assigning a Pokemon to every Doctor Who

Because I Want To(TM)

Gonna do this within the specific Pokemon/Doctor Who crossover AU framework of: 1. Pokemon exist everywhere in the universe and 2. The Doctor's partner Pokemon is actually connected to the TARDIS. It's like a little part of her personality that she sounds out to accompany the Doctor and help them out.

Also, I'm choosing first-stage Pokemon, mainly so that there isn't imbalances in strength between choices. Let's just say that this TARDIS partner Pokemon can evolve on the fly when needed but prefers to be small and cute.

Okay, with that out of the way, let's go!

First Doctor: Eevee It's a classic that's full of potential, not quite done cooking but already iconic.

Second Doctor: Zorua Crafty yet adorable. I can just picture Jamie and Zoe cooing over it and lapping up all the adoration. Illusions are very, very handy in a pinch!

Third Doctor: Pichu It can power his gadgets! It can nibble on wires to foil villains' plans! It matches the color scheme of his sonic screwdriver!

Four Doctor: Cottonee Extremely fluffy- I like to think it hides in his hair. Insert grass-type-weed joke here.

Fifth Doctor: Fomantis It rides around on his lapel instead of the celery! Also, its evolution Lurantis has matching baconpants.

Sixth Doctor: Litten It's a cat, it's a fire type, I shouldn't really need to explain this one. (It uses Sunny Day to help give Peri's plants sunlight!)

Seventh Doctor: Murkrow Clever, shady, and has a nice hat. (I also headcanon Ace with a Combusken, so Seven & Ace both have birds.)

Eighth Doctor: Litwick Ghostly candle matches his gothic edgelord vibes. Probably won't steal your soul.

War Doctor: Lucario Making an exemption to the first-stage rule because the Warrior doesn't have time to mess around. Despite joining the Warrior in full-on combat, Lucarios have an in-built sense of right and wrong. Proof, perhaps, that the Warrior hasn't entirely lost his way...

Ninth Doctor: Houndour A bit intimidating, a bit prickly, but deep down, it's still a good dog at the end of the day.

Tenth Doctor: Shinx Keeping with the canine themeing but this time upping the cuddly. Don't think too hard about how dangerous electricity can be.

Eleventh Doctor: Rowlet Okay, this one's just cuz it has a bowtie.

Twelfth Doctor: Noibat It's a living boombox! I like to think that the Noibat holds a guitar sound cord in its mouth to amplify the Doctor's guitar playing through its ears.

Thirteenth Doctor: Swablu Similar typing and evolution line to the previous, but this one takes the joyful exterior to the max. It even matches her color scheme!

I got one Pokémon, Cove's got two. He's got a Cherrim named Sunni, and a Yanma named Razor. I think that's how you spell it. Oh, and I have a Murkrow named Krow. Don't make fun of the name, I came up with it when I was ten.

And, as for favorite...? I dunno, I like Shinx. I think Cove likes Sneasel. They always freaked me out, though.

I gotta get out of the Obsidian Fieldlands man. I’m at star-rank 7, I’ve got ultra balls and great balls and shit, some of my Pokes are about to be level 50, and I’m catching alpha mons at level 60 and higher lmao. And all Pokemon obey me now soooooo I’m wrecking some shit.

It’s gotten to the point where I kinda know my way around the fieldlands by heart, so some of the magic has been taken away. I have almost 50 hours clocked into the game now, and most of that is due to shiny hunting lol. Oh! And speaking of shines, I went mass outbreak hunting today, and you know what I saw? A shinx outbreak.

Two shinx outbreaks.

The very fucking thing that I couldn’t find for four days straight.

So I tried out the outbreak chaining method and caught two shiny shinxes! I named one Iuluis Caesar and the other one Lil’ Devil lol

Ol’ JuJu is gonna be a luxray and Lil’ Devil is gonna stay as a luxio.

Then I caught a shiny kricketune and a shiny pichu (which looks even less distinguishable than a non-shiny in this game...). And when I LEAST expected it when I was running around retrieving satchels like a growlithe, I found a shiny machop waiting for me in the Oreburg tunnel! That was something else. I heard the little jingle that played as I was descending into the depths and thought “oh, this is gonna be a good one.”

Oh and why tf is there a bug in the game that makes sunny day form cherrim licherally uncatchable???? I found that out the hard way!!!

Okay, you'll get one last story, but it's only from the fact that I just realized I can use words to write whatever the heck I want.

Basically... It's a pokémon AU in one of my other pokémon AU's world.

I've had this AU where some people can size-shift since I was 16. It was originally with my characters Nicole and Camilla, who are lesbian and pan respectively. (their story is flipping wild, but that's for the main blog if I ever talk about it)

A few details about size-shifting:

Size-shifters like to swallow people they care about and keep them in their stomach (it's a vore AU, obviously)

Size-shifters can also be eaten safely when small

Size-shifting can be triggered by emotions, but it isn't always.

Size-shifting is genetic.

There's a bit of hatred towards size-shifters, that comes from fear. A lot of people don't know that being eaten by a size-shifter is safe. It's also never talked about as anything other than a "size-shifters are evil cannibals" thing.

Details about this AU specifically:

Amity is the size-shifter and she's going to be the pred, because I realized I barely ever wrote giant Amity.

Amity has a golett instead of a grimer, because that's actually a bit closer to what abominations do.

Luz’s first pokémon was a shiny shinx, who is named Sunny. (Shinx because flashing and light, shiny because... I think the name Sunny fit it better that way)

Willow isn't in the story I'm working on, but she has a Carnivine. I think it looks more like the carnivorous plants than victreebell.

Gus also doesn't feature in the story, but he obviously had to have a zoroark or zorua. Their thing is literally illusions.

I actually have a whole thing about the covens and tracks and typings though, so it means that Amity can only use pokémon that are also ground, Willow can only use pokémon that are also grass, Gus can only use dark, Beast Keeping is dragon, Healing is normal, Potions I didn't know, Construction is figthing, Bard is also not decided, Oracle is psychic, and the emperor's "coven" (haven't decided on a name) are just the strongest trainers with mixed teams.

It's a bit different from the regular pokémon world, as you can see. People in the pokémon world usually aren't forced to only use one type, it's something they pick on their own. But I want the world to still function like the Boiling Isles.

This world of pokémon is a little more realistic. I have no idea if I should make Luz a regular trainer, or someone from a pokémonless world. But if I do, she can still have her... "oh, this world is not what I thought it was! Can I go home?" from ep 1 s1. (I'm not writing the beginning of it either way)

That's really all the details I can think of... The plot in the story is just "Amity tells Luz she's a size-shifter, before asking to eat Luz, but Luz isn't too comfortable with the idea at first." (might save that for a summary lol)

I don't care if the story will seem OOC, I have realized my power as a writer and I'll write whatever crazy stories my brain comes up with!

Also, I can totally see why Luz, a character who wanted to learn magic, would want to be a writer. It's basically magic, because you can make anything happen in people's heads just by typing a few words.

Example:

George tilted his head, looking down at the old vhs tape in front of him. "There's a giant cow that eats people in this movie?" he asked, looking up at his friend who it gave to him. "Is it a so-bad-it's-good kind of movie?"

His friend nodded. "Absolutely, it's like someone snorted as much coke as they could before they sat down to write." She grinned at him before continuing. "And then they recorded the actors who were just as high."

See? I just made a little story and you imagined it! Really I just recently had a realization that I can literally make anything happen just by writing and that's super motivating.

Favorite original character: I used to have this Charizard/Shinx hybrid character, generic “lab experiment” backstory, but I really liked her! My only current one is Radiorant, so he might win by default.

Bullies: Shani Valencia

Shani lived in the Unova region with a clan of other shifters, however, she left the clan as the current leader was being a dictator as he was very harsh when it came to punishments, Shani soon left to find other shifters to make her own clan. During her search, she met Renee not long after Renee was bitten and the two became great friends. When Renee told Shani about how she was nervous about telling her parents she’s a Were-Mightyena, Shani was the one who encouraged her to tell them what happened and she almost did until Renee found out that her parents worked for Cipher, when Shani heard she immediately offered Renee a place to live. They were found by Janja and a few others and joined his group. Shani is known for her sassy nature, she actually gets along with Chetari.

Her Pokemon:

Pyroar- Shani caught her Pyroar back when she was a Litleo that had just left the pride, the two bonded and became close friends, which is when Litleo would follow Shani around. When she entered the first town she managed to buy a Pokeball and officially caught Litleo and not long after training and battling, Litleo evolved into Pyroar. As a Litleo, Pyroar was silly and very friendly, she would always make Shani and Renee laugh by doing silly little tricks and dances but when she evolved she became almost motherly to Shani, Renee and Shani’s Shinx since she’s still young and needs a mother figure. She’s very protective of her trainer and her other teammates, often being the first one to protect them when danger is around. She mostly stays out of her Pokeball.

Ability is Rivalry.

Moves are Hyper Beam, Flamethrower, Overheat, Hyper Voice, Sunny Day, Solar Beam, Return, Fire Blast, Round and Retaliate.

Shiny Shinx- Shinx was abandoned by her pride once she hatched revealing her yellow coat instead of a normal blue coat, as soon as she was left behind she was scared and would always run away from trainers to catch her or other Pokemon attacking her, she felt alone, scared and betrayed whenever she managed to find a hiding spot, there were times she wanted to rip out her fur because that was what would cause so much pain for her but something always stopped her. Soon she met Shani’s Pyroar and was happy to have a mother figure and when she first saw Shani, she was afraid of what Shani would do to her but was surprised to see how gentle Shani was. Once Shinx was comfortable being with Shani she let herself be captured. Even if she’s in a better living environment, Shinx is still scared and timid, as such she clings to Shani, Shani’s Pyroar and Shani’s Zebstrika as she never got a mother's or father’s affection. She’s also afraid of battling Pokemon bigger than her and would rather use moves like Flash, Thunder Wave, Baby-Doll Eyes or Quick Attack to getaway instead of fight. She’s healing slowly and will recover with time.

Caught in a Luxury Ball.

Ability is Intimidate.

Moves are Thunder Wave, Flash, Quick Attack, Baby-Doll Eyes, Thunder Fang, Ice Fang, Howl, Spark, Charge, and Round.

Zebstrika- Shani found Zebstrika when he was still a Blitzle. Blitzle was a bit of a loner and wouldn’t really say much to anyone, it was after he evolved that he started to open up to the others on the team. He gained a crush on Pyroar and shortly after confessing they became official mates and he sees Shinx as a daughter, in return, she sees him as a father figure. In battle, he’s rougher and he has a bit of a short temper, he’s also easily irritable both in and out of battle, he also can conduct a lot of electricity and will sometimes need to discharge it so he could stay calm but at the same time if he doesn’t get enough he can lose energy, so Shinx has to give him some of her electricity or Shani has to give him electricity herself by pedaling an exercise bike attached to a light bulb and have Zebstrika absorb the electricity it produces.

Ability is Lightning Rod.

Moves are Ion Deluge, Stomp, Wild Charge, Thrash, Agility, Thunderbolt, Round, Magnet Rise, Return and Low Kick.

"What do you think of your new friend?" Melina asked one of the bobcats, affectionately called Shinx (obviously by Taras a few years ago) that was delicately perched onto the tree branch above her, enjoying the sun that was radiating today like a normal house cat would. Melina had decided to spend the weekend at one of the closer animal sanctuaries she had, this one was her favourite and the first she had set up.  It was mostly focused on exotic animals and bigger cats, nestled in the forest quite close by so they had plenty of space to roam around in the environments they had been deprived of for most of their lives. More importantly, it wasn't too far away from home. She had lions, tigers, leopards and bobcats, as well as bears that had all been rescued from various upsetting situations. Anyone who knew Melina knew that there wasn't anything she wasn't willing to do for them.

The bobcat Melina was talking to, whilst she was laying on a rug underneath the tree watching the lions play with each other in the distance, liked to gossip a lot. It surprised a lot of people when Melina told them that animals had very active social lives amongst themselves. Every-time she came to the sanctuary, it was like catching up with friends and she loved it more than anything. Shinx swished it's tail back and forth, yellow eyes watching her. She had adopted Shinx who had been used for illegal breeding, and he was one of the first to arrive here. Purring in response to Melina's inquiry answered all her questions about the newest bobcat that had arrived, which had been rescued from a fur farm last week. "I know that he's shy, but he'll warm up soon," Melina promised Shinx, then grinning and waving at one of the beautiful white tigers who had come up to join her. Crystal loved coming up to Melina for a belly rub, which Melina was more than happy to oblige in giving.

"Hello, you," Melina laughed at Crystal as the white tiger flopped down onto her back, clearly wanting attention. She had quite a few tigers, and whilst they all loved Melina because she could understand exactly what they wanted, Crystal was the most affectionate. She would happily curl up at Melina's side as if she was cat and not the white tiger that had been abused and bred for her unique colour. Giving Crystal a belly rub, Melina asked her about her day. "So, did you have fun in the pond today?" she asked, Crystal content with her eyes closed. Melina could telepathically talk to the animals, but she found it was easier to say her questions out loud so that the other animals could join in the conversation. It was almost rude to have quiet conversations. "I spotted you and Raikou splashing around." Raikou was another tiger, which Melina had let Taras name. Raikou also totally had a crush on Crystal, which he would deny constantly.

Crystal flicked her tail and somewhat huffed in response and Melina nodded in understanding. "It is a little cold, I agree. Hopefully it is a little more sunny tomorrow. I was thinking we could go explore the forest together." Every time she came to the sanctuary, she never wanted to leave. Her animals didn't want her to leave either, which made it even more difficult. Crystal eventually rolled back upright and nuzzled her big head against Melina as a thank you, Melina smiling and stroking her face. "You're very welcome," she told her. "And yes, I'll tell Raikou to get his act together. You know he never listens. He's stubborn." All the other tigers thought the same.

After a little while, Melina checked what the time was. "I'm going to go and get some lunch for me and I'll be back. Then we can play," she promised, giving Crystal's head a kiss before standing up and looking at Shinx who swished his tail back and forth. "Yes I'll let you play with us," she told him with a laugh before she headed back up to get her lunch so she could spend the rest of her day with the animals.

Sundance

A Pyroar who runs the Cat’s Meow Café with Zayn, Esme, Glaire, and Perseus. She mainly handles the cooking. Due to the Sunny Continent’s climate, her hot foods sell very well in the autumn and winter. She often gets asked about her history concerning Panja and how it affects her and Esme’s relationship, but she tries to ignore it. Instead, she prefers to listen to her son’s tall tales about his “adventures” with Leo.

Zayn

A Zangoose who helps with mixing the ingredients in recipes and blending together berries to make drinks. He uses his claws to slice up the food, and then uses the blender to mix the rest. He is also good at slicing things like cakes and pies into equal pieces for the patrons. He enjoys listening to stories that others tell, and is always ecstatic to see a new face.

Esme

An Espeon and Sundance’s girlfriend. Her full name is Esmeralda, but she goes by Esme to make it easier on others. She is one of the food runners, taking orders for patrons and bringing the completed orders to them. Her excellent memory allows her to bring orders back without needing to write anything down. She is also very observant, and will immediately point out when a meal is not up to code.

Glaire

A Glaceon who handles the cold foods such as desserts and drinks. She is usually busier in the hot summers of the Sunny Continent. Unlike the rest of the staff, she pretty much lives in the café, to the point where she sleeps in the freezer after-hours. She hates dealing with customers, and really only got into the business for the money. She is rarely seen at all outside, and thus there are many mysteries and rumors surrounding her.

Perseus

A Persian who looks very different from Naira and Riel. He is one of the food runners, taking orders and bringing them to the patrons. He isn’t one to keep money for himself, and is more than willing to give his tips to others out of the goodness of his heart. Many ask him why he is that way, but he prefers not to answer that query.

Noyus

A Litleo and Sundance’s son. He likes trying to help her cook, although he tends to undercook it, as his fire isn’t as strong as his mother’s. According to his parents, since “Panja” was the name of a king in an old fairy tale, it only makes sense that he would be named after the prince in that tale. He isn’t very bothered by his parents’ divorce at all. He’s a very cheerful child, to the point where he’s perfectly fine with his mother’s divorce, as she wasn’t happy with Panja, realized she liked girls more, and he was too young to remember his father anyway. He calls Sundance “Mom” and Esme “Mother” as a way to distinguish between the two. He is best friends with Leo, and dreams of forming a service team with him one day.

Leo

A Shinx and Noyus’ best friend. He likes to tell others all about his ambitions as a member of a service team, and dreams of one day making the trek to Ferrum City with Noyus. He is the more level-headed of the two, carefully planning out his strategies, while Noyus would rather charge right in. He already knows that he wants his service team to be called “the Lightbringers.”

The Team

Leia’s team of Pokémon starts with her selection of three starters and soon after developed into a fully fictional diverse ensemble of sixteen members. Once her party reaches eleven members Leia starts sending them to stay at Professor Rowan’s Laboratory in Sandgem Town and regularly visits to switch Pokémon around.

I decided for Pokemon Ultra Moon I am going to do my own version of a Nuzlocke - where I am only going to play through with my six chosen Pokemon Pals and since I can’t draw for shit I’m going to try...writing a little story along with it? Pokemon Bank is still, atm, unavailable so I’m going to use this time to try to breed for a Shiny Totodile with Sheer Force (my first shiny hatched betrayed me with Torrent). I don’t have names yet but for reference (for me mostly) -

Charmander, Male. Solar Power [Boosts Sp. Atk in sunny weather, but lowers HP]. Adamant. Alert to Sounds. 31/31/31/X/31/31. This Charmander is on guard for danger at all times - he looks out for the group and keeps everyone from doing...stupid things. Maybe a little grumpy at times but he will protect his family. //His Ability makes me cry a little but I promised myself only 4-5 hatches to try to keep it a little more fair. Totodile is the exception for shiny hunting.

Shinx, Female. Rivalry [Deals more damage to Pokemon of the same gender]. Jolly. Takes plenty of siestas. 31/31/31/31/X/31. This good natured cub likes to keep everyone happy and is generally not much of a fighter. Though for some reason she does seem to get a little fired up when there are other girls fighting (and she also gets fired up to fight for her female team mates if they start struggling in a battle). She’s the teams’ light, and the source of laughter and camaraderie.

Riolu, Male. Inner Focus [Protects the Pokemon from flinching]. Timid. Alert to Sounds. 31/31/31/31/X/31. This little Riolu is a shy boy, he takes quite awhile to warm up to new friends and seems to sort of shake when left to his own devices (likes to stick to Charmander). He is easily startled with loud noises and uses his aura to keep his surroundings in check, make sure no one is hiding.

Other two Pokemon will be Rockruff (via distrubution) and my Starter Pokemon, Litten. Ie, per suggestion from @donotfeedthewolf, 2 lizards (Char/Toto), 2 kitties (Litten, Shinx) and two puppies (Riolu, Rockruff).

Still thinking of names but while I do I’ll be breeding some Totodile again~

Still thinking of what to call the Nuzlocke too since I know most of them have weird rules (like death? I’ll work on some stuff for that too to try to make it a challenge specially since my kids are...pretty tough I think). Anyway once I name it you guys that are following me will know what to blacklist and stuff.
