author’s note. as a person who’s still sleeping w plushies !! it’s totally normal !! and i just thought its a cute idea to write a reaction like that so here u go ^_^ maybe i’ll do other unit versions,, we’ll see!!

like ofc he noticed the plushies on your bed while he visited you

but he thought it’s just a decoration!!

and once you invited him to sleep over

which was supposed to be super cute and relaxing, just the two of you

so all snuggled and watching a movie in your bed, he noticed you were clutching to a plushie of a dog

he frowned and noticed the plushies are all over the bed

"angel, do you sleep with all of those? isn’t jr too cramped?" he teased, grabbing a random one and poking its eye

when he was met with silence, he noticed the pout on your lips :(

and he immediately feels guilty, especially when you clutched the dog even closer

"i was just asking because you know… i don’t want to kick them from the bed in my sleep" jeonghan tried to save himself and it kind of worked

"if that’s a problem i can…" you started and he couldn’t bear it anymore <\\3

“no, no. i’m sorry, i just… im not used to this” he cupped your face, pecking your pout "it’s not a problem. it’s… quite cute"

it takes him a while to get used to all the plushies staring at him lol (and sometimes getting tangled in the sheets between you, him and your limbs)

but he finds it really adorable :”)

joshua entered your bedroom when you asked him to bring a hoodie from there

and he stood there, like a deer caught in the headlights

(haha,, deer… get it?? because he’s… yeah, i’ll shut up)

you were concerned why he’s taking so long and when you saw him peek at the plushies curiously, you gasped

"um, yeah… i still sleep with those…" you mumbled and were met with his ^▽^ smile

"this is so adorable, why didn’t you tell me earlier?” he asked and noticed a deer plushie

when you murmur that you were just shy, he hugs you and places kisses on your face while giggling

you’re seriously the most precious human that he’s ever met :(

and honestly he only fuels your cute habit by buying you more and more plushies

and he just loves when you send him pics of them chilling with you in your bed

or when he cuddles with you and all the cute plush animals surround him hehe

it’s like a new life mission for him,, to buy you all the plushies in the world :”)

especially the deer ones hehe so they can remind you of him <3

you usually hid your plushies when your boyfriend came over,, for the time being you wanted him to think you’re normal lmao

but one day after a date you went to your place

and when you entered your place, jihoon’s lips were immediately on yours.. not even giving you a second to breathe…. messily making out……. the plushies were the last thing you wanted to think about

so when he led you to the bedroom, placing small love bites on your neck;;; you froze

jihoon panicked that he did something wrong but then he saw your face getting red while looking at something

plushies

and then you saw him smile brightly, erupting into giggles

"just when i thought you couldn’t get any more cuter” he snickered "why i never saw them before?"

actually it’s the first thing he notices when he enters your room for the first time ㅠㅠ

you see his shocked expression and feel the rush of embarrassment hit your face

"i, uh… those are–" you started but he walked up to your bed and picked up a fluffy, white cat plushie

"so adorable! and there’s so many of them, woah y/nnie!" he cooed and looked at you, eyes wide "can i touch…?"

and his hearts melt when he sees your face lit up, a visible relief washing over your expression while you nod vigorously

"wait, i can even tell you their names" you grin and he’s so soft like,, moments from melting and turning into a puddle on the floor :((

so for the next hour you introduce every plushie and their names and backstory!!

and he treats them so gently, almost as if they were made out of the finest china <\3

will absolutely love to sleep w you in his arms, alongside the plushies that he knows how much they mean to you

and you allowing him to cuddle w them too is also something that makes seokmin fall for you even more (if that was even possible)

kwannie and you usually did sleepovers at his place but once he asked if you can do one at yours

he saw you tense up a bit and got concerned that maybe he pushed some boundaries

“okay, so?” he frowned like it was (because it is) the most normal thing ever

and he could see how happy n relieved you got ^_^

he needs to get used to it lmao like,, so. many. stuffed. animals.

"and i bought this one because it reminded me of you. i named it booboo" you grinned and showed him an orange plushie with a happy face on it

he swore he could just melt down in this moment, right here right now

but oh my god. gets SO offended when you cuddle booboo to sleep instead of him >:(

“eh, that just sucks” he throws a tantrum and turns his back to you, pouting

but then you put the orange plushie into his arms and wrap your hands around his waist, cuddling him like he was the plushie itself

and atp he doesn’t even care that it makes him the small spoon, he loves the proximity <3

seventeen’s vocal unit when their s/o feels lonely

synopsis: what the title says.

hannie: babies you all day, all night, trying to keep you company, never leaving you physically alone.

jeonghan is the type of person who can be really mischievous and will tease you every time he has the chance, but when he senses that something is wrong he comes to the rescue with lots of babying and fun activities to keep you distracted. he loves to coo at you every minute of the day, secretly hating how you feel lonely, not daring to upset you further by any means; so in conclusion he does anything and everything you want. he would be always by your side even though you might not want it; he would refuse to leave you alone, afraid of the feeling getting stronger in you if he leaves.

“my angel, i know you feel like you might not have anyone but you know that i’m here right? i will always be by my baby’s side.”

shua: sits down with you and tries to understand your feelings.

when it comes the horrible feeling of loneliness joshua is the best person to confide in; he listens to others very well and is always ready to share the burdens you carry with you, whatever they might be. he is a gentle lover, and would do anything to reassure you how good times would be coming soon, and that your feelings are valid, so he would like to have a deeper conversation with you, trying to slowly unravel your mess of emotions in order to help.

“darling i am so sorry you feel this way, but you know what i always tell you. life is very diverse, sometimes you might feel lonely, other times you might not. i will do everything in my power to prove you that i can be your other half, so you don’t feel this way anymore.”

now jihoon is not the most talkative person, and his love language is definitely music, which is why he would love for you to try to get him to feel what you feel by creating music and lyrics. he would be eager to replicate what you think, to give you a piece of himself to which you can say that that is exactly what you were thinking about, to feel that he understands you. he is a big believer in connecting through music and its therapeutic power, so he would work very hard to satisfy you and show you a copy of your mind through music.

dk: drags you out, ranting about wanting to experience many exciting trips with you, trying to make memories to forget how lonely you feel.

dokyeom loves to take care of his lover, and it often comes in the form of food; he would take you to a special place which he had been keeping a secret from you, wanting to use that restaurant for an occasion when you need some cheering up. he is a sunshine so he would be trying really hard to make you laugh lots, so even if for a short amount of time, but you can forget about any worries you had been keeping in yourself. he isn’t pushing on talking about it, since he is afraid you would break like you were some kind of fragile item, so he acts.

“honey, taste this! isn’t it so good? gosh i love this place! i have so many ideas which we can do in the future! don’t worry your pretty little head about anything anymore, let’s stay busy, should we?”

kwan: rests with you in the nature, trying to make you empty your mind for a bit.

he himself tends to feel strong emotions from time to time, and he knows how overwhelming they can be, to actually live life while not being mentally well, so he makes you hit pause. he isn’t trying to tell you what or how to feel, he just simply lets you talk about your thoughts freely, being there, just listening. if you needed advice he would give you some, but otherwise he won’t; he knows you are perfectly capable of expressing what you need, and just gives you that little push to help you find a solution and peace.

“say whatever you need to, i am here. you know you are not alone babyboo, even if you might not completely see what i mean yet. talk it out, then if you want to we will discuss what can be done.”

Almost breaking up - Vocal unit (SVT)

Hello lovlies ~ sorry this one took a while, but it’s finished now <3 And just a fun little fact, Jeonghan’s part is actually (somewhat) inspired by my great grandpa (his “family rule” was to never leave the house angry). Hope you enjoy <3

Triggers: Hospital(?), feelings of not being good enough

Jeonghan: So the two of you had one rule that trumped all the other ones that anyone could set in your household: We do not leave the house angry. And this is how that rule came to be.

The two of you had been having small fights here and there lately, which had resulted in the cold war going on in kitchen of the dorms right now. The two of you were walking around the kitchen, not acknowledging each other as you were preparing the food. Hoshi and Seungkwan who was sitting in the couch observing the two of you with the TV as a cover, was even getting the feeling of the cold aura in the room. And to be honest you were getting a little annoyed by that fact as well, because even if they tried to they weren't were discreet with their staring. Then the sound of Jeonghan slamming down the knife on the counter echoed in the kitchen.

"Just say it!", he said and turned to face you.

"Say what?", you tossed the meat in the pan.

"What ever the fuck is making you such a freaking pain?", you scoffed and put down the pan to turn around and face him.

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me, can't you just talk with me like an adult?", you rolled your eyes at his comment.

"Sure, if you could act like one.", you crossed your arms. "You're the one who started ignoring me."

"Are we throwing around blame now, real mature. What are you, five?", he scoffed and even if the comment didn't seem like much, right now, in this moment, it just felt like it was the worst thing he could say to hurt you.

"Well maybe you should find someone a bit older to date then", you pulled off the apron you'd been wearing and walked to the door.

"Maybe I should!", he screamed after you as he walked to his room.

"Fine!"

"Fine!", and then the bedroom door slammed shut with the front door shortly after.

Seungkwan slowly turned to Hoshi who both were staring at the closed doors, utterly chocked by the fight that had just interrupted in front of them.

Jeonghan woke up in the middle of the night when he heard someone running around in the apartment and a few moments later his bedroom door slammed opened.

"Hey, why aren't you answering your phone?", Seungcheol were standing together with Seungkwan in the doorway, both wide awake and wide opened eyes.

"I put it on sleep mode. What are you doing here?"

"y/n is in the hospital", and now Jeonghan was wide awake and up on his feet, but it felt like his blood hade stayed on floor level.

"What? Why? What happened? Is she okay?", he was already looking half way to the hallway, putting on his shoes and jacket.

"I don't know. Sc/gf/n is her emergency contact, she went there directly and when you didn't answer she told me to go get you.", Seungcheol opened the door and Jeonghan stepped out.

"Call us if you need anything, and when you know more!", Seungkwan said after them and Seungcheol answered something but by this point Jeonghan had stopped listening and was slowly entering panic mode. He didn't even really notice when he sat down in the car and before he knew they were driving.

"Here put on a mask, and pull up your hood.", Seungcheol instructed and tapped on the hand compartment. Jeonghan did as he asked and we tightly gripping his phone, just needing something to grab on to.

"What am I going to do if she isn't…", Jeonghan interrupted himself, not ready to even think the thought.

"We don't know anything yet, don't let yourself go there."

"We had a fight today. A bad one. And the last thing I told her was basically that we should break up.", and even Seungcheol didn't know what to answer to that.

"… she's going to be fine.", was all he could say and the rest of the ride was spent in an anxious silence, and as they got to the hospital, Jeonghan barely let him park the car before getting out.

"Jeonghan!", Seungcheol hissed and ran after him. "Come on, sc/gf/n texted me the room number", and he lead the way.

He heard your voice before he saw you and ran a bit ahead of Seungcheol and breathed out as he saw you sitting up on the hospital bed, a bandage around your hand and head, and a few scrapes visible.

"y/n, are you okay?", he breathed out and sat down on the edge of the bed and carefully scanned you to see if it was anything he missed. He was so focused on you that he hadn't even taken notice to sc/gf/n sitting on the chair next to you.

"I'm okay", you smiled and carefully reached out your hand to take his. He took it and carefully reached up his other hand to caress the bandage on your forehead.

"What happened?"

"I fell down the stairs in my apartment building, got a few scrapes and a concussion but nothing that won't disappear in a week or two.", he nodded and closed his eyes for a few seconds to calm himself down.

"… I'm sorry for earlier today", you said and he opened his eyes to look at you.

"Me too. I'm sorry.", he swallowed back the tears that had been hanging in the back of his throat. "… you don't get to scare me like this again, you got it?", you smiled at him and nodded, but quickly regretting your actions as your head started to throb.

He then proceeded to help you lie down and stayed with you in the hospital the rest of the night. But let's just say that since that day, the rule of never leaving the house angry was created.

Joshua: It was during the time that you were still living in the US, it was pretty early in the relationship where the two of you were still getting used to the idea of being a couple rather than friends. And to be honest, it was a little weird for you. Sure, your heart did beat a little faster when he reached for your hand or you stared at each other a little too long but it was also… awkward. It was like you couldn't just be Joshua and y/n around each other anymore, and you just… didn't know what to do.

So one evening when the two of you were out walking on the streets in LA, walking the same road that the two always walked on the way home from school.

"Joshua..?", you said a bit hesitantly, a bit scared to ask what was on your mind.

"Yes?", he gave you a smile. A classic soft Joshua smile that usually would melt away all your worry.

"Should we go back to being friends?", and he stopped in his tracks, smile half frozen on his lips as he stared at you.

"What?", you turned halfway to him, staring at the trees next to you but still seeing him in the corner of your eye.

"It's just…", you took a deep breath and then you didn't really know how to continue your sentence.

"It's just what?", his voice was harsh, angry, and made you turn your eyes to him. It was pretty rare for him to get angry, especially at you. You could probably count on one hand all the times you had seen him get really angry.

"Did we go around flirting for a year and barely started going out to just break up? No, I don't except that. I refuse to do so!", he walked closer to you, frustration shining in every direction.

"It's just…", you tried again but yet again your words disappeared before you got anything out.

"It's just what! What!? What explanation could you possible have that could mean that our feeling-"

"I don't want to lose you!", you interrupted him and he stopped right in front of you, just with those short words slowly calming down. "We've been so… weird lately and it feels like we're walking on eggshells around each other and I don't like it!", your breathed out as you finally could put words on the emotions you'd been feeling. "… I feel like I'm losing one of my best friends."

"y/n…", he said softly and walked closer to you and pulled you in for a hug. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make it seem that way.", you closed your eyes and leaned into his chest, the familiarity of his arms comforting you like they always had done.

"I do like you Joshua. A lot. Like really, really like you.", he laughed softly and softly stroked your back. "But I don't want to lose everything else we have."

"Me neither.", he breathed out. "I guess I have been a bit… stand-offish. I didn't mean to be but I guess it will take a little while for me to get used to us being a couple. Not in a bad way, its just more like…" you laughed and nodded.

"Like finding a updated pattern of being with each other, I get it. I've been trying to get used to it too.", both of you laughed, feeling a bit ridiculous to have been worried about this.

"Come on, let's go back", he let go of you but reached out his hand to you instead. Your heart fluttered a bit as you took his hand with a smile.

"Yeah, let's go."

Woozi: It was really early in your relationship, and you guys were just not in sync. In fact you guys were so out of sync that you had been together for almost a month but had only seen each other one time except from your first date.

You slept most of the day since you were working with people in Germany at this point, and when you were finally getting off of work and had a few hours to spare, Jihoon was already at work. The two of you were walking around each other, barely even get a text a day in.

Then there was one evening, about twenty minutes before you had a meeting and you got a call from him.

"Hi, it's been a while", you teased, a light tone to your voice.

"Hello, yeah it has", and the tone he had felt like he had thrown a heavy blanked over the mood. You felt like he was going to say something more, so you waited in the silence for a little while.

"… Jihoon? You still there?", he cleared his throat.

"Yes, I'm still here", and then he went quiet again.

"Is everything alright?", he took a deep breath.

"I know that I work a lot, of course you do too but I'm also bad at texting and horrible when it comes to picking up the phone. I sometimes forget to contact you for a few days only realizing that I haven't when I see your texts or missed calls.", he paused and you were getting kind of confused by his rant. To be honest at first you had thought that he was going to break up with you but now you were a bit unsure.

"I want you to know that my life can be that way some times, that I can be that way sometimes. So if you want to break up with me, I'll completely understand.", and then it went quiet again. You waited for him to continue for a while, before you realized that he was waiting for you answer.

"… do you want to break up with me?", you asked slowly.

"No", you breathed out and a smile grew on your face.

"Good, me neither."

"Are you sure?", you let out a little laugh and nodded for yourself.

"Yes. I can also be kind of a mess sometimes when it comes to all this, I mean: I'm the one on a weird schedule right now so if anyone should be blamed for not being in contact for a while it should be me.", you shook your head and you could finally hear how Jihoon breathed out.

"I'm going to Germany in a few days but will be back next week, have any time for me then?", you smiled picking up your computer and getting ready for your meeting.

"Yeah, I'll make sure I do", and you could hear the smile on his face.

Dokyeom: It was during a fight, or well rather than that it was actually after a fight. And to be fair it was Seokmin's fault… mostly.

Like said before, the two of you rarely, like never, fought and that could be a problem sometimes, like when you have a habit to push down your anger until it explodes. Usually it was you who were the one who boiled over the top and were the one to start the fight, which is why you were very a bit caught off guard when Seokmin started it.

It had started with a little playful argument over who should do the dishes, which then grew to an actual argument about who should do the dishes to then a fight about… honestly who knows what, anger probably.

"We can't keep doing this Seokmin, we always do this. These stupid fights that is just coming from nowhere!", you yelled at him from across the room

"Then why do you always bring stuff like this up?", he yelled back at you and you very obviously rolled your eyes at him, jut making the water boil harder. You turned your back at him and walked over to the kitchen to distract yourself, so you wouldn't say something you would regret later.

"I brought it up? You're the one who brought it up! You are the one who always dodges a discussion until it boils over the top! I can't keep having this argument with you, I'm getting fucking tired of being the one who always-"

"We should just break up then!", the two of you went quiet, the statement hanging in the air for a few moments. Then you heard a few steps and then the beeping from the front door before it was slammed shut.

You couldn't even comprehend what was going on right now, what words had just left his mouth.

"Did he just…", you swallowed hard and turned around to see that what you'd fear was true, he wasn't there.

"Seokmin..?", you mumbled and walked over and opened the front door, hoping for all that you had that he was just standing outside. He wasn't.

"No, no, no, no…", you mumbled, picking up your phone to call him, but the phone went directly to voicemail.

After a while of trying to contact him, you had to leave to meet a friend who you had promised to help out. When leaving you shot out a quick text to Seokmin, simply stating that you had to go help a friend out but that you wanted to talk when he got back.

You came back about one and a half hours later, tired both from the fight and all lifting you did to help out your friend.

"y/n", you were almost frightened at the sound of the quiet shaky voice, before you felt his arms circling your upper body, trapping you to his chest.

"Seokmin..?", you asked quietly and you heard him sniffling, before he pressed his face into the crook of your neck.

"I thought you left for real.", his arms tightened around yours, trapping your arms against your sides. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean what I said, and I shouldn't have left. I'm sorry, I don't want to break up. Please don't break up with me", he sniffled and you felt how your fingers twitched to turn around and hug away his pain.

"… I left a message but you didn't answer.", you whispered and he nodded.

"The battery died. I didn't know", you stood there for a while and letting him hug you, to comfort you but also to comfort him.

"… Never again Seokmin, never say anything like that unless you actually mean it", you whispered with a tone that let him know that you were completely serious. He breathed out and loosened his grip on you, allowing you to turn around and face him.

"Never again", he confirmed and you let yourself fall into his hug again.

Seungkwan: Balancing work and studies is hard. And balancing, work, studies and an idol boyfriend… well that's really hard. So hard in fact that you had no idea to do it, no matter what you did you were neglecting something. And most often that something was Seungkwan, which made you feel like an awful girlfriend and in turn made you feel bad for thinking about your own feeling rather than Seungkwan's.

So, the two of you were at your place, Seungkwan was sitting and watching some variety show while you sat on the floor in front of him studying for a test, and feeling miserable for not being able to lay all your focus on your boyfriend when the two of you finally had time.

"Seungkwan…", your voice was horse, the tears already staining your voice and burning behind your eyelids.

"Yes?", he paused the show and shifted all his focus to you.

"Are you sure you want to be with me?", you scratched with your pen on the paper, doodling some random lines and patterns.

"Yes", he said without even hesitating, and you turned to him with a serious gaze.

"I don't mean just right now I mean like, are you sure that you want to be in a relationship with me?", he breathed in and gave you a soft smile.

"The answer is still yes", he leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to your temple.

"You shouldn't", you sniffled and quickly dried away the tears that had fallen. "I'm a horrible girlfriend."

"And why would you say that", he glided down to sit on the floor next to you and took the pen from your hand.

"What do you mean why? You could finally get some time off to spend with me but I can't even spend any time with you because I have to study.", you sniffed and he let out a soft laugh and carefully used his sleeve to wipe away some tears from your cheek.

"Do you even listen to yourself? I finally could get some time off work to spend time with my girlfriend. I'm busy too. Does that make me a bad boyfriend?"

"You're an amazing boyfriend", you answered quickly and he placed an arm around your shoulders.

"And you're an amazing girlfriend. I get that you have to study and work, and during some periods we'll have a hard time seeing each other, I mean I'll go on tour in a few months.", you felt how the tears started to slow down and your breaths got more stable. "I'm happy to just be next to you, y/n.", you smiled and nodded.

"I'm happy to be next to you too", he smiled and patted you on the head.

"Good. Now, go back to studying, I don't want you to fail that test because of me", you let out laugh at his strict voice and sniffled.

"Yes, sir!"

Joshua had been living with you for a few years now. He had seen you at your worst, holding you with no plans of letting you go, but also patiently waited until you were okay to ask for a date. Although you were stunned at his bold approach, a date was all it took for you to see through him. He was in love, with you. And who were you to deny him of receiving love he deserves?

So here you were, in a relationship with Shua, living life at a day’s pace. Waking up to him and sleeping with him had been the best times of your days, as you get to be so close and accessible to his heart. It was one of your unspoken routines to brief about the day, after and before going to bed. And just like any other day, you were getting ready for bed while Shua wrapped up things in the kitchen. Like there was a braincell being shared, both of you enter the room, smiling at each other while getting under the comforters. While he already got tucked in with a book, you were making sure to moisturise your skin and letting it dry before tucking yourself in. Unknown to you, Shua had been observing your actions – from how you got the cream, to the way you gently massaged them into your arms while making sure to leave no spots and flapping your arms for the lotion to dry away faster and to the saturated smile on your face while doing all of these. Shua finds his mind reeling and he’s suddenly so extremely proud of how far you’ve come.

Having your heart broken by your best friend, things had been quite hard but you had taken your time to heal and Joshua had been nothing than patient with you. However, you were made sure to acknowledge your efforts which was his task daily as you tend to shrug your hard work away as nothing. Joshua’s seen all of it, almost. His heart swells at the sight of you and by the time you turn around, tears pool in his eyes, making him look away. Concern takes over you as you barely see Shua cry, because he always talks if anything’s bothering him. You move further towards him, taking his hands as he looks up to you, tears still streaming down his pretty face.

“Hey, I'm here. Whatever it is, you'll be okay. Everything will be okay, I’ve got you”

Hearing this makes Shua cry harder, now a sobbing mess in your arms as he presses himself further into your shoulder. Soft I love you’s escape from him, in between his sobs while you hold him dearly. Just like he's held you, so many times that you can't count of. You're so patient and gentle with him, all Shua wants to do is lose identity and leave to somewhere where he can be by your side all the damn time, for the rest of his life.

A while passes by as Joshua collects himself, breaking away from your hold while reaching for the glass of water by his side. You see him chug it down, while worrying if something’s up. He turns to you, hands moving to hold your face while he slowly brings his forehead to yours.

“I’m not sorry that I cried so much and wet your pajamas, but I love you. And I will make sure you know that, each minute of my life.“ he pauses, trying to collect his breath while you think of speaking.

“Shua, I love you too. I'm always by you no matter-“he cuts you off, placing a little kiss on your mouth.

“No, I'm not done yet.”

Leaning forward, he takes a deep breath before getting started again.

“You are so much. Good, bad or whatever, you are so much and I love you for that. You care so much about people around that you forget to care for yourself. But that's okay, because I will do that for you till my last breath.”

Uh oh, the dams break loose again. Wiping his tears in one, he continues as he holds your face in the other.

“I'm so proud of how far you've come. You're so much stronger than you think of and I love you so much that it makes me bawl my heart out. You deserve so much more and while I make sure of you receiving that, I will also love you to my fullest, babe. I love you” *hiccup* “so much.” he ends, crying through his hiccups.

You heart is warm and humid at how much love you have for him, it’s disgusting!!!(actually, adorable) At a loss for anything to be told, you just hug Shua tighter than ever, leaving feather kisses on his knuckles and shoulders while waiting for him to calm down.

In no time, he’s well hydrated and fast asleep, tired from all the crying as you tuck him in, slowly sliding in while he catches your wrist. You can hear a faint I love you from him, as you lie down facing him. He’s so pretty and your heart burns in love for him.

“I love you too, Shua. Always.” you whisper, drifting off to start yet another loving day with your best person.

seokmin knew something was on your mind. and it has been for a while now.

at first he didn’t notice, then it didn’t bother him that much.

sure, leaving without his goodbye kiss or coming back home and not getting his welcome kiss hurt his ego but maybe you needed some space?

“what’s wrong?” he asks once you’re in bed, brows furrowed. you snap out of it though, looking at him.

“huh? nothing’s wrong” you smile sweetly and dokyeom wonders how someone can look so ethereal.

“come on, i can clearly see there’s something bothering your pretty head” he greens cheekily and you just sigh, resting your cheek against your hand so your next words are muffled.

“nothing”

dokyeom grins and you swear the room just lit up.

then he sits next to you, almost crushing you, and tilts his head.

“come on, talk to me. you’ve been acting weird lately” he sighs but still smiles, which makes you even sadder.

“i know. i’m sorry” you put your hand down and look at him, thinking how to say out loud what worries you. you feel blood rushing to your cheeks because how embarrassing and stupid it is…

“baby” seokmin scoffs and shakes his head “you’re so cute but that won’t make me distracted”

“it’s just… dumb” you laugh and cover your face.

“i don’t care. and it’s probably not. come on, tell me. i won’t laugh if that’s what you’re worried about” he coos, gently grabbing your wrists and removing your hands from your face. then he grabs them, interlocking his fingers with yours.

“well… you remember that play? you recently took part in? xcalibur?”you mumbled, looking at him. seokmin nods, not sure what’s it about.

“yeah, obviously i remember that” he encourages you to continue talking. you take a deep breath and look down, at your (and his) hands.

“well that kissing scene… i know, i know we talked about it and i said it’s okay with me as long it’s okay with you. but—” you halt, biting your bottom lip. and dokyeom waits. he patiently waits for you to finish “forget it…”

“no, finish. please. i want to know what’s on your mind” he says gently, rubbing your hands with his thumbs.

“it’s… like… i was just thinking if you know… she’s–” you exhale deeply, next words barely audible “–better kisser than me…”

seokmin is actually surprised. shocked, even.

“that’s why you weren’t giving me kisses?” he pouts and quickly retreats upon seeing your sad expression “baby. i’m so, so glad you trust me. the fact that you said that the decision is up to me, not to you when it came to the kissing scene means a lot to me. if i knew it would be on your mind i–”

“no, min. it’s your career. it’s like… i would say you can’t do sexy dances because i’ll be jealous others can see this side of you” you scoffed and managed to look back at him “but i was just… wondering…”

“your kisses are angelic”

your eyes widen and you try to calm your racing heart even though it’s almost impossible.
