody says once jokingly).

Elrond was expecting Earendilion, Neylafinwion, or Kanafinwion, even Peredhel. He was not expecting the first kings of the Noldor and Sindar themselves to be named.

Anyway, the worst part is that because of Mixed Ancestry, Elrond actually does look like a combination of Finwë and Elwë. The lovechild rumors grow.

Back at it again with an Elrond headcanon

Elrond saying Everyone is welcome in Imladris is such a vibe tho because he is inviting Everyone so the people that aren’t chill with Everyone including some war criminals? they have to capitol-L Leave

It’s just a funny thought that Elrond is legally collecting scattered feanorians throughout the ages like pokemon, along with some chill people

Like at some point he finds Maedhros’ old captain living in a cave somewhere in a little feanorian colony and just, diplomatically convinces the little colony of feanorians to live in Imladris.

I can imagine him using everything from food offerings to his upbringing in convincing them to come with him l’mao

at the end of the 3rd age the Imladris population is just 2/3% feanorian and the last 1% is Lindir, Glorfindel and a single doriathrim gardener that looks suspiciously like Daeron.

Day 1: Noontide of Valinor - Darkening ● Fingolfin ● Anairë - Headcanons

• a teenage Turgon once saw Maedhros lift both Maglor and Celegorm at once after they jumped on their eldest brother, the teenage Turgon then proceeded to jump on Fingon and flatten his older brother, who is a head shorter than him.

• Turgon, Aredhel, and Argon inherited their father’s height

• Fingon inherited not his father’s height but his mother’s grace and lithe body type

• All of Fingon’s siblings have flattened him several times

• Argon always greets his oldest brother by flattening him (its the first thing he does when he gets reembodied).

• The first time Fingolfin tried to kiss Anairë he just went for it and ended up headbudding her. Anairë always tells this story at family dinners post-canon.

• When Finwë went with their feanorian cousins to formenos after their half-uncle threatened Fingolfin with a sword; Turgon, Aredhel, and Argon took it as a damning sign of favoritism to the line of Miriel.

• Fingon always defends Finwë’s accidental Line-Of-Miriel-Favoritism in front of others, but never calls himself a scion of Finwë (Maedhros won’t realize this until long after the pre-darkening days)

• When Turgon starts courting Elenwë, his parents (embarrassed and amused respectively) tell him the headbutt-kiss story.

• Turgon still headbutts Elenwë (Idril ends up headbudding Tuor too, it travels down the line to even Elrond and Celebrian, to Elrond’s horror).
