A Sugar Crash One shot
“ oh….oh Nickie”
Cyrus sighed as he heard his boyfriends whimpers. Nick was having a nightmare. It had been going on for quite some time. Ever since the demon incident nick had had much worse nightmares than before.
He could hear nick talking in his sleep, whimpering and begging very quietly.
Nick shook almost violently in a curled up position, like he was trying to escape something. Tears in his eyes. It broke his heart. Nick had been through a lot already…this wasn’t fair to his lover. His sweet sugar taffy. It hurt Cyrus to know his love was in pain. It hurt to see him so scared, so helpless.
So, he walked over very quietly and sits next to Nick. He very gently pulls nicks head to his chest and pets his head while singing and humming. He eventually feels nicks breathing get lighter and his whimpering lessen with the more time Cyrus comforts him. Cyrus wasn’t going anywhere. He smiles when he hears a tired voice.
“ C-cy….Cyrus…”
Nicks eyes were open but half asleep.
“ shhh. I’m here my sweet sugar taffy. You’re safe….I’ve got you. You can go back to sleep. I promise you your safe”
Nick whimpers “ you… you stay”
Cyrus kisses his nose “ I won’t leave your side”
Nick smiles softly and closes his eyes resting his head on Cyrus’s shoulder. Nick started to drift back asleep. Cyrus holds him in a warm embrace. Petting his hair gently and starting to close his eyes with a smile on his face.
