#did you know that if you roll two dice and take the highest number (like advantage in dnd) then the average value will be 2/3 the dice value #if you roll three dice and take the highest the average is 3/4 #and for 4 it’s 4/5 #and so on to infinity #which of course implies if you roll one die and you take the average it’s 1/2 #which is sorta true (depends on the indexing) #anyway if this is fun to you i found out about this from standupmaths on yt #if you like this though you’ve probably heard of him

Also If I'm recommending random things I'm obsessed with, if you're a gamer of any kind you need to play 'Outer wilds' If your look for an unique storytelling experience and really good puzzles it's the best. if you’re a messy bitch who lives for drama but feel bad when the fandom drama you’re watching inevitably ends in someone getting hurt or abused in real life I highly recommend getting into speedrunning drama

like I have yet to go down a speedrunning drama rabbit hole that ends in something worse than “he cheated at video games”. a couple people got sued but even then I don’t think the people suing them actually won

#I’m not saying irl gross shit has never happened #I mean it’s men playing video games competitively I’m sure they’ve done something #but like. guys. there’s an hour and a half long video of someone analysing a rotating HUD frame by frame #Matt Parker of standupmaths got into the dream speedrunning discourse it was incredible
