Prologue Part One is finally done! Although I have to say, I am not completely satisfied with the game right now, but they are honestly minor edits that will be fixed in the future.

In this part, you can begin to customize yourself, get introduced to the members of ST4RDOM, and meet two of the ROs. Not much drama actually happens; more interesting content will be in the second part.

If there are any bugs, typos, or things that can be fixed in the demo, please let me know! I would appreciate it a lot.

I've read INFAMOUS and I'm following ST4RDOM with interest, but other than that, I have not seen any band IFs. Share them with me, spread the LOOOOVE! As someone that reads IFs religiously...I mean.look at my fucking blog. I can say for real there are a few gaps in the market.

1. I see celebrity ifs becoming more of a thing. Within the arts. Like st4rdom, infamous, the muse, limerence and beyond empty eyes.

And we have a plethora of supernatural IFs. We don't need anymore... unless the writing is exceptional js.

Slice of lifes are becoming popular now too. I've seen a few. Haven't played any I can really remember that have no supernatural connotation besides apt 502

What I found recently that I loved

Witch IFs there's few that are actually active and I found one recently that I'm obsessed with.

Horror IFs are becoming more popular. Those are a nice change.

I'd love more IFs God related with actual big names in supernatural. @aquarii-if does this so well. They really have a IF that's Hella different. And there's another whose name I can't remember for the life of myself that literally has MC being someone big life you can be a God from different cultures you can even be lucifer if you want. That was bomb af.

What I think I never see is actual rich kid IFs. Like royal slice of life IFs but that take place in modern times.

More sport Ifs!! We have an up and coming soccer one I haven't heard of in forever. Then there's college tennis. Which is the most popular and then the taekwando one. But there's just 2 that's released that's popular.

I'd love to see more sport ones that have drama. Like martial arts, gymnastics which can also be very unhealthy same with ballet.

I like your taste, especially the modern rich kid IFs like the only one I know and played is Insert Rich Family Name Here. I feel like murder, mystery, and rich ppl match so well, like imagine an IF that is inspired by the series The Fall Of The House Of Usher, psychological horror, murder and mystery 🤌🤌

Like more IFs that are inspired by movies, books, and shows! The day someone writes an IF similar to Killing Eve, I will die.

It kind of makes sense that the game is genderlocked. Korea is very patriarchal and girl groups face more scrutiny in the media compared to boy groups due to sexism. I think you would have to write to different stories to make gender of choice work

this anon got me all figured out lol. But it’s not only because girl groups experience more sexism (which is something that will be touched upon), but simply because I wanted to focus on other aspects that would be harder to do if you could choose MC’s gender. If I didn’t, I would have allowed it and made a whole game where the group members depended on MC’s gender, if they are nonbinary that they have to hide it, etc.

The game would be incredibly massive—it already is even when MC is locked as female. I feel like I would only create a shallow game with only mentions of these heavy topics if I did not set MC as female.

Anyways. Sorry about the long response, it gets a bit frustrating after a while when people complain about the game being genderlocked female MC when I HAVE a reason for doing so.

Happy Black Day (블렉데이) from ST4RDOM!

This is an unofficial holiday celebrated mainly in Korea by singles who did not receive gifts or valentines. Typically they will eat jajangmyeon (짜장면), or black bean noodles, with other singles.

This holiday is kind of funny since I can imagine the entire cast of ST4RDOM eating these noodles in solidarity. It'd be chaotic, with a lot of drinking and eating and laughing as they share a meal together.

Obviously that likely won't happen canonically, but it never hurts to dream about it.

And for all those singles out there...you're not alone.

Ultimately you can't please everybody. Having a gender locked MC and some not liking that idea is proof of that. Personally, as an adult kpop fan, I really love the idea of you delving in to darker themes and I don't mind at all that MC is gender locked. It creates more depth. And every kpop fan knows there are differences between girl and boy groups. There's nothing wrong with exploring one over the other :) Just keep doing you! If there is someone who wants to play from the male perspective... maybe they should create that lol

I know I can’t (which is pretty bad for me imo as a people pleaser, like I said before :/) but thank you regardless! I wasn’t planning on making it not genderlocked anyway so that was not going to change. I believe there’s a saying called, “be change you want to see” so you know, if you’re unhappy with the female MC then you try to make a male and nb kpop if.

since the ships probably won't be mentioned in the game, how do the ROs feel about being shipped with a MC they have a crush on? 👀

Oh yeah, about that…fans likely would not ship certain people like Andy and (maybe) Gracie since they wouldn’t know about their relationship with MC until it becomes public and official.

Nari would try to play it off, sometimes even joking about it with MC in public. Might even make a few suggestive poses just for the fun of it. That’s what it is, right?

Chang-ho would not show any sign of being affected by it, but sometimes he’ll look up the ship of him with MC. To make sure that it’s safe and hasn’t done any harm to MC’s image, of course. Just in case—

Seungho encourages it. He doesn’t mind it at all, to be honest. Sometimes he will let it slip and talk about MC without even realizing it. But yeah, he’s pretty cool about it.

do the fans 'ship' some members of the groups? and if so, will we learn about it? from what i've seen ships are pretty common in fandoms and the idea of MC being shipped with other characters is really funny to me

Yeah, they definitely do! All of the members at ST4RDOM have been shipped with each other at some point, but honestly the most popular ones are Sofie + Vi (Eun-yun, Ha-jin, SoVi) and Nari + MC based on their strong friendships with each other...along with other factors.

However, recently the ship of Seungho and MC have been trending ever since those Regality interviews were released to the public.

Probably won't be mentioned in the game, but maybe in a gag article? You'll have to see, I guess.

there is a difference between angst and slowburn! Just because one RO has more angst than another does not necessarily mean it will be slower.

When I first found out about ST4RDOM and their music a year ago, I became obsessed with their songs once I heard it. Ever since, I have been a hardcore lover of their music and I even went to their concert in Seoul (god knows how much I love them 🫶🫶🫶🫶).

Recently a good friend of mine and I have been discussing our biases. While I personally love Nari because of the chaos she causes among the group, she argued that it was Vi who often schemed with Nari. You can probably guess that she liked Vi the most.

And now, we need you, the starries, to settle this debate (please vote for Nari, there's no way she can lose??).

BETA TESTERS FOR ST4RDOM!

I think I am finally ready to open up testing for the game. So that means I have a form up!

As a member of the all-girl k-pop group ST4RDOM, fame comes naturally to you. From the moment your first album was released, everything went your way—money, fans, tours, merch, and most importantly, your rise to stardom. But fame comes with consequences—when does it not?—and it arrives in the form of your first world tour. After all, what is a tour without the looming threat of drama permanently disbanding the group? All of a sudden, your life is thrown into chaos for the next four months as tension rises between another popular k-pop group, heated fights break out, “coincidental” incidents occur, and complicated feelings arise. Will your career manage to stay afloat amidst the drama, or will it sink under the pressure? Well, there is only one way to find out; let’s see if you are still standing by the end of those eighteen weeks.

I will be taking in beta testers 17 years and older. There is currently no content warning specifically for this first part in the prologue, but this is subject to change in future rewrites.

I am looking for around five beta-testers. The form will be closing on February 16, 9:00 PM EST but the date can be extended if need be. I will communicate with the selected via Tumblr, and what I am hoping is that anyone who is not chosen will at least get early access the day before the game comes out.
