Dinner was served at the 61st annual Southern California Journalism Awards Gala. These 3 food are presented in reverse to the way the food was served because the dessert is so colorful. The salad rested at the table awaiting us. It was a combination of leafy greens with candied walnuts, grilled pears topped with a balsamic reduction and goat cheese. We were served a delicious stuffed chicken breast with a whole carrot, Yellow scalloped squash and steamed green beans Then followed the fruit and custard bowl. It was really good and someone didn’t want their dessert and I had two. My waist suffered for it I’m sure. The food was great but it was no match for the award winners and their gift of journalistic integrity.
