Had an intense attack of "OH GOD I WANT THINGS, IT ISN'T FAIR" yesterday. Spent all afternoon and deep into thr night just fuckin window shopping on the zon, aliexpress and strangecattoys. Filled the zon cart up with like over $1000 in resin supplies, molds and custom off-brand nendoroid parts. Somehow whittled that down to $27.

Got as far as transferring some cash from my PayPal to my checking, and that's when maximum misery saturation hit and I just fuckin closed all my tabs and decided to go to bed.

Like, if I'm gonna splurge on something I can't afford, it's gonna be that 74cm $150 "mechanical bjd"* body. But I really need to see some resin heads on that one cuz I'm starting to think it's too beefy for the character I wanted it for.

(*yes im blanking on the term, I just woke up. Don't remind me what it is.)

Anyway, what a miserable experience.

As I was trying to figure out how I was going to add my own touch to the Bonehead vinyl toy designed by @beastwreck for the group exhibition at @strangecattoys , I noticed one of the legs had cracked in two. At first I thought I might be able to pin and glue it, but the little bones comprising his legs were a bit too small to bore into. . I realized this “obstacle” was really an artistic opportunity, and set about crafting this figure some Nerfect replacements. Some wooden beads threaded onto armature wire not only gave this piece stronger footing than any mend I could pull off, but gave me a direction to go in. .
