6x3 The Third Man is my favourite rendition of Cas Chaos. You’ve got “Dean and I do share a more profound bond”. You’ve got casual kidnapping and “the police will take him home”. You’ve got the absolutely unhinged ritual mid-conversation sequence (one of my favourite scenes ever tbh) and the oh-so-casual revelation of the “technically” civil war taking place in Heaven. The frog vs Cas mini staring contest (a very fine moment of Cas’s head-tilt-confused-face I may add) and the very nice teleport moment it includes (I like when the camera moves and he’s just There btw if you hadn’t guessed). AND this insane shot??? Hello??? Whooee

Oh and also the gut wrenching sadness of Cas being stuck in between his brothers fighting and having to kill them (the SADNESS in his face when he kills Raphael’s soldier oh god) and the reminder that yeah, he’s an angel, but he’s also like,,, a dude. Stuck in a family feud he doesn’t want.

Sam’s workout scene at the start deserves an honourable mention. Softcore if ever I saw it.
