Finally made the sushi bake recipe (video here! And full recipe is here)
Tumblr media
I used gochujang and kewpie while it baked, then mixed it with an offset spatula while it cooled and did another drizzle of mayo to finish. The perfect salty and sweet balance.
I also got so excited I forgot to get out the avocado and cucumber, but I will add them for leftovers 🥒🥑

“Sushi bake” poke bowl thing;
It’s not a sushi bake because baked sushi is a no in my opinion but it’s like sushi nachos in a way. It’s sushi in some form basically.
Ingredients shred all of these; carrots, cucumber, avocado, salmon (if raw get sushi grade so you don’t 😵) , imitation crab (use real crab if you want but who wants to pick for shells honestly). Mayo either Japanese or American, siracha , and panko bread crumbs.
Cook your salmon season with salt, garlic and onion powder, and olive oil. Add your shredded cucumber, carrot, crab, and salmon to a bowl with the mayo and siracha. Mix that shit good and well. Top with the bread crumbs. You could bake it but I don’t. Serve with sushi rice and nori on the side or ginger or more veg, honestly all three. Man add some mango dragon fruit salsa on the side. It’s light it’s healthy, it’s easy and yes it tastes good.

oooh do you have the sushi bane recipe! i have always wanted to try making one! thank you! 💜
hi! yes I do have it, it's from a tiktok creator called @gaming_foodie
take 1/2lb of salmon and season it with pepper & garlic, we cooked ours in the air-fryer @ 400 for 10 minutes, but you could also do a regular frying pan.
then take 1/2lb imitation crab or ig real crab if you're a millionaire and cut it a bit into more manageable pieces
add the cooked salmon and mix together with approx half a container of cream cheese (aka 3oz) or less if you want it a little less rich.
add a fat squeeze of kewpie mayo (japanese mayo wtv kind u got) and a load of sriracha and mix it like crazy
then take ur pan (we used a simple 9x9 glass pan) and put 2-3 cups cooked rice in (we liked when there was more rice as it felt like a denser bite if that makes sense so do with that as you will)
flatten the rice as much as u can
take dried seaweed sheets (used about 3) and crumple it so its kinda shredded and put that atop ur rice
then put the salmon/crab/condiment mixture on top and spread it evenly around
bake that at 380 for 10 min in the oven
at this point its done cooking but you def wanna add some more sriracha and spicy mayo if you have it because its soooo good and then top with green onions and sesame seeds
then we ate it with dried seaweed wraps and per the creator you could add cucumber/avocado but we didnt have any and it was still fantastic.
we literally demolished 3 of them in about a week and a half. its communal so just grab some spoons and dish it into ur wraps or just bowl if u want and go to town. it was really really good and most of the flavor came from the condiments so I felt it was a really good price point of like about 4 servings each time (based on what we made and how much we ate in one sitting) but in fairness we did get some of the salmon from my roommates parents so keep that in mind. im sure you could use any fish and it'd be quite good!
anyway it was bomb.com so highly recommend trying it at some point
