as a swiftie and a t1975 fan if you’re a swiftie who’s weaponizing matty’s addiction and or rehab you’re a terrible person like it’s completely unrelated to anything…actually it’s none of our business if they’re dating or not if they are good for them both of them deserve the best if they’re not i still love their friendship and creative endeavors together and we should all respect them this is just your reminder that using previous addiction or rehabilitation as a forms of tearing someone down (you shouldn’t be tearing anyone down in the first place lol) you’re an asshole and both matty and taylor would hate you

pairing: dad!ross macdonald x fem!reader
summary: it is fathers day, and ross is woken up to a little surprise!
warnings: reader is female, pregnancy, girl dad ross, pure tooth rotting fluff, kind of corny!
word count: 1.2k
the soft hum of 'beacon hill' by damien jurado could be heard from the downstairs kitchen as you slowly walked into your young daughters room. the walls were a soft cream color, white curtains surrounded her crib, giving it a soft and ethereal nature. plants were on the same shelves of her books.
carefully, you pealed back the curtain of her crib, revealing her red and white heart onesie. her soft brown hair had been disturbed from her sleep. she hadn't woken up last night. she hadn't ever been a particularly whiney baby, just very giggly.
as if she could sense that you were now in the room, her chocolatey brown eyes fluttered open. a soft gummy smile graces her tiny face as she registered that her mother was now in the room.
your hair was tucked back into a wavy half up half down situation, finished off with a white bow. you had chosen to go for just a light blush and chapstick for the day. you'd get ready further if your husband decided he'd like to go out for lunch or dinner.
you still wore your white nightgown from the night before. it had slight ribbing and a small bow on the scooped neckline. this was one of ross's favorites.
"hi little lila!" you practically chirped as you reached down to take the one and a half year old out of her crib. once you had secured her in your arms, she grabbed a hold of your right thumb and began to squeeze it.
you took her down into the kitchen where solitude by billie holiday was now playing.
lila was softly placed in her high chair that had been moved to the kitchen by you. she was now being entertained by a few chopped up strawberries you had placed on the tray in front of her.
you tied a light brown apron around your neck and waist as to not stain your favorite nightie, and began to get out ingredients to make a small batch of pancakes for your husband.
the batter had been mixed, now you were just waiting for the stove to heat up. as you did so, you put on a pot of coffee to brew, as well as chopped up some fruits and put them in a small bowl which you then placed next to a porcelain plate on a small wooden plate.
once you had finished cooking up the pancakes, you assembled everything, including the coffee and a card you had made for him on to the tray.
this would be difficult, you thought. how were you going to get both lila and the tray upstairs at once? you supposed you could just carry the tray up quickly, put it on the dresser, then come back down and get lila. so, that was what you settled for.
you got up the stairs with no issue, walking into the room without disturbing ross would be the hassle. you kicked open the door with one foot, but not too hard.
'yes!' you thought once you had successfully set down the tray and walked out of the room.
getting lila and quickly walking back up stairs, you approached the door once more. you shuffled across the floors carefully to ensure no creaks would pursue.
you knocked softly on the white wooden door until small grunts could be heard from inside.
you walked in, lila on your left hip. your apron was long gone by now, showing your adorable little nightgown.
a smile could be seen on ross's bearded face as he saw his two girls enter the sunlit room.
"happy father's day!" you said in a soft, sleep worn voice.
a string of mumbles could be heard from the mouth of lila as ross sat up in the bed.
the both of you softly chuckled at that as you approached your husband to give him a kiss.
"thank you, darling." he said, flustered as he reached out to take lila from your arms.
the little girl immediately clung on to him.
after learning about your pregnancy with lila in late march two years ago now, ross had become obsessed with the little girl. he already loved her so much. but once the girl was born, your shared love for her grew buy 10,000 times the size.
she looked exactly like her mother, except, instead of yours, she had ross's dark chocolate eyes.
this, you were very happy about.
as he held the girl against his chest, you leaned against the bed frame next to him, told him about the breakfast you had made him (which he insisted on sharing with you and lila), gave him the card (which he had teared up at, especially when he saw lila's little scribbles at the bottom), and finally, gave him one last thing.
you swayed out of the room with a slight haste, your night dress flowing with you as you did. you walked into the bathroom, peaked into the cabinet, and took out something quite small.
as you walked back into yours and ross's bedroom, you held the object behind your back in one hand.
ross smiled at you, showing all of his teeth. he was very entranced in what you may have behind your back.
"babe? what do you have?" he asked you.
when you told him to cover his eyes and stick out a hand, he became quite confused.
little lila was now sat beside him, smiling her biggest smile.
you placed the object in his outstretched hand, and after a few seconds, told him he could look.
the sight in front of him let a gasp escape his throat.
a positive pregnancy test.
"is- is this real?" he said with a cheerful laugh, looking up at you eagerly.
you nodded your head with a wide smile and your eyes tearing up slightly.
he jumped out of the bed and picked you up in a tight embrace and spun you around a few times. the pair of you each letting out several laughs.
eventually, he set you down and asked, "how far along?"
"maybe a month or so? i went to the doctors when you were with the boys last week to make sure." you smiled up at your husband.
"oh, this is great, honey! we're gonna be double parents! oh im so excited!" he said again, letting out the cutest laughs and smiles you had ever seen.
he bent down over the side of the bed to drag his little girl closer to him, blowing raspberries all over her stomach.
she giggled so much in those few minutes, you almost thought she may stop breathing.
once the laughing had died down a bit, you took lila into your arms, and were then embraced from behind by ross.
"i'm so lucky to have you, ross. i love you more than you could ever know, and i love loving you." you told him, staring fondly upward at him.
"i love you more, you've given me the best gift a woman can give a man." he whispered in your ear while slowly swaying you and your tired child back and forth.
and so, as the sun shone down on the happy couple, everything was peaceful and serene, and the pair of them were grateful to be alive.
