Hi' im here just to ask a request lol 👀 is it possible to do a chishiya x reader where they both liked each other but never said anything about it, even if its really obvious. But they still are always together even during most of the game since reader is good at club and spade games while chishiya is good at diamonds and hearts game, so depending on the game: one only supports while the other does most of the work. So this could be during a club or spades game where physical strenght is important, so Chishiya lets reader and other playes to do the "hard work". However, reader encounters their ex in the same game and chishiya starts to get jealous because "why they are so friendly if they are exes?" lol, however, reader decided to get paired up with their ex instead of chishiya and this made him mad (even though he suggested to reader that they should join someone else who is athletic too so they can game faster and finish early, however he didn't expect to find reader's ex in the game). At the end of the game, reader ask their ex that they should be part of the beach but chishiya ended up saying something like: "they arent good enough" or something similar. This makes reader mad and ask chishiya about what is his problem and he ended up confessing his feelings to reader. I dont know what to write next 😭 have a nice dayyy

the amusement park is eerie as you enter. the gate creeks, worn down with use. vines crawl along their sides as if it’s been abandoned for years. the chime of a new player entering catches your attention. he’s wearing a simple white t-shirt and black jeans, shifting anxiously on his feet. you recognize him immediately- keita.

chishiya raises an eyebrow as you walk over to the man. his face lights up, a grateful sigh escaping him. “y/n,” you wrap him into a quick hug before pulling away. “do you know what’s going on?”

you shake your head, stepping back. “no. all i know is there are games we have to win to earn days on our visa.” keita nods, shoving the white phone into the pocket of his jeans.

“registration closed,” the announcement begins.

“come on,” you make your way back to chishiya’s side, keita following behind you.

“difficulty: three of spades. rules: players must reach the exit before the mascots catch them. game clear: players reach the exit without getting caught. game over: the mascots kill all players. there is no time limit.”

keita shifts uncomfortably next to you. “don’t worry,” you whisper. “we’ll be alright.” he gives you a shaky nod before the announcement continues.

“players have five minutes before the mascots will begin searching.” a screen lights up, illuminated by a timer on a white background. you glance at chishiya for a second. he gives you a curt nod, following a group of people around the left side of the park.

keita follows you as you slink around the right side, searching for any areas where the potential exit could be. the night is freezing as you hide behind the rides. “game start.” the announcement chimes. you duck underneath the metal beams of a roller coaster as a tagger wearing a bunny head walks out. they’re holding a crossbow as they walk, scanning around the park. keita’s shaky hand grabs your own as you watch them leave, in search of the players.

it isn’t long before a scream rings out, followed by the whistle of an arrow being shot. the screech is cut short, leaving an eerie silence behind. you flinch a little at the noise, desperate to find the exit. behind you, keita gasps. a woman has her hand pressed against his mouth, motioning for you to stay silent.

“have you seen anything?” she whispers. you shake your head. she removes her hand from keita’s mouth, backing away. “let’s stick together. i think i saw some other people by the ferris wheel.”

you let her lead the way back around to the other side of the park. players continue to be killed off. the whistle of the arrows through the air makes you shiver. keita’s hand stays wrapped around your wrist as you guide him through the park.

pressed against the brick wall of a staff room you can just barely make out chishiya’s silhouette. he motions for you to move closer, gesturing to a back gate over his shoulder. “i think the exit is over there.” keita lets out a shaky sigh, letting go of your wrist. chishiya reaches over to grab yours, pulling you a little closer to him. his warmth feels good against your skin.

“if that’s the exit why haven’t you gone over there?” keita whispers.

chishiya doesn’t answer him, still focused on the gate. he keeps a distance between you and keita. “we could be wrong,” you explain. “it’ll get us killed if we run over there and the gate doesn’t actually lead to an exit.”

“but we’ll die if we stay here!” you bite back an exasperated sigh.

“just trust me, okay?” keita nods, pressing himself further against the wall.

you’re not sure how long you stand there, waiting. your heartbeat pounds in your ears as a tagger wearing a bunny mascot passes. they look at the darkness where you’re standing, staring for a few seconds before moving on. chishiya squeezes your shaking hand. you muster up the strength to gently squeeze back, eager to get back to the beach.

the noise of the gate rattling makes you freeze. a man yells out as an arrow hits his shoulder before he hoists his body over the remainder of the gate. you can just barely hear the noise of his phone chiming. “game clear.”

“shit,” one of the taggers curses. you’re grateful when the sound of something hitting against metal echoes throughout the park, drawing their attention away from you. chishiya doesn’t waste any time once the tagger is out of sight, pulling you along with him towards the gate. you force yourself up and over the fence, reaching down to help pull him up after you. he jumps down to safety before you grab onto keita’s hand, helping him over before you tumble down into the safety of the grass below.

in your pocket, you can feel your phone vibrating. it lights up your face when you pull it out. “game clear. congratulations.” you lean back onto the ground, sighing. keita throws his arms around you, startling you a little.

“thank you,” he whispers. “thank you.” you pat his back before he pulls away.

chishiya holds out his hand to help you up. it’s a comforting feeling to have his hand in yours when you’ve finally reached safety. “we should get back.” you whisper. he nods, intertwining your fingers.

“where are you going?” keita asks.

“there’s a place we’re staying at- the beach. there are other people there. you’ll like it.” you can feel chishiya tensing a little next to you, but you brush it off as nerves from your near-death experience.

“let’s go.”

keita silently follows you as you make your way back to the beach. the walk is long and quiet. chishiya never lets go of your hand, keeping you close to his body. you’re grateful for the warmth, content to lean against him to calm your racing heartbeat.

hatter is more enthusiastic than usual when he greets you, eagerly taking the card before turning to keita. “we haven’t seen this one yet,” he says, flicking the edge of it. he leans down in front of him, staring in front of his eyes. “i’d like to see more of what you can do. y/n, show him a room, please.”

an awkward air remains as you lead keita through the hotel. he opens a random room before flinching back and pulling it closed. “these doors don’t lock?”

“no,” you chuckle. “just pick one. as long as there’s nothing inside you’re welcome to sleep wherever. i stay in room 320. come find me if you need anything.” keita nods, whispering another quick ‘thank you’ before entering the room.

chishiya is sitting on the bed when you enter your own room. you make your way over to sit next to him, letting out a small sigh. “do you know him?”

“who? keita?” chishiya remains silent. “i used to work with him.”

“he seems really comfortable touching you.”

you cock your head a little, shifting a little to face him. “we went out a couple times before i moved to tokyo.” chishiya simply hums, looking away from you. the silence feels heavy for a few seconds. “wait, are you… jealous?” chishiya doesn’t respond but you can just barely see a flush on his ears. you bite back a laugh, reaching over to grab his hand into yours. he doesn’t move away, letting you intertwine your fingers together. “chishiya, you don’t have any reason to be jealous.” you hesitantly reach out to rest your hand on his cheek, turning him to face you. he leans his forehead against yours. “i like you.”

you can see the blush spread to his cheeks a little at your confession. your lips quirk up into a small smile as he looks down at your lips before looking back up into your eyes. “i like you too.” there’s a beat of silence between you before he speaks again. “can i kiss you?” your smile grows as you slowly lean closer to gently press your lips against his. chishiya smiles into it a little, bringing a hand up to your cheek. you wrap your arms around his neck, shifting to straddle his hips. his blush has deepened when you pull away. you lean down to press a peck against his forehead, stroking his jawline.

“nobody compares to you.” chishiya doesn’t answer, instead leaning up to press another kiss against your lips.

so sorry for talking about tacomic discourse even though theres already been a morbillion asks about it and the topic died like a week ago.

my take: as long as you arent glorifying toxicity or presenting a toxic relationship as being good and desirable there is literally no issue?

people act like you can’t write character personalities or plots differently than what’s canonically presented and thats CRAZY. people do it ALL THE TIME with everything else, have you SEEN how many AUs exist??? why is it a problem with tacomic?

like the whole point of writing ship dynamics and making fanart and fanfic is that the characters will literally never act this way in canon (cause object shows rarely have canon ships). as long as you arent shipping illegal stuff theres literally no problem.

and honestly i think i have to have this outlook on it as a floorphone shipper(SORRY FOR BRINGING UP FLOORPHONE AGAIN BUT I SWEAR ITS RELEVANT), otherwise i’d be a hypocrite. basically yada yada mephone wanted sooo badly to get rid of floory in ep 12 but then they end up becoming cohosts, and like their dynamic does a whole 180 canonically because of this. That just proves, yeah, its possible for two characters to be written in a way where their dynamic starts as 🔥enemies🔥 and then they becomes friends or lovers, even. guys the enemies to lovers trope is soo overused but its also soo epic.

but yeah people who act like its impossible to ship something unless the characters were best friends from the very start or never did any harm to one another are actually bonkers. like are we forgetting the fantube divorce? i dunno man the way test tube was acting toward fan was prettyyy toxic. what about sodapack? canonically they’re pretty awful for each other but a large majority of the fanbase continues to ship them (myself included lmao). even fireafy has toxic traits and thats one of the most popular bfdi ships. personally i think a ship is better and more believable when there ARE disagreements or occassional bad things that happen. that doesn’t necessarily make a relationship unhealthy, every relationship will have the occassional ups and downs. thats just how it is. and to act like everything HAS to be perfect or else it’s unhealthy is just. ugh. that makes it seem like no one should ever ship anything ever again.

i know people are gonna be like ‘but taco was only ever manipulative toward mic!!!’ and yeah i agree, but you’re forgetting my earlier point. you can write things differently lmao.

the amount of fanfiction I have written that COMPLETELY IGNORES canon is nuts. guys it’s no fun to have to follow canon to a t, go crazy be silly write the funny fanfic where literally everyone is ooc and the plot makes no sense, i love stuff like that.

anyways this is coming from someone who doesn’t ship tacomic, so it’s truly an unbiased news source.

Any opinion on Red Hood: Outlaws (Webtoons)? I only read the first five chapters and kind of don't like the angry-robin-approach... Thanks in advance!

Hello! I stopped reading it a while ago so 1) my criticism for the comic isn't very fresh in my mind and 2) i don't have the full picture since i only read a handful of chapters, so i wouldnt be able to write a whole essay on it, but who doesn't love giving opinions!

From what i remember i didn't like it either, like i said disclaimer that i stopped reading halfway through and a while ago so maybe my complaints got solved down the line, my bad, etc. but the thing is that i sincerely do not want to go back and re-read it/read all the chapters which should speak for itself 🙏 I found the writing cringy and very superficial, very close to lobdell's rhato which will always leave a bad taste in my mouth. atp i don't care about jason being written as an "angry robin" as long as it has nuance and context, but i didn't get to see those two things in the webtoon so i get you (not to say it wasn't present, just that i literally didn't get there if it was expanded on later lol). What i remember pissed me off was the amount of memes and mcu style jokes in the comic, it felt lazy 🤷 i can text my friend and use 5 viral video references in it but doing the same thing on an official comic? Be serious please, i'm not asking you to become judd winick and give us the next utrh but at least dont steal funny tweets from the internet for a dialogue...

Also a thing i like about jason is that he's a dickhead but fun and charming in his own way and the jason in the webtoon was just boring sorry, if i google "action movies watch online" and picked a random title and pressed play im sure the main character would have the same feel as webtoon jason. AND ALSO! (family guy dad voice) i did not care for jason/artemis. Boring, yawning, sloppy, lazy. very predictable from the go and not even in a fun way, i was over it already and i read like only 7 chapters.

And also a minor detail that i disliked, i hated jason's haircut KJLFG like that pissed me off so badly everytime i saw him without the helmet, put that shit back on.

Anyways, hope that was semi coherent, complaining about the way a comic is written just for the criticism so be terribly redacted is extremely ironic but well, i'm not being paid for it :P

lets hope the shawn martinbrough jason solo gets a date announcement soon jasonbits 🙏

edit just to add that unfortunately i Have been keeping up with it (stopped paying for fast pass v early on tho lmao), and the issues jules mentions above do persist and only get worse as the comic progresses <3 it's all very superficial, doesn't make sense most of the time, pacing is so clunky and writer doesn't seem to know which canon to stick to. jason is very ooc, he's just a dick just to be a dick and not in like a fun cunty way yk ? he's portrayed as uncaring and very like,, incompetent. artemis is ooc too to an extent. like you can't even enjoy it in the way wfa can be enjoyed as a silly little webtoon it just kinda like. sucks.

worrywart. haruka will notice immediately how you almost stumbled on your feet while the both of you were walking to school together and how you were acting kinda,, out of it?

once you guys are by your seats and she sees you acting more dazed, she'll go up to you and place the back of her palm on your forehead only to see that her intuition was correct.

“[name]? your temperature's rising.. do you want me to bring you to the nurse??”

hence here we are. 7 in the morning. right after the first bell rang. in the nurses office. you're feeling the worst you've ever felt but its bearable because haruka's here by your side

although dont expect her to not scold you for neglecting your health!!! you arent slick in changing the topic yk....../lh

she'll have to go back to attend class but she'll come back once lunch break starts!

leaving a glass of water and the medicine the nurse gave her on the table by your side, haruka looks over her shoulder only to see your scrunched up face staring right back at her. she almost let out a chuckle seeing how you were pouting while huddling under the covers. sighing, she says “sorry, i cant stay here for too long since i still have to go back to class. dont worry though, ill make sure to write down some notes for you! just message me if you need anything, [name]. ill come back later with some food <3”

and yup, she keeps her end of the promise and brings you a homemade bento!!! yes, one that she made for you beforehand. you have no idea how she'd know that you would forget to bring your lunch but you try to not think about it too much LMAO

while the both of you are eating together, expect the other mmj members to drop by! haruka told them that you felt unwell so minori immediately sprints to the nurses office (while also completely losing her sense of direction) with airi trying to stop her from startling you while shizuku and haruka are standing like 🧍🧍 ???? (its okay tho bc minori hands you some snacks as an apology while you're there waving your hands frantically trying to tell her to not worry that much)

overall, haruka will try her best to nurse you back to feeling good!!! she suggests the both of you to visit one of her favorite cafes (the penguin one) so that the both of you could study for tests together and also just wind down for awhile.

once classes are over and you're feeling much better, she'll walk you home and give you a little smooch on the cheek,

“next time, tell me if you're not feeling well okay? the weather's been bad lately, so make sure to warm up. love you!”

and then cue her speed walking away all flustered KSJDJSJSJ

just like haruka, an would notice it immediately. she might be chatting your ear off talking about vbs and how her day was going, but don't think that shes not paying attention to you!! nothing can be hidden from her

after a long, tiring week of back-to-back exams, you just wanted to stay in the comfort of your covers all day. you've been staying up late reviewing your notes for the past couple of weeks since you really needed to ace these tests. adding to that, you had to help your significant other with studying aswell, considering how much she was struggling with understanding some of the lessons. though it wasn't that difficult since the rest of vbs were there to help (excluding akito someone save that man), all the pent up stress from school and your other worries ended up with you overworking yourself. which ended up getting you sick.

you didnt think it was that much of a big deal, telling yourself its gonna go away soon enough, so you just sucked it up and continued on with the week

here comes an shiraishi, your lover, asking you out on a date to celebrate your guys' hard work for making it through the exam! you accepted of course, happy that you get to spend time with her again especially with how busy the both of you were

while the original plan was to go outside and visit all the shops around vivid street, when she realized that you had a fever, she threw that plan out and insisted on just staying inside

let her take care of u!!!! she isnt going to take no for an answer. expect her to be clinging on you for a little while

since it was early in the morning, your parents already left for work so she's gonna take matters into her own hands and make you some food

she's really sweet!! she understands how much the stress has been affecting you, so she'll definitely try to find ways to get your mind off of them, even if its for a little while

oh she knows. she noticed before you even realized that something was off. but she doesnt know how to approach you about it

it doesn't take that long for her to make a choice though

checking her surroundings to make sure no ones there, mafuyu walks up to you, tugging on your sleeves to catch your attention. “[name]. slow down for a bit. dont...overdo anything.”

the confused look on your face made her explain that she noticed that you looked tired lately, and with all of the upcoming tests, she assumed that you felt stressed about school

disgruntled by the sudden confrontation, you end up venting to her about the amount of stress your parents have been putting onto you, plus with all of the other thing you've been struggling with

while mafuyu might not know how to give out the best advice, she'll listen to you. she knows the feeling of being pressured into accepting something unwillingly, so she's going to try and be there for you, even if it might not seem like it. SHES TRYING HER BEST OKAY THATS ALL THAT MATTERS

with this, she would convince you to stay at home for the next few days until you feel better. she wont be able to spend as much time with you (bc her mom is- [TRAIN PASSES BY] ), so for the rest of the day she'll try to stick by your side until you guys have to go home!

past noon, the scarlet-ish sky indicating that the suns going to be down soon. the bell already rang awhile ago, but mafuyu got called over to finish some stuff troubling the committee she's in. she told you to go ahead since it would take her awhile to be done, but you ended up waiting for her anyways. though that might've not been the best idea.. here you are hunched up on the bench, temperature rising with a really bad headache hitting you at the worst time ever. “i should've stayed at home today...”

god heard your prayers and thought "okay i guess thats enough suffering" and boom mafuyu comes out of the room finished with whatever she was doing

turning your head, you see your lover blankly staring at you. a few seconds pass. then that turns to a minute, both of you having a staring contest. eventually, its broken by her asking you why you're all hunched up and you mumble out a response, “nothing.... im just having a headache but it's nothing too bad.” cue her getting some kind of cold-compress for you (out of nowhere???????) and her suggesting to walk you home

the walk there was quiet, but it wasnt awkward. if anything, it was the opposite. you felt at peace and happy at the fact that you got to spend time with her. also, its not like you didnt notice how she discreetly took your hand in hers. not at all hehe

anyways, 10/10!!!!! while it's unlikely, she might try to visit you once her mom's attention is onto something else, but even if shes not there to b with you physically she'll talk to you over the phone while shes coming up with lyrics for the next niigo song :]

this will be very long and just my brief opinion on sakuatsu. if you disagree or don't want to read thats fine.

first off i'd like to say neither my requests or commissions are open so sorry about that. but more over this response is really just an excuse to air out my opinions on sakuatsu as a ship.

i dont think sakuatsu would ever have a baby. even though I know its popular for people to draw them with a baby i personally would never draw them having one and see it as out of character. i drew matsuhana with a baby because i find it believable as they both have ordinary jobs (or lack of one).

tbh i very much dislike how most sakuatsu is portrayed in the fandom. i think it works as a ship, but i find my opinions of how they operate much different than the common sakuatsu fanworks. i don't see much sakuatsu works, in fact i actually i avoid most, so maybe its a little skewed to say its different then common depictions as i don't see them enough to decide whats common. what im trying to get at is that i find most sakuatsu works i come across as ooc, such as sakuatsu having a baby.

they both are professional athletes who spend all their time thinking or practicing volleyball. they would not have time to tend to a baby nor would whoever you want to mpreg (if thats the route you chose for them having a baby) have time to be pregnant. i also think its a bit of a misread of atsumu as his entire character is loving volleyball more than anything. for him to give that up wouldn't make sense without it having to be ooc. when it comes to sakuatsu as a whole i feel as though people forget that sometimes someones true love doesnt have to be a person nor do peoples romantic relationships have to be the sappy lovey-dovey kind. sakuatsu to me would be a relationship rooted in understanding that both of them come second in each other life, with volleyball coming first. (well in atsumus case, sakusa just does things to feel satisfied and in this instance its to be good in volleyball.)

if you enjoy ooc works and creatations i wont stop you nor am i going to say its inherently wrong to enjoy yourself. but for me its hard for me to really appreciate those kinds of works because to me it's sort of erasing what made a character so charming in the first place.

everytime theyve broken up before (on and off slay) it's by shintaro and ayano ends in dramatic tears while shintaro is just like angrily pacing around his room. when AYANO dumps him this time and for good, shintaro is in tears. he's such a mess. takane who's been comforting ayano each and every single time shintaro has made her cry and per her request playing this crazy relationship therapist, goes to her fully intending to do it again. like fully intending to comfort her and talk some sense into her thinking theyre just gonna get back together like always. but this time ayano isn't crying at all, she just breathes in relief and talks about the huge weight she got off her back. and takane's like ...ohhh... this time it's different.

usually, the procedure would be ayano sobbing to takane BWAA PLEASE TALK TO HIM and then takane going to yell at shintaro but this time it's SHINTARO who's like. PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU TALK TO HER.

shintaro on the other hand is such a mess. sorry to bring takane into everything💖 but having him sob in her arms is like the icing on the cake bc his thing with her is not THE problem but one of the (many) problems and shintaro REALLY doesn't learn. he is despaired over ayano and crying on takane again, just like back then. and he loves it in an insane way. because this is so comfortable. this is familiar. it is so so painful. he is so heartbroken but it is so familiar. its not more painful than having ayano by his side because ayano's company terrifies him. her survival is one in its kind in all the timelines, and it has been so terrifying to see something new after seeing the same for so long. especially because the something new is her going out with him of all things?? he has so much regret and self loathing and guilt and FEAR OF LOSING EVERYTHING BC NOW ITS NEW AND IT'S NEVER BEEN NEW AND THAT'S SO SCARY to work through that he cannot enjoy it, he's terrified of it instead and acted the way he did essentially so it'd end the way it'd end. and yeah he's whining about wanting her back and he really does but it's like... you know, the same as back then. lol.

so like ayano, he is also relieved. but in totally different ways. does that make sense. erm. hehe

In the 478 episode when Naruto and Sasuke in this space in the middle of life and death they go through some memories and when they see themselves as little children alienated by the whole village, after some dialog Sasuke says "You called me your brother... in that sense perhaps we were". To which Naruto replies: "You totally wrong! Damn it! You don't understand, do you?" Shoves him and runes away. I know this wasn't in the manga, but I'm was wrapping my head around it and I cant find any expiation that is not Naruto saying that their bond is far from being brotherly and being annoyed that Sasuke act in denial of their feelings. What do you think? Will be happy to hear your opinion

This scene was totally wrong from Anime's side. And I think it was intentional because they somehow want people to believe that they are Brothers by using multiple 'Brother' references considering how Gayish the original material was.

And the Studio succeeded in it. Regrettably.

Firstly, Sasuke being in denial of his Feelings is one of the misinterpreted take on his character. If anything, He is the first person to realize that he loves Naruto. Remember That time when he was about to die and his head was filled with every little silly moments he shared with Naruto.????

And unlike Naruto, Sasuke didn't need a Sakura to make him realize these things... He knew it, he embraced it. I would say, Sasuke wanted to severe his feelings badly because he was very well aware that those feelings are coming in his way and distracting him.

Tell me, If Sasuke was in complete denial, then how could he knew that he has to KILL ONLY NARUTO to get his Mangekyou Sharingan and to kill him for his Revolution????

A basic Google search of Denial about Feelings gives you this:

"Denial is an attempt to cope, rationalize, or excuse behaviors in one way or another. It refers to failing to acknowledge an unacceptable emotion or truth. Denial can sometimes seem irrational, but it is used as a defense mechanism against situations or circumstances that are painful and overwhelming."

But you see, this scene is the best example of Denial, imo... Like Naruto was consciously getting aware that his Obsession is wrong (I mean, it was wrong to him)... And it's no more Friendly or just Brotherly... So, to deny his feelings, he immediately deflects it by claiming that he was devising a Plan to date Sakura when in reality he was brain rotting about Sasuke. To Replace an emotion shown towards one person with another one.

This is what you call it as Denial of Feelings.

The Joke is... Naruto, here pompously acting as if he don't deny his Feelings.... LMAO. (Naruto??? Are you sure??? You telling this lines makes me cackle endlessly)

Even after he knew that he will die along with Sasuke, still he acted like he hated that Accidental Kiss 100 Chapters later by voluntarily bringing up that topic with Fourth Mizukage Yagura. Which I talked about it here...

And Sasuke saying "You called me your brother... in that sense perhaps we were".

This is another OOC from Anime's part. Sasuke here seems to be speculating as to whether they are Brothers... or what's between them...

He is someone who knew what it means to have a Brother... He had Itachi for that. But why is he wondering about the nature of their Bond when he clearly knew it was much more than that, way back from Land of the Waves arc itself???

I can see Naruto pulling that Brother card (even though he denied that they are not Brothers in front of Hagoromo) but I couldn't see Sasuke pulling it.

So, I do think that Anime did this because they want to bring the Brothers' Agenda and shove it on our faces again and again. Because Guess what??? Boruto series was being cooked up in the Backburner... And Hinata Wedding Episodes needs to be presented to the Audiences.. They can't afford to make N and S to have a 'supposed' feelings for each other.

I cant find any explanation that is not Naruto saying that their bond is far from being brotherly and being annoyed that Sasuke act in denial of their feelings.

Their Explanation was right, considering what Anime showed us. But Canonically, it's OOC as Hell, for the reasons' I mentioned above.

By the end of Chapter 698, They both come to the realization that they need and feel each other.... They became a Family...

But what role as a Family member that's not brotherly??? That's all left to viewers' interpretation in Chapter 699.

i have mixed feelings about the fact that they left brettsey open-ended and just them in general after the finale that i finally can somewhat put into words so pls enjoy reading my anger <3

after watching the scene over and over again, i came to conclusion that they didn’t break up but just didn’t know where they stand (well that’s how i’m understanding it). no doubt these two love each other but honestly i get it, long distance is so fucking hard. you’re not seeing the person you love everyday. i think it was heartbreaking hearing matt say he wishes sylvie could stay in portland forever, with him (i cried lmao). he genuinely wants sylvie to be there with him and idk i feel like deep deep down sylvie wants that but like she said, her family is 51, her life and work is in chicago (i will get to this below because im so annoyed at the writers lol). you’re 2000 miles away from the person you love. you’ve been pining over each other for three years and suddenly one of them has to leave. but i’ve said this before and i’ll say it again, i still truly believe that if anyone can do long distance, it’s matt and sylvie and i’ll forever keep saying it. aside from that, my issue is with the writers and the writers ONLY. matt literally said in s7 he’s a chicago guy and basically he’s forever going to be a chicago guy. did they forget that? i’m sorry but i did not like the fact that he’s basically saying he found a life in portland and he’s happy yada yada yada. it was completely ooc for me and i just don’t have any words. his family is literally 2000 miles away...there is no one in portland, aside from the boys, that he considers family (like yeah he could have friends or wtv). also, i did not like the way matt reacted when hermann asked when is he coming back (and pls don’t come at me saying it’s probably nothing of whatever, this is how i’m seeing it 💀). i get it, matt is there for three years, he needs to actually settle down temporarily or whatever but idk the way they made it seem like he’s perfect in portland makes no sense to me. it’s as if the writers completely forgot he said he’s a chicago guy (which they didn’t because derek literally mentioned it in the muam interview lol, it’s just…bad writing.) also i still don’t understand what that look between the two of them when matt was hugging violet was. made no fucking sense whatsoever, like his smile literally dropped. i’m convinced that either there are scenes missing in between or it’s just weird ass writing once again. what was the point in matt saying i dont know?? like okay, i get it you cant tell but he didnt even bother reassuring her like he did in 10x05 (someone else mentioned this in my gifset as well). did the writers completely just forget everything that was said between them in the 200th episode? it's like we're back to 9x02 when matt said i dont know, like don't piss me off. when sylvie said its not her life blah blah, i almost think i threw my laptop out the window...everything that happened in s9, everything they've said to each other made it seem like they were it for each other, basically they cant be without each other etc etc, like miss me with that bullshit. haas and co. seriously forgot every single shit that happened between these two characters and are throwing unnecessary angst at them. like okay i get her family and work is in chicago no doubt, but when she said her life..i found it ooc and ill forever hate the writers for it for the rest of my life. this 55 second scene (i waited seven months for them to have a fifty fucking five seconds conversation lmfao) will annoy me for the rest of my life because of how stupid and angst hungry these writers are. i do not know what haas has planned for brettsey. i don't know whether or not they just left brettsey opened ended because they were gonna use hiatus to figure out whats going to happen. i dont know if theyre just gonna have them break up off camera and have sylvie mention that they did. i did not know there was a text limit so i will end it here but i am the number one derek haas anti <3 thank u for coming to my ted talk
