So um hi yes I have a question

Do the Senators who proposed KOSA expect the whole WORLD (more or less) to abide by this law, or does it only affect US internet users?

I know this may sound scatterbrained but please just hear me out okay- The Internet is used by.. EVERYONE. All over the world. There's a reason it's called the "World Wide Web."

If KOSA passes and the US government decides to start censoring stuff, will these websites and platforms be censored EVERYWHERE?

For example, will an American user be unable to access YouTube unless they adhere to the verification requirements, and even if they DO it'll still be heavily censored.. but if a user from the UK did the same, YouTube would still work the way it does now for them, just sign in and you're good, + no censoring?

Or, do they expect EVERYBODY to be like "Oh yeah sure you can totally censor everyone all around the world's internet and block important and possibly life-saving information about dozens of important topics and basically take away some of it's most used websites and platforms unless you adhere to possibly dangerous verification requirements lol"

I mean I'm sure some countries would agree.. but STILL. I imagine the States would lose a lot of brownie points with other world powers, and other COUNTRIES in general.

Like I genuinely need someone to explain this to me because-.. NO???

If that's the case it's seriously giving "Americans who think they and their country are the center of the universe" -_-

I expect companies/people in other countries would just make replacement social media platforms to replace things like YouTube and Instagram, and users, including Americans, would just use those. I can't imagine it would be that hard to make a replacement trash fire for Twitter. Like, If I lived somewhere else, by absolutely no means am I gonna (POSSIBLY) upload my ID to the internet because; "ThInK OF The AmErIcAn cHiLdRen!!!!"

Oh uhh genuine but weird question has anybody else been getting 'fnaf' and 'fnaf movie' in their google suggestions for everything? like EVERYTHING. I've never googled anything about fnaf or the movie and it's getting suggested in the most odd places imaginable, this issue started yesterday and I genuinely can't believe there isn't some sort of explanation for this.

really wish that instead of 'zionist' people would just write what they mean. otherwise i'm just incredibly confused.

for example, instead of "zionist pig", try saying:

"pig who thinks-israel-should-be-home-to-the-jewish-people"

"pig who supports-the-development-of-israel"

"pig who thinks israel should exist"

"pig who lives in israel" (that one probably isn't kosher though)

"jewish pig"

"jew-supremacist pig"

"pig who-supports-the-murder-of-innocent-palestinians"

etc.

it would make it much easier to differentiate between legitimate criticism of israel and antisemitism, and much easier to actually understand what position you're supporting.
