There is No Such Thing as Ghosts (Hamefura AU)

Shirayuki should have known that no good would come from Professor Garrack’s invitation to visit the Magic Ministry.

The day begins much like any other at the Clarines Magic Academy. She heads for the garden early, hoping for a leisurely day in the garden tending to her “flowers” and stocking her always-dwindling supply of medical herbs. It is time to harvest some meadowsweet and the mint needs to be conquered before the next rainy day helps it succeed in its attempted takeover of the entire western part of the plot. She also needs to keep an eye on the calendula and echinacea – buds are bursting everywhere, and it was important to collect them for drying at their peak freshness. A second pair of hands is always useful during this part of the season, so it’s a good thing Obi has, as usual, accompanied her on her daily check of the garden.

I think got a little over excited and colored 5 pannels(cause I like her tooo) 😂😂 . I was going through the arc to find nice yuzuri pannels, she was mostly with the gang, like in the first pannel,I kinda felt bad for clearing them there 😂😂

Successfully found other only yuzuri pannels,but still suzu sneaked in some how 😂(they were looking at izana in that pannel right,I don't know how I made it look as if they were seeing some ice queen😂❄️❄️)

I will be pinning this post to my blog for easy finding, and collect all my available linearts in a list. I’d have made a page, but redirect pages don’t show on mobile so this is the better decision. It’ll probably take some time to fully update, as some of my linearts are strewn all over the place ^^; Like, the rule will be, if the art isn’t listed here, I do not have the lineart. Maybe I never saved it, or it has been lost. I apologize beforehand for this.

All the art is in PNG format. This means that if you use software like Clip, SAI, PS, or even Gimp, they will recognize the transparency (the blank spaces) and be easy to color. 19) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to?

Hmmm, this is hard to reply, because if I don’t feel that a story is completed I will do a sequel, and if I feel that a story is completed than I won’t.

I feel particularly compelled to write a sequel (more like... prequel?) to the Suzu x Shirayuki drabble I wrote some time ago, because I want to write the Obi x Yuzuri part of it. I may also want to write a new additional thing for my OiSuga story, Graduating.

20) Are there any stories that you wished you’d ended differently?

Well, this ask implies that I have actually ended a (several chapter) story, which is an achievement I have rarely accomplished in my life^^” but no, not one story whose ending I would change comes to mind.

21) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire?

Ok, so the way @claudeng80 writes is so mesmerizing, the way she sets the mood is just perfect and gosh, the vocabulary and the sentence structure and the rhythm of the words... I am no native speaker so I can only wish to be able to express myself with this much life in my words one day^^

Suzuri headcanons please?

Suzu is older (I imagine he’s more around Mitsuhide’s age of 23/24, while Yuzuri is more around Obi’s age of 21/22)

Yuzuri isn’t from Wilant/Lyrias; she trained elsewhere and then transferred to Lyrias when a position opened

I honestly hope she’s from wherever Mitsuhide is from, because that would be HILARIOUS

Like please imagine bb Yuzuri trailing around after bb Mitsuhide, constantly getting them into trouble, and then Mitsuhide getting blamed because he’s older

Kiki meets her and just says, this explains so much

Yuzuri has been working for Lyrias for a few months when Shidan asks if she’ll help his student with his thesis

Suzu has some overly complicated hypothesis about rhizomes, and needs regular access to the hothouses, sometimes at odd hours

Her first impression of Suzu was that he was one of those eccentric genius types, and after the third time he wakes her up at 3am to go to the exotics collection she changes that to just eccentric.

Suzu’s first impression was, oh no she’s cute, which is replaced in the following weeks by low-key annoyance

Early morning timepoints are very important in long-term research, but he wouldn’t expect a botanist to understand

They are both entirely stymied as to how they became actual friends

By all accounts, it doesn’t make sense

His first year at Lyrias, Suzu had a very serious girlfriend who eventually left him to go pursue herbalism elsewhere

Yuzuri never met her (long before her time), but even the mention of her sets Yuzuri up the wall

Suzu has never said the reasons his girlfriend left, or where she went, but if you ask Yuzuri she definitely has opinions

Suzu and Yuzuri never make actual plans to hang out; they just tend to show up where the other one will be

They only start making concrete dinner plans when Obi, Shirayuki and Ryu are at Lyrias, because as much as they have tried, Shirayuki and Ryu are no good at spontaneous dinner plans

Yuzuri went from a small town to Lyrias, so in her first few years, she was a little overwhelmed with -- options. She’s gotten caught in the storeroom more than her fair share of times

Suzu usually knew to go looking for her if he hadn’t seen her in an hour or so; Yuzuri was curious, but not that curious

Despite the fact that this is clearly ancient history, Suzu still thinks of her as someone who goes for a quick make out in the storeroom

This is obviously confusing to Obi and Shirayuki, who can’t help but notice she’d either working, with Shirayuki, or with Suzu. Like when does this girl have time to make out with boys?

I prefer men now, she says pointedly, to someone who almost certainly misses the point
