After watching the episode 'Gone With the Wand' again, I've noticed that Cordelia seems like a very lenient and enabling parent. She knows that her daughter is going through a stealing 'phase', but acts like 'Oh, kids will be kids' and refuses to scold her or teach her it's wrong.

Cedric, on the other hand, tried to make his neice understand that she can't just take whatever she wants from others, and that her actions had major consequences for them all after Merlin's nemesis Morgana showed up and stole the wand from them. He went to tenderly comfort her at first when she was upset about it ("Oh... there, there, little one; it's all right") before quickly going "I mean, no, it's not all right!" and then trying to emphasize that stealing is wrong, especially given the mess it landed them in ("Calista, you can't just take things like that!")

It seems that Cedric definitely has a more 'Spare the wand, spoil the child' mindset (not necessarily talking about physical discipline- mostly just really trying to get across how certain things are wrong and have consequences for everyone involved, instead of coddling and enabling the child).

It's something I can see Cedric arguing about with his sister, honestly.
