The Ultimate Guide to Hiring a Private Driver
Imagine the convenience of having your own personal chauffeur, someone who knows your preferences and schedules, ready to whisk you away to your next destination in comfort and style. Hiring a private driver offers a level of luxury and ease that transforms everyday travel into a seamless experience. Let's explore the many benefits and considerations of hiring a private driver, and how this service can enhance your lifestyle.
What is a Private Driver?
A private driver, also known as a personal chauffeur, is a professional driver hired to transport an individual or family using either the client’s vehicle or a company-provided car. This service goes beyond typical ride-hailing apps by offering personalized, on-demand transportation that caters specifically to your needs and preferences.
Why Hire a Private Driver?
Unmatched Convenience
Having a private driver means you no longer have to worry about the hassles of driving, parking, or navigating through traffic. Your driver takes care of all the logistics, allowing you to focus on your tasks, enjoy a stress-free journey, or simply relax.
Personalized Service
Private drivers are dedicated to providing a tailored experience. They learn your routes, preferences, and schedules, ensuring that your travel is as efficient and enjoyable as possible. Whether it's daily commuting, running errands, or special occasions, your driver adapts to your needs.
Enhanced Productivity
For busy professionals, time is invaluable. A private driver enables you to make the most of your commute by allowing you to work, make calls, or prepare for meetings while on the move. This uninterrupted time can significantly boost your productivity.
Safety and Reliability
Private drivers are trained professionals with a commitment to safety. They are well-versed in defensive driving techniques and familiar with the best routes, ensuring that you reach your destination safely and on time. Their reliability means you can count on them for punctual and consistent service.
Luxury and Comfort
Traveling with a private driver often means riding in a well-maintained, comfortable vehicle. You can choose the type of car that best suits your style and needs, from luxury sedans to spacious SUVs, ensuring a pleasurable and stylish ride.
Key Considerations When Hiring a Private Driver
Experience and Qualifications
When selecting a private driver, it’s essential to consider their experience and qualifications. Look for drivers with a proven track record, professional driving licenses, and certifications. This ensures they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to provide top-tier service.
Background Checks
Safety is paramount when hiring a private driver. Reputable services conduct thorough background checks, including driving history, criminal records, and references. This vetting process helps ensure you hire a trustworthy and reliable driver.
Flexibility and Availability
Your private driver should be able to accommodate your schedule and be available when you need them. Discuss availability and any potential constraints beforehand to ensure they can meet your requirements, whether for regular commuting or occasional trips.
Vehicle Options
Decide whether you prefer to use your own vehicle or one provided by the driver or service. Using your own car may offer more familiarity and comfort, while a provided vehicle can be a hassle-free option with maintenance included.
Cost and Contracts
Understand the cost structure and any contractual obligations associated with hiring a private driver. Rates can vary based on factors such as hours of service, vehicle type, and location. Clarify these details to avoid any surprises and ensure the service fits within your budget.
The Private Driver Advantage
Perfect for Business and Leisure
A private driver is an excellent choice for both business and leisure travel. For business executives, it offers a professional and efficient way to manage travel needs. For families and individuals, it provides a convenient and luxurious mode of transportation for various activities.
Ideal for Special Occasions
Private drivers are also perfect for special events such as weddings, anniversaries, or corporate events. They add a touch of elegance and ensure that you and your guests travel in style and comfort.
Stress-Free Travel
One of the most significant benefits of having a private driver is the reduction of travel-related stress. No more worrying about directions, traffic, or parking; your driver handles it all, allowing you to enjoy a smooth and relaxed journey.
Experience the Luxury
Hiring a private driver is more than just a mode of transportation; it's a lifestyle upgrade. It brings convenience, safety, and luxury to your daily life, making every journey a pleasant experience. Whether for daily commutes or special occasions, a private driver ensures you travel in style and comfort.

Boyfriend things with Seventeen
Tumblr media Tumblr media
♡Seungcheol♡
Always encouraging you: He feels a swell of joy whenever he sees you go after your dreams and goals. He’s your number one supporter and will do anything to encourage you.
Protects you: Even if you insist you don’t need protection, he’s always there to ensure you're doing well and safe. No one’s going to bother you on his watch. He always takes you home or calls a cab for you, scares away creeps while out together, and if you’re not together he’s always texting to check up on you.
Gives you his card: He likes to take care of and spoil you. You could tell him over and over again that he doesn’t need to spend money on you, but he’ll always be the one to take the bill and bring you gifts now and again. You could comment about wanting to go shopping and he’s sliding his card towards you. It’s your birthday? Take his card and buy something nice. At work and hungry? He’s sending food for you.
♡Jeonghan♡
Takes pics of you: His camera roll is flooded with pics of you and him, candids of you, foods you’ve eaten together, etc. he thinks you’re so pretty all the time, he always wants to capture it. Pictures of outfits you wore that he liked, of you sleeping, when you’re lazing around the house just being your cute self, etc.
Reminisces: Tends to think about your relationship a lot, all the fun you’ve had, the special dates and vacations. Even if he keeps it to himself, it always makes him smile to think back on it.
Gets you water: You will be hydrated on his watch. Always offers you some when you come over, leaves a glass out for you if you are deep in work, and harasses you over text about making sure you’ve eaten and had water for the day.
♡Joshua♡
Picks the food you don’t like out: It doesn’t happen often, but he’ll do it. Did your food come with something you don’t like in it? He’ll carefully pick them out for you, even if you insist he doesn’t have to. Not a fan of the side that came with your dinner? He’s stealing bites of it. Of course, you’re welcome to pick off his plate as well.
Always greets you: always says hello to you, or comes for a quick hug, or asks how you are that day.
Forehead kisses: Whenever he finds you lying down he leaves a smooch on your forehead. You don’t even have to be sleeping. Or if you’re at the table working he’ll come up, brush your hair away, and kiss you. He doesn’t think about it anymore, it’s just a cute habit.
♡Jun♡
Comfy silence: The two of you have clicked well since early on, it never feels awkward when neither of you feels like speaking or have nothing to say. He likes having a calm, quiet evening with you. Just cuddled up and enjoying your presence.
Remembers things: He appreciates all the time you spend together, especially milestones like anniversaries, birthdays, special occasions, etc. A throw-away date you went on over a year ago, but he remembers because you were so happy. Even if he can't remember it all,  he tries to leave notes and reminders on his phone.
Keeps a pic of you on him: Whether it’s a cute Polaroid you two together in his wallet, or a silly picture of you as his lock screen he likes having a little picture of you with him. It makes him happy to glance down and see it now and again, and it makes him even happier if you do the same.
♡Hoshi♡
Shops with you: You don’t notice at first, but Hoshi doesn’t mind running around with you for errands or to shop. He likes to even. It’s a fun and casual way to spend time together, he likes being by your side, holding your hand, helping you decide what to get, etc.
Shares interests: He’s very passionate when it comes to his work and outside interests, and he likes to see you be that way about your interests. He likes to listen to you talk about them or for you to show him, and he’ll do the same. He’ll even give them a try as a way to spend time with you.
Chauffeurs you around: He loves to run around with you all day, so of course he doesn’t mind being the one to drive or take care of calling a car.
♡Wonwoo♡
Sends you pics: If he’s shopping without he’ll send pics of things he thinks you would like. When he’s traveling he’ll send you pictures of interesting things he comes across, the sky or stars, etc.
Looks after you: He silently takes care of you. It’s not overly affectionate or mushy, but he’s always there for you. He makes sure you eat, asks if you need anything from the store before he gets home, and if you seem down he always asks what’s wrong and listens well.
Charges your phone: You passed out before plugging your phone in? He’s gonna plug it in and cover you up with a blanket.
♡Jihoon♡
Lets you talk his ear off about your interests: He could quietly sit there and let you talk his ear off all day. He likes to hear you express things you like, projects you are passionate about, or a show you want to recite the plot of.
Writes lyrics for you: He definitely has a few pages of lyrics he’s written about you and your relationship. Even if it isn’t his goal to write a song for you, sometimes the lyrics and ideas just spill out of them. He shares them with you now and again, if you’re not feeling well or on special occasions to express his love and appreciation.
Keeps your secrets/lets you vent unfiltered: You could tell him anything and he’d never spill your secrets to others. The two of you can vent unfiltered to each other whenever needed.
♡Dokyeom♡
Hand holding: He wants to hold your hand all the time. Whenever you’re in public together he’s got a hold of your hand, or an arm around your shoulder/waist. Sometimes while driving he’ll hold your hand or thigh, just to be close with you.
Appreciation: He loves and appreciates you and everything you do for him so much, so he tries to reciprocate it as often as he can.
Calls you: He hates when he has to be apart from you for long periods due to work or schedules. He makes sure to call you whenever he has a moment, wants to hear about your day, and makes sure you’re doing well, and that you’re doing okay without him.
♡Mingyu♡
Talks you to sleep: When you have trouble sleeping he’s there to make sure you’re comfortable. He’ll talk to you until you get sleepy and doze off with him.
Flirts: He doesn’t care how long you’ve been together, he’s flirting with you any chance he gets. He’s never going to stop, it's fun for him to see you smile and laugh, roll your eyes at something cheesy he said, etc.
Cooks for you: He’ll learn to cook your favorite dishes and comfort food, and enjoy doing it. You don’t even have to ask him, it's just something little and thoughtful that he likes to do.
♡Minghao♡
Flowers: It's a simple way to show affection, and Minghao loves it. He knows your favorite flowers and likes to pick a bouquet for you now and again. Sometimes he’ll show up with just one flower for you, your favorite, or one to compliment your outfits. He likes how you light up and smile when he does so.
Brushes your hair: He’ll sit behind you and carefully comb through your hair. He’ll blow dry it for you if you ask, he doesn’t mind. He likes it when you play and pet through his, so he likes to do the same to you.
Buys you a little treat: When you’re out together he gets you a little treat: coffee, a pastry or snack, your favorite drink, etc.
♡Seungkwan♡
Loves your interests: If he notices there’s something you’re particularly interested in, he’s open to checking it out as well so the both of you can enjoy it together. Even if he’s not into it, he’ll let you talk on and on about it while listening.
Feeds you: It’s become a habit for you at this point. He’s always offering you a bite to try his food, or taking off your plate to feed you. He does it more at home, but even in public, he’ll feed you from time to time.
Plans dates: Always on the lookout for places he could take you. He makes note of cute cafes or restaurants that sound good to try, he’ll ask his members for recommendations as well.
♡Vernon♡
Eats with you: You never eat alone when he can help it. Even if you’re running late to get home and he’s already eaten without you, he still sits at the table with you while you eat to just talk and enjoy the company.
Compliments every time: He’s so sweet, he always has some kind of compliment for you when he sees you. Even late into your relationship, he never lets them stop.
Cares for you when you’re sick: Tell him what you want and he’ll get it. He’d prefer you choose the medicines and snacks though, definitely needs a list. Do you want him to cuddle and nap with you? Of course. Want him to run across town to pick up your favorite food? He’s on it. If you’re very sick he’ll go to the doctor and sit with you.
♡Dino♡
Debriefs your day with you: It’s become routine that you talk about each other’s day or week when you get together.
Movies: Even if you picked the last five times, he still doesn’t mind letting you pick the film or show for a quiet movie date. He tends to like what you like, and if he doesn’t like what you’ve picked he’ll just focus on cuddling and being with you.
Gifts: He doesn’t go overboard with them, but now and again he’ll show up with something you’ve been wanting, or a cute plush, or flowers. He takes notes of the things you like or seem interested in while shopping with you.

Gala Night
PolyVees x GN!Reader
Tumblr media
TW:Valentino. I do not condone his actions at all.
A/N: CHAUFFEUR READER IS MAKING A REAPPEARANCE!!!!
You quickly moved out of the way as a secretary rushed past you holding the phone to your ear as you tried to listen to what Valentino was saying, “Carino~ You wouldn’t mind going to see Velvette before you grab the limo? She has something waiting for you.” He purred through the phone as you tried to rush to the now closing elevator. “Son of a- those bastards.” You hissed out looking around, guess you’ll be running up twenty flights of stairs then wait 5 minutes for the next elevator, “Yes, go see Velvette and then go pick up the limo.” You repeated back to the Overlord who happily hummed before he had to abruptly hang up as he yelled at someone.
You opened the door towards the stairs and growled, Velvette was gonna be pissed at you for being so late but so be it. You started your ascent up the staircase, putting your phone back in your pocket and ignoring how it buzzed with texts from multiple people. Of course, Vox had called you in on the day of one of hell’s special occasions. The Overlords Gala. Where Overlords throughout the whole 7 rings of Hell get together at Lucifer’s palace. You had the day off originally but Valentino got a little mad and killed off the other chauffeur that drove them around that morning so everything was an hour behind, you were still in your pajamas and had barely grabbed your wallet and phone for the day.
It took a few more moments until you were on the twentieth floor, busting through the door and quickly running down the hall towards Velvette’s Fashion Department ignoring the looks of models and random demons in the hallways. As you walked in still out of breath and practically wheezing for breath you could hear Velvette yelling at some poor model before she moved them away. Janette whispering something to her before she whipped her head towards you, “Where the fuck have you been?” She asked storming over as you stood tall, “Running up twenty flights of stairs,” you replied before she rolled her eyes and pulled you towards the podium. Velvette’s eyes stuck to your outfit like glue before her glare darkened and her frown deepened. “What the fuck are you wearing?” She growled out as you looked down at the ‘Voxtech’ shirt and pajama pants you took from the gift basket (one of many) that Vox sent over to your apartment.
“..my pajamas.” You slowly replied before she scoffed and flicked her wrist as your pajamas disappeared and you were fitted in your normal outfit but the subtle difference was it had the V’s logo embroidered on the chest pocket as if they were planning to show you off and you weren’t just gonna drop them off and then go busy yourself with whatever you could find. Velvette walked over and fixed the jacket from looking lopsided, “Don’t run down those fucking stairs. You’ll tear something or fall and we don’t have time to fix another fucking mess.” She said before reaching up to brush your hair back, “Yes ma’am, no running down the stairs.” You repeated watching as a smile replaced the sneer on her lips. She patted your arms and waved you off to go do whatever else you needed to do.
It didn’t take you long to get down the flight of stairs and down to the parking lot where Vox kept the limo and other cars you were asked to drive. Quickly showing your ID to the scanner on the door, Vox was really careful about everything. Even one small misprint on your ID would send him an alert that someone was breaking in, you walked into the large garage and looked around seeing the limo sitting near the back of the garage. You walked towards it to make sure everything was okay.
It wasn’t until an hour later as you were making sure the inside of the Limo was cleaned and restocked for the three of them that Vox had called you to tell you that they were about to leave. You got situated and drove the limo to the front of the tower ignoring how demons gathered around to see the Vee’s before they left for the Gala. But bodyguards had blocked the crowds as you rushed to the other side and opened the doors for the three Overlords, who looked like they stole a piece of Heaven with their matching outfits. You were not drooling over your bosses, focus. This is a big night and you’d rather not have a bullet in your head before the night is over. Keep your mind from drifting.
The drive was silent and long, only a few times did Valentino bother you which was weird but you didn’t pay attention to it much. As you pulled to a stop at a redlight, you softly tapped on the steering wheel as your eyes drifted around. You were liable to fall asleep if the silence continued like this, it wouldn’t hurt to play some music while they weren’t paying attention to you, maybe it’d get them to relax a bit too..even if they didn’t hear it due to the partition window. You turned the radio on, turning it down so it wouldn’t be too loud for them to hear as you started to drive down the road once more.
It was another few minutes before you drove past the giant golden gates, you felt weird about being around such a place. Especially since this had to be the first Gala in years after The King’s absence, you felt..unworthy of being in such a place. As you pulled to a stop in front of the palace doors, you parked the car and moved to open the door for all three of them. Valentino was first to exit, then followed by Velvette and finally Vox exited the Limo, his arm slinging around your shoulders. “Are you ready for a fun night?” He asked pulling you closer to his form as cameras flashed all around you. You blinked once..twice before it hit you..Vox was talking to you. “W-What?” You asked looking up at his screen seeing his smile grow wide at the question as he closed the limo door with his foot, his arm moving comfortably around your waist.
If you were anyone else there would be a sure chance he would’ve killed you right there for questioning him. But you weren’t anyone else, you were the Vee’s chauffeur. You were under their protection and you weren’t bound by any soul contract, you had free reign to do whatever you wanted. “The party~ You’re our guest~” Valentino cut in gently grabbing your chin and making you look towards him, oh boy the rumors will be running on for days now. You just whispered a soft ‘oh’ before looking away at Velvette who winked at you.
There goes your plans to go to that diner downtown and eat dinner for cheap.
Taglist: @aboyscriminalrecord cause I know you thrive on the Vees.

A Night at the Museum
Blaise Zabini x F reader/pure fluff - 1.4k. This is a little special request fic for my sweet friend @thatdammchickennugget a very delayed birthday post. Where your boyfriend Blaise takes you for your birthday to your favourite place. Pretty divider found here.

⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆
The bustling city of London nightlife rushes past you as the car pulls to a halt, the darkness of the window conceals the reveal of your location. You look over at Blaise sitting beside you, his hand enveloping yours, giving it a gentle squeeze and a soft smile before he exits the car.
Blaise hadn’t let a word slip on what the plans for your birthday were, keeping it a complete surprise. Though you felt you already knew and you hated how you instantly felt disappointed. You had struggled to not show your dismay when all day there had been no mentions of leaving the castle. The only thing you'd asked for was a visit to see the dinosaur exhibit at the National History Museum.
When Blaise had left out a gorgeous violet dress instructing you to be ready by seven, you only felt your heart plummet more at the thought of finishing your birthday with just a dinner. You were grateful nethertheless, but it stung thinking that Blaise had forgotten your wishes.
Exiting the car, you thank the chauffeur as they hold the door for you, Blaise instantly appearing by your side, looping your arm with his. As your eyes gaze lovingly upwards, you drink in how bloody delicious Blaise looks in his suit. Never one to shy away from an opportunity of embellishment for any occasion, making sure he matched his tie with the colour of your dress. When his oh-so pretty brown eyes meet yours, you feel stupid for thinking so badly of his decisions, realising you can’t really complain with such pleasant company.
As you walk with him, you turn your attention away from Blaise and take in the sight before you, a whirlwind of emotions hitting you. Your face contorts into a mix of delight and surprise when you realize you're standing outside the Museum. You grin excitedly, hearing Blaise chuckle at your adorable reaction. Before your face falls in confusion, “What are we doing here now? Isn’t it closed?”
Blaise rolls his eyes playfully, scoffing, “Come on now, it’s me. I have connections.” He then gives you a delectable grin, leading you up the grand stairs towards the entrance. His heart warms seeing how your eyes beam with warmth, a bubble of energy exploding out of you. His brow raises, feigning fake hurt as he adds, “Didn’t think I’d forget, did you, sweetheart?”
A deep chuckle leaves his lips, seeing your guilty expression, his eyes zoning in on how you bite your lip sheepishly. Your shoulders pull, shrugging, as you squeeze his arm softly. A sweet smile convulsing from your previous expression, “Oops, maybe, but I’m so glad we’re here!” Blaise shakes his head, muttering at your lack of faith in him, teasing you softly, “How dare you doubt me.” His hands squeeze your waist, enticing a squeal of laughter bellowing out of you at the ticklish feeling.
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” your words fall between laughs. "Will a kiss make you forgive me?” His hands fall from your waist at your offer, manoeuvring to take hold, caressing your face. He’s not one to ever turn down a kiss from you, and within seconds, his lips are on yours. Passion flushes through you at the quick but heated kiss, your lips not seeming to want to leave his.
His eyes gleamed, relislishing in your eager reaction, “I’d love to keep kissing you till you melt like honey in my arms, but I have waiting plans for us. Come on.”
Blaise loops his arms through yours, guiding you around, allowing the two of you to stop whenever something catches your eye. You’d been to the museum a few times but never had the chance to see the dinosaur exhibit yet. Your excitement levels reach new heights when Blaise leads you into the next room, revealing what you’ve been waiting for.
Your eyes widen and you freeze in your tracks, taking in the magnificent sight of the large Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton displayed in front of you. You move, leaving Blaise’s side, craning your neck upwards to inspect the 40 feet long bone structure.
Marveling over the incredible skeleton, you stare up brightly with fascination, unable to hold back any ounces of happiness. You’d had a deep love for dinosaurs since you were a child, always dreaming of being able to discover life sized T-Rex bones. A wish that was forced to change to just seeing them up close in a museum after you found out about Hogwarts and witchcraft.
Blaise follows slowly behind you, his hands slipping into his pockets, his eyes never leaving you, watching loving every moment of your reaction. The way your face lit up, unable to contain your giddiness as you gazed up at the dinosaur. Sparks heat within his chest, his love for you growing with every minute. “Wow! It's even bigger than I thought. It’s huge!” wonderment is laced within your words for the extraordinary extinct being.
Blaise chuckles, his hands finding their natural spot on your waist as he stands behind you, “Pretty cool, huh.” He holds back any innuendos, not wanting to ruin the moment for you. He presses a soft kiss to your temple, whispering, “Happy Birthday, beautiful.” Your attention quickly recentered back towards your thoughtful boyfriend.
Turning around in his arms, you grin happily, springing up on your tiptoes to pull him in for a sweet kiss, expressing your gratitude. “Thank you! Thank you! You’re truly the best!”
He laughs at your cute appreciation, leaning down again to press a kiss to your forehead. “Come on, there's still more to see.”
⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ ˚。⋆ Sitting at the table dressed for two, you grin appreciatively admiring the bouquet of sunflowers Blaise had gifted you. Your gaze once again drifts from the beautiful candlelit dinner back up to the gigantic dinosaur hovering above the two of you. “I still can’t get over how you pulled this off!” It really was such a special gift, and you loved how well Blaise knew you.
Blaise squeezes your hand gently, enjoying the warmth that spreads from your touch, his eyes twinkling at you still fanning over his present. His eyes soften, gazing at you with adoration, smiling lovingly. “Have I told you how gorgeous you look tonight?”
Warm hints of chocolate fill your vision, your face flushing with heat as you grin back at him. “You have, but I'll never turn down a compliment from someone as handsome as you.” Blaise, being the gentleman he is, hadn’t even let you finish doing your hair before he was throwing compliment after compliment at you.
As you finish your meal, you sit relaxed once again, unable to stop switching your gaze between marveling at the skeleton and your charming boyfriend. It was the perfect evening, and one of your best birthdays yet. The quietness of the museum never felt eerie, the space easily filled with wholesome conversation shared between the two of you.
Blaise stands suddenly, checking the surroundings for any of the attending staff. Once he’s sure it's clear, he reaches his hand out for you. “Come on, I have one last surprise.” Startled by the sudden change of pace, your brows furrow as you accept his hand, being pulled gently behind him.
Following behind Blaise, your curiosity peaks as he leads the two of you to a more secluded section of the museum. Cheeky thoughts spur through your mind, heat rushing up at what you could be doing. The dark room quickly is illuminated and you see Blaise raise his wand, enticing a gasp from you. “Put that away!” your eyes frantically search around for any muggles as you attempt to lower his wand.
He chuckles, swatting your hands softly. “Trust me, woman.” With a flick of his wand, a small burst of light appears and you turn slowly at the sound of cracking bones. Having been too busy caught up in Blaise’s illegal actions, you hadn’t noticed where you now stood.
Your eyes widening at the scene of a tiny baby fossilised Brontosaurus moving. The small thing stretches its long neck, the bones rattling, and it releases a loud coo. Your hands fly over your mouth in excitement as you squeeze Blaise’s arm.
“What the heck this is so cool!” Giggling all worry about muggles thrown out the window as you grin, caught up in the amazement and the power of magic.
Blaise leans over, kissing your head, his arm pulling you into his hard body for a quick embrace. He whispers, “You got two minutes before the spell wears off. I’ll distract the muggles.” He turns to leave, giving you a small wink, before he shuts the door, leaving you alone with your special gift.

Hello, I don't know if applications are open but I saw your post about the event and wanted to know if you can write to Fyodor at the point: "i brought you flowers." "for what?" "there has to be a reason?" Plis 😣😖
Fyodor + "I bought you flowers."
milestone drabble event! 🪻
Tumblr media
It has been a few weeks ever since you've started dating Fyodor, and you still haven't gotten used to the way he spoils you.
The shoes on your feet, delicate heels that somehow manage to be comfortable while also being stunning, are gifts of his; so is the dress that's clinging to your body, the fabric pure silk.
A personal driver of his makes sure you get to every date with him safely and comfortably, the car luxurious, the chauffeur respectful and polite. To be honest, the treatment has you feeling like nothing short of royalty, causing you to giggle to yourself ever so often, giddy.
While you still don't know what exactly it is he does for work, the question usually evaded with suave words and a silver tongue until he has redirected the conversation to a different topic entirely, he certainly seems to have enough money to spend it freely, albeit certainly not carelessly.
Now, as you're sat next to him inside one of the usual cars, sleek black, your eyes fall onto a bouquet so large it brushes against your arm even while still held by him, yet somehow managing not to be obnoxious, colours white and a pale lilac. Still, you're perplexed by the sight of it.
“Fyodor—, what's this?”
His smile is gentle, albeit he now raises an eyebrow in mild amusement. “Those are flowers, dear. Your favourite ones, as far as I'm aware.”
“No, I know that. They are my favourites; I'm just asking why you're gifting me flowers.” As far as you're aware, this is little more than the usual date between the two of you; there's no special occasion, or so you hope — if there was, that would mean you'd have forgotten about it.
“Does there have to be a reason?” Fyodor tilts his head to the side, black bangs moving like shadows. “I merely thought you'd like them. Don't you?”
Tumblr media
“I do”, you hurry to say, gaze falling down onto the bouquet again. It's objectively stunning, but the idea of Fyodor going out of his way to make you gifts without even needing an occasion to do so is what truly makes your heart soar. “I really do. Thank you.”
“Of course, dear.”
It takes a few moments until you notice that, despite your conversation just now, he looks oddly expectant, purple eyes occasionally flickering over to you. More seconds pass before you realise just what he might be waiting for.
With a smile gracing your features — something about him being this patient yet eager is frankly adorable —, you lean forward, lips soon pressing against his cheek. The action leaves a faint glittering stain on pale skin, your lip gloss showing. “Thank you, Fyodor. I love them.”
If you had to describe his expression, a smug and content cat that has just been fed comes to mind.
“I'm glad.”

Season of Love (2/?)
+18 | Toto x reader fem!teamprincipal, romance, comedy, and some good drama.
Summary: One night on a pier in Monaco, while admiring the sea under the night skies, you tell Toto: "I came to the conclusion that love is simply not meant for me." That's the answer to a question you have been asking yourself for the longest time. But what if he proved you wrong? Author's note: This is a multichapter Toto Wolff x team principal reader fic set along a season of F1. It's a very immersive story full of drivers, team dynamics, races, mystery, and smut. You just bought the Williams team, but nobody really knows who you truly are.

Dances with Wolff Arc Chapter 2: Lights out, and away your feelings go!
Australia By mere luck, Toto had one of those sponsors' events in the afternoon, and he was wearing a Tom Ford tan suit with a white shirt, a classic ensemble, instead of his usual Mercedes kit.
And you, well, you looked so chic wearing a romantic Saint Laurent satin mini dress with an off-the-shoulder neckline paired with ribbon bowtie Jimmy Choo stilettos up to the occasion.
You wave Sam goodbye as she enters the car and returns to the hotel. And then Toto and you stay standing there, not knowing what to do next.
—So, at what time is the reservation? —Toto asks you.
—In two hours, it is downtown.
—Good. We are getting there on time, right?
—Oh yeah, we can go on my c... —You look at the empty space where your Lambo was parked - well, where Michael parked it, now empty and immediately take out your phone, shit! You left it on airplane mode. All messages and missed calls start to appear, red dots everywhere. Your assistant asked if you needed the car or if they had moved it to the hotel hours ago. Later, she sent the chauffeur to pick you up, but he couldn't reach you. He waited for you a long time and left.
—My team took my car, so...
—No worries. I can take us there.
"For sure you can!" you thought. Jesus, why were you so horny lately?
Toto then texts his chauffeur, and on your way, you two go; it was a quiet ride for a bit.
—So...
—So...
You both laugh at the back of the car.
—So our minds are connected, huh? —you joke, referring to your tendency to talk at the same time.
—It's becoming a bad habit, yes —Smiles. —I was going to ask you where have you been existing. Everyone close to me seems to know you, but they never mentioned it before; I feel left out; somehow, I have no idea who you are —Toto tells you.
—First of all, I take serious offense that neither Niki nor Sam mentioned me before; how dare they? And to answer your question in Belgium. I met Niki recently and Sam forever ago but she is pretty private so I guess that's why.
—Umh, I thought Sam and I had something special, but I'm calling it quits —Toto says. —She keeps secrets from me —putting on a fake sad face.
—Welcome to da' club. She's all Lewis's now.
-
Then, at the restaurant.
Toto and you were greeted by a blond supermodel-looking hostess who took you to your booked table. You entered the historical building - big old brown bricked walls, high ceilings with restored wooden beams, and dark marble tile floors - barely lit with just a couple of lights strategically placed reflected on the walls. The tables were small and intimate, and all the furniture was statement pieces - wooden carved and expensive textiles - the silverware and china were spectacular. The place was a printery back in the day, and it ended up in the middle of downtown and has now turned into a Michelin-starred restaurant.
The hostess acted extra caring with Toto, taking all the time to tenderly adjust his blindfold and explain every single step and detail of the dining experience. Since he couldn't see her, she went all handsy, relying on touch a bit much, and for obvious reasons, she tied your blindfold too tight. Really, girl?! Sorority like in where?
—So it's crucial for the experience when you give the food to each other, slowly savor the flavors and then start a conversation about each dish, what it made you feel, what reminded you of, what you thought it was, taking turns —she tells you two as she takes each your hand and makes you feel the space where a single plate full of finger food where to be placed - on top of a marble "lazy susan." —Please let me know if you need me —a lot of emphasis on "need me" and more addressed to Toto than you.
Wait, what?! Give each other the food?! What on earth?! You are so glad Toto isn't able to see you because, for sure, you are tomato red. Then you hear the hostess walk away.
—I frequent high-cuisine restaurants all over the world, yet I haven't dared with this one. It has so many mixed reviews —Toto tells you.
—I met the Chef at an auction gala for charity. He sat at our table and sold us the idea, which sounded exciting and intrigued me, so I told him I would stop by when in Melbourn —you add. He never mentioned that we had to feed each other during the experience.
A moment later, the dish arrived, and the experience began. Your hands were shaking a little bit. Your days went from ignoring Toto's bare existence to placing food into his mouth now.
—By all means, you go first —He offers you. Why did he have to be a gentleman?!
—Sure, thanks —You don't know where to start, so you pick a bite and stay there frozen when Toto notices it softly grabs your hand to guide you to his mouth to avoid you pocking him an eye with the food. Many "Oh god, oh god" fill your mind. You could sense him slowly biting the food from your fingers, his warm breaths on your skin, while hearing soft crunch noises.
He munches. And you wait, hand now resting on the table.
—Soft skin —he says.
—That is what it tasted you like?!
—No, of course not —Toto softly chuckles. —You have soft skin. The bite tasted like, amh, some sort of Gnocchi, but it wasn't. I'm not a big fan of this one and its flavor.
—So you like Italian cuisine?
—Everyone likes Italian cuisine, duh.
—Excuse you? That attitude, Sir! —you flirt, I mean, joke with him.
—Yes! I used to spend the summers in Italy with my family. It is a country that reminds me of my father. Cinque Terre has a special place in my heart.
—You miss your dad —You say before thinking, shit! Now he will assume that Sam and you gossip about him or think you Googled him. Shit! You are supposed to not know anything about him. Lol, if he knew. —It must be hard being away from family all the time with this busy schedule —Smart girl... Good save..?
He looks at you, a bit confused. —Ahm, yes. I miss my dad.
—Okay, it's my turn! —you shift topics quickly and naturally.
Toto picks up a small bite, and you wrap your hand around his wrist, guiding him to your mouth. Your thumb finger could feel his pulse, which weirdly relaxes you. You bite the food slowly, and your lips make a bit of contact, brushing the skin of his fingers.
—What does it taste you like? —he asks you. You try your best not to have dirty thoughts.
—Feet? God, this is awful —you answer while trying to chew the fucker.
Toto almost chokes on his water. Who calls feet a signature Michelin-star dish?
—I'm so hating this! I can't with pretentious places, to be honest. Uptight people are the worst!
—You tell me I live surrounded by those, but you will be fine. Why did you mention the uptight people?
—Send tips. Because there is no way an average person could have come up with this idea and this type of food! What are these flavors, honestly?!
—You are hilarious.
—Aw, thanks. What am I to you, a clown? Well, every circus needs one... I'm glad to help! Why do you keep laughing, stop!
—You are so right; F1 can be a circus! —Toto admits.
—So, what's your job at the F1 circus? No, seriously, don't laugh. TOTO STOP. Do you juggle or what? —You two keep reaching closer over and under the small table, knees now touching.
—Highly accurate! Or I could be that one guy on the tightrope! —He waves his arms.
—So meta. Listen, for us girls being the ones stereotypically called "catfight-ty," you guys...
—You have no idea! And it is just starting...
—Does the drama get too good? You are getting me excited! Don't play with my heart, Torger.
—I won't —Somehow, it sounds more profound and meaningful. Silence.
—Can we go back to the food, please? We are getting distracted from its delicious flavors —you say amidst giggles. —What? Don't you believe me? This dish is so good, "Latifi good".
Chuckles. Then you notice Toto left his right hand on top of yours this whole time.
With your free one, you pick up another portion. —Oh, you are going to love this one. Smells, uhm, so good. Wait for my soft hands to come closer —you tease Toto.
He loses it. People around you start judging you two; you are being "noisy."
—Why suddenly I don't want to open my mouth? I'm not helping you get there anymore. Find your way; if you miss it, then I'm so sorry.
—Oh, don't you worry, "Tots". I can always ask for more of these.
—Oh god, no.
The dining experience ended on the sixth small bite, thank Jesus. You two never walked out of a restaurant that fast, and none of you felt like staying to experience the drinks part, judging by the food.
But were in desperate need of refreshers. The night was now fully set, and the air was fresh. You two walk almost hand in hand on the sidewalk under the clear skies, choosing to explore the city, looking in the surroundings for a pub. You were lured by a very busy one - with live music - three drunk girls burst out of the door in a great mood, and it looked packed; then it must be good!
It was. —Do I ask to pour you a pint, too? Or are you on a diet or something? —Toto offers you on his way to get drinks. A great cover of "Your Love by The Outfield" played in the background. The singer had great vocals, and the guitarist was so talented.
—On a diet? God, no. I'm not that fit! Who gives that excuse? Who's that picky?
—There are people —Toto answers, a bit sad. You wonder if Sussie behaved like that. Of course, you don't dig.
While he goes on his mission, you find the last free table for yourselves. The place was what you pictured when someone said "pub". A classic, extensive wooden bar, tap beer, and tons of bottles on display. Small round tables, bar stools, and many empty frames hanging on the wooden panel walls mixed with art deco posters. It's nothing fancy but eclectic and cool.
As time passed, you two got drunk and the beers, too. You talked and talked and talked about everything. At least what you two wanted to share, obvious subjects were avoided. Toto didn't mention Sussie the whole time, and you chose not to reveal much about your "situation." The two of you formed a bond and had such chemistry none could explain. You were feeling so comfy with each other. He looked so happy and having a blast, and you were, too.
Then, the drinking contest started, and you sent your best knight to battle. You ended up sitting cross-legged on top of the bar with your short dress going up with your every move, surrounded by a group of people watching the spectacle - as well as the other couples of contestants - with Toto on his feet right next to you, resting one of his hands on your thighs. At the same time, you poured the beers directly into his mouth. The first one to finish a row of four pints with no pauses and successfully do "the loaded twirl" - four fast spins - then walk to ring the bell at the end of the counter - without falling - could leave not paying a penny, and win a cool metal medal too.
Toto sounded the bell first. And the place went fucking nuts.
By the end of your night out, you two couldn't even walk straight as you were being playful on the sidewalk on your way to meet your driver. At some point, you lost a heel while dancing, you knew how to move and rhythm was natural to you. Toto carried you around until a good soul gifted you his flip-flops; the poor unknown hero was so into you. Fantastic pubs and guys on flip-flops, thank you, Australia.
While rocking the stranger's flip-flops with your Saint Laurent mini dress, you were singing and throwing some moves on the street at the sound of "Notorious by Duran Duran" - it was the last song you heard the band played before leaving and got stuck in your head - it was around 4 a.m. by then.
Toto had his medal wrapped around his head, looking all stupid and hot. There is no sight of his suit jacket. He must have lost it when you took him to the bathroom - of course, you waited for him outside. He was too drunk to get there alone - or when you two started dancing, burning some of the alcohol in your systems.
There is something about him that makes you feel so many things, and you don't want the night to end. And you wanted to spend more time with him, listening to his voice, hearing his laugh, looking at his eyes, having his body near yours. You find him so attractive.
—I don't remember the last time I had this much fun; it must have been ages ago! —he says, way too loud and drunk.
—Me too! We should do this again! Are you sure it's here? —you reply, looking around. No cars in sight.
—Yes! I'm not that drunk. Here is where the pin marks —he says, looking too closely into his phone. His nose almost touched the screen, looking at the map.
—Let me see.
—Nein —He raises his phone, extending his arm, placing it out of your reach. You jump to grab it, failing miserably. You ended up bumping him instead. Balance isn't a thing for any of you at the moment. And you both get closer. At some point in the night, you two started to behave like magnets, unable to keep away from each other, all handsy. Toto places a hand on your lower back to steady you.
You aren't sure if the sensation you are feeling is the alcohol in your system or the butterflies in your stomach.
—You are so carefree. Zero pretentious. So fun. So captivating, so... —Toto says in such a dangerous voice, staring at your lips with his fingers, placing your hair behind your ear.
You two get closer.
—So..? —You beg him to continue, staring at his lips too. You take the lead and start closing the distance between you.
It's been a while since either of you had sex in your lives.
Or love.
He looks at you with desire and affection but without moving an inch. Then Toto decides to take a step back.
That distance feels like miles, and the car arrives. Ending an almost perfect night.
You feel ashamed since you overstepped and carried yourself away. None of you mentioned what just happened on the ride back to the hotel.
-
Spending time with you starts to feel like a necessity to him now.
Toto is standing there, left shoulder leaning against the bar wall near where the band is playing, sipping his beer, watching you dance with some strangers, glowing and smiling, and having fun among those girls while he admires your curves and body movements. You have the magic to make him forget about the rest of the world, its people, and its problems. Going out with you tonight felt like healing, like self-care.
After days of being heartbroken, Toto called things off with Sussie, which was not an easy choice. She was the love of his life, or so he thought, and after spending a significant portion of your life with someone, saying goodbye to that person is never easy.
Even if tonight was great and felt like a lucid dream, he couldn't escape reality forever. This Cinderella story had an end.
Of course, he notices the way you look at him. The attention you pay to his every word, your excitement every time you make him smile, or how you lean closer to his touch whenever the two of you make accidental - or not - contact.
But he wasn't ready for you. Of course, he would love to make a move and enjoy the whole of you, explore your every corner, trace your hips with his hands, and feel your body beneath his, making you release sounds he would love to hear. He wanted to fuck you badly, but you weren't just for a one-night stand.
You deserved someone who could fully admire you. That worshiped you. And Toto wasn't able to be that guy at the moment. He felt wounded and needed time for himself.
So, when you had the courage he lacked to make the move, knowing that if he accepted that kiss, you would wake up tangled in his sheets, he stepped back.
Seeing your surprised, embarrassed, and hurt reaction spiraled him into coming days of somber mood and turned into a quiet ride back to the hotel.
-
Once you reach your destination, the driver opens the car door for you, and you step out of it, praying your balance has returned. After that fiasco ending of the night, all the alcohol in your system seems to have evaporated thanks to that emotional gut punch Toto gave. You glimpse Toto catching your step, walking now as normal as you.
You two may be walking seemly normal now but your looks scream drunks, loud and clear! - messy hair and clothes, not to mention your flip flops, a thing that made you smile as you remembered the now distant memory - as you passed by a floor-to-ceiling mirror on the way to the elevators.
The bellboy pushes the buttons to open the elevator doors for you.
—On which floor is your room? —he asks.
—Oh, no, we aren't...
—Eleven —you answer a little deadpan, interrupting Toto.
—Fourteen —he mumbles.
As you two go up, you start saying goodbye, also wanting to cut the tension a bit. —It was a fun night, "Tots"! My liver may disagree, but we'll see —you smile.
—Yeah, yeah, it was, except for that horrid food —he replies.
—Let's not, let's bury that part.
He nods with a small smile. The door opens on your floor. You smile at him one last time and head out.
Toto wants to say, "Wait!" or follow you down that corridor, inviting himself to your room and bed, but instead, he remains just standing there, and the elevator goes up.
-
You take your time to walk down the corridor, hoping there is still a chance, till you hear the sound of the elevator's doors closing and following it, total silence, no footsteps, no movement. So you let out a sigh and get inside your room.
You are left facing a feeling of emptiness and solitude as you walk across the empty and dark suite with your surviving heel in hand, and then you toss it across the room on the carpet. You enter the shower and start washing your make-up and body off, letting your mind wander to the idea that the two of you could be there right now.
So, a bit defeated by not having Toto's naked and wet body before you, you send yourself to bed, struggling to fall asleep and shut down your brain; after a while, you feel yourself drifting away in the arms of Morfeo - and sadly not Toto's.
-
—He thinks I'm captivating and have soft hands —you say while giggling like a teenager, adding sugar to your Chai at the end of the counter. Already in a better mood, trying to look at the bright side of things.
—Soft hands??? —Sam replies, making a silly face and grabbing a napkin.
You two meet on your way to get Starbucks, located two buildings away from the hotel. You are still hungover and need fuel before stepping into the paddock.
—You know, never mind. I don't want to know —Sam adds, biting her bagel.
—Oh, wait. No. Nothing like that happened —you wave your hands in concern.
—Calm down; you know he and Sussie are in the middle of a time-off. Nothing wrong if it had happened. He has been in such awful moods lately that I think he needs it to happen. This time, their breakup seems real.
—Really!?
—Can you at least don't sound that excited? Oh god, you are smiling. I hate love —Sam sips her black coffee, rolling her eyes at you.
—Leave me live my fantasy, alright? —praying sign, you joke.
—Now you will be all weird around him, won't you?
—Nooo, well, maybe a little. What? Like you don't ship us.
—Puff —Sam lets out.
—Oh, you fed me way too many details about him for years and set us up last night just because, huh?
—Okay. Fair. I sold you the idea. Am I clever, or what? Listen, I care about you two a lot, and frankly, I think you are great for each other.
—Ooh, so Sam Dobrev has a heart.
—Shut up! Please don't make me regret it —she replies, all done with life.
-
—Hi, big guy —Sam pops her head inside Toto's office, simultaneously knocking on the open door.
—You owe me one —Toto answers deadpan. Concentrated, looking straight at his iPad, not bothering to look at her.
—Why?
—That restaurant you made me go to was horrible.
—Well, I didn't pick the place, so no whines to me, but at least the company was fantastic, right?
—Umhju —Toto mutters, still looking at the screen. Then silence.
Sam interprets that answer as I'm not telling you anything else.
—Since you are here trying to gossip. Aren't you busy? If you have free time, you could help me with several things.
—Jeez, that mood. I'm not here to gossip. Here, sign this. Niki needs it.
Toto reads the paper Sam just gave him and picks up his phone. —I need to make a call. Would you mind closing the door on your way out? Thank you.
—Okay —Sam answers slowly and exaggerates the "O" while doing what was asked. Even she knows messing with a somber Toto wasn't a good idea.
Unfortunately for you, no gossip or insights of your night out were obtained from Toto.
-
It was a Grand Prix victory for Lewis. And a third place for Mick, but since it was his first podium, you guys celebrated as if he had just won the race. Sadly, Millie got pulled out of the track for a technical issue with the car.
You were hoping to chitchat with Toto at the podium ceremony, make him laugh a little, and watch his beautiful smile. Well, you hoped that the entire day, actually. But he was nowhere to be seen.
Until you spotted him in the distance, there was no casual way to start a conversation with him that way, and you didn't want to be perceived as pushy or desperate going straight to him. So you let the idea die. There was no rush.
If something was meant to be, it will happen without forcing things.
Right?
-
Azerbaijan
On the paddock in Baku, Toto chose to behave the opposite of that night in Melbourne. Serious, professional, and borderline unfriendly - but still polite.
That caught you off guard, and it was so confusing. After spending that great time together, you thought you two were on your path to becoming friends or more if luck was on your side. You didn't get the sudden change, and it was a bit hurtful when you went to say hi to him - all warm and smiling - and he gave the cold shoulder with a blunt "Good morning" and kept on walking.
You stood there looking a bit stupid, wondering if you did something to bother him or if he was acting Austrian. Maybe Toto was feeling really uncomfortable by how you approached him at the end of that night. Damn, drunk you!
But then, a couple of hours later:
"Unknown" is typing...
—Darci told me you left your office to have lunch. But I'm here outside your hospitality and don't see you - Toto.
Your assistant gave him your number. —Hi!!! Yes, I'm here having lunch.
—Where? I'm wearing my good glasses, and I'm sure you are not that bald guy eating a salad.
—Sandro is a very nice guy. Look up, grandpa!
—The rooftop? What are you, a pigeon?
No joke in reply, just an honest: —I like the view from here. It's peaceful! Bonus points for being private. No one bothers me here or intrudes. It's my secret special place. Do you want to join?
Toto finishes climbing the ladder and goes to greet you, kissing you on the cheek. As he does so, a crazy thought crosses your mind: What if you turn your head? Is stealing a kiss considered harassment? But you don't.
You two share your homemade Yakimeshi - you love cooking even if you have a private Chef, and you are damn good at it, well, according to everyone that has eaten your food, so you ask the hotel to get you the fresh ingredients you need - while talking about the day, sharing ideas, throwing shade, and enjoying each other's presence.
—What a diva! —you reply, grabbing a portion with your chopsticks.
—I know. I expected better, but engineers... you know —Toto shrugs.
—Ye! —you agree. Sometimes, they acted, well, a little bit challenging.
Toto was acting so relaxed and casual as you expected him to be, and not what was going on in the morning. You wonder so badly why there is a change in ways, but you don't dare to ask.
"What if he has bipolar disorder?" a question that came to your mind at some desperate point during your day. Not that there was something wrong with that.
The sun is setting, and you two enjoy the view, sitting next to each other - no space in between - He places his arm around you, palm resting next to your left hand, but without making physical contact.
This becomes a routine for you two, lunching together on the rooftop of the W hospitality, away from the rest of the world, in your private little bubble. It becomes your favorite moment of the day. And Toto's, too, even if he swore he would never like routine.

—Excuse me, excuse me, how did the tire taste you like? —you tease a very solemn Lewis walking past you on the paddock while you pretend to hold an invisible mic at his face, acting like a reporter. An instant smile forms on his lips.
—Roscoe attack! —Lewis commands.
Roscoe stares at him for a second and then wanders to sniff a palm tree, not caring.
—I think your trick didn't work —you get closer to greet him with a hug.
—He is too lazy for that —he tells you while embracing you.
—You are too cute; don't listen to that man! —you say with a silly voice, addressing Roscoe, letting Lewis go, and flexing to pet the dog, rubbing around his ears, which Roscoe seems to enjoy.
It was a Qualy of hell for Mercedes. Lewis's car's back tire flew out into the air before bouncing on a safety barrier at speed, almost hitting him back. Plus, George's car ended up in the gravel after losing power.
In contrast, Williams did great. Mick was one with the car, achieving the day's fastest lap.
—Feeling better, sweetie? —you ask Lewis with honest concern, after seeing the incident unfold and how he made it out of the car really distraught.
Although you must admit that even though that whole thing wasn't funny, the memes were pure gold, so you texted Toto your pick: the one where the tire hit the space station with a photoshopped explosion, the one with Lewis's face photoshopped on a baseball player hitting a home run, but instead of the ball it was the tire and your favorite, the one with photoshopped Toto, Lewis, and George riding the tire to the sky.
—Yeah. I'm good. A positive mindset always helps, thanks.
—I think I just saw you kicking, crying, and screaming in the bathroom, Mr. Positive Mind Set —Sam joins the conversation, teasing him.
—HA HA
—So, what's the plan for tonight-A? —she asks.
—Noone human says tonight like that. Not even Michael Jackson on drugs —you tell Sam.
—We are in Miami, chica! Aren't we clubbing?! —she replies.
—Are you high?
—I will if we go out...
—You realize we are here for work, right? —Lewis asks her.
—Like we haven't done it before. What's the worst that could happen? Toto finding out? You losing the race? Toto, finding out you lost the race because you went out clubbing with us?
—Yes! —you all answer at the same time. —To all of that —you add.
—Well, not if Toto comes with us...
Lewis starts laughing like a madman. —Sam, are you suggesting convincing Toto to go clubbing with us the night before the race so he doesn't get mad if he finds out we went clubbing?
—I got lost, mate —George arrives, earing that last part, trying to figure out what the hell.
—Well, I'll not be convincing him. Y/N is.
—ME?!
—If you really love me, you will —Sam pushes you toward the Mercedes' motorhome.
Gaslighting a bit much?
-
How am I supposed to do this? I'm going to sound so unprofessional. Although, technically, you two went out pub-ing?? and got drunk the night before the race in Australia. Okay, that made-up word sounds terrible; let's never use it again, so there may be a slight chance to relive that.
At least you needed to practice your words before going in there since "Hi, Toto, wanna go clubbing?" wasn't an option but destiny was a bitch; you two crossed paths before you had the opportunity to rehearse. Toto was on his way back to his office; he left his badge access on his desk. He seemed surprised to see you there; you were far away from the Williams' grounds. So you are forced to improvise.
—Are you looking for Sam?
—No, not really, not this time.
—Oh. Niki?
—Nope.
—Lewis?
—You.
Toto was now standing right before you with his hands in his pockets, all tall and handsome. You liked him even more when he wore his reading glasses.
You start a bit shy; Toto has a powerful presence. —I heard Miami has excellent places, and because last time I made you join me for that awful dining experience, I thought maybe we could go out and have a good time but in a better establishment.
—Tonight?
He sounds slightly judgy. You go on: —I was talking with the guys, and they mentioned "Floyd." It sounds great...
—The guys?
—Sam and Lewis, and George...
—Ooh, they sent you? Sam!
Oh boy.
—The cocktails sound goo...
—I'm not taking my drivers drinking or to a nightclub before the race or allowing it. It's ridiculous —Toto interrupts you again.
You look at him, now slightly nervous and bummed out.
—None of us is going; it's not happening —Toto adds firmly.
Yeah... He was a pro at the top of his game. Of course, he cared about discipline, mindsets, and winning races and titles; what were you thinking?!
You nod apologetically. Your eyes look a bit sad, well, because... You don't need to explain why. Just start turning around to head back and tell them the news.
—Wait! We could go to "Basement", which has a bowling alley and a DJ. But no drinking! Not even a drop for anyone; we must return to the hotel at a reasonable hour. Do you like that? That makes you happy?
—Sounds perfect to me —your smile is big and bright. Did Toto change his mind to please me?
-
To make things even, you end up bringing Millie and Mick. You wanted to make clear you weren't playing unfair tactics with your opponents. You earnestly desired to spend a good time with the people you began to care about.
The place was all for yourselves. It was a club slash bowling alley with colorful neon lights reflecting on the lanes, varying intensities and colors to the DJ's beats. It was a dope place.
Lewis invites Seb. They two took bowling seriously and had a years-long competition. They show you a list of their scores on Lewis's iPhone going back to the dark ages.
Bono also shows up, and Carlos and Lando, too, God knows how.
Lando starts stretching right in front of you, warming up, and making eye contact with you while doing his poses in a bit too sexual and exaggerated way. Samanta and you start laughing at him for acting all idiot. You two sit on the bowling benches while drinking Coke and eating popcorn.
—Every group needs a slut —you tell Lando.
—I don't think you are impressing her, man —Carlos joins, watching the spectacle, on his feet.
—It reminds me of when little children warm up before jumping into the pool —you kill Lando with your words.
—You have never seen legs like this —he tells you, overconfident. All of you laugh. —But, I will fight for your heart, malady. Is there another knight brave enough to face me in a bowling fight to the death?
—But what's the prize?! —Seb screams across all lanes.
—A NIGHT with the princess —Lando claims.
—Keep dreaming, sweetie —you reply.
—A KISS from the princess —he backtracks.
—Fine! Everyone, write your names here! —Sam takes a Post-it and a pen out of her purse - an assistant's habit - and passes them around.
—WHAT?! What are you doing?
Sam starts folding the papers and mixing them up. —The council calls Sir Hamilton to the pit!! Please choose your horse and weapon for the fight (lane and bowling ball) —Sam reads Lewis's name from the paper she picks up, and then she selects another one. —Warrior Dobrev to the fight! —cheers are heard, and Mick and Carlos pat Millie on the arm and back; Vettel massages her shoulders when she stands by her approach area. —Knight Wolff to the pit! And last but not least, Warrior Bonnington, too! —there were only five lanes. —You all brave souls are to fight buffoon Norris for a kiss of the Lady. Lord Vettel and I will oversee the combat.
—Hey! —Lando complains, pouting. Then, George starts motivating him, and they start making stupid grunts and jumps before the bowling round begins.
—The battle commences now! —Sam calls.
—You really need to stop watching House of the Dragon —you tell her.
—It's official: Bono is the worst player I have seen —Vettel interrupts, watching Bono be the first to get disqualified. —Is it okay if I leave you a second? If I don't go and bother Lewis every time to time, I get anxious —Sebastian sweetly tells you.
—Go, honey —You pat his hand and let him go. You two were watching the competition unfold together.
Lando, Lewis, and Toto were really good at it, but Millie was in a league of her own.
—How can someone so tiny have such a steady grip? —Lewis tells her she was in the lane next to his.
—Lew, I gladly would share with you all my secrets if I wasn't determined to win this —Millie replies.
—So you really want to kiss her? —he is curious, and a little smile forms on his lips.
—Look at Y/N, I wouldn't mind, but I don't want to. I think all five of us here hate losing... or love winning. Well, except for Lando, I believe he truly wants to kiss her.
"Not just him," Lewis thinks, looking in Toto's direction. After years of being teammates, he could read him like a book. It isn't just Sussie who has him shifting moods. Since you appeared, Toto began to act all weird. When Lewis noticed the looks you both exchanged, everything made sense to him.
And another fantastic strike from Lando.
Millie was almost right. Lewis loves winning and hates losing, but not when friends or feelings are in the middle. A lesson Sebastian taught him. So Lewis prepares and throws the worst shot he has ever made. His bowling ball bounces, hits the gutters, and invades the next lane, instantly disqualifying him.
Hisses and laughs fill the room. Lewis turns around, shrugs, smiles, and goes to take a seat. A minute later, he feels a thumb rubs his neck, caressing it. —Sir Hamilton, my good Sir, you sure are an honorable and respectable fellow —Sebastian tells him with his best Shakespearean voice.
—Stop talking like that, please.
—It doesn't please you how this low-grade peasant talks, good Sir?
The face Lewis gives him is priceless. Vettel laughs, and Lewis slides closer to him on the bench.
A loud "AAARGGH" comes from Lando as he dramatically throws himself to the floor. Wooff, what an awful shot.
—Luck next time, Lando! —Sam teases him as Carlos and George pass by, carrying him to the benches, one grabbing him by the legs and the other by the arms. Out of the competition, he was.
Now, it was a Dobrev vs. Wolff clash.
—Make our house name proud, niece! —Sam yells at her.
—You are having too much fun, aren't you? —you tell her.
—Sorry —Sam covers her face with her hands, monkey emoji-like. —Your knight made it to the final. Good for you, girl, but Millie is ruthless, so...
—I know! I can't watch any more. I'm too nervous! I feel like I will puke if Toto wins or if he loses.
—...she misses.
—WHAT?!
Okay, okay, this wasn't happening. Oh God. Sam turns to you and gives you a smile The Grinch will envy.
—Knight Wolff wins the battle! And takes the princess! —Sam announces. You shoot her a dead glare. —...'s kiss
Cheers are heard. Then everyone gets on their feet and starts chatting and bowling. Laughs and mocktails fill the room.
You pass Lando, still lying on the bench, on your way to get a drink. Now you need tequila in your system. —Oh, I'm so wounded! Only a kiss on the lips would heal me —he tries, offering his arms to you. The kid has the material to be an actor.
—Carlos!! Lando needs you!! —you joke back in answer, smiling at him. Lando gets on his feet in less than a second. —All good, I feel better! —he tells you, chuckling.
Toto is there when you reach the bar, sipping a whiskey on the rocks. —Not a drop of alcohol, you said? —you mock him.
—And you are here to ask for a Coke, right? —he teases you.
—A Paloma, please —you ask the bartender. —You could be a professional bowling player —Please let that become a meme, you think, and an image of a Toto in a complete bowling outfit surrounded by a group of senior citizens with white hair comes to mind.
—You picture it; that's why you are smiling.
—Nooo...
He arches an eyebrow.
—Fine. I admit it! —you sit on the bar stool next to him and rest an elbow on the bar counter, smiling like an idiot and gazing at Toto until he notices it and gets on his feet.
—I haven't seen you play, let's go! —he tells you.
—Oh, if this really were the old ages and it was me who had to fight for your hand, consider yourself single for the rest of your life...
-
You all arrive together at the hotel and walk inside the lobby, making a lot of noise.
—Shuusshh!! Zack doesn't know I'm not in my room! —Lando whispers, looking around.
—Sure, he is hiding behind that plant, Lando. That old fart is so fucking asleep in his bed, mate! Calm down! —Vettel adds.
—Hey! You haven't kissed Toto yet —Lewis recalls and addresses you.
—Right! Give him his prize! —Mick adds.
You feel your cheeks turning red. —Are you all going to stare and make it all weird?
—YES! —everyone answers.
—You guys suck! —you complain, pretending to be annoyed at them.
—Not as much as I would like to. WHO SAID THAT?! —Millie dirty jokes, looking around.
—Millie Alexandria Dobrev! —Sam shouts, shocked. —I can't believe you...
Between giggles and two Croatians fighting in the background, you kiss Toto for the first time.
With your left hand, wrap Toto's bicep and rest your right on his chest as you reach his lips on your tiptoes. The kiss is brief, delicate, more like a brush of lips, but it is enough to make the butterflies in your stomach go wild and to still be on cloud nine when you reach your room.
-
Monaco
You were so excited to be officially living in Monaco. It was your first week there, and you had never lived on your own before. And since Sam also resided there, you spent lots of time together. You two were enjoying the break and touring the city around.
Miami went terrific, and that kiss still made rounds on your head.
Sam and you were walking in the area close to your new place when you turned the corner and were greeted by this scene: A furious Monegasque girl screaming at the top of her lungs in French words that did not sound nice at all and throwing objects out the window while a man on the street was trying to picking them up and reason with said girl. Some people were staring, and others were rushing to pass by.
—Is that Charles?! —Samanta asks you, stunned, pointing to the guy crouched and picking up what looked like a pair of Jordan's.
Yeah, that was Charles Leclerc. You two look at each other concerned and rush to help.
—Hi —Sam shouts among the screams in French.
—Oh, hey, Sam —Charles looks pretty embarrassed.
You quickly offer him the almost empty tote bag you were carrying and speed walk to grab an open, worn-out cardboard box from the greengrocery next door. The three of you start getting his things inside while avoiding getting hit by the last objects thrown out.
—Thank you —he says to you. —My girlfriend went mental.
All of you hear a loud bang and look up; she shuts the windows dramatically. "More like ex-girlfriend now" you think.
—Merde —you hear Charles say. —My keys and wallet are inside there, fuck!
You can't avoid feeling bad for the guy. He looks so done with life right now.
—Ahm, Charles, if you want to join us, we are grabbing lunch. We can grab some cocktails, too; I'll treat you guys. You seem in desperate need of alcohol and a chat.
—You're right, I need alcohol, thank you. I would love to.
The three of you walk your way to a restaurant Charles loves. It was pricey, but you agreed to let him pick the place since you were spoiling him and trying to lift his spirits.
—Huff, why are all the streets in Monaco inclined? —you complain after climbing the fourth hundred stairs of the day. —On the bright side, tho, I just need to live here to skip leg day at the gym.
Charles laughs. That's good!
The face the hostess makes when you three arrive and place the second-hand cardboard box with Charles's things on the fancy counter - clothes, some books, sneakers, a Funko Pop of Charles himself for some reason, and what looks like Xbox controllers, a man's most prized possession - makes it worth it almost losing your legs to get there.
—Good evening. Table for three? Right this way. Terrace, as usual, Mr. Leclerc? —she asks.
—Yes, please.
You are led to your table. It was a sea-inspired high-cuisine restaurant. The ceiling of the place had a breathtaking art installation: A whale made from bamboo wind chimes. —The waiter is on his way; here is the food and mixology carte —she offers you. It takes you a long time to read the entire selection.
—Ask for whatever you guys want; the check is on me. Don't hold back —you offer them.
—Great, then! It would be two spritzes instead of one, please! —Sam gestures with her fingers at the waiter, who is already taking your order. Sam seems so happy and excited; for someone who grew up that rich, she loves getting stuff for free.
—I would like a Tequila and Tonic with two tequila shots, please —you finally choose.
—A margarita and two shots of tequila for me. To start —Charles orders.
The drinks arrive quickly. At the same time, you hear everything about Charles' toxic relationship, giving him the space to spit it all out; as more alcohol makes it to the table, the more details you get.
After a good couple of hours of free therapy, high cuisine, drinks, relationship advice, and tragic love stories, it got dark.
—Well, it was a damn good chat! I'm glad we were able to help you, my friend. But we better go —Sam says to Charles. —I'm walking you back to your place —she addresses you. —I have to wake up early tomorrow. Toto wants me to join the Mercedes' Zoom call at 7 a.m., and I don't want to see his annoying, angry face at me.
The thought of an angry Toto makes you bite hard the tiny chocolate cake you are eating as dessert.
—Oh, no worries! It's just all the way down the street; I will get there without problems —you say while savoring the remains of your cake.
—Are you sure? —She inquires. You forgot how protective of you Samanta was, even if she was younger than you.
—Yeah, go, go. It's never a good idea to make an Austrian guy angry —You joke.
Charles choked on his drink, laughing. —Sweet Lord.
Sam giggles, hugs you two goodbye and waits for her Uber.
—It's late, I'll walk you. There are plenty of good hotels near your building and the marina; since I'm not going home, I need to book a room —Charles mentions.
—If you don't mind, you can crash at my place; there's not much furniture yet, but you are welcome to stay —you tell Charles. He seems relieved.
Charles sees what you meant with "not much" - just a small table with no chairs, one kitchen counter stool, a mattress in the bedroom, another on the living room floor, and some boxes, making the place look way bigger - as you two enter your apartment.
—I just got the keys —you excuse yourself.
—Oh wow, this view reminds me of my grandparents' apartment view from growing up —He reaches the balcony fast. —Oh, look, you can see the old side of Monaco from here! Good memories! —He ignores your comment, not caring much about the furniture or decor.
He seems in a better mood than before.
—Well, let me know if you need anything. Sleep well! —you say, on your way to your bedroom.
—Thank you, good night!
You hear noises outside your bedroom's open doors a few minutes later. Charles moves his mattress nearer the plug on the wall and connects the charger you lent him to his phone. With that change in the arrangement, you are both placed facing each other in different rooms and with distance in between.
Since none of you seemed able to fall asleep that night, you better keep chatting, each of you resting your back against the wall, relaxing, and him crossing his arms behind his head.
—So you are besties with Sam?
—Yes, she was one of the first people I met when I arrived in Belgium —you answer and look out of your bedroom's massive floor-to-ceiling window to the beautiful sea and the tiny-looking lights of Monaco. He stays silent, waiting for you to continue.
—So, how was growing up here? —You ask him and were sincerely curious but also want to switch the subject of conversation from you to him.
He tells many anecdotes of his childhood and buzz about some of the high society Monegasque families. He seems to enjoy gossip, and you are here for it.
Until you feel your eyes shutting down and fall asleep with the sound of his voice.
-
Two weeks later, Charles was still staying at your place; there was no furniture yet, however. By the third week, you arrive home, and all of Charles' things are filling the space. He moved "his bed" to one of the guest bedrooms and packed the living room with boxes. His piano starts serving you two at your dining "table." You always ate there, sitting, standing, taking turns: breakfast, Charles, lunch, you, etc.
He is just one box away from officially becoming your roommate. Of course, you don't mind. After many years of feeling alone, you desperately needed a friend and its company.
Charles' wireless speaker is the most significant addition to the apartment; it was never turned off, both of you being obsessive music maniacs, constantly introducing new music and artists to each other.
It is your turn to pick a song, and you want to lift the spirits while unpacking boxes and arranging things, so you turn the volume all up and hit play. Bad Bunny's "Yo perreo sola" started blasting.
You start singing and dancing to the beat, shaking it, and then Charles joins you in the chorus, singing the lyrics perfectly and throwing some great dance moves. You two start twerking.
—You know this song? Wait, you speak Spanish?! —you ask loudly, almost screaming. The music is so loud.
—My mom is Colombian. Didn't I mention that? My dad is the Monegasque one. I know my reggaeton and merengues by heart —he screams back. —I know all the good clubs in the city with this type of music, we should go and dance our asses off.
—Oh, for sure we are!
Another level of friendship is unlocked.
-
The three of you are inseparable. It is the weekend, and Charles took you and Sam on his boat sailing to an excellent spot to take a swim. Coronas, good music, sun, and fresh water fill your day.
You came up with a competition to see who jumped out of the boat the funniest way because you three were dumb. Charles wins by jumping and agitating his arms and legs like an old cartoon falling or very Gaga at the Super Bowl. Your stomach hurts from laughing, and your face from smiling.
After that, you all lay flat on your stomachs like iguanas under the sun, getting tan atop the boat; you don't remember a day nearby when you felt so happy. You felt at home with those two by your side.
-
It was around 4 a.m. and pitch black when Charles was suddenly awakened by sorrowful sounds coming from your bedroom.
He rushes and quickly opens the door, not caring to knock. He finds you crying, curled in your bed; you look like a total mess with red eyes, messy hair, and softly shaking, and Charles reacts like a headless chicken, pacing frantically around the room before getting to his senses and starting supporting a very troubled you.
—I got an idea that could help you feel better! —he tells you.
—Yeah?
—You trust me?
You nod.
—Let's go! —he offers you his hand and leads you out.
You take the lift to the basement parking lot, where Charles' Ferrari is all poorly and crocked parked outside lines of your apartment's parking spaces - that man was a great driver but terrible at parking - next to it is his powerful Ducati Panigale black motorbike is waiting for you.
Soon, you two are on his bike, crossing the streets of Monaco at full speed. Getting further away from the city and into the road. You tightly wrap your arms around him as he tells you you are entering the highway, and he begins to speed, pushing the bike's engine.
You could feel the fresh nightly ocean breeze hitting your body and entering your pores, every time more violently as you moved and Charles kept speeding up. You could see the full moon reflecting on the ocean waters. It was a clear night, with no stars in sight.
You love the rush and adrenaline of this speed ride. Charles speeds even more, and you hear the violent roar of the motor, the bike reaching its maximum. Then, in that brief moment, you get why all drivers are passionate about F1. Now you get it. Your sad tears become happy ones. You have never experienced something like this before, and it makes you feel so alive. The air feels so cold and harsh at the speed you are going that you almost feel it cutting your skin. It is a sensational feeling.
Charles then starts to slow down till he parks the bike and turns the engine off, helping you get on your feet, and you two lay on the grass after arriving at the destination.
—What a view! —you let out. The two of you are far away from the city, and you can see Monaco at the distance from the cliff you are on top of.
—This is my secret spot. I have been coming here since I was young when I felt I needed to clear my mind or wanted to escape everything. This view humbles you and calms you down at the same time —Charles confesses.
—Thanks for sharing it with me —you say to him, extremely grateful.
—It's the least I can do.
You can hear the waves hitting the cliff rock below you, and you admire the infinite ocean in front of you. The two of you sat there for a long time.
—Whenever you feel ready to talk about it. To open up about your past, who you are, or why you cried tonight, I will be here to listen —Charles offers you, breaking the comfortable silence. He is a kind and sweet person, a good person. And you aren't used to that.
He places his hand on top of yours just briefly, and you feel so happy to have a friend, to have him, no love feelings, no desire in between, just genuine friendship and honest support.
He deserves the truth, and you want to let him know, but you are afraid of the repercussions. You don't want to get judged or, worse, to lose him.
-
Charles has been paying attention to you these past weeks and has noticed how you avoid or change subjects whenever your past or private life gets mentioned.
Every day that passes, he gets to know you more. It is just a matter of time before the truth comes out.

────────────
You do a little spin, considering yourself in the mirror. You honestly can't remember the last time you wore the red-blue jersey. It's been a while since you attended one of their games - not that you watched that many anyways. But today's the club's second to last league game, two more an they win LaLiga. And since Sofía, your best friend, is dating the older brother of Barcas youngest star player, she insisted on you wearing the infamous #8 jersey as well. "It's a special occasion, we're all wearing it.", she said, leaving no room for argument.
You were currently at her apartment, getting ready on the floor of her bedroom. Sitting in front of the big body-mirror you watch as Sofía plugs in the hair-curler; all while listening to DESPECHÁ by Rosalía in the background.
Sofía and you met at "Dulces", a small café in the big metropolitan city. In desperate need for a part-time job to somehow finance both university and rent, you stumbled across the shop you now almost dare to call your second home. Sofía's parents own the café. It's humble compared to the rest of the city, located in the very heart of it, but it outshines each and everyone of them.
The outside was decorated in pastels and different flowers. The big window gives a nice view into the inside of the shop. Its interior was just as cute, a few small tables taking up most of the space. And just like the outside, the inside gleamed in pastels and flowers.
Sofía helped you get adjusted quickly, making work a lot more comfortable and the adjustment to your new home a lot less overwhelming.
At one point in your friendship she introduced her boyfriend Fernando to you. Which honestly came to a big surprise to you, because all she ever said was that she was just "talking to some guy" and that it was "nothing serious". Turns out he's the love of her life and she hid the entire relationship for a whole week from you.
"We didn't know it was that serious either. We decided to keep it a secret to be completely sure about us. No one knew, not even his brother, trust me.", she tried explaining to you in panic, when she saw your upset and hurt expression. Yada yada yada. It didn't make any sense to you until you found out that he is actually the brother of FC Barcelona's notorious midfielder Pedri. Though it was not the footballer himself, anything concerning the Gonzalez family they preferred to keep private. And you respected that.
You wouldn't be able to be mad at her for longer than a few hours anyways, and never over something as trivial as this. You loved her too much for that.
The moment you knew though, your entire routine changed. Suddenly you were swapped into this whole new lifestyle of spontaneous trips and football matches; something uncommon to you prior. You've gone to maybe one football game before meeting Sofía.
Her phone suddenly vibrates on the vanity table and you watch as she picks up the phone with a smile on her face. You sigh. At least Fernando treats her right. For the short time you've known him, he has been nothing but a sweetheart to not only his girlfriend, but you as well.
He invited you over to dinner often and even acted as a chauffeur when you and Sofía got particularly drunk one night.
The same can't be said about his little brother though.
Considering how often you have been over at their place and attended his games, you've seen pretty little of him. Not that you complained, he's an attractive guy, no question. But whenever you two were around each other the air suddenly got weirdly thicker in a way. And it gradually got stronger and stronger the more you met.
You're not dumb, you got the hints. Your days as a naive teenager have been over for a long time now. His touches started lingering longer than what's deemed appropriate, his eyes went places they shouldn't.
And Pedri's not stupid either. He wouldn't directly approach you; not if he was 100% sure you wanted the same.
You would lie if you said it didn't affect you. Of course, it did. It was irritating at first, however irritation turned to anticipation really quick and each time you wondered how far he would go this time; If he would ever go further than the heated kiss you shared on the beach two weeks ago.
It was in a moment of weakness admittedly, it didn't mean anything. But what were you supposed to do, when he looked like sex-on-legs in those red swim shorts, when his large hands covered your back and shoulders with suncream, when he glistened so beautiful under the harsh sun and when he finally dragged and hid you behind your sunshade. You just had to taste him once. Just once.
But that's the furthest you would ever let "this" go - harmless teasing.
You heard what people said, what the articles reported. Hell, even his own brother dropped some hints sometimes. The love life of that of a footballer often went hand-in-hand with infidelity. Not always of course, but you shouldn't expect from a young superstar to commit to a monogamous relationship so early into his rising career. That would be naive.
And you definitely didn't expect this from Pedri.
You knew all he wanted was to fuck you probably, have his fun with you and then discard you like the rest. That's not what you wanted though. You were not some plaything, especially not to some athlete. You had neither time nor the nerves for that. And you didn't have feelings for him anyways, so this whole thing was absolutely pointless to think about.
With a sigh you stand up. The jersey was tucked into a crop, showing off your little belly button piercing perfectly.
"You look really pretty.", Sofía says from behind you. You can't lie, the jeans hugged your ass in all the right ways and for once you managed to not have a bad make-up day.
"Just in time as well, the driver texted. Let's go.", she informs you. You grab your bag and head out.
Pedri (or Fernando, you honestly don't know) was nice enough to arrange a chaffeur for the two of you. The brothers and their parents already went ahead hours ago, like they almost always did in support of their son and brother. Seeing no point in waiting inside the stadium for hours, both you and Sofía decided to tag along later, being able to sleep in.
You arrive at the Camp Nou pretty quickly, considering the traffic and masses of people surrounding the place.
Once inside, you're welcomed with loud cheers and chants of the Culers, cheering passionately pre-match for their favorite club.
It was a bit difficult getting through, but you find Fernando eventually.
"You've made it!", Fer greets the two of you with a loud cheer. He sweeps up Sofía in a tight hug, "You look beautiful.", he whispers to her and presses a kiss to her forehead. It takes everything in you to suppress a gag. They were disgusting.
"Can you guys hurry up?", you interrupt the love birds, wanting to take seat.
Fer makes a face at you, "You're just jealous."
"Absolutely not."
He rolls his eyes, "Yeah, yeah. I would have said the same if I was boyfriend-less. It's okay, __. He will come eventually, bless his poor soul."
Both you and Sofía punch Fer on the shoulder at the same time. "Don't be rude!", your best friend defends you. He rubs his shoulder sulkingly, "She started."
Sofía gives him another stern look before kissing him on the lips and rubbing his shoulder affectionately. What a traitor.
You surpress another eye roll." Where are your parents?", you ask. It's been some time since you've seen them too. You've met them even less than their youngest son, but the few times you have, they have been nothing but sweethearts.
"Getting food.", he says, "By the way, my brother wanted something from you.", Fer informs you.
You furrow your brows, "Right now?"
He nods, "Don't know what though. He said he'll wait somewhere downstairs." And with that he turns his attention back to his girlfriend, leaving you on your own.
Knowing that he won't be of much help anymore, you stand up and make your ways through the stands.
Lucky for you, you've been at the Camp Nou often enough to roughly know where to go. Otherwise you would have long gone lost.
When you find the door for the private area, you take a deep breath. Dealing with Pedri requires a calm mind, or else he wringgles his way into your head fast enough to make you go completely mad.
You step inside and shouldn't be suprised to see him already waiting for you. Yet you are.
He looks good in his sports uniform, the shorts doing nothing but only highlighting his lean but muscular legs.
Before you could take another step forward though, a security man yanks you back by your arm. "Wrong way, ma'am.", he says in a deep voice. He was huge, hovering over you with ease. It was a menacing sight.
"I'm-"
"She's with me.", Pedri tells him. He signs something to him with his hand, indicating him to leave.
The security guard contemplates to argue that it's technically against the rules, but apparently his last minutes of peace seem more precious to him in that moment and he gives you one final look, before leaving. He still has long and tiresome hours ahead of him.
Pedri walks towards you while saying something, yet you were still stuck on the words that left Pedri's mouth a moment ago. It was a simple sentence, nothing special really. Nonetheless your brain couldn't help but think about what if it was taken out of context for a split second. "She's with me. She belongs to me. She's mine."
You immediately shake the thoughts out of your head and instead focus on the boy in front of you. Calm mind, you think to yourself. "What do you want, González?"
Pedri actingly clutches his heart in a hurt manner, "I thought we're on first name basis __, you're breaking my heart."
You roll your eyes, "I'm serious, isn't your march starting, like, any minute? What do you want?"
Suddenly he pushes himself off the wall and positions himself right in front of you. His demeanor changes immediately. He crosses his arms and raises his eyebrows cockily, "I summoned you here, my lovely __, to receive my good luck kiss."
What.
You stare at Pedri with big eyes. If you were to be eating something, you surely would have choked on it. You must have misheard him. "Your what?"
He grins, "My good luck kiss. I couldn't possibly go without it today."
You think that he may be confusing your intentions somehow. There was no other explanation for it. "Look, what happened at the beach was a one-time-thing. Nothing serious.", you try to explain to him. You cannot deal with this right now.
"Never said it was, princess. Didn't say this one is either. Except for my match, of course."
You scoff at him. He's unbelievable.
He's always like this; acting nonchalant whenever you two talked, treating you like it was obvious and natural for you to give him whatever he wants. A mundane and ordinary thing for you to do.
Pedri takes a look at his wrist, pretending to read his watch (he isn't wearing one), "Which is starting very soon, so you might want to hurry up, sugar."
"You're being ridiculous."
"Never. Do you want us to lose, princess?"
You stare at him in shock. Is he trying to guilt-trip you right now? "Your inability to score has nothing to do with me."
"I'm serious.", he adds, ignoring your jab at him altogether. You can see the way his expression changes to a more genuine one now.
When you say nothing, he takes another step forward. Your eyes widen, when he touches your waist. You don't stop him. You don't stop him either when his other hand settles under your chin.
"Did you change your lip balm?", he asks suddenly, his thumb brushing your bottom-lip down gently. You did, however you didn't think he, or anyone else for the matter, would notice. Who even chatches something so unnoticable, unless you stare at their lips all the time?
Pedri was truly out of his mind, yet you somehow love the attention he pays you. You feel pretty under his gaze, you feel seen.
And it annoys you so much, because it goes against everything you hold against him. You shouldn't feel the way you feel right now, your legs shouldn't feel weak and your skin should not be burning.
But he looks so unbelievably good up close, you begin to lose yourself in his eyes. You never wanted someone so much.
The air around you is thick enough to cut through, oxygen dreads to disappear out of your lungs.
You nod, "Yes.", not able to say any more.
Pedri takes one last look at your mouth, "Can I guess the flavor?", he whispers almost. His face is only inches apart from yours.
And so you give in to him.
You don't know who leans in first, all you know is that his lips feel like heaven on earth. They move firm, but gentle, against yours.
His right hand grabs your neck, pulling your face even closer to his. You shudder, when you feel his tongue lick against your bottom-lip, and you grab his shoulders for support.
Pedri was like a drug; toxic and bad for you, but irresistible. The more you have a taste of it, the more you want it. And right now, he's the worst drug you've ever had. You're addicted.
Your tongues move in synch and Pedri pushes you harshly against the wall behind you. He slips his thigh between your legs and you gasp. "Wait."
With a plop you seperate from each other. Your entire body feels like its on fire, Pedri's swollen lips only an indicator on how you must look like right now. "We can't.", you say out of breath. You sound extremely unconvincing; even to your own ears.
Pedri notes that too. He licks his lips and winks, "You're right, I should head back. Next time, I'll make more time in advance."
He presses a final soft kiss to your lips before hurrying back to the cabine, not giving you a chance to oppose. You inwardly curse yourself for giving in so easily again.
When you head back to Sofía and the others, no one asks or says anything. You decide to ignore the mischievous gaze Fernando sends you.
The match starts with a whistle moments later. The entire first half of the match goes by in a blur. After the incident earlier you cannot focus on anything. For all it's worth though, they have not scored any goals yet. You're suddenly worried that it may be your fault somehow, even if you don't know how exactly it could have been your fault.
Nevertheless, they come back stronger in the second half. Lewandowski scores a goal in the 63th minute, assisted by Pedri and everyone cheers loudly.
That happiness doesn't hold on for long though, when only 7 minutes later Mallorca gets a penalty. Fernando yells at the referee, calling him names and you find yourself nodding along, not understanding his ridiculous decision. "You fucker, that was clearly not a foul!"
They make the goal and by the 90th minute everyone around you began loosing hope. But what did the German proverb say? Hope dies last.
It manifests itself in the form of Pedri, when the ball suddenly gets to his feet - a pass from Gavi. You watch as the ball is seemingly glued to his feet. Pedri dribbles past his opponents inside the box and shoots...!
A roar errupts inside the Camp Nou. Everyone jumps up, screaming and crying. His name booms loudly through the stadium speakers. Sofía engulfes you in a tight hug and you can't help but cheer as well.
Pedri scored the winning goal.
He runs to the stands shouting, his teammates clapping him on the shoulder or hugging him. Gavi is hot on his trail and they do their handshake. You anticipate him to do his signature celebration next, but he doesn't.
Instead he pulls his arms close to his torso and flutters his hands up and down. Then he points to your general direction. Your eyes widen in recognition. Ferran and Ansu imitate him with a laugh.
"A new celebration?", you hear his father ask from behind you.
To everyone it looks like some silly celebration he made up with his teammates before the game; dedicating his final goal to his loving family by pointing there.
To you, it looks like exactly for what it is.
Pedri was imitating a bee. A bee producing honey - the flavor of your new lip balm.
He's just absolutely shameless. And somehow, you like it.

Tumblr media
there was a time when sneaking around was fun, exciting. when their worlds revolved only around each other and the only worry in their minds was keeping their relationship a secret.
their friend group was a close knit one, they knew each other since they were kids and had grown up together, and when they’d reached the age of first boyfriends, girlfriends, and other partners, they’d all made a pact to never date someone from the group.
the fact that it was forbidden only made things more interesting for them.
what fools they’d been, hoping for a forever at such a young age, thinking their love would be eternal and nothing could ever come between them.
they thought they were in the clear, for so long their friends were unaware of the relationship between the two of them, they would reach an age where they would never care that they’d been hiding the truth for so many years.
six years together was enough to know they’d never feel a love like theirs.
but he was a passionate person, and whilst she loved when that passion was directed to her, on other occasions it felt as if she were the second option. the other thing to occupy his mind when he got tired of racing.
teenage daydreams turned into nightmares. their young age meant they felt everything. and everything was intense and fiery and red.
how ironic it was, that the color that had best described their secret relationship turned into a color that would chase him around wherever he went. that right when his career seemed to go the up, when his future looked gold, his personal life had hit an all time low, when the scarlet fire that burned between them had turned into ashes.
she always knew he was destined for greatness. and he was so determined and focused and so in love with racing that it was only natural, only obvious that he’d climb his way to the top teams of his sport in a short time. his talent was one that she’d neverseen in anyone, and he loved showing it off, not in a braggy way, but he knew what he was capable of, and he wasn’t afraid to show it, he saw no reason to hide it.
age 18.
“slow down!” she yelled as she laughed, holding onto the side of the car door. all the windows were down, as was the top, they were finally putting to good use charles’ convertible car.
“don’t listen to her, charles, speed up!” one of their friends, nate, added from the back of the car. the five of them were celebrating charles’ birthday, he was the first in their group to turn 18 and he’d just gotten his driver’s license, finally free to drive around wherever he wanted.
charles laughed, speeding a little before settling for a constant speed that wasn’t too fast or too slow.
“it’s a great thing your parents gave you a car, now we have a personal chauffeur,” she said, throwing a teasing smile his way. they were seating in the front, with their three friends in the back, but somehow it felt as if they were the only ones there.
“no, none of that. you have to learn how to drive, too, otherwise what are you going to do when i’m gone?”
“go with you, duh,” she rolled her eyes.
“hey, that is true, because at least we all know how to drive, we’re ready. but you don’t… why don’t you?” another one of their friends, elise, asked.
“i don’t know,” she shrugged, “i’ve never had the need to. and to be honest, i don’t know how good of a driver i’ll be if i ever sit behind the wheel.” she admitted.
“yeah, we’ve all seen you play mario kart, you always seem to find the wall.” charles laughed, making her hit his shoulder with a fist.
“shut up. keep that up and i won’t learn how to drive just to spite you.”
they laughed, enjoying the moment of freedom, just the five of them, five friends since birth, friends til death. five friends, two lovers.
-
it had been years since the five of them were all back home for the holidays, sometimes either only one of them was gone, or they were all away, but after three years, they were all back home at the same time. and that was something to be celebrated. they’d all seen each other throughout the years, but never the five of them at once.
charles arrived first, the christmas dinner was taking place at elise’s apartment, she’d just moved into her new place, so this worked both as a reunion and a housewarming. he’d decided to walk there, since it was on the same street as his building. he took the elevator and knocked on the door, he heard shuffling of feet approach and wrapped his fingers a little tighter around the neck of the wine bottle he’d bought.
“hey, charles, i wasn’t expecting anyone to be punctual,” elise laughed, moving aside to let him in.
“i’m the first one here?” he asked, raising the bottle, “this is for you, by the way. congrats on the new place,” he smiled.
“thank you! welcome, make yourself at home, but do take your shoes off because that white rug is new,” she smiled, walking to the kitchen, “and yeah, but nate called like two minutres ago, he and marie are on their way.”
“oh, and…” he didn’t finish, and it was finally hitting him that he’d be seeing her again.
“(y/n) is going to be a bit late, she had to go to the museum in nice so she’s probably going to be stuck in a little bit of traffic,”
“she’s- she didn’t take the train?” he asked.
“no, she drove there.”
“she drives?” he asked, sounding completely surprised by that. she was always so apprehensive whenever that topic arose in conversation.
“yeah! you didn’t know? she’s… you remember how we always used to joke around with her always crashing once she learned how to drive?” charles nodded, prompting her to continue,  “she actually aced her driving test, both the technical and the written tests.”
“oh, i… i didn’t know that,”
“what happened with you two? you used to be inseperable. like, yeah, all five of us were close, but it was always charles and (y/n), and then us.”
“i- i’m not sure. i guess… distance and responsibilities was just a lot for our friendship.”
“well maybe you can rekindle that friendship now. it’ll do you both good.”
“yeah,” charles said, and right then the doorbell rang.
he felt like he needed some peace and quiet to think, but with his two friends arriving just then, that seemed impossible to get.
if he was honest, he hadn’t given himself much time to think about her. at first, of course, she was the only thing in his mind, they’d spent six years together, and he couldn’t believe how it was all slipping from his fingers so easily.
age 21.
she sighed as she heard the automatic voicemail message, she had been trying to call charles for the past five minutes and all she was met with was his pre-recorded message.
“charles, you better pick up this damn phone. i can’t believe you, how could you miss this? i asked you time and time again, even moved this three times for you. and where are you? not here. i- i don’t know if i can keep doing this. you always promise that i’m your priority, but that’s just not true. if you don’t want to be with me then just say it, i’m a big girl and i can handle it. but i don’t deserve this. i don’t deserve to be someone’s second choice. and i know that your career is important, trust me i know that better than anyone. all i asked of you was one night, one night for you to actually be there for me. you know what? forget it, don’t even bother coming. not to the museum, or to my apartment. and don’t worry about me, i’ll find my way home. i don’t need you to drive me around anymore.”
she hung up, staring out to the city of nice. it was the opening of a new exhibit in the museum of modern and contemporary art, an exhibit that she’d been a big part of, probably her proudest achievement, considering she was still a student in university. everyone was there for her. her parents, friends, classmates and workers from the museum. well, almost everyone.
charles hadn’t replied since earlier that morning. he didn’t wish her good luck, or even acknowledged the opening of the exhibit. he just said ‘see you tonight’. and that was it. he was in italy, had been for the past week. ever since the announcement that he was making the switch from sauber to ferrari she’d been seeing him even less than when he started racing in f1. she understood, of course, that there were certain responsibilities that came when being a ferrari driver. she knew that, she was his biggest supporter, but she wished that he was as passionate about her achievements as she was of his. or even acknowledge them and congratulate her.
many times she’d told herself that she was being selfish, of course things were going to change once charles made it to the big leagues, but things were changing too fast. he spent more time away from home than with her, and when he was home he was practicing on his simulator, or preparing for an interview, a ferrari event.
this was the last straw. it was a long time coming, and him not showing up, not even bothering to text back, this was enough.
she walked back inside, but stumbled into a waiter passing by, causing him to drop his tray on top of her. her dress now sported a wine-colored stain right in the middle. it was a dress charles had gifted her on one of their anniversaries. it was poetic, how the dress was now ruined, as was their relationship. she ran to the coat room, wrapping her black coat around her. she wasn’t going to let anything else ruin this night.
the next morning, she signed up for driving lessons.
two weeks later, she was getting perfect marks on both tests.
she once said she wouldn’t learn to drive just to spite him, but this was better. to show him that she didn’t need him anymore.
-
the four friends were having a nice time, drinking wine and eating chips and other snacks as dinner was cooking.
“elise, i swear, next time we’re hanging out at my place because finding a parking spot is impossible around here,” a new voice said, walking in through the front door.
there she was.
wearing a tan, long coat, a briefcase-style bag hanging from her shoulder, all black turtleneck sweater, leggings and boots on. makeup done to perfection, a deep shade of red on her lips.
“hello everyone,” she smiled, tossing her bag on the floor and walking to the dining area. “what did i miss?” she asked, and everyone started filling her in on their previous conversation topics.
she hadn’t even glanced at him. not once.
charles didn’t even know if she knew he was coming, if he was there at all.
-
it wasn’t until later, when everyone’s cheeks were flushed from the wine, when the leftover food was growing cold in the forgotten plates, and they were all sitting around the living room, sharing stories and memories of years’ past, that they talked to each other.
“... and the museum is doing a really cool charity event in late january, so that’s where all of our focus is right now,” she finished catching everyone up to speed about her job in the museum. ever since college that place had become her home. “you’re all invited, of course, we need all the help we can get.”
“when is it?” charles asked, he couldn’t deny the fact that he was impressed by everything she was handling in the museum, she did a little bit of everything, but those little bits eventually turned into big, great things. he was impressed, however, not surprised. he always knew she could do it, she’d fallen in love with art in her teenage years, the first time they visited a contemporary museum. they’d gone together, of course, and charles couldn’t forget the way her eyes widened, the way she clearly understood what the artist wanted to say, it was love at first sight.
“the 21st,” she turned to him. charles had expected a reaction from her, but she looked at him like he was just her friend.
“we’ll be there,” nate said.
“you’re not busy, superstar?” marie joked, looking at charles.
“i don’t think so. and if i am i’ll just move whatever to a different day.”
“you don’t have to do that,” she said, and this time charles caught something. her voice sounded a little harsher.
“i want to, we haven’t seen each other in so long, and you’ve done a lot for me, it’s only fair that i return the favor,” he smiled, wanting to get something more out of her, he got nothing, only a nod.
-
age 19.
“come on, you’ve been, quite possibly, the best person i ever could’ve asked for. it’s only fair i return the favor.” charles said, keeping his hand over her eyes as he led her to the surprise he’d prepared for her.
“you know i don’t need anything,” she chuckled, and he could feel her smile, the apples of her cheeks rising.
“well, this is more something for me, but it’s going to be good for you, eventually,”
“what do you mean?” she asked, still up for whatever he was planning. he removed his hand from her eyes. “what-”
“it’s your very own private driving lesson,” charles explained, making her laugh.
“charles, i don’t need to learn how to drive,”
“of course you do! you have to at least know the basics,”
“gas, brake, turn to the right, turn to the left, lights… i think i got it.”
“come on,” he chuckled, wrapping his arms around her, “why don’t you want to learn?”
“i don’t know. i guess… i enjoy having you to drive me around, i like singing in the car with you, with the wind blowing in my hair, or just sitting in silence and watching the landscapes outside. i like doing that with you. plus… i’m afraid of having control of a car, because what if i lose control? what if the brakes fail, or someone crashes into me… it’s a lot to think about all the time. i think i’m just not made for driving.”
“well, lucky for you i was made for driving, and i like having you as my co-pilot, there’s no one else i’d rather have by my side.”
-
“it’s gifts time!” nate said loudly. “i’ll start,” he declared, standing up and picking a bag off the floor. “for you,” he started, handing a white envelope to (y/n), “and you,” he said, giving charles a small box, “and you,” he gave elise a wrapped gift that resembled a mug in shape, “and finally, you,” he said, giving marie a thin, long box.
they all opened theirs, marie got a hand-made friendship bracelet. elise got a new mug, charles got a pair of boxers with lightning mcqueen all over them, and (y/n) got a ticket to an exhibit in a parisian museum.
elise was next, then marie. as marie sat down, after handing everyone their gifts, charles pulled out his phone, sending a few pdf files to their groupchat.
“merry christmas, guys.” he said as all their phones rang. they all opened the files, each named after one of them, they were confirmations to a hotel booking, as well as a scanned picture of what would be their vip passes for the italian grand prix in monza.
“charles!”
“no way!”
“italia, mio home, here i come,” nate said, pinching his fingers together.
she gave him a small smile, muttering a ‘thanks’ as she stood up.
“well, now i wish i hadn’t been last, nothing can top that off,” she said, “but i hope you all like these. merry christmas, i hope we get to spend many more years as friends, and more evenings like this.” she said, handing them all their gifts and sitting down to watch their expressions. she loved giving gifts.
nate received a new gaming headset, eloise got a tea set, marie got a sweater, and charles got a replica of an f1 car, he inspected it closely.
“it’s made out of carrara marble,” she explained.
“wow, it’s… beautiful, thank you.”
“you’re welcome, i’ve… nevermind,” she said, charles was about to ask her what she wanted to say but was interrupted with nate announcing he was leaving. marie left with him, and not long after she was saying her goodbyes too.
“i guess that’s my cue to leave, too.”
“i didn’t see your car,” she said, she would’ve remembered seeing his car parked somewhere.
“i walked here, i didn’t see the point in driving,”
“huh,” she said, grabbing her bag and hanging it from her shoulder. charles frowned as she walked to elise, hugging her. “well, i’ll give you a lift if you want.”
yes, yes, yes, please. yes. go with her.
everything inside of him lit up at her offer, part of him couldn’t believe she was even offering in the first place. he said goodbye to elise quickly, rushing after her.
“wait up,” he said, jogging to catch up.
they didn’t speak as the elevator went down, she could feel his eyes on her, shifting away to try and be subtle. as they exited the building he had to follow her, he didn’t even know what car she drove.
“you’re shitting me,” he said, looking at the silver logo in front of the car.
“what? not all of us can afford a ferrari,” she said, “what? you can’t be seen inside a mercedes?” she smirked. out of instinct, charles walked to the driver’s side, but stopped in his tracks as she unlocked the door and watched him standing there. “i know this is usually your side, but you’re a passenger for these next minutes,”
charles was left speechless as he walked to the passenger side, it felt so foreign. especially when she was the one behind the wheel. he closed the door as he got in, and waited for her to turn on the car. he turned to her when she didn’t.
“seatbelt,” she reminded him.
charles couldn’t stop the small chuckle that left his lips.
“you’re a really responsible driver,” he said.
“of course i am. no one knows what might happen.”
“i- i have to say, it’s really weird seeing you like this,”
“i know. but… turns out i’m a damn great driver. it helps me relax, and it’s… thrilling, to work in sync with the right machine to get from point a to point b…”
“now you get what i feel with my cars.”
“i always got that,” she clarified. “i always knew how important driving is to you. it just hurt to know that it was more important than me.”
“it wasn’t- it-”
“oh, please,” she chuckled humorlessly, turning on the car, she checked the mirrors before leaving the parked space. “i’ve made my peace with that a long time ago, it’s okay to admit it. i’m but hurt. not anymore.”
“but it wasn’t i-”
“listen, i don’t… i don’t want to discuss this, racing was your number one priority and that’s completely fine, i get it. it’s normal to get so caught up in it that you forget about everything else. i’m sure i used to do that too, with the museum and all,”
“you did, but not like i did. and i… i’m sorry, for… making you feel like that.”
“like i said, i made my peace with that long ago, i don’t need an apology.”
“well, i still feel like i owe you one.”
“it’s fine, you don’t have to feel guilty. we were young, dumb, still feeling like we were teenagers, pretending to even know what future was like. we were each other’s first love, it’s normal to still have feelings.”
“do you?”
“what?”
“have feelings? for me?”
“i feel a lot of things, charles, and six years, plus so many more as friends, are not easy to forget. it would’ve been nice, you know.”
“what?”
“if you would’ve been the one. it’s a story just straight from a movie. do you think-” she cut herself off.
“what?” charles asked, and he remembered the other thought she’d stopped herself from saying out loud back at elise’s.
“do you think that… if one thing had been different… everything would be different? today? now?”
charles stayed quiet, thinking about every little thing he would’ve done differently.
“maybe. yeah.”
“yeah,” she repeated.
she’d been driving around in circles, they’d reached charles’ building about five minutes ago, but she hadn’t stopped driving. she kept doing the same four turns over and over again.
“what were you going to say… when you gave me the car?” he asked.
“oh, that. it’s… nothing, really. just… that i’ve had that for a long time.”
“since we…”
“it was going to be your birthday present.”
“and you never threw that away.”
“it’s made from the same material as ‘david’, i wasn’t just going to throw that away. or give it to someone who wouldn’t cherish it.”
“well… thank you. and congratulations on being a great driver, though… i don’t think the cameras will agree after seeing you pass here for the seventh time,” he said as she was making a right turn.
“thanks. and i guess… i have to thank you, too. if we… if we’d never broken up i… i never would’ve become me.”
“that… hurt,” he admitted. “but i get it. i should also thank you. you… did so much for me, gave up so much that i… i guess i took you for granted. and it only took having you away from me to really know how much you did for me without me even noticing. so… thank you. and i like this new you. you seem… happy.”
“i am. but still… i can’t shake the feeling that i’m missing something.”
“what?”
“you. even though you made me grow up, i still feel like i need to have my teenage side, and… there’s so much i want to do, but new me is responsible, she’s proper, she’s professional. and sometimes, i get tired of all of it. you always made me feel like a kid, in the best way possible, you made me feel like everything was possible, that it’s okay to let loose and have an adventurous side. i need that, i miss that.”
“well, i’m staying here all month. and i’m more than happy to help you rediscover your wild side.”
“don’t say it like that,” she laughed.
“no, no, i didn’t mean it like that, but-” he chuckled, “i guess that offer stands, too.”
“not happening. not now, at least.”
“so there’s a chance?”
“i don’t know. we’ll have to see.”
“i know. here’s adventure number one: drive to the harbor.”
“the- why?” she asked, driving there, anyway.
“we’re about to take a midnight stroll,” he explained.
“okay, but…  why the harbor?”
“it’s not your typical stroll, we’re not the ones doing the walking.”
“then?”
“have you ever seen ‘sedici’?” he asked.
“what’s that?”
“my yacht.”
“a midnight boat ride?” she asked, a smile on her face.
“what do you say?”
“you better be a damn good captain as i am a driver,”
“you’d be surprised.”
“i’m ready to be surprised.”

a/n: two fics in one day?!?!?!? who would’ve thought 🤭
word count: 796
❤️❤️❤️
It was a beautiful evening, the sun was just starting to set and the florida air was warm with a slight breeze.
Y/N sat in the back of a black escalade, driven by their chauffeur.
She lifted her compact mirror, studying each angle of her face, ensuring her makeup and hair was perfect.
Her outfit consisted of a beautiful form fitting black dress, So Kate Louboutin heels, and a Dior saddle bag, gifted to her by her husband. Although he claims it’s for a special occasion, Y/N thinks it’s another opportunity for him to spoil her rotten.
Soon after, the car came to a stop in front of her favorite restaurant.
“We’ve arrived, Mrs. Anoa’i,” the driver announced before going around to her side and helping her out of the car.
“Thank you so much,” she smiled, reaching into her bag to retrieve cash to tip him. He thanked her gracefully before saying his goodbyes for the night.
She smoothed the fabric of her dress and strutted into the building.
The orange glow from the dozens of lit candles illuminated the dimly lit dining room. That accompanied by the sweet smell of flowers and soft jazz music made the atmosphere that much more romantic.
She gave her name to the hostess and followed as she led her to a more secluded section of the restaurant.
The sound of her Louboutins clicking against the hardwood floor alerted him of her arrival. He watched intently as she sauntered over and once their eyes met, the most beautiful smile erupted on her gorgeous face.
Her knees almost buckled when he rose from his seat to greet her.
His perfectly tailored suit hugged his strong, muscular body in the most devilish way.
His long black locks were slicked back into a low bun and his graying beard was groomed to perfection.
He extended a hand towards her and she grabbed it, squealing when he abruptly pulled her into him.
Her arms wrapped tightly around his neck, and his around her waist.
“You’re late,” he said into her neck. Y/N rolled her eyes playfully.
“Are you really surprised?”
“After 10 years of waiting on you, I guess I shouldn’t be,” he chuckled when she swatted his back.
She pulled away slightly with a lovesick smile, only for him to steal a soft kiss from her deep red lips.
“You look beautiful baby, even more so than the last time I saw you,” he smirked at the shy smile she desperately tried to hide (she failed 🤭).
“You don’t look too bad yourself honey,” she gave him another peck before pulling him back into her embrace, “Happy Anniversary Joe. I missed you. So glad you’re home.”
“Happy Anniversary my love. Come on, food should be coming out soon”
He led her seat at the table which was decorated with candles and a huge bouquet of her favorite flowers. Not to mention a bottle of her favorite (and very expensive) bottle of wine.
Not too long after, their server arrived, dishing out all their favorite foods and pouring two glasses of the wine.
They spent the next hour drinking, eating, laughing and being madly in love. Y/N couldn’t help herself from moving her seat closer to her husband and he welcomed the company, planting a gentle but firm hand on her thigh.
The dinner was slowly coming to an end, but not before they ordered dessert.
They sat comfortably, legs intertwined, feeding each other spoonfuls of cheesecake.
“Thank you for tonight, even though I was late on our anniversary,” she grinned.
“Don’t thank me yet baby, the night is still young and I still have a few more things in store for you,”
“Don’t you think you’ve spoiled me enough?” Y/N
“Nope, it’ll never be enough, my love. After 10 years of you putting up with me and my insane work schedule, this is the least I could do for you. You deserve the world,” Joe whispered, feeling himself getting choked up.
Y/N leaned over, capturing his lips with hers, both of them pouring all of their emotions into one mind numbing kiss.
They pulled away breathless, pressing their foreheads together.
“I already have the world Joseph, you and those 4 beautiful babies we made are my world,” Y/N smiled widely.
Joe looked at her as if she hung the moon and stars.
“Have I told you how absolutely beautiful you look tonight?” Joe asked breaking the silence
Y/N couldn’t help the giggle that escaped her lips.
“Only about 300 times since the night started,” she bit her lip as her hand traveled up his chest and grabbed his tie, tugging slightly.
“Well I’m going to tell you 300 more times before the night ends.”

Prompts: Video Games + First Job + Study Groups
For @drewtanakaweek's Riordan Flash Fic Fridays (707 words, got a little long and messy omg...)
This was Nico’s first job. He knew that, technically, he didn’t need to work a single day for the rest of his life, having Pluto as his father. He could literally go ask his dad for a infinite credit card. Is not like he hadn’t taken many from him before. Di Immortales, he still used Jules-Albert, the French zombie chauffeur Hades had gifted him for his birthday after the Second Titan War. Sue him, it was just much more convenient went he and his friends wanted to go out of Camp Jupiter and into the Mortal World for some really quick (to avoid encountering monsters) fun. Which wasn’t exactly achievable if he always fainted immediately after shadow travelling to where they wanted to go.
Thus, the French zombie chauffeur. However, pocket money was something else entirely. After the Second Giant War, in which Nico had found friendship (a concept before so foreign to him) in Praetors Jason and Reyna… oh, if someone had told him when he first enter Camp Jupiter that he would become close with the Praetors, Nico wouldn’t have believed it. Dam, if someone had told him that after he run away from Camp, he would had laughed and look at the person as if they were insane…
Regardless, he now had very persistent friends who cared for him and had been able to convince him that maybe staying at New Rome with them wouldn’t be that bad. However, Nico couldn’t spend all of his time with his busy praetor friends so, the year after the War, he started attending several study groups to get the education he severely lacked. He probably should had attended normal classes but, having not touched a school since he was 8 and that being more than 50 years ago, he would had been forced to start from Primary and he would rather fade into nothingness (which had almost happen before!) than learn next to little children (practically toddlers!). So study groups it was!
However, three years had come and go and, with the help of the other people at the study groups (specially one Annabeth Chase, daughter of Minerva, who was in charge of leading), he was finally up-to-date with his 21st Century peers (oh, what a headache delight). However, that left him with a huge hole in his days to fill or else die from boredom, which would greatly disappoint his father… he could already hear him saying “Son, of all the ways you can die, you chose this?” in his head over and over again… maybe he actually was saying it….
Agh, getting back to the topic at hand: so, when a Video Games store open at New Rome’s tiny mall, he went and applied for a job there. He had spent 80 years in the Lotus Casino playing every video game imaginable, so who better qualify for the job that him? Well, in all honesty there were probably tons of people (who this wouldn’t be their first job and who had at least actually gone to school), but for some chance of luck (or maybe the fact that nobody was interested) he was hired!
And it was great fun! Getting paid to geek talk about videogames with other people was the dream (even though, he was a bit useless regarding videogames released in the last 5 years, but no one is perfect, right?). Shelving could be a bit boring and helping customers could get difficult due to his social anxiety, but overall it was okay. His job was specially alright when a certain freckled blond son of Apollo visited, always browsing (spending a lot of time in the Mythomagic section!) but more often than not leaving empty handed. He was really cute. And he had once entered wearing a ‘Gaymer’ t-shirt! And he would sometimes smile, and on occasion wink, at Nico! And spend much more time than necessary at the register, asking him about his day (which wasn’t really that interesting to be honest)…
So, who knows, maybe this job would get him a boyfriend on top of pocket money (which had become such a excuse at this point, if it hadn’t always been one)… A boy could dream…
And, Gods, did Nico dream.

A/n: sorry if this feels rushed, I’m wanting to be consistent but I’ll still be editing this!
Being childhood friends, and on top of that, having Yuna as your originally betrothed wife, it was easy for anyone to see that they shouldn’t mess with her, or you’d see it through that they’d get it from you. It could be a simple little busted lip or a good old pinky removal with a refreshing alcohol soak. All changed however with her father’s passing, as no one else within her family held a position in the gang, other than her cousin, Ryujin, and it was decided that you’d have the final say as to who you’d like to marry, as heir apparent to the gang and the family fortune. You didn’t let this translate to any form of controlling yuna’s life, she was free to do whatever she liked-date, pleasure or love.
Driving past every streetlight on the highway, the bursts of bright light seemed to coincide with every beat of what was blasting through the speakers, yet tension hung in the air as neither of you looked at each other for the entire ride, let alone share words with one another. Riding shotgun, her slow blinks into the faraway cityscape seem to be a mirror of how her desire for material wealth had her discard all exclusivity in your relationship. It wasn’t like you couldn’t live without her either, really, as time passed there were no labels on your relationship and you could have girls over with a simple text, but something about this girl was just so enchanting. You admired her confidence, and as a child you’d always blush when she called you her wife, you still do when the the term is jokingly brought up by her on occasions she was drunk and you were her desired chauffeur.
A mistake was made. Letting your ego get the best of you, one phone call and some secretly taken pictures uploaded by yuna’s friend yeji, had you seriously regret your actions, hence the sudden meet up with yuna. One quiet dinner later, you knew you messed up. Her gaze no longer hung onto you like it used to, and her hands seemed to just have been on her lap for the whole of dinner when they’d normally be rested on the table-another sign of her discomfort.
Now you wished the blindingly bright red street light could for once be brighter and just permanently impair your vision, deprive you of sight and erase your existence. A chrome silver supercar pulls up beside your vehicle, with its owners’ haughty eyes eagerly eyeing yuna, and before long red turns green, the very girl beside you rolls the window down and smiles, and your surroundings seemed to blur, as you remember that was the very playboy she used to fool with for an allowance. You sometimes couldn’t help but wonder about what exactly you were. Best friends? Platonic soulmates? Friends with benefits?
Sure, the douchebag of a loser had money, some two block hairstyle that was styled the same way as half of Korea, and a nice car, but what exactly was so special about him? Yuna couldn’t do any better? Surely she could, you were right beside her, was she too blind to notice?
Yuna’s expression however turns into one of discomfort as he sticks his tongue out and taunts her, calling her degrading names. “Dirty whore” was what you heard, following her instinctive grabbing your arm for comfort, despite her unconsciously digging her nails a little harder than usual into your dress shirt, that was all you needed to give in to her and her antics and put a stop to what was a perceived Cold War between both of you.
Speeding off to your apartment, you comfort the girl with greater confidence, assuring her that you’d make sure that small fry would be gone within the next few days. Placing your thumb below her eyelids to wipe away her tears, you listen to her sniffling as she felt dirty, ashamed, as she has had no choice to mingle with men so as to gather intel for the gang. Removing your coat, you place it over her, interlocking your fingers with hers, not before pressing a chaste kiss on her fingers. Her hands soft like feathers, yet her nails digging into you gave you a little pain. Surely you could do something to better comfort her, or so you thought, you weren’t wrong, for what came later would be often reviewed in your memory.
Before long, you had arrived at your apartment, but now long elegant fingers pulled at your garment as you tried to park the vehicle.
“What’s wrong yun” spilled out your mouth, her blatant stoning at your face while you were trying to park the Maybach was worrying, but what was more worrying was that you notice her nails have been chewed- another bad habit she had when she felt anxious or helpless.
“Are you really going to marry yeji?”
“Do you not want me to marry her? Besides, where’d you hear that from?”. It was nonsense, you knew deep within that yuna would be on your mind even if you married yeji, and besides, you hadn’t an interest in yeji as comparable as you did in yuna. She brought out whatever good was left in you, a rarity considered you’d lived a life of sin. Killings, contracts, and intoxication weren’t exactly any good, but necessary for business. Drawing smiles from you and convincing you to do good on your own terms made you sure she was the one you wanted to marry.
“No, you know I don’t like sharing my wife with others.”
This time around however, she didn’t seem to be joking. She brushes her bangs aside, mustering up all her courage to place her lips on yours, while removing her coat, placing arms around your torso, in a fashion that seemed impatient, yet eager. You reciprocate, hand gently carding into her scalp to pull her deeper into the kiss, your free hand roaming on her thighs. Her porcelain like pale skin was smooth and tender, almost as if she would disintegrate of you so much as give her thighs a squeeze. It didn’t though, as you swiped your thumb over her thigh, gave it a reassuring squeeze and broke away from the kiss.
“Adorable, she’s the possessive sort.” you thought. Now you were no stranger to the degree of her jealousy, but you very often struggled to decipher the solution to her anger.
You were young, but being in a criminal organization had honed your ability to judge human relations, and you wouldn’t be more sure you wanted to be with yuna. Her presence breathes life into you, she quite literally settles internal issues when you’re away, pulls you to meetings with rival gangs, and still does chores for you just as she did years ago, even though you both know she doesn’t have to.
My eyes are up here, you thought. The confident girl you admired had now turned into a pathetic mess, hiding her face in your scarf, not knowing what to do. She honestly didn’t know where to look, like she’d been melting under your skin.
Back in your apartment, she helps herself to some aged wine. There’s an observed familiarity with your apartment- she knows where everything is, the wine glasses, the calligraphy ink, even the important contracts and something about it drives you crazy, seeing the girl of your dreams all domestic, yet able to appear so powerful at times. You loved pampering her, but you’d never tell her, justifying your bias toward her as following through with her father’s deathbed wish to have you take good care of yuna.
With a swift snap, you remove your belt and prepare to wash up, silently agreeing on yuna taking your bed while you take the sofa, just like how it’s always been when you were kids. Hair now all tousled, you return to the bedroom with yuna dressed in your white dress shirt, but all you could see was how cute she looked in oversized clothing.
“y/n, I hate to be a bother, but, hey, do you still remember the promise you made when we were kids?”
Oh, she was getting there.
But of course you remembered, the innocent promise to take her as your wife on her fifth birthday before you even knew what love meant. You promised to treasure her for as long as life goes, cater to her every want and need, ensure she never gets hurt. Had you seen to it as strictly as you should’ve, the said girl might have cried lesser tears. Forgetting material wealth and status, it sometimes seemed like you were never a fit to her. You secretly wished she could marry a decent person that would make her happy, and most importantly, bring stability in her life, as she had went through too many situations that could’ve been prevented. Being part of a gang had its dangers, and this was an obvious fact you tell newcomers, but when it came to yuna you felt like you would take a bullet for her. It seemed like she caught ahold of your introspection, as your eyes couldn’t betray your thoughts. She sees the slightest delay in your straightening of posture, gaze downward as you try to remove your tie, but she steps in before you dwell on the matter any further.
“good, so you remember.” Was what was implied through her gentle smile. Without hesitation, she takes small strides toward you, and helps you with removing your tie. You entertain her actions, training your eyes on hers. She loved to put on shows for you, and it evidently was time, she thought, to put one on now. Tie now forgotten and laying on the ground, as if an accessory for the very marble flooring, you pull yuna in by the sterling silver necklace you gifted her on her fifteenth birthday, and with sensuality like never before she places her hands on your chest, slowly gliding up, before pausing for a brief moment to unbutton her top before pushing you down to the bed behind you.
Big doe eyes on you, showing innocence and want, yet the upward curve of the corner of her lips challenged you to do something about the situation. Moving your hand to her hips, you give her a tight squeeze before she now sits down on you, now biting her bottom lip while looking at you like an obedient puppy. One that was now of all times acting tame, when her usual behavior was anything but behaved. Placing your palm under the dress shirt, the pearl colored linen rides up her toned torso, and hardened nipples poke into your palm. Already so worked up? Drawing slow circles to her areola, giving the bud an occasional squeeze or two worked out airy breaths from the girl, which unfortunately meant that her nails were digging into your back and deep red lines would appear on your back the following day, not that you minded though, maybe they’d make a nice accessory. Your free fingers stretch her pretty mouth out, something you had been thinking of doing for some time, to see how the tongue she likes to stick out so much when she smirks feels, as she tries to control her euphoric reaction but to no avail, biting down harshly on your finger, leaving drool trailing down your wrist, eyes rolled back into the caves of her sockets, possibly ascending to the highest of heavens, or conversely perhaps down to the deepest depths of hell with how she indulges in pleasure.
Now it was time to address the heat blooming between her thighs, which had her thrust into you like an animal in heat. Angling herself such that her bare neck was on full display, you take the chance to decorate your canvas. Leaving little purple reddish clouds with your teeth, with your canines dragging across her fair, milky skin, you moved your attention below before you got too preoccupied with marking her up. Now she was a grunting mess, yet at a loss for words as she seemed to only speak with her eyes, expecting you to decipher a “fuck me already” from a frown, gaze lowered to meet yours and fluttery lashes.
Deciding to finally give in, your fingers take an extra shift to find their way into her now sopping panties, and work like a machine, making languid thrusts that ended with a curl of the fingers, feeling for the spongy tissue that drew out something between a high pitched whine and a scream from the girl before you. Before long, she calls out for your name, and hides her visage in your hair, ragged breaths approaching you in the form of whimpers and heat. With each thrust you feel her grip on your back tightening, the very veins on her neck more prominent, complementing the already purple-red patches on her neck you could say you were proud of.
Her chest rises and falls quick, a signal she was fragile, maybe short of a thrust or two before seeing stars. You let her ride it out, and reciprocate, making a scissoring action with your fingers to stretch her cunt out, at the same time praising her for taking your fingers so well. She clenches against your fingers, thighs threatening to collapse and you take in her ruined state. If looks could kill, you’re sure you would’ve been killed multiple times over- her dark velvet lips accompanied by sweat hanging on her temple, the gentle slope of her nose bridge, long lashes appearing longer than usual when her eyes are closed all point to a fucked out, red faced yuna, a sight that would give anyone a nosebleed. You swear she had drawn blood from your back, now with the very same crimson that harmonized in long lines across your body. You could never deny her anyway.
It seems like she’d never been stretched out and pleasured this well, seeing that she remains unmoving, deep in your embrace, panting not dying down anytime soon. Giving her a few teasing slaps to her cunt, she twitches, and she recovers, now gazing intently at you, lethargy hanging in her face, yet she manages a sly smile and a lick of her parched lips.
“Satisfied, angel?”
