Summary: Katsuki loses his quirk to All For One when he gets kidnapped at the training camp and his life is a mess. On one hand, for the first time in his life he can feel emotions other than anger and stress now that his body isn’t fighting the nitroglycerin it produced, on the other hand, he has absolutely no clue how to deal with said emotions. How the tables have turned; is this karma for how he treated Izuku all their childhood?

Frankie’s comment: A looooot of angst, like, a shit ton for real. But also, Izuku is so supportive and the plot has so many twist that make you go daaaamn! Also? the starting idea in itself is interesting; I had never thought about the possibility of Katsuki’s quirk having such side effects but it does make a lot of sense and I’m all for realistic and logical fics, I love them when they make sense and this one makes a loooot of sense. It’s pretty long and somewhat repetitive especially in the last 20ish chapters but I’d say it’s worth it😍🧡💚

The wonderful @aatticsaltt contacted me and helped me work out a new listing for mini-comics! Sort of a first for me. Working on this was wild, but rewarding! Figuring out the setting, background-character designs, and smaller details was a super fun learning experience.

This is a comic based on the first chapter of this support!deku fic, which I highly recommend you read if you want a good slow-burn! The first chapter is possibly my favorite, starting the story off with great imagery and consistently good characterization. There are a lot of feel-good and funny moments throughout the fic, as well as some absolutely gut wrenching scenes (and many more of both to come). Please check it out!

And just as a side note about Salt: I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with her and have her as a friend. It’s been an incredible pleasure.

Remember when Kacchan complained about Izuku obviously skulking around with All Might and how they need to be less conspicuous about their connection with each other? When you think about it, no one cared that much what the heck Izuku was up to… except for Kacchan himself. And in hindsight, that interaction is just so freaking cute. Just because this guy is always hyper aware of Izuku and the people surrounding him and absolutely concerned with his business, he thinks others will be too.

Take Season 2 for example at the sport festival… How did he even come to eavesdrop on Todoroki in the first place? By following and being invested in what Izuku was doing with him because Kacchan got so jealous about Todoroki declaring war on his shitnerd 😩 he couldn’t stand the idea of them going off alone somewhere together.

Stop the cap. You were there because you followed Izuku, Katsuki. 

Kacchan’s always overly concerned about Izuku and on top of that, he was jealous of Shouto taking his rival nerd from him. So when he got curious seeing them go off somewhere alone, he followed them and eavesdropped.

And another time he eavesdropped on Izuku in Heroes Rising.

He’s so focused on whatever Izuku’s doing or saying, he tunnel visions like hell. Here he forgot about his icey and it melted off the stick. 

Not only does he always give Izuku his undivided attention, he definitely wants it returned.

Izuku’s always looked at his back, right? Whether that was walking behind him in the woods, or being seated behind him in class... I think at some point Katsuki came to crave his gaze on him and secretly loved his praise too and that feeling was exposed in the joint training arc with his “Keep your eyes on me, Deku” 😂

Turns out you’re allowed to be obsessed with Kacchan, Izuku. He was just being a hypocritical tsundere whenever he said stuff like this:

Then you flip the hate around because it turns out he was wrong to hate that person in the first place after all, and what does Katsuki’s obsession start to look like? Maybe a little something like this.

They’re obsessed with each other and always have been and this is perfectly fine. It used to be very antagonistic attention on Katsuki’s end but his attention has since become all soft and gentle because now..? Now he’s just in love. ❤️ And that’s the tea~ ☕️

If we are really getting the Quirkless Izuku ending, once again manifesting that we get some form of Katsuki wanting Izuku to be his Hero partner or something in the future, despite him being Quirkless

Including some form of the convo of Izuku saying, "but Kacchan I'm Quirkless, I can't be your Hero partner" and Katsuki basically telling him he IS a hero with or without a Quirk

Bonus points of Katsuki calls Izuku HIS hero.

The story would have started out with Katsuki telling Izuku there was no way he'd ever be a hero without a Quirk and pushing him down

And ends with Katsuki telling Izuku that his heroism has nothing to do with his Quirk(or lack thereof) and everything to do with HIM, and picking Izuku up.

Idk if that is what hori will go for but it would be neat 🤷‍♀️

On the first night together, he immediately introduces a gag into play

At the wedding, when Izuku wrote “Thank you” on the cake with icing, Aizawa, not looking at the cake, but just at the sky, grabs the icing with his bare hand, crushes it, and eats it from his hand

On their wedding night, he kiss Izuku so much that he completely forgets how to put words into a sentence

When their first child is born, Aizawa deliberately wakes up his daughter and subjects himself to the terrible test of a night without sleep

For his multi-year anniversary, he invites both Miss Joke and Present Mic at the same time so that no one hears anything at all

As Izuku dies, Aizawa shuts him up one last time with his beloved katsudon

...

In the last entry of Izuku's last book, the last line of the postscript was written: "Thanks for letting me buy those crumb cookies even though Recovery Girl said no. I needed it"

Aizawa reads this. And falls apart
