[Image description: A digital painting based on the film Ladrones de tumbas. It depicts the character Armando laying in sheets as his guts ooze out of a large hole in his stomach. The blood travels up to his face which is turned to the side in anguish. One of his hands lays near his face. As the gits drip down they transition into a bright red pile of abstract circles and some other shapes. In this pile there are the words "el tesoro". The colours used for the piece are mostly blues with reds for the gore and some purple and greens mixed in. The rest of the piece is a dark void.]

I feel bored. Stagnant. I must get on my driving lessons, drive, sign up for classes, read everything and go get my life since nobody else will give it to me

Wait you saw the Brazilian Portuguese dub and the English dub? I didn’t know that you spoke Portuguese
Tumblr media
Hi Hon!❤️✨
I am not fluent, but am learning! (Thank you Duolingo for giving me the basics). I speak more than one language! English and French are just ones that I speak the most here!
But in general, I loved both version. They were a great story!

Hi lulu, so i was wondering if have you played Far cry new dawn in French, does roger talk in another idiom?
In spanish he stills talk in french
Hi! Yes, I played New Dawn in French and Roger has the same Québécois accent he has in English. It even seems he’s played by the same actor, Vincent Leclerc, whose name appears among the other French voice talents in the credits.
As for some of the (Canadian) French words he uses, such as “osti”, “tabarnak”, or “caulisse”, they’re typical slang/swear words from Québec that we don’t use in France, so they kept them in the French version and they sound as funny and exotic as they do in English.
It’s rare that Far Cry characters who speak with a non-American accent end up also having an accent in the French version of the game, but Roger thankfully kept his!

funniest part about people writing self inserts for miguel where he gives pet names in spanish is that miguel in the comics never struck me as someone who uses Spanish regularly if ever... like sure you can blame that on peter david not wanting to use Spanish too much since he's a gringo but also it's easy to think it's cause he spent a lot of his teen years outside of home and he just doesn't have a good relationship with his mom. we don't even see him speaking Spanish with Gabi either

It's been recently discovered that King Phillip II of Spain was......apparently overthrown by a certain Juan Domingo (Master of Espionage and Weaponry)

Because there's a lot of drama right now about whether watching the official Russian release is okay or not, this is an FYI that I will be posting a lot of juicy The Man From Rome content in the coming days using the following tags:
The Man From Rome spoilers
La Piel Del Tambor spoilers
Richard Armitage spoilers
Padre Quart spoilers
Father Quart spoilers
Quart spoilers
Spoilers
So this is just a fair pre-warning to block all these tags in the very immediate future if you do not wish to see any of it (or alternatively unblock these tags if you do?)
If you have a huge issue with me posting gifs etc. of the official Russian release can I kindly suggest you do the tried and true method of spoiler-avoiding by either staying away from my blog for a couple of weeks or possibly even tumblr if for some reason these specific tags are making it into your feed despite blocking them ✨️

Crisis (1950) dir. Richard Brooks
I asked him to have a day of prayer for my health, he said so much: if he is with me, he is against the country, if he is against the country, he is a traitor. I am surrounded by traitors, do you know that, Doctor? All around me--nobody I can trust. Even the savior was better off, out of twelve, only one was a traitor. Whom can I trust, except you?
