Spoiling is contagious #It's pretty hard to catch tho unless it progresses to the skin which is pretty rare - or if infected blood gets into an uninfected system #Again! But not impossible #The best thing a Spoiled resident can do is rest - cool down - and eat foods rich in protein :) #Which is like the JD equivalent of bitter medicine lol - the stereotype of ''Ew Broccoli''? Yeah everyone in the JD universe feels that way #Ironic since I love broccoli but it's icky-bitter to JD residents! Haha - candied vegetables are an acquired-enjoyable taste tho :) #And carrots are obviously a very popular ingredient lol #But yeah - a lot of JD things are the opposite of how humans do like staying warm to fight sickness #Staying warm will make Spoiling progress faster and overwhelm a resident's system! The best thing to do is rest somewhere cold #Spoiling is much less common in winter as you can imagine :) #And just like Melting some foods are less prone to Spoiling than others - it's a bit less straightforward than Melting tho lol #Partially because it depends way more on the life habits of the resident rather than their inherent traits #But some foods are unusually delicate! And some keep forever! It's not dependent on ''soft'' foods or even sugar content! #Preservatives aren't really a thing in the JD universe - antibodies? a moment of joy in days of tired darkness!!!

#i complain way too much here so sharing my triumphs <3 #(taking a page from songbird because i want to be more like her) #getting home from work today i was able to get ALL of my chores done!!! #i loooved having my friend stay with me for a week i truly needed the break and she’s such a blessing <3 #(we bought ‘soul sisters’ matching bracelets - hers gold and mine silver - and the statement couldn’t be more true 🥹) #but in that i let my room get VERY messy #and i was busing working yesterday and didn’t have time (literally cried on my way home because of how tired i was) #so i made it a goal to do everything tonight so tomorrow (my one day off) i may relax! #so i was able to clean my room; do two loads of laundry; wash my bedding; vacuum; water my plants; and tidy my bathroom!! #it may not sound like much but it was a MESS #also i did my nails cause they broke :( #so now they are VERY short (had to cut them) and i painted a few coats of clear nail polish so hopefully they won’t break #i have to get gas and get my oil changed and exchange some icecream tomorrow morning #but then i’m just gonna relax!!! #would like to change my themes but we shall see. i want to watch tv and read mostly #also i’m gonna stop in and book a hair appointment for next week!! #that’s right i’m gonna chop off my hair #it’s been years and i didn’t get it trimmed as it was growing out so i have lots of split and dead ends #and if i have to get it cut i may as well just go all the way yknow #i love having short hair and i’m lowkey excited #and i work 6 days after that but thankfully i booked myself for opening shifts which leaves my evenings free to myself which i really love

Tiny shelf for the cookbooks is built. I'll adjust the shelves as I start unpacking them. I learned today that I'm starting to develop an allergy to one of the woods being used in particle board furniture; it's fine once it's built but my hands itch while putting them together so I'm going to have to start wearing gloves.

Month 4, day 27, decided to give Knell a Rheddig mask to see how it looks and, uh, as it turns out, I made her head too tall XD I also need to get more references for the mask, because I think I didn't a few details quite right. Namely the shape and curve of the beak and the eye motifs. But that's okay! This is a learning process, and the mask is in its own group so I can hide the whole thing without losing it lol

#i did not eat dinner sry cringe fail flop etc i was too scared to leave the bedroom bc #the rest of my apt is rly stressing me out im normal 👍👍 #so i didnt want to leave the comfort of my room bc even tho its not that clean or nice or tidy its the most tidiest place in here #my living room is cluttered w my suitcase and bags i need to unpack and i dont put them in my room bc the room is too small nd itd like #clutter it so its all just in mg living room #plus all the stuff in my closet i had to take out cuz scared the water nd moisture from leak will spread to rest of wall and get everything #wet nd my sister made me paranoid abt bugs gstting attracted to all fhe moisture and or breeding 👍 #so i tried to be preventative and took everything out plus when maintenance comes on wednesday #i need to have the space cleared anyway when they hopefully fix the wall #and this big ass fan maintenance gave me is in the hallway outside my room pointed toward the ceiling nd #its so loud i got used to it but its louder when im outside my bedroom and kind of over stimulating #but im trying not to be affected and also just staying in my room where its still loud and audible but less if i was outside i guess #and my bathroom needs to be cleaned but the leak above my shower is grossing me out etc #and idk i havent eben checked if everything has stopped leaking i rly hope so😭😭 #so anyway im just hiding in my room bc its the least stressful place for me rn but i also didnt eat dinnerso i feel delirious rn👍
