DRUNKEN MISTAKE
where carson finds herself in an unfamiliar place.
WARNINGS: mature content
“Oh fuck!” Carson exclaimed, waking up to see Brian’s sleeping ass next to her. She shook him and until jumped up like there was a fire. “What the fuck happened?”
“Sonny — you scared me. Why did you shake me like that, just get back to bed,” Brian’s morning voice was even deeper than she remembered. She had to snap out of it and more importantly get out his bed.
“We slept together, what was I thinkin’?” She hissed, pulling the sheets up to her chin, ignoring his tender gaze.
They were both naked and yet he was acting like it wasn’t a big deal… when it was a big fucking deal.
He tried to move closer, “It’s okay.”
“This is not okay, nah, this is far from okay.” She stumbled as she stood up, stuck between letting go of the sheet and tossing on a random piece of clothing that was already on the floor, “I was supposed to stay say from you. Do better be better, but I’m so fuckin’ naive god!”
“You’re not naive, you were drunk, we were drunk and it happened. It was good, better than good, great like it always was,” the images of last night that flashed through his head had him grinning like an idiot.
Carson scoffed, “Stop smilin’ this ain’t a good thing.”
“And why isn’t it? You enjoyed it.”
“I didn’t,” she lied.
His face fell, “Bullshit, the way you were screaming my —“
“ — stop it brian —“
“ — name, drove me crazy, hell the damn houseboat could’ve capsized,” he called out as she found her underwear and put it on, and quickly threw the sheet back at him, hoping he would cover up.
But the fucker didn’t.
“Shut up and help me find my shit. This isn’t a good thing. This is so fucked. I fucked the guy who ruined everythin’” she panicked, looking for the rest of her clothes, neglecting to see the anger forming on his face.
“Stop sayin’ that.”
She turned to him, half naked, “What? That you broke my heart, lied and messed with my head just for a job! It’s the truth.”
He stood up, “And you don’t think I’m not payin’ for that? The girl I love looks at me like a villian.”
“Stop sayin’ that,” she hissed, heart racing at his confession.
A year had gone by and he was still claiming he was in love.
“Why? ‘Cause you know that’s not a lie.” He shook his head when she tried to deny the truth, “And neither is this,” he motioned between them, they looked a hot mess, but she was gorgeous beyond compare. “Last night proved it. We might’ve been under the influence but you know it sure as hell was warranted. You wanted me, I wanted you. It was the truth back then and it’s the truth now.”
“Brian…” she trailed off, wanting to avert her gaze but remembered he wasn’t wearing a damn thing.
“Now there’s some shit going on today. I know you don’t wanna get caught up in it. I don’t want you two either but you need to stay with Suki and Tej. I can’t have you gettin’ hurt.”
“More police shit?”
“It’s Verone,” he opted to say, “Monica will be with him.”
“I don’t care about your new piece.”
His eyes doubled in size, “She’s not —“
“— I’ll be gone before she comes back. I promise. Now help me find my shit,” she pushed her braids away from her face as she scanned the badly lit room.
“Carson,” he tried reaching out but she backed away, “listen to me. Nothin’ is going on between me and her, nothin’.”
“I saw the way she was around you,” she huffed, shaking her head at his confused expression.
“And how was that?”
“It was the same way I was,” she confessed.
Monica looked giddy, whether it was steal or not she knew that was the Brian affect.
“But that doesn’t mean I like her. I never did,” he stated, hoping he was getting though to her.
“It was all a job right?” She pressed, and he stupidly nodded, “Like with me.”
“That’s different,” you’re different.
“Sounds the same,” she shrugged, “Just feel sorry for the girl.”
“For the love of god,” his voice rose, pinning her to her place, “Carson it’s not the same! None of this is the same. The only thing that hasn’t changed is my feelings for you. You’ve got me on the hook and you haven’t let me go, believe that. I love you so much, I wouldn’t be able to move on. So no, Monica is Monica. And if she’s flirtin’ with me, I shut it down.”
Carson didn’t know what to say, and that made her angry. Angry because she had dozens of things ready to say when she first saw him, but all that went out the window when she had some liquor in her system. Drinking with Brian used to be fun, and yesterday proved that it still was. But mixing feelings with alcohol was never a good thing.
“Okay.”
He reeled back at her response, “Okay? Just okay, after all of that?”
“What do you want me to say?” She rolled her eyes, “Brian you’re not wearin’ clothes, which means we’re not supposed to be havin’ this conversation.”
He tutted, “Fine, later, we have the conversation you’ve been avoiding fully dressed.”
“Don’t I get a say?” She threw out of her arms.
“I’m not gonna let you avoid it anymore. We’ve been going back and forth for months. And I’m not lettin’ you slip through my fingers again.”
The sincerity in his eyes made hers soften.
“You won’t stop tryin’ will you?” She breathed out, as he grabbed some boxers from the ground and put them on.
“Never,” he admitted, smiling slightly now he was getting through to her. “Shit will be goin’ down later today. So I promise when this shit with Verone is done for the day, we’ll talk. No alcohol, no sex, just talk.“
She raised a brow, “Just talk?”
“Just talk,” he promised, closing the distance between them.
She could feel the heat radiate of his toned body. She wanted to sneak a peak but she couldn’t give that easily… again.
“Okay,” she agreed, biting her lip.
“Good.” He wore a shit eating grin, “Now, you wanna come back to bed or you leavin’?”
It was 6am and she sure as hell wouldn’t go out at this time, not in Florida, nor would he let her so she nodded.
She bit on her bottom lip as she looked him up and down, “I guess I’ll come back to bed.”
He lowered back on to the bed and teased, “You want another round to help you sleep?”
“Shut up, you ain’t that good,” she snorted, falling next to him.
He laughed, “Now, who’s the liar.”

REUNION
Tumblr media
“DOMINIC, what the hell is this?” Was the first thing Carson said, glaring when she noticed Brian walk into the the room with her godbrother.
She hadn’t seen him in years, even in Miami she managed to avoid him despite being friends with both Suki and Tej. He knew where she was and despite the many times he tried to get in touch with her, she stayed away. His betrayal was like shrapnel and seeing him right now, the falling pieces felt like slices on her flesh.
“Carson, listen.”
“No, what is this? Why is he here,” she hissed, cutting off Dom’s attempt to soothe the situation. “He’s a fed Dom, or did you forget that?”
“I’m not the enemy,” Brian spoke for the first time, earning another harsh glare. It hurt to see him look at him in such a way. It brought back all the memories of her after finding out he was a cop. It was agony then and it’s heartbreaking now. “You can trust me.”
A bitter laugh escaped her.
“You gotta listen to me,” Dom stepped forward, “it’s not about him. It’s about Letty.”
“What did he do?” Carson scowled, “did he play a part in all of this? Did he hurt Letty?”
Dom run his hands over his face, “Jesus.”
“You think I would do that shit?” Brian stressed, his heart clenched at her accusation. “I would never hurt Letty.”
“Well she’s gone,” Carson replied, voice breaking. She turned away from him and looked to her Godbrother. “She’s gone Dom. Mia and Keelie are coming soon. I doubt they wanna see him here.”
Brian didn’t know what to say. She was as beautiful as ever and she hated him. Understandable. But the situation was bigger than them. Braga was bigger than them.
“I like your hair,” he blurted out, taking the squabbling Godsiblings by surprise.
His eyes assessed every change to her face and body in the last 5 years. She wasn’t the smiley person he once knew and of course he was partially to blame. She wasn’t wearing pink, not even in her accessories, it was all black. She made it work, how could she not? It was Carson. The woman who used to be his.
She uttered, “It’s a wig.”
“Still…”
She scoffed, “Nice chat.”
She went to leave the room but a hand reached out.
“Sonny wait.”
She swivelled on her heel, jabbing a finger I his chest, “Don’t. I mean this in the most threatening way. If you ever call me Sonny again, I’ll drive your little fed badge so far up your ass you’ll be breathing copper for the rest of your life.” Her threat had his eyes doubling in size. Dom stifled a laugh in the corner of the room. “Cool? Cool.”
“Carson you need to chill,” Dom tried despite himself.
Carson shook her head, stepping away from the blonde, “I don’t gotta do a Goddamn thing. You brought him here, ‘cause he claims to know what happened to Letty? It’s on you if you believe that but I don’t. He’s a snitch, he’s a liar and he fucked up our lives.”
“You don’t gotta get along,” Dom paused, “but we need you.”
“Bullshit.”
“You think I would’ve bring him here if I knew how bad it was gonna hurt you? You’re my sister. Just like Mia. I don’t want anything to happen to you. Not like what happened to Letty. Braga is the target not O’Conner. Once it’s done you don’t gotta see him again.”
She didn’t say anything for a minute, reluctantly taking everything in he said. She didn’t know what to do. It hurt to be around Brian. He broke her heart. The family was split. Jesse was gone and she couldn’t let anything happen to the people she loved.
Not anymore.
“Carson c’mon,” Dom’s voice dragged her from her thoughts.
“Sonny…” Brian regretted speaking the moment her hand launched out and collided with his face. “Shit!”
Dom didn’t say a damn thing and let her walk off.
“I’m in, but tell buster to stay in his lane!” She called out.
Brian rubbed on his blotchy cheek, turning to Dom who shrugged.
“You’re lucky all you got was a slap.”
a/n:
I was bored and decided to write their reunion. Obviously 5 years has passed so our girl has changed. I was thinking about making it into a 3 parter. Them meeting again, then Carson and Brian getting back together and the last would be their ending, considering I’m not doing the other films.

5. FIRST DATES
WARNING: MATURE CONTENT
Tumblr media
"HOW'S this look?"
Carson stepped out of her room, to show off her date fit. Her hairless legs were the first thing that caught Keelie's attention, her fine v-neck strappy rose-coloured dress was the second. The material accentuated her curves, her stud earrings and cross necklace were perfect accessories. Her relaxed hair was brushed and slicked up in a bun.
She wanted her makeup to look as natural as possible even though glitter coated her eyelids and she had on more lipgloss than usual.
"You lookin' to get some tonight right, how long has it been?" Keelie finally said after picking up her jaw from the wooden floor.
"Shut up," Carson denied, despite wearing her favourite and most scandalous lingerie beneath the dress. "Just 'cause you gotta girl you wanna mock me." She murmured, picking up her sandal heels.
"But for real, you look fine. He's gonna have a heart attack," Keelie cackled, amusing her friend.
Carson winked, "Not before he gives me some."
"I know that's right."
"Where's takin' you?" Keelie questioned, sitting down on the sofa, trying to get all comfy for her night in.
"Cha Cha Cha."
"Cute, he payin'?" She instantly received a deadpan look from Carson, who picked up a bag that matched her shoes.
"I wouldn't be goin' if he weren't. Please I've messed with broke boys before, never again. Brian has a car, money... well as much as me and is easy on the eyes," Carson listed, adjusting her dress.
"But that name..." Keelie said wincing.
Neither of them was the biggest fan but oh well.
"I know, but pet names exist," Carson joked, rolling back her shoulders.
"Thank God, imagine moanin' Bri –" A knock at the door cut off Keelie. "Speak of the blonde devil and he appears at our door."
Carson calmly shuffled over to the door, ignoring her friend's giggling and pulled it open, revealing a beaming Brian whose smile only widened when he saw her.
His eyes dragged from her stunning face to her shoes.
"Like it," Carson showed off her fit, whilst holding onto the door.
"Do I like it?" He gushed, "Shit, it's better than I dreamt."
"You were dreamin' about me? Do I live in your head rent-free?" She flirted, allowing him to come into the house but his hand caught hers on the way in and didn't let go.
"Maybe."
She bit down on her lip, "Maybe huh?."
Keelie gagged from the sofa, though, couldn't help but think they looked very good together. His simple yet effective style complemented the pink that always clung to Carson.
"Eww, get out already, I have a Project Runway marathon to watch," she feigned disgust, turned away and picked up the remote.
Brian didn't even mean to ignore Keelie but his girl — correction Carson, was right there. He nodded at the spunky girl who mockingly smiled at him.
Carson called out behind her, "Call Mia or somethin'."
Keelie groaned,  "Have a nice night, look after my girl Ben Affleck, and wear protection!"
__
Once they got to the restaurant, Brain pushed in her chair, then rounded the table and sat opposite her. They each ordered their food and sipped on their drinks, waiting for it to come. The place seemed to be busy and booming but the paid paid no mind to the noise, the way they lived prepared them enough.
"So how is it, anyways that the — the gang came to be?" Brian asked, wanting to know more about them.
Of course, he wanted to learn Carson, he was already captivated by how she carried herself, how she spoke, laughed and pretty much everything else. Even on the drive over she teased him, pretending to grab the clutch when he was busy being distracted by her beauty. Usually, he was a focused guy but around her... it was different.
"The what?" Carson let out a laugh as she took another sip of her water.
His brows furrowed, "The gang."
"The gang? No, we don't call ourselves a gang."
He leaned forward, "Well, what do you call yourselves then?"
"We're a team. They call themselves a team. Well, I'm sure you've heard me say crew, but just say team."
Brian leaned forward on his elbows, "All right, so how is it that the team came to be?"
"It's a long story."
"I've got time." A smile burst onto his face, waiting for her to tell the story.
Carson sucked in a deep breath, "Well, I never knew my mom. My dad raised me before he got sick..." she trailed off, always finding it hard to talk about her father's illness.
"Hey, you don't have to go on," he gently grabbed her hand from across the table, making her heart flutter.
He reassured her and so she slightly changed the topic.
"My dad spent years workin' at F1 for a while before meetin' Jack Toretto."
His eyes comically widened, "Damn, F1?"
She nodded along, "Yeah, he kept a few things, the toy cars and all that, but most importantly all the skills he learnt stayed with him. He helped Jack with a few things, whilst I was teethin' in the garage. The Toretto siblings looked out for me."
"So they're your family," Brian never realized how close she was to them, it made him think.
"Exactly, since I was in diapers, explains why my Dad made theirs my godfather, vice versa."
"What about Vince? You're close with him right?" Brian went on to ask, only letting go of her hand when their starters were placed on the table.
He missed the feeling, so did Carson, but they had to eat at some point.
"He and Dom were childhood friends. So he saw me like a little sister," she explained and caught the scepticism flash through his sparkly eyes.
"Just a little sister?" He pressed, picking up some plantain from his small plate.
"Yes, just a little sister," she repeated, but it was clear Brian was highly cautious around Vince, "Letty was a different story. We were friends before she caught Dom's attention. She was always into cars. Ever since she was, like, 10 years old. So naturally, you know, Dom always had her attention. And when she turned 16..."
"...She had Dom's attention." Brian finished her sentence and took a sip of his drink.
"Yep," Carson had to look away from him for a second, his smile had her weak in the knees.
It was a good thing she sat down.
Brian asked after chewing on another piece of plantain, "How is it that Jesse fits into the whole thing?"
"Jesse?" Carson repeated, smiling toward the waitress who placed the rest of their food on the table. Brian could see how happy she was with the food. "Well, Jesse and Leon just sort of showed up one night and never left. Like little weeds. Don't get me wrong, I love them. Jesse's like my annoying older brother and Leon is like that cousin who appears everywhere."
"And Keelie, one of my main tormentors?" He humoured.
She chuckled, "She's like my twin. Only older by a year but she got me through a lot, even got me a job at the salon straight outta graduation and let me stay with her."
Brian hummed in acknowledgement, eating his main course, realizing how much Carson had been through even if she didn't say it. Her smile tended to conceal a lot and whether or not it was real, he knew she was a fighter and the team was her family, who fought alongside her.
It made him question a lot.
"So that's your story?" He asked, half of their plates were in their stomachs.
"Yeah, and now it led me to you," she playfully jabbed her forward in his direction.
"Mm-mmm." Brian hummed in disagreement. "No. No." Carson cocked her head to the side, wearing a confused look that he thought was cute, "I think we would've met regardless, would've made sure of it."
She blinked in shock, "You would've?"
"Yeah, Sonny."
The nickname fell from his tongue so effortlessly that she almost missed it.
"Sonny?" Carson repeated, feeling the butterflies in her stomach take flight.
"What, you don't like it?"
Hee face scrunched up her face, doing everything in her power to not look like she was hanging onto his every word but it didn't work.
"It's cute."
"Mmm," he winked at her, then finished most of what was on his plate.
She appreciated he wasn't one of the people who ate with their mouths open or were very messy.
"So what about you, pretty boy? You close with your folks?" She dared to ask, eyes darting to her plate so she missed the alert expression on his face.
"My mom raised me. Dad wasn't really in the picture."
She raised a questioning brow, snapping her gaze back to him, "You didn't know him or...?"
"He would call the cops anytime I came round."
Her eyes doubled in size, shocked to find he looked calm as ever, so she changed the subject.
"Any siblings?"
"None."
She slowly nodded, "That's cool."
Carson noted how short his answers were, but decided not to think about it too much, he's not comfortable talking about his past, she concluded.
"Shit, that reminds me, speaking of families, my dad always wanted to get me some car bling, you know those cartoon sunshine bobble things to hang from the rearview mirror."
"Why don't you get it now?"
"Never know where to find the exact one, and I never have the time," She replied, pursing her lips as ideas popped into his head. The leftover food on his plate got her attention, "You done with your plantain?"
"Yeah, want some?" she nodded, and went to take it but he stabbed his fork into the sweet yet thin delicacy and shook his head, "No, I'll feed it to you," Carson obviously wasn't expecting him to do this. "Open."
After getting over her initial surprise, she ignored the smirk on his face, leaned over and decided to mess with him, by accepting the food, teasing him with a soft moan when she took it in her mouth and even let her eyes flutter for a few seconds.
Brian swallowed the knot in his throat, but that didn't stop the heat from spreading to his cheeks. Fuck, was he flustered, as was she, but she managed to conceal it better.
Carson sensually wiped the corners of her mouth as his fork clattered against his plate.
"Delicious."
Brian sharply exhaled and waved down the waitress, voice coming out a bit squeaky as he exclaimed, "Can we get the bill?!"
__
His mouth captured hers when he pressed her against his living space at Harry's. Their kisses were more passionate than either of them thought, there was a desperate edge to them, needy almost. The drive over to his place was breathtaking, she never felt so safe despite his foot hammering down on the gas pedal.
Carson's gasps and whimpers were music to his ears, only inspiring his hands to move along the flint fabric of her dress and slowly peel it off of her as they stumbled over to his bed, leaving a trail of shoes, her bag, his shirt and pants behind.
Brian's touch was like fresh air, satisfying and she only wanted more. He found every curve, caressing and pinching only drawing more moans from her.
Although neither could see well, the moonlight lit up his bed, showcasing her lingerie, to which he couldn't contain himself any longer.
"Look at me," he demanded, pulling away, resting between her legs, finding the pool of desire he wanted to soak up and consume. Her darkened gaze caught him pulling away her underwear and finding solace between her thighs where he gripped her tighter due to her every moan and kissed after her every gasp. She struggled to keep eye contact but his baby blues were a beacon and his tongue was his tool of pleasure that pulled her closer to her high. He thought that a win was nothing compared to this, not at all. She tugged at his curls, begging for him not to stop and he complied, "God."
It took seconds for her eyes to roll, and her legs to quiver, whilst letting out a silent scream as he stared at her in awe, wishing and needing more from her.
He was relieved of the rest of his clothes as was she, letting her breasts free of the erotic bra and glide against his chest the second he came up to meet her lips again.
She moaned at the taste on his tongue.
"Not bad for a pity date huh?" She playfully groaned at the quip. "You okay?" He wasn't satisfied by her nod, he needed verbal confirmation, "Words."
She shuddered at his demand, "I'm more than okay."
He flashed a smile and looked at her once again. The illuminating moon lit up her brown pools, entrancing him from where he hovered. Just as he was about to take her hands in his, she stopped him.
"No lover boy, get a condom, I swear you wanna trap me, or somethin'."
He licked his lips, still leaning on his arms, "Want me to?"
"Don't — strap up," she practically shoved him away, laughing with him, and although the thought of it was funny, she wasn't ready to be a mom or even sure that she wanted to be one. Brian looked serious after a while, coming back with a condom, he found his place between her legs then he pushed them around his waist as she grabbed onto his biceps. "You good?" She breathlessly questioned after seeing the look in his eyes.
"Have you done — you're not a virgin right?" He cringed at his wording.
She was amused that he was even asking, "No I'm not a virgin."
"I don't wanna hurt you," he mumbled against her lips, ceasing her impending laughter as a warm feeling settled in her chest.
"Oh, well it depends how you put it down," she whispered, and with how he teased her, she couldn't imagine any disappointment. He deeply chuckled at that, glad to receive confirmation and grabbed her hands. With a gentle thrust, Carson sunk further into his bed, consumed by his deep and slow movements, that had her drawing for breath after each moan. "Fuck."
As for first dates, Carson was blown away.

a/n:
soo... the ship has sailed officially. carson was willing to spill everything because she trusts brian, will that come back to bite her in the arse? i mean he was very haste and quick with his answers on the date, it's upsetting because people will call her naive for accepting them but she was being kind.
i think they're so cute and properly one of my fave couples to write out of all my stories.
halfway through the story now. next chapter will be a filler, but i loved writing it. simply exploring her bond with him is just so heartwarming but how do you think it will all play out in the end?

6. HIS AND HERS
WARNING: MATURE CONTENT
Tumblr media
"HOW long have you been up?" Carson rasped, rubbing her fluttering eyes to stare up at him.
He shrugged, combing a hand through his messy curls, "Like an hour."
"So you've been watchin' me sleep? Creep."
Brian started laughing but didn't deny a thing. His sheets rested below his navel and reached over her body. Throughout the night, between their kissing and pillow talk, he received a few phone calls. She thought it was suspicious but decided not to question it, instead asking for a shirt to wear and another for her head, to prevent her hair from getting messy. Luckily he did and gave her a grey shirt to conceal her upper half and one to enclasp her relaxed strands. Brian was obsessed with how she looked in his clothes. Even when he woke up, he just admired her sleeping form.
"You looked peaceful, made me think how much I didn't wanna wake up to you."
Carson was blessing her lucky stars that whenever she blushed, it wasn't visible, but her smile exposed the effect his words had over her.
Brian noticed and attempted to kiss her but she pushed him back, "I need to brush my teeth." she whined.
"I don't care," he hushed her, but she didn't relent, gently pushing him away, unintentionally feeling his toned chest, "Alright, but lemme ask you somethin'."
She yawned, "What?"
"Do you regret last night? The date — pity date or whatever you wanna call it — the kiss or the sex?"
Carson immediately shook her head, stunned by the vulnerability in his tone. Brian was always so cocky, shameless, but not now.
"No, I don't regret it," she caught the questioning look in his eyes, "I'm being real pretty boy. I was actually comfortable for once," she let slip and had his full attention, with him leaning closer and eyes hardening, "Most of the time, I feel disconnected, like I'm not in the moment, just trying to focus on other things. I guess I was never comfortable."
"And you were with me?" he had to be sure.
A bashful smile tugged at her lips, "Yeah."
"Good," This time his lips met her forehead.
"Lemme ask you somethin'," he motioned for her to carry on, "Do you have another family? Like your phone was going off like crazy last night."
Brian let out an awkward chuckle, "I don't, I'm a busy guy that's all."
"A busy guy?"
"Next time I'll keep it off for you, so I won't stop you from gettin' your beauty sleep," He promised, smirking down at her.
"You stop me from gettin' my beauty sleep."
The pair started cracking up, Brian loved the ego boast and brought her closer to him, slipping his arm around her neck, so she could face him.
Suddenly a ring from her phone paused their conversation and when she went to lean over to the side table, she received a pointed look.
"What?" she rolled her eyes at him, not bothering to look at the name when she flipped open her phone, "Yo."
"You still out with the buster?" she sighed at Vince's rough voice, knowing it was loud enough for Brian to hear. The blonde was already glaring at her phone.
"You still in my business?"
Vince ignored her question, "Keke blabbed to Mia, who told Letty, she spilt to Dom and, Jesse and Leon overheard the conversation, they obviously told me."
"I get no privacy, I swear," she mumbled, hushing him but that didn't stop Brian from leaning in to hear.
"I'm worried Summer, I think blondie's a Cop."
Carson felt Brian stiffen and saw his face getting meaner.
"You're crazy."
Of course, she valued Vince's opinion but didn't want it to mess up something good.
"I know you trust him, but I'm not pullin' this out of my ass. How much do we know about him?"
She didn't want to think about it, "Enough Vince, just trust me on this."
She heard him huff, "Fine. Love you."
"Love you too"
The line cut and Brian tried to not seem affected when she turned back to him.
She sat up, "Bri –"
He groaned, "He's actin' like I'm gonna hurt you."
"He's family Brian, don't act like that," she couldn't help but get defensive.
"That guy hates me."
"He's being protective," she reiterated, trying to calm him down, but Brian just shook his head.
"He needs to relax."
Carson sighed, "He knows I get attached way too quickly, I can be naive sometimes and it's like other guys know that, and lie to me until I finally wake up. He just doesn't want that to happen again okay?"
She was met with a wordless nod and a look that she couldn't quite decipher.
Brian knew how protective everyone could be over Carson, hell, Dom threatened to break his neck if he broke her heart.
"But Vince got one thing right," she paused, feeling him tense again, "I don't know much about you."
Brian ran his hands over his face, frustrated that Vince was influencing how she viewed him.
"It's not like I don't wanna tell you," he started, voice cutting up slightly, causing her hand to rub slow circles over his lower back, "I wanna tell you, trust me I do, it's just – I've been through shit and I don't talk about it, ever. It doesn't come easy to me as it does you," she slowly nodded at him, but still wasn't sure, "Hey," he grabbed her hands, pressing kisses to them, "I trust you Sonny, but give me time."
"O-okay."
He let out a sigh of relief, and his lips trailed over her arms, some kisses lingered more than others. Neck kisses were his favourite, it drove them both mad.
Carson gasped, when he softly pushed her backwards, hovering over her.
"Oh shit," she giggled, feeling the crescent shapes on his back, she must've put them there the night before, "Sorry."
"Relax, I like it. It's hot, you're markin' your territory," He chuckled at the look on her face.
"My territory?"
"Yeah, now lemme mark you," he groaned when she pushed him back.
"Careful, you're not puttin' nothin' on my neck, maybe somewhere else," she said squinting her eyes, "Don't need more teasin' if the team see anythin' there okay, you went crazy on my twins last night," she motioned to her blotchy chest, making him smirk. "Ain't you tired?"
"No, and you weren't gentle either, pullin' my hair like I have plenty."
"Oh, these permed strands," she taunted, earning a scoff.
"I don't have a perm," he remembered how his childhood friend constantly talked about his hair as if it wasn't natural.
"You're a shitty liar."
"Yeah sure," he scooted off of her, checking the time, realsiing it was only 10 a.m.
"Spilner," Carson called out, checking her nails as he turned back to her, bringing her into a bare hug, making her squeal, "Didn't know you were obsessed with music," she noted his CD collection among the mountains of Harry's car merchandise last night but was drunk off his affection to ask.
"Doesn't everyone love music," he replied, "What's your favourite song?"
She whined, "It's kinda embarrassing."
He shrugged, trailing his hand over her waist, "Can't be worse than mine."
"What's yours?"
"'Everybody wants to rule the world' by Tears for Fears," he confessed and then she burst out laughing. Brain joined in, loving any and every sound she made.
"By that group in England? Damn, it's not a bad song but it's on theme for you," she bopped his nose before he swatted her hand away.
"Wow, screw you, what's yours? You gotta tell me know."
"'Lover, you should've come over' by Jeff Buckley," she mumbled, scrunching up her face when she spoke.
That surprised him, "Wait really?"
"Yeah, dorky right?"
Brian agreed, finding her choice of music precious and how her nose scrunched whenever she felt awkward, adorable.
"Nah, that's a slammin' song my mom was obsessed with him," he blurted, surprised he was telling her more about his background.
"I usually just tell people it's an Aaliyah song, don't get me wrong I love my girl," she gesticulated, "but the way Buckley sings that song just does somethin' to me."
She even had his last album in her car, she would play it whenever she felt down, well that was before her stereo stopped working.
He slowly began to grin, "Oh yeah like what?"
"Make my heart flutter I dunno," she trailed off recognising the look in his eyes as he leaned in.
His nose nudged hers, as his hand caressed her face.
"This makin' your heart flutter?"
Carson wordlessly nodded, letting her lips finally connect with his.
___
Brian eventually took Carson downstairs to Harry's to pick up some new rims and a new Stereo for the car, Jesse said he was gonna help her with some of the mechanics the next day in preparation for Street Wars whilst she bought the paint but wanted to apply it on her own.
After that, they took a detour and went back to her place, luckily she didn't have work on Saturdays and he didn't have to help Dom for another hour or two.
He didn't let go of her hand when they made it back into her apartment and jumped into the shower alongside her, claiming that he wanted to save water.
He left her after 10 minutes and when he entered her room again his eyes wandered around, pink and black themed as expected. Pictures of the team cluttered parts of the walls, some of Keelie and a few of whom he believed to be her dad. He caught the similarities, softly smiling at the framed picture of her when she was a kid looking up at her dad with a toothy smile, she hasn't changed, he thought.
"Still creepin' I see," she said, returning to her room, fully clothed in a fit he couldn't help but lick his lips at. The blonde still had to put his shirt back on but she wasn't complaining.
"You looked cute."
Her grin faltered for a second, seeing what was in his hands but she recovered quickly, "Well it's me what do you expect?"
Brian put the frame down and approached her, "You look beautiful."
He checked her out a couple of times, before kissing her.
"We should go, do somethin' before you leave," Carson went to take his hand but he latched him onto her exposed waist.
"Baby, I think we should relax for a second," he said lowly, pulling her to his chest. "Just like we did in the shower."
She was cheesing like crazy. "You callin' me baby now?"
"Get used to it," he grinned, "So what do you say? Wanna relax?"
"Only for 20 minutes," she squealed when he untied her bandana tee, letting it fall to the floor.
His tongue swiped against his mouth, "30."
Carson breathlessly agreed, "30."
They didn't leave her room for an hour and when they did they met with an annoyed Keelie who was in the living room glaring at the pair... couple? Who knew?
"Shit I didn't know you were home," Carson neglected to notice the keys out in the bowl by the door.
"Shut the salon earlier, wanted to get some sleep, but damn, and next time you wanna rock the bed, give me a heads up," Keelie cast a sarcastic smile and picked up the remote.
"Oh god," Carson's hands concealed the embarrassment on her face, she felt Brian laugh from beside her.
Keelie tutted, "Nasty people."
"Sorry, Keke!" Brian couldn't stop laughing, "We didn't ruin your Project Runway viewin' right?"
"Get outta here."
"We can't stay?" Carson whined, pulling Brian onto the couch with her. Keelie sighed with a smile. "He wants to stay a while."
"I bet he does " Keelie resumed her programme, ignoring how the blonde wrapping an arm around her friend. He was all up over her, kissing and whispering things in her ear. "If you're gonna stay, keep that nastiest to yourself." She jabbed a finger in Brian's direction, "I'm talkin' to you, Kevin Costner."
"Yeah, I'll try," Brian chuckled.
"We gotta bounce, in 20 but I gotta know who's makin' the cut this week," Carson said, watching the show.
The vibe was tight, they were all getting along and even Keelie and Brian refrained from cursing the other out.
The Dixon woman could see how infatuated they were with each other. The touches, the smiles, the looks. It was straight outta some romcom she couldn't stomach seeing.
But all that ended when they got up, said their goodbyes and left.
___
The wind blew through the windows of the truck Brain drove, moving a few of Carson's relaxed strands making her tuck them behind her ear as she checked herself out in the mirror. She glared when she caught a few love bites on her neck but he cockily smiled at her and drove a bit faster.
His right hand rested and occasionally squeezed her thigh, he knew it drove her crazy so he kept doing it. She's sensitive and responsive, he concluded that last night and did everything to learn her body, her quips, charms, the shit that made her tick and smile.
"You think Dom's gonna flip if I'm late?" Brian wondered, glancing between the open road and Carson.
She turned to him, "Not if you say were with me. Besides, he gets distracted with Letty sometimes."
He pulled a face, "You don't distract me. I wanna give you my attention."
He stared at her a bit longer than he should've, there was no traffic but so wasn't so trusting of LA.
She nudged him, "Keep your eyes on the road, pretty boy."
He sped up, "You scared?"
Carson shifted, the hand resting on her thigh tightened and everything blurred around her.
"No, I'm not scared," she replied, lying her ass off, locking her eyes with his.
"You trust me?" He asked, remembering when she said the same thing the night of her win.
"I do." Carson wasn't lying this time, she really did trust him.
He pulled his hand off her thigh and shifted gears, pressing his foot down harder on the gas.
His eyes deepened into hers, he didn't dare to take his eyes off of her.
Carson's heart was practically beating out of her chest, from his wild stare and the adrenaline pumping through her veins. He kept going faster and faster and faster, it's like she was walking on clouds... a very dangerous cloud but she felt serene.
They abruptly came to a stop at the red light, making her laugh into her hands which put a smirk on his lips.
"Fuck..." she couldn't believe what happened, "Who taught you that?"
"You questionin' my game?" Brian caved at the pointed look he received, "An old friend." Roman, Carson's heated stare made him raise a brow, "What?"
When the lights turned green he drove around the corner.
"Park up," Brian complied at her request, knowing this was going.
The moment the car stopped Carson didn't hesitate to climb over the gear stick and onto his lap, straddling him.
With one hand on her waist, Brian quickly put on the stereo before, looking up at her with a satisfied grin.
"That got you going huh?" he joked, glad he pulled up onto a vacant street.
"For once, don't talk," Carson hushed him, pulling off her top and combing her hands through his curls. Brian looked at her like she was a goddess, eyes hooded and lips parted, "Watch me as I make you two hours late."
As her hands moved further down his torso a song started to play, Differences by Ginuwine. It boomed through the speakers pulling the couple further into their sensual bubble.
Dom would have to wait.

a/n:
oooo, they're taking it!
no, but seriously, i loved writing this chapter. it was chill and laid back, well apart from vince's warning and the fact everyone was gossiping about them. i mean you can't blame vince for being protective but carson doesn't wanna listen right now. she's eating pasta and lobster... so why would she?
also, her car's getting there. all the changes will be done soon and I'll make sure to leave a link to what i imagine her car will end up looking like.

Hey girl, I was just scrolling through TikTok when I saw this cute bracelet idea for Brian and Sonny, let’s imagine that she would make it for him after they did the deed. And even after she left, he wore his!!! -🐜
https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeyuWDr3/
MATCHING
where carson convinces brian to get matching bracelets.
___
Brian jumped when he heard his girlfriend squeal as they were walking between the many market stalls. It was a particularly humid day and they decided to make the most of it. Brian knew she wasn’t hurt, since they’d been dating for a while, he was aware of the differences between the noises she made when she was happy, sad, hungry or mad.
“Bri look,” she tugged on her hand and his gaze followed hers to a bracelet stall. A woman sat extending her hands to showcase the variation of colours, beads and threads. “It’s only 20 bucks for two, we could match. And there’s a magnet to link it together.”
The woman grinned as she awaited his response and judging from the pout on Carson’s face, he wasn’t going to say no.
“Alright, we’ll take two,” he grinned at the excitement flooding his girlfriend’s face. They had time to waste before they went back to Dom’s where another party was being thrown. “Pink and white for her and Blue and white for me.”
“Aww you guessed correctly,” Carson pressed a kiss to his cheek.
The girl loved pink.
The woman was quick to ask, “What are your initials?”
“C,” Brian motioned at the Baker racer, then pointed to himself, “B.”
The woman nodded at the couple and started on her work. She gathered the shades of pink, then added white and threaded them onto half of the matching bracelet, topped it off with the Carson’s initial, before doing the same to Brian’s with blue and white.
5 minutes later, Brian was pulling out a 20-dollar bill, thanking the woman who happily handed over the bracelets.
“Enjoy,” she said, content with her sale.
Brian helped Carson put hers on without question, “Yeah, it’s tight.”
“Blue is your colour,” Carson then helped him, ecstatic with how they looked and complimented their outfits. Of course, she was already wearing pink and he was sporting a navy blue t-shirt and some jeans. “Baby look.”
The magnets pulled on each other, forcing each half of the bracelet to collide, forming a small star and putting a smile on their faces.
Carson happily squealed and kissed him.
“Come on let’s bounce, everyone has to see these,” she couldn’t wait to show them off to the group.
Brian was slightly more apprehensive.
“You know the guys are gonna tease me for this?” He said, snaking his arm around her neck as they started walking through the market stalls again.
“Well you can either be teased for this, or you can not wear it and not get any for a week,” she pondered, knowing it was getting under his skin.
His eyes widened, “Hey, I never said I didn’t like it.”
“Yeah yeah,” she playfully rolled her eyes, as she smiled at the bracelet, “Thank you again.”
“You want something, I’ll make sure to get it for you. No matter what.”
She giggled, “I know, I love that.”
“I know you do, now let’s go for a drive.”
brilliant idea, thank you for suggesting it was so cute!

1. fast girls

WARNING: VIOLENCE
Tumblr media
"GIRL, we live together and you still arrive late, what is wrong with you?" Keelie stressed, seeing her close friend speed walk through the nail salon, from her post.
To say she was mad was an understatement.
Carson huffed, "'Cause you be usin' up all of the hot water."
"Just shut up and pick up the phones," Keelie nodded to the counter where the phones had been ringing throughout the hour.
"Sorry," Carson winced, rushing over, greeting the other workers and customers, before dropping her bag by her station and picking up the blaring phone, "KeKe's nail salon... oh hey girl..."
Carson worked at the nail salon as a receptionist. She didn't do people's nails, but she never passed up the opportunity to be pampered whenever her close friend offered to do it for free. She loved sketching out designs, sometimes for customers, but when she had time for her passion in life she spent hours shading for cars for other drivers. A girl's gotta make a buck somehow. She loved her car – a black Dodge Charger Hellcat – a gift from her recently deceased father Daniel Baker. The car was her baby, but like a child, it needed nurturing. She was obsessed with pink, everything she wore was pink, so she wanted her car to match, whether it was small patterns, leopard print or stripes. She just wanted it done and dusted. New parts were expensive, so she worked at her best friend's establishment.
Throughout her shift she did her rounds, checking in with the regulars, laughing and joking about the things going on in their lives and ranting about the stuff that provoked their problems. Most of it was all the same cause... men.
Luckily she didn't have that problem at the moment.
Carson was known for having the brightest smile and it went with her eccentric style, which was where she copped her nickname; Summer. Very rarely was the racer sad and if she was, everyone was out for blood, especially her godbrother Dom and the team.
Around town, there were a lot of rules, especially for the different street racing crews, but in Dom's, it was; Do not piss off Summer. And everyone listened, if they didn't, wrenches would rain from the sky.
"Summer," Keelie's voice made her head snap up from her most recent design.
Taking the cherry lollipop out of her mouth, Carson asked, "What?"
"You can go, it's your break."
An hour for lunch, Keelie was an angel for that. Sure, it was blatant favouritism, but Carson didn't care. She was already packing up her stuff and throwing it in her bag.
She did the bare minimum at work, but she was always exhausted.
"I'll tell Mia you said wassup!" Carson teased, stepping out from behind the counter, and receiving a scowl from her close friend.
"Girl, I'll beat ya ass," Keelie warned, pretending to put up her braids.
Carson giggled, "With them slow legs, try me."
Everyone laughed, knowing damn well Carson wasn't a fighter, but she damn sure would cry until she got her way.
Carson pulled up to the auto shop and cafe, fluffed out her relaxed hair and applied some lip gloss. The sound of her engine attracted a pair of familiar blue eyes.
When she stepped out, she readjusted her denim skirt and started walking, after blowing a kiss at her car.
The sun smooched her skin and she let it. She hated looking pale and ashy, and summer in LA was insane, but at least she tanned easily.
She lowered her sunglasses when she came closer, whistling at the young Toretto girl who worked behind the counter.
Mia smirked at the sight of her friend and she wasn't the only one.
"Lookin' hot Mia," Carson winked, purposefully not making eye contact with the blonde sitting on her left as she sauntered around.
"Feelin' it too," Mia chuckled, running a hand through her sweating hair, "but you look good," she always does, "Dom!" she yelled attracting her brother, but Carson was already behind the counter, going into the back and pressing a kiss to his cheek.
"You on a break Summer?" his deep voice drew the daze of the blonde whose eyes darted between the two.
"Would I be here if I wasn't?" she retorted, gaining a deadpanned look.
"Yes," he replied, taking a sip of his corona.
"Yeah yeah," she playfully nudged him and went back to the front, hearing the end of Mia's conversation.
Dropping her bag on the floor, Carson approached.
Mia leaned over and whispered, "He's been askin' for you."
"So has Keke," Carson grinned at the blush appearing on the Torretto girl's face.
"Shut up Summer."
Carson giggled and leaned against the counter where Brian had stopped eating and half-heartedly skimmed through a magazine, though his sparkly eyes never glanced away.
"Still eatin' that stank ass tuna?" she asked, nodding to the half ate sandwich.
Brian shrugged, "It's good."
"And you're a liar," now that made him smile.
Damn his smile, Carson needed to snap out of it and one nudge from Mia did just that.
"Oh, am I?" Brian asked, pushing the plate and his magazine to the side.
"You are, I don't know why you eat it," Carson mused, just as Mia started to clean and listened to every word.
"Maybe I just wanted an excuse to see you," Brian said, tilting his head to the side, grinning when gulped at his confidence.
"Sure," she drawled, not knowing what to say after that.
He was making her feel hotter than the sun.
"A good sandwich and a beautiful girl, not a bad way to live," his compliments were doing things to her.
He couldn't get enough of her smile, her eyes that rose-tinted sunglasses concealed, her style – he never thought pink looked so good –  the silver little cross that hung from her neck and he knew for sure that she could drive.
"You're stupid," Carson murmured and he just chuckled. She started playing with her nails, trying to change the subject, eyes landing on his plate again, "No crust as well, what are you five?"
He raised his hands in defence, "It's a preference." He couldn't stand the crust, it tasted like dirt to him, but the tuna he would tolerate, just for the chance to see the pink-obsessed racer.
"Oh I know, a stupid one."
"Well, I like what I like."
She pursed her lips, "You should be open to anythin'."
"Maybe you should show me," now that made her breath hitch and turn away, much to his amusement.
Mia was laughing to herself, then received a kick from the Baker racer.
Brian only stopped smirking when the sound of cars speeding towards the shop neared.
The blonde silently cursed himself, only five minutes of her time, yesterday was longer, he realised.
Carson finally recovered from the flirting and tried to find a distraction, her bag was over by the corner where she had her sketchbook and pencils, but she was worried if she went over to retrieve it, she would trip and possibly make a fool out of herself in front of Brian's fine ass. Why did he have to be called Brian? Why not something sexier, to match his face?
"Summer!" Leon's voice snapped her out of her haze, "How's my Barbie doin' today?"
Carson frowned at his joke.
"She's a Bratz doll, fool," Jesse even pointed to her top before leaning over and hugging her.
"And that's why Jesse's my favourite," Carson laughed at the look on Leon's face, just before he went to the back.
"That's rude girl," she heard Letty say as she walked past.
Carson winced, "...favourite after you Letty."
Mia waved at the rest of them, taking out some of her schoolwork. "What's up, guys?"
"How you doin', Mia?" Leon asked from the back, just as Jesse and Letty joined him.
Carson peeked at Brian, and they both exchanged another smile before Vince loomed, glaring at the sight, making her sigh, knowing how the macho man was about to behave.
He sat down, ready to antagonize the blonde, who didn't care to look his way, he just kept staring at Carson, who finally took off her shades and placed them on the side.
"Vincent, when you stop pervin', compliment me okay?" Carson heard the snickering from behind her but gained no reaction from the man.
So Mia had to jump in, "Vince," she cleared her throat, "Vince!"
"What?" He looked between the two girls, one frowning and the other irritated.
"Could I get you anythin'?"
He looked her up and down, "You look good."
Mia scoffed, tired of his constant advances towards her.
"Damn, I guess I'm invisible," Carson mumbled.
Brian didn't like the look on Vince's face when he stared at her.
"You always look good Summer," Vince replied, to which she smiled.
He was more of a brother figure than anything but that didn't mean he was blind to the fact she was one of the most stunning girls in LA.
Mia caught the look on Brian's face, was it anger or jealousy?
But she had no time to figure it out, because he suddenly stood up, retrieving the money from his pocket, and placing it down on the counter.
He nodded towards Mia then shot Carson his winning smile, "Well, thanks a lot, Mia. Carson, see you tomorrow."
"Yeah, maybe," Carson called out, watching him take his magazine and walk away.
A sly smirk graced Brian's lips as he walked out of the shop, a smirk that Vince wanted to wipe off his face so he stood up and followed after him.
"There he goes," Carson sighed.
"Try Fat Burger from now on. You can get yourself a Double Cheese with fries for 2.95, punk." They heard Vince spit out.
"I like the tuna here," Brian said, walking to his truck, whilst subtly admiring Carson's car.
His answer made Vince angrier.
"Bullshit, asshole," he scoffed. "No one likes tuna here."
"Yeah, well, I do," Brian said.
And he was suddenly pushed into the side of his truck, face first. Brian swivelled around and swung a fist at Vince.
Mia gasped and immediately alerted her brother, whilst the rest of the crew stood and watched, the guys were highly amused.
"And there goes the neighbourhood," Carson muttered, then turned to bang on the wired wall alongside Mia.
"Jesus Christ, Dom," Mia said, frustrated. "Would you get out there please?"
"Dominic, come on!" Carson stressed, seeing the two men tussle on the ground.
Dom finally got up from his seat, to see the scene.
He looked unimpressed, "What'd you put in that sandwich?"
"Ha, ha, real funny," Mia said sarcastically, rolling her eyes, whilst Carson stifled a laugh.
"It's that shitty tuna Amelia," that earned her a smack to the arm.
"Dom!" Letty said, gesturing towards the men, who were now on the ground.
"Alright." Dom huffed, speeding to break the fight up. The crew followed him out and Carson couldn't help but find a riled-up Brian more attractive, so she took out her cell to text Keelie.
white-on-white crime at the cafe, SEND!
Dom pulled Brian off and pushed him into the car they were beside, luckily it wasn't the Baker woman's or everyone would receive an earful.
Brian raised his hand in surrender, panting as he stared at Dom, "Hey man. He was in my face."
"I'm in your face," Dom retorted. Vince tried going after Brian again but was pushed back. "Relax!" Dom yelled. "Don't push it, you embarrass me!" He then looked towards Jesse. "Jesse, give me the wallet."
When did he get that? Carson's face scrunched up but when she turned back to Brian she could see the sweat coating his angry face. Sexy.
Jesse threw Dom the wallet.
Dom opened and inspected it for a few seconds after finding his ID,  "Brian Earl Spilner." he read, making Crason cringe.
It couldn't be sexy if it tried.
"Sounds like a serial killer name," Dom remarked, then pointed the wallet towards Brian. "Is that what you are?"
"No man," Brian immediately shook his head.
"Don't come around here again," Dom stated.
"Dom," Carson whined, but one look from her god brother had her averting her eyes.
Vince shot her a disapproving look too.
Letty threw an arm around her, whispering "He'll be back."
Brian took his wallet as Dom started to walk away.
"Hey, man you know this is bullshit," Brian called out angrily.
Dom turned around, "You work for Harry, right?"
"Yeah," Brian answered. "I just started."
"You were just fired," Dom said definitively before he walked back into the auto shop.
"Or not," Letty chuckled at the look on Carson's face.
Brian didn't look any better, watching as the crew steadily followed Dom, before his defeated gaze landed on Carson who sent him a weak smile.
What were they gonna do now?

a/n:
i know, hellcats didn't come out until 2015, but they look so futuristic it reminded me of the second fast and furious movie, so i picked this one. plus i love how carson's and dom's cars are similar, both dodgers but made in different years. I'll be describing hers a lot more throughout the book.
how did you like the first chapter? carson is different to my other oc's, she's so much more bubbly and not tormented by any past trauma. family means a lot to her, but she also loves love, not just that, she adores attention and brian gives her so much of it.
i had to show mia some love and it would be cute to see her with keelie since most of her scenes in the first film do show her interacting with brian a lot.
*sigh* all my edits for this story have flopped because of my reposts about world issues, so you might have to visit my account to see any updates guys

Okay girlie I’m never the best at request, but I’m still drunk on Stereo Love, so I was wondering if you have seen the short prequel to 2 Fast 2 Furious, where Brian making his way to Miami, so what about if he is just following her trial. Like using his cop ability to find her.- 🐜
SEEKING HER OUT
brian being a desperate bitch!
___
"Did you get that O'Conner?"
"Got it," Brian replied, holding his phone with his shoulder as he pressed on the gas, "thanks."
"Don't mention it." his ex-co-worker spoke to him, "I mean it don't, the chief is already on my ass, and this could cost me my job. you could get caught. Are you sure she's really worth it?"
Brian caught a brief look at the sign he drove past. Miami 342 miles. Carson had been living here for over a year, he came to discover.
"I wouldn't be risking my freedom if she wasn't would I?"
"Goodbye, O'Conner. Don't get caught."
Brian pulled his phone away and took another look at the address. Florida wasn't Carson's seen and he knew that because he knew her, and he knew that he fucked up, he lied to her for months, and broke her trust and her heart.
And on top of that, he was stalking her... Trailing her - what the police force would refer to it as, but he wasn't a cop anymore. He was on the run, escaping police custody once was one thing, but helping Dom, a known criminal to escape was another. He yearned for normalcy, for the love he could only give and receive from one person.
Carson Baker.
He missed everything about her, but he knew he would be the last person she wanted to see, so he couldn't go to her instantly, he needed a place to stay. Suki was the name of the girl Carson was living with but also the on-and-off-again girlfriend of an ex-street racer he was friendly with.
Brian quickly dialled the number as he went from 50mph to 60mph.
"Yo?" a familiar voice echoed through his cell.
Brian smiled, "Tej man, wassup?"
"Bullit? That you? Haven't heard from you in a minute, you still racin'?"
"Never stopped," Brian adjusted his hand on the wheel of his Skyline.
"Well if you're ever in my city, holla."
Brian hummed, "Do you still have that houseboat?"
Tej quirked up a brow, "Yeah, why?"
"Check it, I need a place to stay. You cool with that?"
"That's cool, but you're gonna have to race, can't keep that talent on the low." Tej chuckled.
Brian couldn't help but smile, "You tryin' pimp me out?"
"Call it whatever you want, but let me know when you've touched down. I'll introduce you to my people."
"I think I know a few people man. Someone in particular."
"Oh yeah, Who's that?" Tej's eyes travelled over to the stylish girl sighing as she worked over the hood of her car. "Suki, careful baby, don't over-exert yourself" Brian perked up at the mention of the girl, "You gotta a woman Brian?"
Brian stiffened, "Had. But that won't be the case for too long."
"I know that's right. Later man."
"Later," Brian ended the call and grinned.
Miami here he comes.
__
i swear in the first two films they had brian sounding so dumb, i can't. I know it was because of y2k but omg.
also yes, i love watching those bts clips of the fast and the furious, it made me stumble on the 2 fast 2 furious prelude and how serious it looked, if even started mika kelly.

JUST DROP IT
brian and sonny have another argument
WARNINGS: angst, brian being a irritated
——
“What’s on your mind?” Carson asked after realising Brian hadn’t said anything for a while. “Is somethin’ botherin’ you?”
“It’s nothin’.” He answered, moving to slump into the couch they sat on as the TV played in the background “Just drop it.”
“It was just a question,” She was taken aback by the irritation in his voice. “You just looked stressed.”
“Well I’m not, so drop it.”
“It’s kinda hard to drop it when you’re bitin’ my head off.”
“Carson!” He snapped, making her flinch. His eyes widened once he realised and immediately went to reach for her but she backed away. “Shit, Sonny, I didn’t mean to snap.”
“No, you’re right,” she rose to her feet, “I’ll drop it.” She grabbed her keys, “and leave you to your thoughts.”
He jumped out of his seat to stop her, “Don’t leave, shit this is your place and I’m just… I’m tired.”
She took a step back when he appeared between her and the door.
Carson scoffed, “Yeah, that’s what you said yesterday and the day before that, but you always snap at me. You’ve been doin’ that a lot recently and I’m sick of it.”
Brian ran his hands over his face, “I know and I’m sorry.”
“And that’s what you always say after snapping at me,” she shook her head, “So I’m goin’ for a drive to give you so time to yourself ‘cause you need it.”
Brian sighed as he let her leave, tutting when the door slammed shut. They were supposed to be going on for dinner later but all he could think about how his cover was closer and closer to being blown and he didn’t know how to tell the girl he was falling for that he wasn’t who he said he was.

"I'M tellin' you Keke, I thought one of them was gonna ruin my car, the way they were swinging', it was so close," Carson had been retailing the events of the fight since she returned from her lunch break. She would do anything to avoid her work.
"You and that damn car," Keke laughed, filing the nails of a customer.
All the other employees listened in enthralled by the story.
Carson shrugged, "It's my baby."
"Yeah, got you so distracted, you forgot to eat on your break."
"I'll get something' later," Carson waved her off, "but seriously, Vince was so mad."
Keelie never liked the man, so she was happy to hear that especially because he always hit on Mia, "Oh really, how mad?"
"He looked like he was 'bout to burst, you know how quickly these white folks turn red," Carson giggled along with the rest of the room.
"As quickly as I snap my phone," Keelie mused, receiving a nod from the woman in front of her.
"Ain't that right," Carson grinned at the noises of agreement from others.
Her story was quickly cut off when the door opened up, revealing a familiar face.
Everyone turned to see the pretty blonde who looked like he ended up on the wrong side of town.
"If it isn't Brian Earl Spilner," he cringed at the use of his name. Carson gestured for him to come over to the counter, and so he did, not before gingerly waving at the older women who gawked at him, "Ladies keep your paws away, he's not a bite to eat."
"He sure looks like it," they heard someone say, making everyone laugh.
"You stalkin' me now?" Carson teased, leaning on her hands as he neared closer with his winning smile.
He rose a brow, "Why would I say yes to that?"
"Well, Jesse did say you sounded like a serial killer so it's not outta the question," he playfully rolled his eyes at that answer, before he noticed what she happened to be sketching.
"These are good," he nodded at her work, making her show off her pearly whites, much to the amusement of everyone else, who watched the interaction. "Is there somewhere we could go to talk?" he asked a little quieter.
Keelie rolled her eyes, hearing him, "You guys can go to the back, but you got 5 minutes and then I'm draggin' you out."
Carson sent her a small smile, then grabbed Brian's hand as she rounded her station.
"I've got my eye on you Elton John," Keelie called out.
Brian glanced back, "Is it because I'm white?"
"No because of your talented voice," she quipped, making Carson pull him to the back.
Brian licked his lips as he scanned her outfit, he hadn't seen it all before because he and Vince were too busy scrapping. She looked good, better than good, then again she always did. Her hand was so soft, contrasting his. Callus' seemed to kiss his whenever he drove.
Carson was a little nervous when she closed the door and dropped his hand, staring at him as he smiled down at her.
The room was cramped, filled with tiny lockers, a mini fridge and a small couch, but the pair decided to stay close to the door. Correction, Brian was so close to Carson that she was practically caged in, she had no choice but to lean against it.
"What did you wanna talk about? You gettin' fired so quickly, must be a record for you right?" she mocked, folding her arms.
His eyes sparkled as he said, "Help me."
"Why do you think I should?"
"Because," he leaned in, drawing a wide-eyed look from her, "You're the reason I'm eatin' those crappy sandwiches every day."
She couldn't help but smile, she was so annoyed that she was. Between his curly hair, dreamy eyes and cheeky grin, how could she not?
"So you admit they're bad and you're stupid for eatin' them anyway," she remarked, trying to shake the heat kissing her cheeks.
"Worth it," he shrugged, not looking away from her.
Although, he came to the nail salon to ask her for a favour, just simply talking to Carson was a bonus. Barbie was another one of the nicknames he heard people call her, and he understood more when she corrected them and said Bratz doll instead.
"What do you expect me to do anyways, hypnotise Dom?" Carson's voice pulled him from his trance.
"Just tell me where the next race is," he didn't ask, he needed to know.
And to her, Brain wanted to prove something.
Carson raised a brow, "And why would I do that?"
"So you can watch me win."
"I'm enterin' that race, you think you can win against me? Dom? You just got outta your trainin' wheels, boy you gotta at least think before doin' somethin' like that."
Carson was putting a lot of money into the race and was hoping to get a lot out of it when, not if she won. The money made from the race would fund the new paint colour, engine, rims and a new stereo.
"Look, if I can win against Dom I get his respect," Brian explained, earning a small scoff from Carson.
"And me?"
"A date."
Carson swiped her tongue around her cheek, "Cute, but it's gonna take a lot more than one win to do that."
He chuckled, "We'll see."
"I guess we will, but give me your phone," she gestured and he started to smirk.
"Already?" he teased, drawing a sigh from her.
"Phone now," she demanded. Brian liked this feisty side of her and didn't hesitate to pull out his phone and give it to her. He goggled at her acrylics, liking the black and pink pattern, knowing she designed it. She typed in her number, called it and then hung up when she felt her phone vibrate, "Here."
Brian took back his phone, smiling when he saw the new contact:
Summer <;3.
"I'll text you the place," she said, pushing the door open, immediately seeing a bunch of women glance away and whisper amongst themselves.
"And I'll be there," Carson wasn't expecting him to kiss her cheek, but he did, "Bye Carson."
His smile didn't falter when he waved goodbye to a dozen women who were eager to wave back as he left the shop.
Carson groaned when she realised how happy she felt and then turned to smug-looking Keelie.
"So... is Justin Timberlake, gonna be comin' 'round more?"
Carson shrugged, "Maybe."
"Oh, he sure is."
"Yeah yeah, and Mia says hey," Carson teased, earning an eye roll.
"Bitch."

a/n:
if you're a fan of my account, you know I'll try and add many filler scenes to books that are solely based on canon because the original dialogue can be quite tedious to read all the time. i want brian and carson to feel brand new and fresh. they already flirt like crazy and we all know how both canon and fanon brian can be when he's interested in someone.
you'll be seeing our girl racing soon. what do you think the outcome of the race will be?

HIJACKED
when carson finds out the truth about why roman went to prison.
WARNINGS: MENTIONS OF VIOLENCE, PRISON AND KIDNAPPING.
“You did what?!” Carson’s scream travelled around the boardwalk, although many people didn’t bother to stop and look, instead focused on getting food from the many trucks or gaze at the gentle sunset.
Brian groaned into his hands, “Damn it Rome.”
“You never told me you didn’t tell her the truth.” Roman Pearce exclaimed, throwing up his hands as his eyes darted between the flustered exes.
Carson couldn’t believe it, “You never said you sold him out.”
“I didn’t,” Brian insisted, throwing up his hands, but neither of them believed him.
“Don’t lie to the girl,” Roman was met with a glare but he shrugged and ate his sandwich, enjoying bickering.
“How am I suppose to trust you when you do shit like this?” Carson hissed, eying him in distain.
Brian shook his head, “I didn’t do shit.”
“Exactly!” Roman’s voice was muffled by his food.
The exes snapped their heads towards him.
“Rome not now, please,” Brian pleaded, angry that the story was getting muddled, like his mind.
He couldn’t think straight.
Luckily Roman laid off of him and decided to leave, “I’m goin’ for a piss.”
Carson didn’t turn back to Brian, instead turned to lean against the pier, focusing her gaze on warm sunset as the Pearce racer strolled away.
“You wanna talk so talk,” she murmured, hearing his pronounced sigh when she didn’t look at him.
He gulped, “I was 2 months into being a cop when Roman was busted in the garage raid. He’s got 8 sets of wheels in his possession, each and every one of them stolen.”
“So you busted him?” She asked, tone above a whisper.
“I didn’t even know it was going down, alright?” He went on, “He doesn’t believe me. When I became a cop, he started seein’ me as a friend that became an enemy.”
Carson’s nose scrunched, he almost smiled despite himself.
He loved when she did that.
“But he’s helpin’ you?” She pressed.
“Sorta. He’s got a monitor on his ankle that he wants off early,” his hands slipped into his pants as he shuffled closer.
“Oh.”
He suppressed a groan, knowing she was still sceptical, “He might not believe me but please tell me you do.”
She snapped her gaze towards him, eyes glimmering with frustration, “Don’t put this on me.”
“What do you want me to do?” He huffed, glad her entire body faced his, “Turn back time? I would if I could.”
“I want you to be honest. About everythin’ I don’t wanna feel like an idiot. I was back then ‘cause I loved you,” she rushed out, before guilt simmering in her stomach due to the hurt look in his eye.
“Wait — loved?”
She stepped closer, gently shaking her head, “Brian…”
“Do you love me? Do you still love me? No bullshit right, so tell me the truth,” he begged, towering over her, wanting nothing more than to reach out and touch her.
The last time he did so was when they had a drunken mistake or so she called it. But it wasn’t something he regretted, he clung to the memory because he feared that was the last time he would be with her.
But Carson had other ideas, “No bullshit. I still love you.”
She said so quietly he almost thought he misheard, but he didn’t.
His shit eating grin spread across his face as he cupped hers, “I love you too.”
“But it’s not gonna be easy,” Carson couldn’t help but lean into his warm touch and embraced the loving words he spoke. Of course she knew he still loved her but she adored when he said it. “You’re gonna have to work for me.”
“I did before,” he joked, rubbing his thumbs over her cheeks.
Ah, he missed touching her. When they were together he never let go, so for 2 years he was in a harsh drought. He barely spoke to other woman let alone touched them. It wasn’t the same and never would be.
“And you’ll have to work harder,” she added, placing her hands on his, pulling them away and interlinking their fingers.
He shrugged, tugging her closer, “I don’t mind.”
They chuckled as he brought her in for an hug, wrapping his arm around her shoulders, staring down at her face, he couldn’t help but press his lips to hers.
Carson’s eyes fluttered shut almost instantly, whimpering as he slipped his tongue in.
Fuck did they miss this.
“I’m gone for 2 seconds are you back with him?” Roman’s voice drew them back, though Brian kept an arm around her. “Damn homie, you gotta teach me your game.” He muttered, taking a bite of a hotdog, “Carson, you should’ve ran, he ain’t shit.”
Carson giggled.
“Shut up Rome,” Brian rolled his eyes, “don’t be mad my girl is in love with me.”
She smacked his chest, playfully glaring up at him, “Hey, you’re in love with me as well.”
“Yeah I am,” he beamed, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
Roman grimaced, “Damn I’m trying to eat.”
“Man when you start eating so much?” Brian couldn’t help but notice, Carson too.
Roman neared the rail and leaned against it, “I was in jail Bruh, I know how shitty the grub is on the inside.”
“My godbrother was the same,” Carson stated, feeling Brian shift uncomfortably.
“You’d think we get along?” Roman asked after taking another bite.
“No,” the couple chorused, then laughed at the glare they received.
“Talkin’ in unison? God I wished I didn’t help you get her back.” Roman shook his head, then narrowed his gaze on the blonde, “Verone is on our ass, you know he knows about Barbie?”
Carson frowned, “Brian told me. My man is so obsessed, it’s impossible for all his enemies not to know, right?”
“I’m sorry,” Brian didn’t mean for her to get involved in all of this.
Roman was stunned by his friends apologetic nature. When they were kids they never apologised for shit.
“Damn, do you have under a spell?” Roman teased the Baker racer.
Carson snorted, “Nope. It’s my natural charm.”
“And beauty.”
“Easy,” Brian cast daggers at his friend, who laughed alongside his girlfriend. “Sonny, could you go and get me and Rome some hot dogs — I know he’s hungry again,” he smiled, at his friend didn’t object, “we need to talk,” he pulled out money to give to her, “you wanted ice cream right?” She nodded, and he gave her more, “Here.”
As she walked off, both girls watched her.
Looks aside, Roman knew talent when he saw it. Carson’s designs were infamous around her, Suki and her were a match made in heaven. Their partnership was plastered over dozens of cars all around Miami Beach.
His attention was drawn to the blonde when Brian began confessing to his faults.
It took 3 minutes, 2 guys hitting on her and 1 creep for Carson to return to the pair, to see them dap each other up, grinning like two naughty kids.
“Thanks baby,” Carson sent Brian a toothy grin when she passed him over his and Roman’s hotdogs, his was covered in ketchup, whilst Roman’s was drizzled in onions and mustard.
“You’re welcome,” she winked at him as she dug her spoon into her cup of ice cream.
“Since y’all are back together, you gotta need to keep it down. I couldn’t sleep at all last night.”
Carson flushed, whilst Brian almost choked on his hot dog.
“I’ll let you two talk about this,” she didn’t wanna stay around for this conversation, “Shit I need to call Suki, give me a second.”
She paced away, avoiding further embarrassment, hearing the friends bickering from a distance.
She took out her phone because she actually did want to talk to Suki about planning a girls night in after all this bullshit, but she didn’t get an answer and decided to put her phone away, eating her ice cream in peace as she stood behind one of the trucks.
Just as went to take a bite, she was tugged backwards, bound with rope and picked up.
Carson screamed out for help but it seemed the boardwalk was practically empty. The truck drivers were too scared to help as she was dragged away by two familiar guys.
She screamed so loud her voice grew sore and yet she didn’t stop, even when one of the guys tried covering her mouth.
Tears flooded her face as she was manhandled as she was moved closer and closer to a car.
She was beyond panicking, all she could do was use her voice, and so she called out the man who she thought would protect her.
“Sonny!” She heard, immediately.
She saw Brian and Roman chase after to her, worried and angry as she was pushed into a car.
“Sonny!”
“Brian!”
“Shut up bitch,” one of the men, pistol whipped her knocking her out in the backseat, as his partner drove away. “I’m tired of her voice.”
“Sonny!”

I was only planning on doing a one shot for this but turned it into a 3 parter. If I’m feeling up to it, I’ll do another.

SECOND CHANCE I
where brian challenges carson to race, but more than just respect is at stake. (Originally supposed to be an alt ending but now it’s a 2 fast 2 furious subplot)
WARNINGS: MENTIONS OF DEATH, VIOLENCE AND MORE
“No," Carson backed away from the blonde, who pulled away from his friend Roman.
“Sonny C’mon.”
She snapped, “Don’t call me that. You know what you’ve done. 2 years might’ve gone by but there isn’t a day that I don’t think about what happened. I mean — shit. Jesse’s dead. Half of my family… I don’t even know where they are right now. I had to leave KeKe so she didn’t get caught, Mia was fuckin’ broken by it. I raced outta there so they didn’t get questioned by your friends on the force.”
Her heart clenched when she saw his eyes softening. For months she has avoided him, but she wouldn’t be able to do it for long. Everyone in Miami Beach knew her, well, they knew her by her street name 'Barbie', she won every race she entered, and Suki almost always came second. She lived with the eccentric girl, who reminded her so much of Keelie. Tej was an older brother figure who warned her whenever Brian came about.
“You knew back then I quit," Brian tried, eyes darting from her face to her body.
So much about her had changed, no beaming smile, and there was no pink in sight apart from her car. Her hair was now in long flowing braids and she adorned all black. It suited her but he couldn't help but miss how old style.
“The damage was done. Now you and your old friend are helpin’ the cops out, right?” Her eyes drifted to the attractive dark-skinned man who had been checking her out. He was beautiful in her opinion, but Brian's looks still had her stumbling for words. His hair was shorter, and he seemed more confident, “This is why I told Suki I didn’t wanna see you," she stressed.
She wanted to be anywhere else but near him, cars were all around but most people were too distracted with the incoming race, which she no longer wanted to take part in.
“We run the same circles," Brian huffed, taking a step closer, but she took one back sending shards to his heart.
2 years and he still loved her.
“Oh cut the bullshit. This is a Job for you. But this -- this is my life, Brian.”
“I get it.”
“No, you don’t," Carson scoffed, folding her arms, and looking him up and down. “Besides why are you even talkin' to me? I saw you with that Latin chick.”
He rose a brow, and a grin threatened to break out on his face, “Did you?”
He glanced back at a chuckling Roman, who was hit by a newly arrived Suki.
“Don’t give me that look," Carson groaned, annoyed that he thought she was mad about it.
She was but he didn't need to know.
“What look?" Brian's teasing tone drove her crazy.
She glared, “Like I’m jealous or somethin'.”
“You sound it!" they heard Roman yell, gaining their attention.
Brian gestured for him to stop, “Not now Rome.”
Roman rasied his hands defensively after Carson flipped him off.
“Fuck the both of you," Carson snapped, rapidly shaking her head.
Roman shouted, “What did I do?!”
Suki rolled her eyes at the man before Tej motioned her away.
Brian sighed, “Sonny listen.”
“Stop callin' me that,” Emotions clung to her stern tone. She couldn't bear to see the guy who broke her heart, it was too much, “I don’t want to listen to anythin’ you’ve gotta say. Every time I believed you — everything you said to me was a fuckin’ lie. I bet you were laughin’ at me, probably thinkin' how dumb can she be?”
“I never laughed at you," Brian frowned as she hugged herself.
He wanted nothing more than to wrap her in a tight embrace, lay a kiss on her lips, and take her back to the houseboat he lived in, but she couldn't stomach the thought let alone, the sight of him.
“Even your name was a lie," she whispered to herself, averting glossy eyes, “Just stay away from me," she pleaded, “You know what I used to think? That when I was with you, everythin' was okay. That I felt safe. But now I realise everythin’ you touch turns to shit. So if you don’t mind, move away from my car, or I’ll run you over with it and won’t think twice.”
Brian bowed his head when she walked away and got in her car, ignoring Tej and Suki who thought she would be racing tonight.
Roman came over and patted his shoulders, “How are you gonna deal with Bilkins and Verone whilst tryna get back with her fine ass?”
Brian's head snapped up and shrugged him off, “Watch it."
“It’s not my fault you fucked up. I mean, you could’ve had it all man. Carson's fine, she can drive and everythin’, I’m surprised you could handle all of that,” Roman ceased his teasing when he saw the glare on the blonde's face. “Damn, haven't seen you this loved up since high school. What is she the one or somethin'?”
“I think she is,” Brian said without hesitation, “But you’re gonna help me fix all of this shit.”
“I’m already doin’ that homie.”
a/n:
i can just imagine this happening, brian loves sonny and he wouldn't flirt with monica. roman would love carson and she in time would love him but not now.

7. FALLING
thank you for the support
WARNINGS: MENTIONS OF MENTAL HEALTH
Tumblr media
"DON'T tell me you're fallin' in love, it's been what, a couple of weeks?"
"I am, he gets me you know," Carson gushed, speaking quietly to Keelie. "Sounds like bullshit I know, but word to God, I'm serious."
Fortunately, the nail salon wasn't busy so only five other people were being tended to.
Keelie huffed out a laugh, "The dick that good?"
"It's the best," Brian was probably the best she ever had. It was only two days since their date and they couldn't stop, he caught her whenever and wherever.
All the time she spent with him, she noticed a lot. He was quite jumpy, and anxious, especially when it came to his phone. Very cagy about his past and she knew to respect that even though it drove her to overthink.
"White boy got it like that?" Keelie was shocked, she'd never seen her friend act so enamoured about a guy.
In the past, Carson was very naive, and way too trusting, so she hoped that history wasn't repeating itself.
Carson giggled, "He really does. Girl, he talks me through it."
Keelie instantly choked on air, "He what?"
"You heard me."
"He's vocal?" Keelie lowered her tone, making sure the customers couldn't hear much to their disappointment. Carson nodded in response. "Damn."
"Voice husky and everythin', he puts it down, lifts me up, keeps me hooked even if he's just starin', he knows he's got some sort of power over me. Drive's me crazy, I swear.”
“He’s packin’ right? He has to be with that shit eatin’ grin.”
“Respect me, I wouldn’t settle for no little dick,” Carson’s response had them both snickering.
The friends abruptly looked up when the shop bell rang and Brian walked in, eyes immediately landing on Carson.
"Ladies," he nodded at a few of them as he walked by, greeted Keelie before leaning over the counter and pressing a few kisses to Carson's lips making the customers awww in the background. Keelie moved away to help them. "You good baby?" she nodded, noting the irritation in his eyes, but before she could say anything he asked, "You get your nails done?" she nodded again, showing them off to him. He pulled out a 50-dollar bill and put it next to her.
She looked shocked, "You don't have to."
"I want to," Brian insisted, still not smiling.
He's annoyed, she realised.
"You ready to go, your shift is done right?" Brian questioned.
"It's done," she replied, "I'll go get my stuff."
He nodded, watching her go into the back, then sighing when he heard Keelie's voice.
"I'm watchin' you," she warned, walking passed.
He snapped his head, looking in her direction as she picked up a new electric file, "I didn't do nothin'."
"Tell that to my third eye," Keelie took note of his annoyance, wondering why he was so worked up.
Brain didn't respond.
Carson came back, with her bag in hand and immediately saw how riled he was.
"Yo, Keke what did you say to him?" she asked, coming up to Brian who put his arm around her.
"Nothin', I only said hi. Didn't I Eminem?" Keelie taunted, sitting down in front of a regular.
"Yeah, Lil' Kim's right," Brian jabbed, making the whole store laugh.
Even Carson smiled, sticking her tongue out at Keelie who flipped him off.
Brian whispered something as they walked out and onto the street, "Come on, I gotta show you somethin' before we meet the team."
"What is it?" she wondered.
His ringtone disrupted his response. He pulled out his phone, keeping it close to his chest and ignored the ring.
She squinted at him, "Brian?"
His phone started to ring again, just as they reached his truck.
"Is that your mom or somethin'?" she pressed.
"What? No, it's just..." he trailed off, annoyed by the constant ringing and switched off his phone, but that only irritated Carson more.
She shrugged off his arm, "Do you have some secret life you're not tellin' me about Brian?" she was frustrated and he hated that he was making her feel that way. "Do you have a wife, kids, some white picket fence?"
He tried taking her hand but she didn't let him, "Baby, calm down, it's nothin'."
"Then why do you look tense?"
"Because you questionin' me alright? Nothing's wrong, I'm good, you good?" he didn't mean to snap at her. He'd never done it before.
Carson took a step back, looking him up and down. Why's he acting like this? her annoyed gaze settled on something she hadn't noticed before.
"Yo, what happened to your hand?"
It was red and slightly blotchy.
Brain flexed his fist and shook his head, "It's nothin'."
"Was it Vince, did you get in the ring with him again or somethin'?" she was met with silence, "Just answer the question."
"I just did," he breathed out. "Trust me, I'm tense 'cause everythin' is on top of me at the moment. I have bad days and good days like everyone else"
She had to ask, "And your phone?"
"It's Harry," he rushed out, "I left my shift early to come and see you, to spend to with you."
"Okay," she didn't have anything else to say.
He groaned, "Don't be like that, lemme show you want I got you."
Carson just nodded, watching him unlock the truck and pull open the passenger seat, retrieving the present he got for her.
She gasped when she saw the jewel-encrusted sunshine ornament. She remembered telling him about it on their date but she didn't think he was listening.
"Y-you... how?"
"I kept an eye out," he carefully placed it in her hands. "Just wanted to make you happy."
It cost nothing, but it meant everything.
She clutched it tightly, smiling so hard her cheeks hurt.
"Thank you, baby."
And it was like everything was forgotten.
So Brian smiled and embraced her tightly, placing a kiss on her forehead.
"Let's get outta here."
__
The next day Carson squealed when she saw her car, more importantly, the engine that looked like it cost 15k. Jesse even claimed to have tweaked a few things, things she didn't notice before. She couldn't believe it. Her flashy rims, the turbine, and the compressor were fixed and the stereo was finally working again too.
"Like it?" Jesse asked with a proud smirk.
"Like it? you did this before street wars and whilst you were fixing the Supra?" she gawked, eyes blinking rapidly at the shiny parts.
He sheepishly shrugged, "Had to do it for you. The rims were the easiest to do. The engine took some time but it was nothin'. Speakers are all set. Check them out, you'll love it, drivin' down sunset blarin' them to the car Gods."
She laid a fat kiss on his cheek and hugged him.
"I love you, you know that? The biggest, bestest and brightest," she listed, beaming at the car.
"I love you too, now lemme get back to the Supra. Go paint your Charger, I know the designs will be sick."
Jesse left her to her own devices. Carson put down the hood, then reached into her pocket to add the last addition.
She slid into the front seat, slid off the plastic and placed the sunshine ornament on the dashboard, it stuck very easily.
"I hope you love it, Dad," she whispered, wishing he was here.
After a moment she jumped out, blew a kiss at the car and walked around the garage, finding the paint she was going to use for the designs, then pulled out her sketchbook and some overalls to protect her fit. She got lost in her own world when she started, everything was going to plan.
She felt so blessed.
So what could go wrong?
She heard some of the guys talking from the distance but she didn't pay much attention.
She barely flinched when she felt someone kneel behind her and wrap an arm around her shoulder pausing her painting.
"Hey blondie," she greeted him as he kissed her cheek.
"Looking good," Brian nodded to the design. Every time he saw her work, whether it was in her sketchbook or some other street racer's car, it made him wonder why she never did this professionally, just like Jesse. Art school or engineering.
She leaned into his hold, "Thank you."
They talked for a while, she asked if his hand was okay, but was told that it was nothing to worry about. He kept saying she would win any race she would enter and couldn't wait to see it happen, all while taking some pictures of them.
He had pictures of the pair of them all over his phone.
Pulling her from the ground, he cupped her face and pressed his lips to hers. The feeling coursing through their veins wasn't foreign anymore. They embraced it like a warm hug. It was light yet intense.
When she went to move away he squeezed her sides.
Carson's laughter caught Dom's attention and he stood by the entrance, but neither of them saw him yet.
"Check it," Brian tried taking the paintbrush from her but she ended up getting some of the excess paint on his shirt.
"That's what you get," she mused.
"Oh, that's what I get?" He wiped the rest of the paint on her overalls, earning a fierce glare.
Finally seeing a displeased Dom standing off to the side, Brian shifted back slightly.
"Need a cigarette," he murmured.
Carson's brows furrowed, "Didn't you say you quit?" damn he must be stressed.
"I have to make a parts run 'round Simi Valley for Harry," Brian dismissed her question, looking directly at Dom.
"Drive safe," The Torretto man said with indifference.
"Bye, Sonny," Brian breezed passed Dom, after kissing her goodbye.
Carson stood there awkwardly, Dom continued to stare at her, and she didn't understand why.
"I had a guy on the phone, said you hadn't finished his design yet," he expressed, breaking the silence.
"I'm on it."
"Are you, 'cause you seem distracted?" There was a lot of judgment in his tone.
She scoffed, "Get off my back. If I say I'll finish the design I'll finish the design," she put down the paintbrush and frowned, "Brian's not a distraction. I thought you liked him."
"Me likin' him got nothin' to do with anythin'. Just focus," he always said the same thing to both her and Mia. His sister for school and Carson for her occupation. He knew that his godsister was falling in love with the guy, they all did, it so was obvious. "You wanna win big at race wars right? Make sure you keep your head straight."
She huffed, "First Vince, then Brian, now you, must be somethin' in the water right? Why are you all in my grill? Just mind your business."
"You're my business. Always have been, always will!" he yelled, causing her to walk out of the garage in a huff, "And don't you forget that!"
__
Later that day, Carson stood proud, grinning at the finished product of her car, trying to forget all the stress and worries she felt. She was happy. I'm happy, she kept telling herself. The team congratulated her for creating such a beauty before leaving to go and see Dom and Brian drive off in the completed Supra.
She tried not to overthink. Everything was going to plan, right? But the feeling in her stomach was growing.
Carson wanted to ignore it but her dad always told her to listen to her gut.
The sun was fading and she knew it was time to get back to her shared apartment. Letty had dipped, Mia was studying, Vince and Leon were inside whilst Jesse with stuck in his head working on the computer.
In the corner of her eye, Carson caught the orange Supra pulling up the garage.
Brian and Dom were talking intently about something, she couldn't get a good read on either of them, with their shades being on but she was too tired to even try.
"Yo Summer, where's everyone?" Dom asked, noticing her furrowed brows. The garage was scarce and Jesse didn't look up at the sound of his voice.
Brian smiled as he walked over to her since she didn't look too happy and he instantly felt a sense of dread.
"Inside," was all she had to say, "I'm bouncin'," she went to move but Brian caught her keyless hand, "Yeah?" Dom left the pair alone and eventually, Jesse joined him, finally snapping out of his trance and wanting to badger him about the sweet ride. "I gotta go, Brian."
"Why don't I come with you?" He suggested, with a smirk playin' at his lips.
"Won't your Sylvanian family be blowin' up your cell?" He laughed but she was serious as hell. "I've got work in the mornin' you know?"
"I won't keep you up and my phone will stay on silent. I promise," he came closer, pulling off his shades and staring into her eyes. The sun's falling rays struck her iris' had it stirred something inside of him. "I just wanna hold you, Sonny," he whispered as she scrunched her nose, making him cup her chin and peck her lips a few times. "We'll get some beauty sleep together. Okay?"
His words were making her trip and fall over any gut feeling.
So she agreed, "Okay. But we're just gonna sleep," she warned him as he pulled open the driver seat, letting her get in before jogging over to the passenger side. He gently shut the door, eyes lighting up at the ornament on the dashboard. "Only sleepin'."
Brian nodded, watching her start the engine, "A good night's rest and my beautiful girl to hold onto, not a bad way to live," he said softly, earning the cheesiest smile from her, "That's all I want."
"And that's what you've got."

https://pin.it/1s5Uvmk (how i imagine her car to look, obviously with huge bratz doll silhouettes across the sides) it's funny because her street name at this point is "barbie" but that won't stop her from doing what she wants. and what's cute is brian's street name is "bullit" so we've got bullit and barbie.
https://pin.it/1c7m5sX (how i imagine the sunshine ornament to be but without the moon). in the behind the scenes videos of this film, the director wanted no rearview mirrors in the car, because he wanted it to be as accurate to the street racing culture of the time, so carson doesn't have one. so just imagine the gift sticking to the dashboard.
some more angst in this chapter between brian and carson. the way he caught an attitude with our girl was disrespectful but of course, all it took was a gift to calm her down. it's sad i know but it's all part of the build-up. carson loves love and even though she knows something is up she'll tell herself to be delusional for a little longer and let him "hold her".
i've been getting a few messages about how often i update but it states multiple times that i publish every sunday (even check the first few chapters pls!)
also with the mature scenes that i write, pls prevent yourself from saying "robbed" or "call 911". what i write should be enough and it gets annoying when i see things like that. as stated in my bio, don't comment on any of my stories if you're a minor!

LOVE AND WAR
what johnny tran said to brian during race wars.
WARNINGS: violence and foul language
-
Security surrounded the explosive scene. Dom was hastily pulled off Johnny. The accusation that Dom narc'd on Johnny was enough to throw punches. Even Letty let her fist collide with Lance's face.
Brian rushed over the moment he heard. Carson was off racing and Mia was cheering along, unaware of what was happening.
Just as Dom, Leon and Vince were about to rush off, Johnny continued his taunts.
"Yo Toretto tell blondie, that Summer is still available to me. that their little boyfriend and girlfriend titles don't mean nothin'," the injured man spat out from where he laid on the ground, growling at the street team who halted in their stride.
the vicious words drew Brian in, he managed to push passed security just as the other guys all exchanged looks.
"What did you just say?" Brian stormed over, his anger was as evident like the rest of them.
Dom sent a nod to Letty, advising her to go off, just in case things got uglier.
"You heard me," Johnny bitterly laughed, wiping the blood with his mouth and pulling himself off of the ground, just as the blonde appeared in front of him.
"Nah I don't think I did. say it again."
"Summer is easy --"
Dom and Vince had no chance to stop Brian before he threw a punch to the man's nose, the crack echoed through the rowdy crowd.
Leon didn't realise the full extent of Brian's feelings for Carson. Sure they would all go to war for the girl, but he was more than angry.
Was it more than lust, or was it just possessiveness? Or did he even love the girl?
"Dom get the buster!" Brian heard Vince yell as he pummelled Johnny.
His rage was undeniable but before he could throw another punch, Dom and a member of security dragged him off the man.
"Keep talking Tran!" Brian thrashed around, glaring at the man.
Adrenalin was coursing through him, so he couldn't feel his throbbing fist.
"Cool off O'Connor," Dom pushed him with Leon and Vince in tow, away from security and the rest of the crowds.
"You gonna let him talk about your godsister like that?" Brian didn't understand why they weren't as angry as him.
"Watch it," Vince hissed.
Dom's stare hardened, "I said cool off."
"Did you hear what he said?" Brian pressed with a crazed look in his eye.
Leon stood back, arms folded, not sure what to do.
"I heard what he said and I saw what he did. he said things that he didn't mean, said shit that doesn't make sense. Jesse ain't here and he's gonna want what is owed to him, so until then keep your hands to yourself," Dom jabbed a finger in his direction.
"What he said about the raid Dom --" Leon was cut off with a sharp look from Dom.
Vince stressed, "Let's get outta here."
"You wait for Summer to win her race," Dom demanded, staring at the infuriated blonde.
"Where are you guys going?" Brian pressed, sceptically glancing between the three.
"Wait here!" Dom repeated, raising his voice then Vince forcibly ushered them all along.
Brian stood there huffing and running his hands through his curls. He knew he shouldn’t have lost his cool, but it was Sonny, his Sonny. He wasn’t going to let comments like that slide, even if it caused more trouble.
But that’s the thing, trouble followed him where-ever he went, it was only an amount of time before it caught up and everyone found out the truth about what he was really doing in LA.
-
(unedited)
considering that brian is a police officer and is trained, he would 100% be beating up any and everyone just for slandering his girl. even throughout the film series, we saw how he was fighting someone every hour.

4. COOK OUT
Tumblr media
"WHAT about parts and service?" Mia asked as she held a folder in her hands.
Letty stood by a car, fixing it up, just as Carson came over, gleeful that she found the right paint to apply to her car.
Now she had excess money for the designs, rims and the stereo, soon she would drop by Harry's to get it and in turn, she would see Brian. She hoped he would be by with the 10-second car he promised, if not the car the parts, good, shiny, glistening parts that would send Jesse into a frenzy.
"Hold off on that," Dom answered.
"But, Dom, I don't know what to do with--" Mia cut herself off, eyes doubling in size at the sight of a nasty, old wrecked car, backing into the garage.
Carson's mouth gaped open.
"All right, what the hell is this?" Dom asked Brian, coming closer as did everyone else, wanting to know what the hell that thing was. "What do you got there?"
"This is your car," Brian said, proudly, earning a deadpanned look from Carson.
She blinked, "Brian, why are you tryin' me today?"
"Her car?" Dom pointed to himself as Jesse hit on the side of it with his fist. "I told you, she's a brat and one accepts nothin' less than a said a 10-second car, not a 10-minute car."
"Can you even imagine me near this thing? Respect me please," Carson said, making Letty laugh.
"Maybe you could push this across the finish line, or tow it." Jesse chuckled, staring at his friend who flipped him off.
"You couldn't even tow that across the finish line," Dom said. "Not with those nails anyway."
Carson motioned to her throat and grazed it with her acrylic nails, making Mia and Letty laugh.
"No faith." Brian shook his head a little with a smile, as the group laughed.
"Oh, I have faith in you, but this isn't a junkyard," Dom said, gesturing to the car. "This is a garage."
"Hey, pop the hood," Brian told Jesse.
Dom chuckled, "Pop the hood?"
"Pop the hood." Brian grinned at Dom. The team moved the car into the garage where Jesse opened the hood, making it fall completely off.
"Two J.Z. engine. No shit." Jesse said.
"Goddamn, look at that thing." Carson leaned closer to inspect it. "So pretty."
"And what did I tell you?" Brian smiled, crossing his arms.
"I retract my previous statement," Dom said, a little impressed.
"The car's still busted though," Carson mumbled, and Brian snorted.
"You know what?" Jesse said holding onto the crowbar he used to open the hood. "This will decimate all after you put about fifteen grand in it or more if we have to overnight parts from Japan."
"We'll put it on my tab at Harry's," Dom said.
"Yes!" Jesse sprinted off.
"I want the turbine and compressor," Carson said definitively.
Dom pondered, knowing she had every right to it and nodded.
"Jesse will be able to replicate the J.Z. but let him work his magic first."
Carson agreed, turning back to the engine, smiling at how shiny it looked.
"Now, I gotta get you racing again so I can make some money off your ass," Dom said to smiling Brian. "There's a showdown in the desert called Race Wars and that's where you'll do it." Mia and Carson exchanged an apprehensive look, "I'll tell you what. When you're not workin' at Harry's, you're workin' here. If you can't find the right tool in this garage, Mr. Arizona, you don't belong near a car."
Brian faced Carson with a smirk.
"What?" She waited for an answer, strolling over to him as everyone went back to their work.
His expression didn't falter which made her laugh.
"Boy, you're so stupid," she said, shaking her head.
"Yeah, text me that tonight," Brain quipped.
"Don't sweat it, you know I will."
__
The next day after a morning at the garage, it was time for an old-fashioned cookout or what other people called the Toretto family BQQ.
"Mia! Carson! Come on, the chicken's dry already." Dom called out to them as he grilled the chicken.
"Oh, shut it, we're coming!" Mia called back to him, as she, Jesse, and Brian walked out, some with food in hand, whilst the others set the table.
Dom greeted Mia, with a warm embrace just before everything was set and they sat down, ready to dig in.
Dom looked around, "Where's Summer?"
"Glued to the mirror," Mia replied, sitting down.
Carson finally emerged from the kitchen after checking her outfit, she wanted to look on point, for herself obviously, but maybe, just maybe a small part of her wanted Brian's attention.
The blonde had a double take when she came out of the house wearing a sheer pink two-piece that clung to all the right places. Her hair was up in a ponytail and silver earrings swung with every step. Her cross necklace settled above her cleavage and her glossy lips shone brighter than the sun.
"Damn," Leon muttered, shaking his head then turning back to the food before receiving a scolding lecture from Dom.
"You gotta little drool from your face, man, gonna ruin the grub," Jesse joked, snapping his fingers in Brian's face whilst Letty and Mia snickered to themselves.
Dom smiled at Carson, "Dressin' up for the family huh?"
She innocently smiled, "You know I always liked to look nice."
"And it's all for me," Letty winked at her, then innocently shrugged her shoulders after Dom playfully glared.
When Carson finally sat down next to Brian, it was clear to everyone that he was extremely happy about it.
He shot her subtle glances, even leaning over to say, "I still wanna see if it's true."
"What's true?" She said just as quietly as he did.
"The blacker the berry the sweeter the juice," he teased correctly this time.
She shook her head with a smile matching his, and when her head snapped up, Mia and Letty from opposite them were mimicking them.
Just as Leon went to sip on his corona, a familiar voice was heard.
"Sorry I'm late y'all," they all welcomed Keelie when she jogged over.
She closed the nail salon slightly early so she could attend one of Dom's family BBQs. In the past couple of years she'd known the man, he'd passed the invitation to her three or four times which she appreciated and made sure never to turn down.
"Almost missed Jesse crackin' his head open," Carson filled her in, as Keelie went around the table dapping up the guys and kissing the girl's cheeks.
Jesse craned his neck to the side, "You're lame for lyin', I was balancin' when I did that handstand."
"Failin' at it," Leon commented.
"Badly," Letty laughed, "Very badly. Still got any brain cells brother?"
"Doubt it," Carson stuck out her tongue when Jesse pretended to try and jump around Brian who playfully pushed him back down, despite the seriousness of his actions.
"Hey! Stop, sit down," Dom instructed and Jesse reluctantly did so.
Keelie finally reached her chair, next to Mia, who surprisingly greeted her with a kiss, much to everyone's surprise.
"Woah," Leon choked on his beer.
Jesse looked to the sky, "There is a God."
"Don't be creepy," Carson hissed, then immediately squealed at the sight of her two blushing friends.
"Cats finally out of the bag," Brian murmured just before they all turned to a calm Dom.
"About time," he spoke up, grinning at the two women.
"You knew?" They said in unison.
"Torettos ain't known for subtlety," he replied, pointing his finger toward Mia, who laughed, "Plus you need to start puttin' a sock on your door."
"Gettin' busy in Casa Toretto," Letty nudged her friend.
"You can't say anythin', Leticia," Keelie shut her down.
Dom smirked and Letty narrowed her eyes.
"Nothing at all," Carson added, then looked at Mia, "Hey girl, if KeKe screws you over, my doors always open."
"Shut up," Keelie chucked a piece of bread at her.
Mia snorted, "I'll keep that in mind."
Keelie's eyes darted towards Brian, "Blondie, control your girl."
Brian seemed to like that term.
"I'm not his girl," Carson said melodically, and no one took it seriously.
"Not yet," Brian said, promisingly, creeping his hand onto her lower bare thigh, before she slapped it away, despite wanting it to remain there.
"Wait. Hold up." Dom said as Jesse grabbed a piece of chicken amid all the commotion. "Because you were the first out of everyone here to reach in to get the chicken, you say grace."
Everyone bowed their heads and held hands.
Brian's thumb trailed over the back of Carson's hand, extracting a soft smile from her. He was really sending her heartbeat levels into a craze.
"Dear heavenly, uh--" Jesse blanked for a moment, amusing everyone.
"Spirit." Leon finished for him.
"Spirit. Thank you." Jesse continued. "Uh, thank you for providing us with a direct port nitrous, uh, injection," Carson held back a shriek when Brian pinched her side for laughing. "Four-core intercoolers and ball-bearing turbos, and, um, titanium valve springs. Thank you."
"Amen!" Leon said and the rest of them clapped.
"He was prayin' to the car gods, man." Letty praised, ready to dig in.
"If he's not the best," Dom said smiling, as he passed the plate of chicken around.
Carson tried her best not to make a mess; one, not to ruin her outfit and makeup and two, because she knew if Brain wasn't here, she would tear up the table.
"Look who it is," Leon said. They all turned their heads to see Vince walking towards them after calming down from his earlier strop. Keelie's mood faltered. "Old Coyotes 'R' Us. I thought you were hungry, pumpkin."
Carson could tell her closest friend wasn't excited by Vince's presence nor was Brian. So she blew a kiss to Keelie and allowed Brian to rest his hand on her thigh, for comfort of course.
"You know, I gotta eat." Vince shrugged off any insults thrown his way.
"He's always hungry," Letty said, blankly.
"All right, sit down." Dom waved him over. As Vince passed, he rubbed Dom's head, saying thank you. Vince greeted Mia, Letty and even Keelie before nodding at the rest of them. His eyes found a smiling Carson, and just as he was about to mirror her expression, he saw Brian sitting there.
"Sup Vincent," Carson tried drawing his attention.
"Summer, lookin' good," Vince complimented.
"Feelin' it too."
Brian almost scoffed when his drink was snatched by Vince but Carson's nails trailed along his thigh, making some of the tension filling his body deflate.
As they started digging into the food, Dom softly asked Vince, "So how's your mom?..."
__
After dinner, the team went to the living room to watch a movie. Carson lost rock paper and scissors and had to do the dishes. She hated it – getting water all up her arms and gunk in her nails – even when she used gloves she hated it, which is why everyone took in so much pleasure in seeing her do it. Jesse picked the movie: Scream 3, which she would be missing out on the beginning all because of a bunch of dirty dishes.
"Need a hand?" Brian chuckled when he walked into the kitchen, Carson hadn't begun and didn't look like she was about to.
"You gonna do it for me?" she asked, pouting slightly and he nodded, coming over. "Thanks."
"But you're gonna have to stay in the room, you know, to keep me company," he explained, slipping beside her and picking up a plate.
She nodded, more enthusiastically than she should, "Of course."
"You had a good time?" Brian asked, placing the rest of the plates in the sink.
"When I eat somethin' I don't have to cook, I always have a good time," she told him.
"Good to know, at least I know what to plan for our date," Brain wasn't joking at all.
"You wanna take me out so bad," she said through her laughter.
He hummed, "I do."
Carson's eyes darted between him and the plate he was drying up before a mischievous smile started to form on her face.
"Okay, I'll go out with you," Brian literally almost dropped the plate out of shock drawing a giggle from her, "but as a pity date since you lost against me."
"A pity date?" his excitement didn't falter.
"Yeah, a pity date, take it or leave it," Carson teased, folding her arms and suddenly all the dishes were forgotten.
He wiped his hands, turning to face her, "I'd be a fool to leave it wouldn't I?"
"The biggest," she agreed, beaming up at him. Brain neared closer, extending an arm around her, caging her against the counter. "So, where are we goin'?"
His eyes dropped to her chest, seeing how quickly it rose and fell, no doubt due to their proximity.
"Where did you want me to take you?" his voice sounded huskier than she expected, which made her hands reach out to his forearms, "You wanna eat right?" she slowly nodded gaze moving between his lips and eyes, "I'll make sure you do."
Damn, this man made her mouth water.
But before he could say anything else, the sound of the microwave roughly opening had them jumping apart.
Vince had been glaring the moment he stumbled into the kitchen, grossed out by the fact Brian was all over his surrogate sister.
He chucked in a bag of popcorn, drunkenly glancing around.
"Wash my car when you get done," he said, bitterly laughing.
"I know you're not talkin' to me." Carson glared at him, annoyed that he ruined their little moment.
"No, Summer, I'm talking to the punk. And wear your favourite dress, 'cause when you're done, I'm puttin' you on the street where you belong cutie." Carson looked up at Brian, seeing how hard his jaw was clenched. Vince snickered to himself, turning to face the microwave. He pushed some buttons and hit the side. "Is this thing broken? What's wrong with this thing?"
Carson rolled her eyes, shuffling closer to the macho man, "V?" she exclaimed, getting his attention. "Vincent, what was that Cuban restaurant you rave about? The one with the picadillo and the --"
"Little red candles and the wooden table?" Vince answered, slightly confused.
"Yeah," Carson hummed, coming to stand in front of him. "The plantain too. You know I love that stuff, what's it called?"
"Cha Cha Cha," Vince said, raising a brow.
Carson clapped, clasping her hands together and turned back to Brian, walking a little closer over.
"Well, you can take me there, for our date. Pick me up Friday night at 10. Cool?" she asked.
"Yeah, it's cool," Brian nodded, trying to suppress his excitement. Their date would be in 5 days. "For a pity date."
"Yeah, for a pity," Carson grinned.
The two turned around when Vince angrily backed out of the room, hitting the door when he stormed out.
They heard him yell, "Make your own goddamn popcorn!"
"Christ," Carson laughed as Brian started washing up again, side-eying her outfit.
"I forgot to tell you somethin'," He said.
"Keepin' secrets already?" she teased, earning a nervous chuckle, "What's up?"
"You look amazin' today," he cheekily smiled at her.
Carson just rolled her eyes but muttered a small thank you before she started talking about all the changes she was going to make to her car. She ranted and stammered occasionally and yet he listened intently, nodding along and sliding in his input when needed.
He couldn't wait for their date, he was going out with the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen.
And to him, that made him a winner.

a/n:
what I've realised is that this movie took place over at least a month or three weeks, nothing more. it feels like less time but i can't tell. all i know is that you can catch feelings in one setting just depends on the person. so if carson and brian seem like they're going very quickly its because they are.
how are you liking the story? (btw I've started posting it on tumblr as well).

HOLD YOU
imagine this taking place after chapter 7 of stereo love
WARNINGS: mentions of violence
__
After driving back to her shared apartment, Carson and Brian made their way into her room. Keelie was out with Mia, which meant she was opening the Salon tomorrow morning. She meant what she said to Brian, that she only wanted to sleep, but the vacant look in his eyes confused her.
He watched Carson change into her pyjamas before he pulled off his shirt and pants and scooted up the bed, tossing a few of her pillows to the side and pulling open her duvet.
Carson joined him, after turning on the main light.
The bedside lamp lit up only their faces.
All of her worries faded when she was in his arms, but his silence made her question a lot.
“You haven’t said anything for a while, you okay?” She turned onto her side and stared at him.
“Just thinking.”
“You look worried.”
"It's nothing," his hand trailed over her shoulder.
Brian didn't want her to overthink, but he knew she was.
"Like I said before, today wasn't the best."
"Really? Your Supra is up and runnin', right? Where did you and Dom go?" She asked, stroking his face.
He softly shrugged, "Got some shrimp, talked about Race Wars, that's it."
She pouted, "You went on a date without me."
"Funny," He chuckled, “Now turn around so I can hold you.”
“So romantic.”
Carson dramatically huffed, much to his amusement and turned around, pressing her back to his chest.
“That’s better," he mumbled, dropping his head into the crook of her neck, quietly inhaling her scent.
His arm wrapped tighter around her waist.
Carson tilted her head slightly, “Why? 'Cause you pressed up against me?”
Brian grumbled, “I told you I’m better with the back of things.”
“Yeah, you prefer the trunk to the hood.”
“I do like the hood, don’t get me wrong,” He pulled her as close as possible, feeling his boxers tighten, “It’s just the trunk,” he rubbed against her, “I love.”
A gasp escaped her, “I can tell.”
He peppered kisses over her sweet spot.
"Baby, I need to sleep, just sleep," She didn't pull away from him, but she did want to sleep and sleep only. "Brian."
"Yeah, you will."
"Not with your dick in my back I won't," She sassed, moaning slightly at the bruises forming on her neck.
"Thought you like me holdin' you?"
"You're tryna fuck."
Brian chuckled to himself and pulled away a little, he didn't want to jeopardise her waking up late. It was a power he had and she knew it too.
They lay in silence, her breathing was gentle, making him relax more.
“Tell me what’s on your mind," She whispered.
“Just feelings.”
“What kinda feelings?”
He took a moment to respond, “You should know something.”
Her breath hitched, “What?”
“My feelings for you go deeper than you think," he mumbled against her head, whilst his heart was beating out of his chest.
“Brian…” She went to turn around but he held her tightly, knowing he wouldn't be able to say it if he could see her face.
“Let me finish. It’s more than just I like you. Sure being around you is the best thing that’s happened to me in a while, but it’s more than me just liking it. Like I said it goes deeper than I thought," he rushed out.
A teary smile took over her face, as she leant into his hold, “That’s the same for me.”
“Really?” He beamed.
She sniffled, “Yeah really.”
“That’s good to know.”
“Likewise," she bit on her lip, trying to hold back more emotions from spilling.
He was admitting to falling for her, in his own way and she felt the same.
“I just wanted you to know, before…” He trailed off.
“Before what? I beat your ass again in race wars.” She teased.
He chuckled, “If we race each other.”
“True but you know it’ll happen.”
“Sure,” he paused, sucking in a deep breath, “I really like you Sonny," She couldn't see the tears forming in his eyes. "Whatever happens in race wars just remember that."
Carson just smiled, neglecting to understand the weight behind his words.
Which meant the rose-tinted shades were still on, but for how long?

10. PEACE OUT
WARNING: VIOLENCE, GUNS, BLOOD AND DEATH
Tumblr media
THE god siblings were dropped outside Dom's house by Leon and Letty who sped off. It wasn't long before Mia ran out of the house with Keelie behind her.
Dom ignored the couple and stormed over to the shed.
Keelie took note of their bloody clothes first, then started to ask questions, "Girl, what happened?"
"Oh my god. Are you okay?" Mia panicked.
"Vince's is in the hospital,"  Carson spoke up, startling them with her raw voice. "But that's not all. It's Brian. He's a cop," their eyes doubled in size, "He lied to me, to all of us. His last name ain't his last name. He lied. He's a fuckin' cop, and I trusted him."
Keelie didn't say anything, no I told you so, nothing at all, instead, she pulled her into a hug.
Mia's heart broke for her godsister, but God was she angry at Brian for doing this to her.
The couple led her back to the house, rubbing her back as she started mumbling about everything, Vince, Jesse and Brian.
"I hate him," Carson said, pacing around the living room, the other two watched her with worry. Vince's blood stained her hands but Brian's betrayal tainted her heart, no it battered it. "We gotta go, we can't stay here," Mia nodded, scattering around trying to grab anything and anything necessary. "Keke, I'm sorry."
Keelie said nothing, aware of what had to happen. They had to leave.
Mia stared at her girlfriend with teary eyes and Keelie tentatively helped her pack.
Carson had her winnings but needed the rest of her money from their apartment and a few clothes before she left, though she needed to know if Jesse was okay. It had been hours since she last saw him and she was so scared that Johnny had got to him first.
Shouting from outside got her attention, she insisted that Keelie and Mia stay inside before she rushed over to the window to see Brian and Dom pointing guns at each other.
"Christ," She ran out of the house.
"Move your car," Dom yelled, cocking his shotgun.
"Dom, stop it! It's over! Please. Let's go," Carson pleaded with him.
Brian glanced over to see her, wishing he could change things.
"Carson, stay out of it!" Dom shouted. Then looked at Brian with hateful eyes, "Move the–"
Carson turned at the sound of a car speeding over and abruptly stopping at the front of the house. It was Jesse.
That made her let out a sigh of relief.
"Jesse!" She exclaimed.
He didn't see her, he just kept rambling as he got out of the Jetta, "Dominic, I am so sorry." he said. "I don't know what I'm doing, Dom. I'm so scared right now. I don't know what's going on."
He looked so terrified.
Dom dropped his weapon and Carson rushed down the steps but remained wary of Brian's gun that was still pointed at her godbrother.
"Jess!" Dom shouted. "What were you thinkin', man?"
"Brian, drop the gun!" Carson yelled before Mia and Keelie stepped out of the house, stunned by the commotion.
"What's going on?" Keelie glared, "Why is the fed here?"
"Jess! Get inside," Carson pleaded, they needed to leave.
"Girls, go inside!" Dom demanded. He never sounded more desperate in his life, "Take Summer with you!"
"I don't know," Jesse cried, "I panicked. I'm sorry. I'm scared, please help me," the sound of motorcycles got Dom's attention,  "I don't know what I'm doin'. Will you please help me?!"
Carson's heart dropped after she followed Dom's gaze, seeing the guns that the men were holding and began shooting as they drove by.
bullets fell from the sky drawing screams as everyone tried moving out of the way.
"Sonny!" she faintly heard her name being called as a body dove on top of her, shielding her from the shells aimed at them.
She didn't move, she couldn't not until the motorcyclists were gone.
And once they were, she pushed off Brian's body and shrugged off all his attempts to make sure she was okay.
"Jess?" Carson felt tears fill her eyes as she saw her friend lying on the ground. "Jesse!" she shouted, running over. Dom held onto his fallen friend as she fell onto her knees beside them. "Jesse wake up."
"No, Jesse!" Mia sobbed, Keelie pulled her back, not wanting her to see.
"Please just wake up," Carson pleaded. He didn't have a pulse and wasn't breathing. Just a sack of flesh and bones. Just like how her dad was in that hospital, lying dead in her arms.
She couldn't remember anything after that. Not Brian and Dom speeding away, not Mia's cries, not even when the police and ambulance arrived, taking away Jesse in a body bag.

"You're really goin'?" Keelie questioned Carson after they made it back to the apartment.
The racer hadn't spoken since Jesse's death. Not a word. They just got in her Hellcat and drove home. They showered, and Carson had to scrub herself clean of everything, the blood, the horror and the death of not only her friend but the team. Everything had to change, everyone had to scatter.
Her family couldn't stay together and that's what killed her.
"I would take you with me. I can't stay, not here," Carson insisted, throwing some of her stuff in two suitcases and discarding one of Brian's shirts. Keelie promised she would send her the rest of her belongings once she's settled. "You've gotta a business to run and a long-distance relationship to handle."
Keelie shed a tear and pulled her in for a hug. They wouldn't be living or working together anymore. The older woman would miss the sound of her singing badly, doting over stupid crushes and even their silly argument.
It wasn't gonna be the same.
"You better stay in touch," she urged, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
Carson chuckled, "With my sister? How could I not."
Her words touched Keelie, "So where are you goin'?" she asked after they made their way out of Carson's room.
"I'll holla at you when I get there," Carson promised, sending her a  wink as she picked up her suitcases and bid a quick farewell to the apartment she spent years in. It hurt, but at least she was used to the pain. "I left you somethin' in my room. Use it wisely," she advised, pausing to muster up a grateful smile, "Later girl."
Keelie laughed through her tears as the door slammed shut.
She made her way to Carson's room, which was almost empty, it didn't look right, nothing had in the last 24 hours.
But there, sitting on the bed was a brown paper bag, she moved to see the contents, only to find what had to have been at least a couple of grand. Use this and get a car of your own, the note read making Keelie laugh.
"That bitch," she took the money and counted it, "Thank God for Summer. She's a blessin' in disguise."
__
Carson put on some black shades, which matched the rest of her attire, not a dash of pink in sight as sped down the highway, with a soft tune playing through her Stereo.
Her cell started to ring and she knew who it was.
Something possessed her to pick it up.
Flipping open her phone, she said, "Yo."
"Sonny tell me where you are," she sighed when she heard the traitor's voice. It had a bit of an edge to it. He sounded upset.
The cheek of him sounded upset when he caused her heart to break.
"And why would I do that? Matter of fact why would I listen to a pig?" she spat, keeping a firm grip on the wheel, eyes darkening at the sight of the gift he brought her. It rested on the dashboard.
Brian bowed his head, "I quit."
"Why?"
"You know why," it was for her, for the team, being on the force didn't feel right, not anymore.
"Well, the damage is already done," she replied, now holding up her phone with her shoulder.
"Please just tell me. I wanna start over, make things right."
She didn't say anything, his voice was so convincing but she couldn't be naive, not again, so instead, she plucked up the sunshine ornament and held it tightly.
He pressed, "Sonny?"
"Nah, I'm too good for you," she knew it and he knew it too. So smiling sadly, she kissed the gift, before throwing it out her window, "Later O'conner."
She hung up before he had a chance to respond and kept driving, she wouldn't stop until she made it to her friend's place in Miami Beach.
Carson turned up the stereo, slyly smirking at the sound of Eve's Let me blow ya mind record.
Initially, she thought Brian would be different, but he was just another guy and she wasn't just any girl. She was different.
But Carson knew she needed to change, to be better.
Her heart wouldn't heal, because grief was destructive. She hoped to find peace, in a different place, a different city, so she would have to find the right path.
Just one-quarter mile at a time.

THE END
a/n:
guys i have said a few times that it was only going to be about the first film so don't be mad. even when i started planning it i knew it would be bittersweet. brian and carson's story was cute but he was a liar guys, so no way in hell would i let her end up with him. (if i was continuing the franchise they would've made up by at least the 5th film). carson's on her way to miami beach (where the second film is set lol). she ditched the pink (her car is still pink and black) but she has a new look.
also, check on youtube how many deleted scenes this film has, the original ending was brian going to the house to see mia after quitting his job.
i'll still be posting edits on tiktok's for the story. check out her character profile in my "meet my oc's" book. i might do a few one-shots on tumblr for this story, maybe three parts about this ship, so watch out for that.
i hope you enjoyed this book.
