A screen recording of the website thesorryburger.com on desktop. The beginning of the video is the homepage. It is pastel yellow, and all images are in a cartoonish style. There is a logo, which is the sorry burger mascot, a hot dog with a sausage dog where the hot dog sausage would be, and the text "sorry burger". The logo is surrounded by a red oval which has the text "(not actual dog)" in tiny white text. There are a number of other icons around the page, including a party popper, a hot dog with ketchup, the sorry burger manual (a red book with the word "sorry" and a hot dog being electrocuted) and another sorry burger mascot. There is also text which says "Get your own Sorry Burger today!" and "WARNING this website is violently improvised".
The video shows someone navigating the website. First, they click on the icon of the sorry burger mascot, which changes the icon to have fire instead of eyes. A sound file plays in which Charlie Slimecicle growls and yaps like a dog. The person then clicks the "Get your own Sorry Burger today!" text, which takes them to a different page.
This page is an order form. There is a cartoon style drawing of the sorry burger mascot in a van marked "sorry burger". There are two options underneath: "Qty", which has a number that can be increased or decreased, and "Tip", which has a blank text box. The Qty is currently 1 and the Tip is currently blank. There is a box underneath marked "Order Summary", with a table with prices. These are:
The Sorry Burger (1×) - £20
Service Fee - £10
Delivery - £15
The "Non-AI" fee* - £5
The "Emotional Resonance" fee** - £8
Tip - £0
Total - £58
*Your Sorry Burger was made by a human!
**Covers the emotional connection you will feel with your meal
[End of table.]
At the bottom of the table is text written backwards. Translated this says: Tip me the number of times the letter O is displayed on this website!
The bottom of the page is a "Place Order" button.
The person types the number 24 into the tip and presses the button, which takes them to the next page.
The top of the page has the same image as the previous page. There is text underneath which says "You're onto something... Keep looking..." Under that is a photo of Charlie Slimecicle in a red frame, captioned "Employee of the month". There is text next to it that says "Thank you for shopping at The Sorry Burger! We are truly sorry for your experience. At the bottom of the page is a button marked "Return".
The person clicks the photo of Charlie Slimecicle. When they do so, the page background fades from pastel yellow to black and an audio file plays of Charlie Slimecicle speaking in an ominous, excited, low voice very close to the microphone. Some of the audio is slightly distorted from his breath on the microphone.
[Audio transcript:]
[Cackle] You did it. You solved my puzzle. My riddle. You've entered... a special place... a special place for people like me! And now, for people [chuckle] like you. That's right: you've made it! You've made it to BURGER WORLD! [Cackle] A land of wonder and whimsy. And, let me tell you, once you enter burger world, well... let's just say there's no bottom bun. [Wheeze] Now go forth, my friend. You're changed now. Show the world that DOG in you!
[End of audio transcript.]
When the audio ends, the background fades back to pastel yellow. The person recording clicks the "Return button", which brings them back to the page from the start of the video.
