FHJY SPOILERS Episode 9 Vulture Clash:

We’re laughing and having a good time with fantasy high (jk were all stressed but we love it anyways) but I can’t stop thinking of the image of Kristen finding her teacher murdered in the forest, her attacker having made a point to banish her soul after the fact so she can’t be revived, in effect never allowing her to truly rest. The image of how upon inspecting closer, these kids find the body of their former peer, believed missing for months, left callously to rot next to the first. The image of Kristen reaching out to her Goddess of Doubt for something. Anything. To save, to spare her soul, to relieve the ground they lie on of whatever was made to taint it, and she gets nothing. Kristen haunted by the reminder, the reminder Yolonda gave her, that Kristen has to perform the miracles Cassandra cannot. Kristen unable to do anything else but start weeping.

Riz’s investigation revealing that multiple assailants killed Lucy. That the blunt force that killed Yolonda was so hard that the carbon in her blood pressurized into diamonds. Fabian says they need to get an adult. Can they please just get an adult.

rewatching the first episode of Hannibal and holy shit I forgot how good this is but it's actually insane that Brian fuller set up the ep like this, he introduces will and Hannibal by first briefly showing them at their core, at the darkest, most vile part of them---we get a glimpse behind the curtain---and then its gone, the curtain is snapped shut and we see their masks, their human suits.

Will empathizes with killers because he likes it, and he wants to kill but he refuses to give into the urge because he knows how much he'll like it and he won't be able to stop. So he lives vicariously through other killers, satisfying his own dark urge by feeding it little morsels of secondhand blood lust. Every crime scene he works gives the urge something that satisfies it, not enough for it to grow, but enough for it be sate. Enough that he can ignore it for long enough that he can walk around and be Professor Will Graham who is Weird, Brash, and Non-sociable.

And Hannibal is a cannibal at night and a psychiatrist by morning.

I was wondering if you have any tips for your perspectives? i dont really know how to do them that well but it seems you have a great handle on them! Btw I love your art! its soft and happy, I really love your stuff :D

and for the tips! you've probably heard of vanishing points and horizon lines a bunch of times so i'll try to just give a quick run down of how i understand them + their uses

[2024 edit: just wanted to clarify that this third pic isn’t like a definite rule (none of these are tbf)- the horizon line can be placed at the top and still be close to the ground if you draw the grid right, same goes vice versa!]

tbh once you get the idea of how they work it gets easier to figure out where the points should be. it might help to think that the subject is what determines where the points are instead of the other way round if that makes sense? i learned a lot just by looking at storyboards for fun bc they're everywhere in them jhfkdg

also these grids aren't restricted to being only for the walls or the floor of a room- you can rotate it, put them anywhere you think you might need clarification on where the space around them is etc. just use as many as you need for whatever you need

having multiple grids (like ^ where its above and below the character) especially close together narrows the focus to what's in the middle of them as well!

another way to do this is to think of the subjects being in a box and looking at them from an angle-

and if you want you can break them down to simpler 3D or 2D shapes to see which parts have to get smaller

if you were looking for more perspectives on poses i talk about it a little at the end here

i hope this was clear enough! it's a bit hard to explain but once i learned not to be too hung up on accuracy (ofc to an appropriate degree) and freehanded the grids it makes it a lot more fun to play around with :)

also take everything i say with a grain of salt bc i too am still learning 👍

as much as i draw KAYCEE im embarrassingly far behind on the challenges but every time i play i discover some new wonderful things

people have definitely noticed already but i love how Leshy world-builds around Kaycee's challenges, like him awkwardly acknowledging the expensive pelts or all-totem battles before he's like "ah yes. my minions are hard at work i see."

it is so fucking cute. he values story above everything so of course he's gonna do that. they are literally adding to the game together in their own way

and even more, assuming all of the new cards in kmod were added in by Kaycee.. Leshy does his own little descriptions of them just like his own cards 😭
