Sooo something has been brought to my attention that immediately needs to be addressed.

The user @asmodeus-682 (can @ them freely since they've already blocked me and I cannot reach out to them) is throwing around accusations that I'm a pro-shipper of Solar x Moon, a ship that's grown in popularity amongst some members in the TSAMS community. And is bashing anyone and everyone associated with it.

Gonna come out and call bullshit.

Yes, I did like some art of it from accounts I follow because I thought what was happening in said art was cute. But...that doesn't mean I ship it???

Since when does liking something equate to supporting something else???

People can like Harry Potter and hate JK Rowling at the same time, so idk what logic is being used here.

Do I think SolarMoon is cute? Yes.

Do I ship it? No, it's personally not my cup of tea. Kidscove still has my heart and soul.

I understand some are hesitant to approach it or are heavily against it because Solar was given the title of "cousin" by Earth and has been accepted into the family. I, as a moderator in the official TSBS Discord server, have been cautious to not let any discussions of SolarMoon transpire BECAUSE of this fact.

But y'all...

I'm mostly pissed because I am having to delay progress on a thumbnail to have to type this out and yet I still feel the need to.

At the end of the day people like what they like. The ship isn't gonna affect the show in any way because it's never going to happen.

I've been such a fan of your stuff ever since you first came onto youtube, I actually saw your speeddraws and got into the show!

I'm kinda confused though, and I thought, why not ask my idol for help!

Yknow the whole aphobe thing and stuff- is it wrong that I like to ship Moon with other characters? I keep it mainly platonic love and nothing crazy, but is that wrong? I don't want to be doing something that hurts the aroace community.

I still struggle with understanding asexuals and aroace people, but I do have a little grasp on it. I just need a little guidance and if I'm doing something offensive, I'll stop.

It's alright if you ship Moon with people, but you have to keep in mind that TSAMS MOON SPECIFICALLY have been said to be aspec

Meaning he feels very little or no attraction at all. Of course, Aspec people can still date/have sex. What matters is that you incorporate the fact Moon is aspec into your ship <3 (for example, making him hesitant to get into the relationship or making it a VERY SLOW BURN)

You can ship whatever you want, but we just ask that you keep in mind that he IS canonically aspec, though we don't know which kind

So far, a majority of the Tumblr and even the Twitter audience has been cool.

Weirdly, it's the YouTube audience who is mean and relentless.

Especially young people in the animation/animatic community for tsams which shocked me a bit. (I've heard not good things about the "tsams animatic community" often from people who leave it due to weird drama all the time.)

It's why Bruja ended up ultimately deleted comments for their SolarMoon videos. Just cause people on YouTube couldn't play nice.

However, it being YouTube, and YouTube having the youngest demographic and knowing the type of people who comment on YouTube videos, I am not that surprised.

A bit disappointed, yeah.

But if you ever get a weird Anon asking you about shipping discourse in tsams.... Or feverishly complaining like "I'm glad you understand the show is about family dynamics and not the shipping freaks" It's probably the Anon I delt with. Don't give them your time.

Because of "Earth's Therapy Session with...EARTH?! in VRCHAT" episode where both Solar and Earth confirmed that Solar is their cousin, those anons owe you and the other artists they harassed an apology. I looked into another artist they harassed and they claimed to use the "Solar isn't their cousin. He hates being in their family" (obviously misinformation) because that's what a well-known sams blog said. I looked into that sams blog they're talking about because those anon named them and my god, no wonder those anon were so brainwashed. That well-known sams blog is always so loud about their interpretations and thinks they're always right, shutting down other people's interpretations just because. Since they're the root cause of this misinformation, that blog should apologize to you and the other artists too! They shouldn't be allowed to get away with what they've done.

Now that they've been proven wrong, they don't own up to this shit they started. I don't care what some big blog says. So we got a total of four episodes confirming Solar really is a brother to Moon, Earth, Lunar, and Sun. Moon even made it clear that Solar wasn't a friend, he's a brother. Now, I'm even more bitter that I got harassed for literally and blissfully drawing canon celestial family. That harassment I received really demotivated me from drawing. And it's making me even more bitter that those harassers and their presumably "leader" blog who has a lot of followers aren't acknowledging that they were wrong and that they were spreading misinformation about Solar hating being part of the family/joking about being a cousin/being just a family friend. We didn't deserve that harassment. None of us artists and writers deserved that. Personally, it really messed with me mentally

one of my mutuals has literally gotten into severe drama, and i feel awful for them, really i do, yet at the same time i'm just- relieved?? that i wasn't caught in the crossfire since i've left??? that sounds awful to say but idk
