hello anon, i'm glad u asked bc i felt like it would be awkward to bring up unprompted

i have a lot of complicated feelings, but most of all i am really concerned for masa's well-being, bc he posted some kind of disturbing vent art before completely vanishing and its been over a week and there has been no activity at all from his account and idk. i just have a bad feeling he has hurt himself..

this isn't me DEFENDING him though, i feel like i should make that very clear if anyone's been on twitter, you've probably seen the thread that was made basically listing all the things masa's done that are bad and i agree with some parts, but others i really don't get

for example: masa's drawn weird stuff involving kids! nothing that could be classified as CP, but still weird nonetheless, and i don't like it at all! this is including adult patch, which i wish i could forget the existence of bc i legit never looked at the lyrics until very recently. it's also important to mention that he hasn't drawn anything like that (to my knowledge) since 2013... almost 10 years ago. so i don't think he's about that anymore, but it's still something that definitely happened

there's also many people parroting the idea that masa doxxed a minor, which is FALSE. he never did anything of the sort. what DID happen was masa brought attention to a person illegally streaming the spider and the kitsune-like lion, and tried to ask him to take it down to no avail. people then sent him personal information on the guy (via DMs) and he essentially was going to use it to take legal action. it may seem harsh, but this person's reupload had almost a million plays on spotify and was actively profiting off of a song that a) masa owns and b) masa wants gone from the internet more than any song he's ever made. eventually, masa apologized on twitter, saying that his fans were never supposed to see this and that it wasn't supposed to go down this way. he deleted all the tweets relating to the spotify guy too.

theres a bunch of other stuff i could get into but it would make this post WAY TOO LONG!! so i'm not unless someone asks abt something specific

one last thing: the reactions i've seen from some 'fans' after his meltdown (idk what else to call it) are fucking disgusting. i've seen ppl say that he's overreacting, that its just bait, or just actively making fun of him for it without a shred of empathy. he very clearly has something going on mentally and we have no idea what his personal life is like, so it's just cruel to act like that. people like that have no conscience and i don't respect them at all

more than anything, i believe in giving people second chances and if/when masa comes back, i am willing to continue being a fan as long as he doesn't pretend like nothing happened. still, i'm really concerned that he won't come back :((

Uhm I HAVENT been active on this account in so long since I started to recover. (This will have bad punctuation and GRAMMER bc like cmon this is tumblr)

I stopped obsessing over my Ed and im honestly so much happier, I know THERES nothing I can say to get anyone with this sick mental disease to suddenly “fix” them bc I know how annoying an pointless it can be. I now look back on my mental state and I was so far gone from my true self:( I never got to a dangerously low weight but that ISNT necessary to have an Ed, I’ve been scrolling on my old saved tags, liked posts, search history and im luckily not an easily triggered person but there was that lingering feeling and voice that wanted to go back. I hope and wish everyone recovery because everyone deserves it<3 I ruined relationships, grades, and my health for something that wasnt worth it. I know reading this will have no effect on ur disorder bc you’ve probably heard this a million times before (I GET IT IVE BEEN THERE)

The amount of ppl I hurt with my Ed, how selfish I was and saw everyone as a competition definitely had its karma. I know it may be hard to believe but YOU DO HAVE SOMEONE THAT CARES FOR YOU AND IT HURTS THEM SEEING YOU LIKE THIS this ISNT to guilt trio or anything like that its more like maybe for realization. If you DONT have that person You WILL meet them someday please just keep fighting. So, about that karma it came and hit me so hard. if the ONLY shit that retains value is premium/paid content then of course the economies fucked bc the only ppl who can make longterm value investment are those who are already well off. limited/retiring item earned from special prizes, chance event, quests, & gaemplay are essential for allowing ftp players to still get itmes that appreciate in value & be able to keep on par with premium paying users (bc then even if they dont spend money they can still have item that ppl will want).

part of dvs economy being so shit is bc u cannot "play the market" much the way u mgiht some other games. literally nearly every item is either 1. completely worthless junk that will return every year & already exists in abundance OR  2. its paid premium shit that only gets traded for other paid premium shit. rarely are there any "mid tiere value" items in between that can be leveraged by folk in the middle.

i think in retaliation to customs & monthies seeming too inacessible we went so far in the other direction that now all other items is TOO acessible which only makes the problem worse (if the ONLY valuable items are super hard to get or paid, then its impossible for ppl who dont have acess to those to "work their way up". if this was balanced by having more free/cheap to get yet also valuable items, then custom & monthlies would actually become MORE  acessible to the avg player bc they could get their hands on non-monthly non-custom items that still genuinely have value & could be traded for higher value thing.)

limited item does not always = bad & exclusionary. it can be a part of healthy economy & even a way to help limit exclusivity by giving ftp players economic mobility just for actually playing the game.

i think when ppl talk abt wanting more limited items they mean stuf like this. not more monthiles. but shit that can serve as ACTUAL reward for gameplay. right now participating in event, story quests, & even getting random chance pop up are all boring/un exciting bc once u have one set of the item thats all u ever need, theyre all worthless, retain no value, & nothing feels like an actual sruprise or a reward. theres no incentive to participate bc everything is easy & already handed to u.

dv userbase seems to be such weird mix... ppl who want to own every single item in the game with no effort & no exclusiveity but then also complain abt there being nothing to do, no long term gameplay goals, event reward feel lacking, & how boring it is between content drops. but usually part of the motivation/goals & participation feeling worthwhile on other games is BC u have to work a lil to collect things. exctiement of earning prize that gain in value, making sure ur present to collect event rewards bc the ones will be diffrent next year, new itme u strategize to trade for. & when u lack all of that ofc its gonna feel more boring.

hey lol! im guessing u havent seen any of my other posts abt vegetarism- but ill sum them up for you! i agree with u 100%! Personally, my parents raised me vegetarian- and I do have a lot of privilage that led me to that situation. I personally believe that converting people to veganism is not ok. I believe that if people have the resources- they should be able to make ethical choices- but if they dont, i wont blame the victims of a society that prioritizes money over human and animal wellbeing. That post was specifically for the demographic that can be vegetarian or vegan- but perhaps do not have the resources to go zero-waste or something that is so costly like that. I believe that veganism can be cheap, but even that cheap is still much more than some people can afford. I do however, know several people who are poor who would like to go vegan, and i would like to encourage them that they dont have to go the super costly path. But in the end, its a personal choice. The idea for me is not that everyone needs to choose ecofriendly options, because that would be unfair to those who cannot afford to, or cannot do so due to medical, religous or any other reasons. The idea is that those who have the resources, and are willing, should have more education on how to make these choices. Growing up in vegetarian circles, ive seen so much classism towards those who cannot go as ecofriendly as others. I recognize my privlege. My family is vegetarian, we raise our own chickens and ducks, we have a compost pile, a large vegetable garden and a eletric car. those are all things that most people dont have, or cant have. But i feel that if people do decide to make these choices, i would like to educate them that theres not one way. im not gonna force anyone to be a vegan, thats terrible and rude. but i am gonna say that there are alternatives to beyond meat burgers and whole foods. and as i end this, im going to say. there are ethical ways to eat meat. there are nonethical ways to be vegan. Its not linear. I dont want anyone to see me as someone who is trying to convert. I want to inform of choices. I am first invested in the wellbeing of the people around me. Ideally, people would be able to have everything they need to survive for free. I acknowlegde that bc these arent the way things are, i cant pretend it is how society fuctions. I cant pretend i have it worse or even as bad as a lot of other people. Im white, im from a middle class family, as well as a million other privileges that lie underneath those. But some vegans have ideas that are so unethical i want to make sure that people see me as someone who advocates for choice and not for shaming those who cannot make choices.

I have recently passed my driving test (3 days ago!) and will be buying a car ASAP as I have a job lined up and have just left school. I've tried tens of comparison sites and even rang some insurance companies direct to try and get a better quote... I have looked at the smallest possible engine size, that being 0.8l and 1l engines. I've looked at cars such as FORD KA, Vauxhall Corsa, Nissan Micra, Renault Clio and a few others too. The cheapest quote I have found for all of the cars is for a 2000 Ford KA 1.3l 3dr 4 seats (the smallest KA engine size possible) and that price was 3,800 paying monthly with a company called My Policy . However, I have used various other KA registration plates all the same engine size but some being 2003 models or 2005 and the insurance jumps to over 6,000! I haven't found another FORD KA cheaper than 5,500 and obviously if I can't get that one particular car out of the thousands for sale that insurance quote will be invalid anyway. Basically, I've tried everything. Adding named drivers (with lots of driving experience 30+ years), putting my car in a locked garage, on the road, tried different cars - models, registration plates, ages, engine sizes, and not to forget the countless comparison sites. The funny thing is with MyPolicy I went onto their site directly to get a quote and they were unable to give me a quote when entering exactly the same information into the Tiger.co.uk comparison site, that site brought up the 3,800 quote with MyPolicy but when I use their site directly they can't give me a quote... I know insurance is based on MANY factors, believe me I understand that. I tried entering different post codes (just out of curiosity) and it did help, but only fractionally. It just seems (other than the 1 obscure quote of 3,800 on ONE car, out of the 100+ I've tried) that I can't get a quote cheaper than 5,000 for a car with the smallest engine size and insurance group possible... I'm 19 years old and have have been driving for over 2 years with my dads car using secondary insurance. Last year I really got into motorcycles and after riding a couple on back roads, I want to get one this year. I like the look and feel of an older motorcycle. I want to get something from the 80's. So far my most favourite bike I've ridden is a 1979 Honda with a 125 motor I believe. I don't care for speed, I like cruising. I'm more into chrome and chopperish feel. I'm a full time college student and I found that they offer motorcycle driving training there in the summer. Since I'm a student I will get a good discount. On top of that the parking at school for motorcycles is only $20 a month whereas I pay $7 a day for car parking. I live in Ontario, Canada which probably has the highest rates in the country. I currently pay $100/month for secondary. It used to be $150 but since I've proven to be accident free, they brought it down for me. Primary car insurance on the other hand is more like $300 or more per month for me. So do I have a good case here? 1. Older bike which won't need full coverage 2. I own the bike 3. Now as this is his personnel car and gets 45 miles to the gallon you can understand why he wants to keep using it to get to work. From a legal standpoint, as this is a personnel auto and the other driver is required to carry general libility to cover damage to aother peoples autos. Can a insurance company require him to just settle for the 1,500 dollar value of the car. Or total the car. Or do they have some kind of loop hole. How is it they can require a third party to settle on there terms? As he is not the orginator of the policy, he did not enter into a contract with the insurance provider.
