Down and Out
phic phight prompts taken from @sillysugargliders and @akela-nakamura
“Technowizard!” Tuck declared, pointing up towards the glass ceiling. The ratty Hack-A-Thon tee-shirt and Star Wars print pants did not an imposing outfit make.
Sam’s avocado-coated face barely even looked up from her phone. “Lame.”
“The Finest Pharoah!” Tucker tried again, glaring straight down at Sam as he posed again— this time, with his other hand.
“Cringe,” was Sam’s bland contribution.
Tucker threw both his hands in the air in sheer exasperation, narrowly avoiding sending Sheila2 flying up into the air with them. “The— oh shoot— the Tech Menace! The Electric Enemy!”
“Makes you sound like a bit-rate villain,” Sam drawled, finishing out her level of tetris with perfect accuracy. She clicked off the phone before she could get suckered in. “Tucker, have you considered any good names? At all?”
Fair revenge was fair revenge, and Tucker didn’t want to waste his own pillow on vengeance. Using Sam’s bamboo-woven pillowcase against her facemask was fair game— and her shriek of rage over the smeared facemask was just desserts.
Tucker eventually lost, of course, smothered underneath the very same pillow he’d assaulted his friend with, but hey; he’d given it his all, and that was what mattered in the end.
Winning would be nice, though. You know. One day.
In the meantime, though, they were squatting in Sam’s greenhouse, reclining on air mattresses on recycled wooden palettes. It was kind of cold— Tucker was glad Sam had thought ahead and brought blankets— but there were no bugs, and there was no rain, even if there were frogs singing bleakly outside glass walls throughout the night.
Sam was good at pretending it didn’t bother her.
Tucker knew it had to, though. Sam was used to having things. Being comfortable. Having her bamboo toothbrush and toothpaste tabs at the ready, with her natural fiber blankets and her desktop computer and a credit card that would solve the majority of her problems.
Instead they had used the cheapest versions of everything at the dollarstore. Abrasive discount soap. Deodorant with added aluminum. They’d brushed their teeth at the spigot where the hose screwed on, and tomorrow they’d wash with the hose the same way.
Card could be traced. Tucker was the only one who’d been carrying cash in the moment.
Man, Tucker thought, tunnelling himself under his blankets. Running away sucked. At least the only thing Tucker had to miss was his parents. And his spare parts.
…He hoped his parents weren’t looking for him. The "proper authorities" had probably already informed them he was infected. They should…they should hopefully know that being gone was safer than being there.
Sam’s black-nailed thumb and green-coated face peeked at him from under the covers. Without his glasses, she mostly looked like a blob, so Tucker just waved. He wanted to be social. He wanted to be happy.
It felt like everything was falling apart through his fingers, and there wasn’t anything he could do about it.
“Hey,” Sam said. “If you want to charge your tech, I’m out of the plug.”
It was a sweet gesture. “Thanks,” was all Tucker could say. But he didn’t want to leave his cave.
Sam, of all people, knew what level of trust the gesture meant when Tucker gave his phone over to her. She didn’t say anything, but she didn’t have to; it was the same level of trust Sam was showing to him by letting them stay here, together, instead of apart, the way Jazz had originally planned.
Running away properly would have been safer. But here, in this moment, they were warm, and safe, and somewhat fed.
Tucker stuck his face into his pillow and thought It doesn’t get much better than this.
…Man, it was supposed to be roast beef dinner tonight. He was missing out!
“...I still think that Technowizard is a cool name,” Tucker grumbled to himself. Sam shot him a fond, if exasperated look.
“No.”
“Fine, bossy. What did you pick?”
“Foxglove,” Sam replied simply. “Most famous poisonous plant in the Western world. It’s poetic.”
Tucker thought on it. It…had merit, but… “You know people are going to shorten it to Foxy, right?”
Sam paused.
…She set her phone down with clear disgust. “Ugh. I hate that you’re right.”
“I’ll never let you down,” Tucker offered, very seriously. “I’m always right.”
Sam pulled the blanket back down over him until he squawked in indignation.
“Okay,” Sam’s voice came in muffled through their blanket barrier. “Maybe we can both hold off on names until we decide how we’re doing this, exactly.”
This, of course, being their new life on the run— ideally, taking down the GIW and their hold on Amity Park, or in the short run, cutting and ditching in every effort to not get captured. Their plan so far wasn’t much better than “wait for Danny to get home from Space Camp”, but, you know…needs are as they must. Or something.
“How about Cryptid?” Tucker offered, poking his head out of his blanket hovel. His glasses were…somewhere, but no matter where he groped for them, his hands still came up empty. “Short. Simple. Lots of hard consonants. Easy to muddy up in an internet search with other information. They’d be looking for you and find, like, the Entfield Horror.”
Sam gave that thought its due while Tucker found his glasses. “It’s…better than Inviso-Bill for sure.”
Okay, that one was worth the laugh.
“You could try Technomage,” Sam tried out in turn. "It would be like naming a snake 'snake', since you’re going through magical puberty or whatever, but…”
Tucker snorted. Magical puberty.
…But.
She’d been the first to notice when Tucker hadn’t even needed to touch Edna (PDA of the month) to write her new programs in class. She’d taped over his stylus to prove it to him— and Tucker hadn’t even noticed with the weight of a phantom stylus in his hand as he coded telepathically. Realizing he hadn’t been tapping any of the buttons had been. Spooky.
His phone didn’t need a SIM card anymore. He was saving his family a lot on outgoing and ingoing calls, apparently, and the reported number of texts they’d had to pay for was a big fat goose egg.
Also, he was pretty sure someone was emailing him at the moment.
…He wasn’t sure how he knew. But. It kind of tasted like blue raspberry. It was probably Danny’s sister.
So. Um. the magical puberty thing hadn’t been too off track. It had certainly been less subtle than Sam’s newfound ability to speak with plants, but…at least talking to your flowerpots looks normal from the outside looking in.
Apparently lawn mowing day at school gave Sam real trauma, though. Finding her in the nurses’ office with her head buried under her denim jacket had been scary.
“Better than nothing,” Tucker begrudgingly agreed. He left his glasses wherever they were; he’d find them in the morning. “I mean. We technically don’t even need names. If we just start breaking their stuff, they’ll probably name us anyway.”
Sam laughs. The green on her face is gone; she likely wiped her mask off when Tucker couldn’t see. “With you hacking their stuff?”
“And you growing your freaky vines out of their gear,” Tucker added. “The…what’s the one. The one that ate that one house?”
Sam leans her head down onto Tucker’s mattress. Her clean, damp face swims into view. “Oh. The kudzu?”
“Uh huh.”
“Yeah, I can cultivate that— not here, since it grows so fast. Did you know Kudzu’s supposed to be eaten? People usually take it off the roadside in China for an easy food source. That’s why it overtakes so much stuff here: there’s no one taking on the role of its natural predator.”
Huh. Well, sounded like something Sam would know. Tucker wedged his pillow further underneath his head; Sam’s still had some goop on it, so he gave her his extra blanket instead.
Sam stuffed it underneath her head with no issue. Without her purple lip and filled in brows, she just looked like Sam— just like a girl in his class, who wanted to make the world a better place, and didn’t know how to do it.
Tucker wanted to do better too.
But they wouldn’t do it alone. They’d be better off with Danny than without.
“All we have to do is make it until Danny comes back. And then we can reconvene.”
…And then what?
“And then?” Tucker asked, a little too quiet.
Sam had never backed down from a challenge. She never would. “And then we kick ass.”
Well. When she said that, it was all so simple.
The lights clicked out in the greenhouse, and just in time— the outside started to burst with light and sound as agents tore up the road outside the Manson property.
The door was locked. The daisies at the door and the wispy strings-of-hearts would give them more than enough warning if the agents swept through.
It was bedtime, or good enough as.
Sleep wasn’t restful, but the quality of the night didn’t matter; it only had to get them to the next day.

Read the FAQ Zine ▶
I put the zine I made last year on my website. It took me a full year to find a permanent home for it, because I have the brainweird that makes the focus bad, and I’ve been consistently busy since last year. But hey, better late than never.
This project was inspired by the work of Potawatomi botanist Robin Wall Kimmerer. During an interview with On Being, Kimmerer relates the story of a certain question that she asks her students:
“In talking with my environment students, they wholeheartedly agree that they love the earth. But when I ask them the question of “Does the earth love you back?” there’s a great deal of hesitation and reluctance and eyes cast down, like, oh, gosh, I don’t know. Are we even allowed to talk about that? That would mean that the earth had agency and that I was not an anonymous little blip on the landscape, that I was known by my home place.
So it’s a very challenging notion, but I bring it to the garden and think about the way that when we, as human people, demonstrate our love for one another, it is in ways that I find very much analogous to the way that the earth takes care of us, is when we love somebody, we put their wellbeing at the top of a list and we want to feed them well. We want to nurture them. We want to teach them. We want to bring beauty into their lives. We want to make them comfortable and safe and healthy. That’s how I demonstrate love, in part, to my family, and that’s just what I feel in the garden [laughs], as the earth loves us back in beans and corn and strawberries. Food could taste bad. It could be bland and boring, but it isn’t. There are these wonderful gifts that the plant beings, to my mind, have shared with us. And it’s a really liberating idea to think that the earth could love us back, but it also opens the notion of reciprocity that with that love and regard from the earth comes a real deep responsibility.”
- “The Intelligence of Plants,” with Robin Wall Kimmerer and Krista Tippett
I posed Kimmerer’s question to some of my online circles. Their responses are recorded in this zine, accompanied by the work of many photographers, and my own art.
I am many of thoughts and short of words right now, just as I was a year ago. Mostly I’m tremendously touched and grateful for those who participated. You have put words to environmental grief that I often struggle to articulate, and affirmed my belief that we all hold poetry inside of us—we just need the time and space to express it.

Why are you against taylor swift? I'm just curious.
❤️- Aurora
OK! so basically
1. I just don’t like her music, like I find it rlly bland
2. Her actions rlly suck:
Like:
Saying she stands with victims of SA, even posing on a times magazine cover for #metoo but recently she’s been such good friends with Brittany Mahomes, who told victims of SA to ‘just shut up’ (for context Britanny’s brother in law is accused of SA)
Taylor, by hanging out with Brittany sm, has given her a lot more publicity, which is gross to me. Jackson Mahomes, the guy with all the SA claims against him, is someone who she’s also been seen buddying up with, taking selfies and high fiving
Taylor dated Matty Healy, a known racist, who said awful things about black and POC women. While Taylor broke up with him, she never addressed his behaviour.
She makes a choice to hang out with these people, people who harm vulnerable communities, which leads to her (majority white and young) fandom thinking it’s ok)
Taylor Swift, as you probably heard, has huge carbon emissions. Like huge. She unnecessarily uses her private jet for useless trips.
When 1 person tried to make her climate use more public, they allegedly got sued, claims TS hasn’t yet disputed.
Taylor also sued a blogger who demanded that she denounce white supremacy in 2017
Why was this blogger asking that she denounce white supremacy? Bc swifties, as a fanbase, has some very toxic elements
As a POC, I don’t rlly feel safe in swiftie spaces (especially the ones on Twitter) bc her fandom has a tendency to go after people who don’t like her, especially POC. (Luke going after travis kelces ex, being rude about the Latina’s who criticised TS response to a girl dying at one of her concerts)
I know, ofc that not every swiftie is racist and white, but her fanbase can be, and it does affect the POC who try to criticise her.
Taylor has also done nothing to stop the harassment of her ex Joe Alwyn, with some ven saying she leads her fandom on with the way she releases her songs. If ur fandom is telling ur ex: if I were u I’d kill myself?’ Let get a hold on them!
She’s a billionaire. Enough said.
All in all, you can like her music and vibe to it, TS is someone who you can separate the art from the artist pretty well, unlike some others (cough JK Rowling, cough) but be a critical fan.

being about unhinged headcannons is kinda my entire thing so with that this in mind i am about to say something truly terrible. Given PIDW in universe was generic stallion novel with given it's popularity and the nature of light novels/web novels in general is it safe to assume to Shen Yuan's exposure to Binghe through official art had the man drawn with (and do forgive me for saying this) the same energy and vibes as the tall mature kirito protagonist variant. And here's the thing I KNOW that is fundamentally not our boy as any of OUR art portrays him. But consider that art style for male characters varies between work genres. Like a novel targeted for mostly cis het males looking for sex and violence is going to have different art than high girly romance with a lot of smoochie smoochie meow meow sparkle. So it is completely possible for Luo Binghe to be handsome but bland in the way only this specific archetype can be in all of the official art work. Because the emphasis is on them TIDDIES. So I think PIDW would probably have the most boring book covers. The ones where there's like one of the harem girls on the front in a cute pose and then our boy's just holding his sword looking cool or he's got one in his arms mid catch. You have seen this novel cover in stores and it never makes you wanna actually pick up the book.
Baby Luo Binghe straight up has just generic anime guy art. He's bland wonderbread character design until the abyss and then he becomes long wonderbread with eyeliner and blood. What this would mean is fanart never features him obvious but also it becomes a whole debate about what does Luo Binghe look like in fanart and the inevitable market of nsfw works. It becomes a whole thing of telling artists apart by how they draw him and arguments about what is the CORRECT BINGGE!!
And you bet your ass Shen Yuan has opinions on that shit. Man absolutely has a headcannon for Luo Binghe. Absolutely has his own designs and ideas which is why i think the juxtaposition of seeing him post transmigration is so funny. Like imagine seeing this guy after reading the novel and be like 'that's just an incredibly cute fluffy child!'. Huh, real human features i hadn't considered. Like he sees the protagonist get a pimple because like it's puberty. Everyone gets pimples and is floored. He's in awe that it's even possible. He's completely shook by the fact that Luo Binghe is actually handsome after years of having a specific imagine in mind that does not promote that which only adds to his gay panicking. He's already internalized the concept the protagonist will be the most attractive person but actually seeing it and then having to compare everyone else around him...
Man is just like dial up noises. All around.

The Cullens’ house fascinated you. How a place was so open and light when it could pose a risk to all of them. How they felt so safe in the woods that they let down all guards. It was a sunny day and the curtains were drawn up.
You were glad when Jacob wasn’t in the house when you awoke. With your dad at the docks and Jacob already with Bella you didn’t have to think of a lie in case someone asked where you were going.
You requested that Edward move the piano more into the light while you sat in the windowsill drawing him. You wanted to see how his skin glittered. It was something you heard of but didn’t get to see. Edward hated it until he saw himself through your thoughts. Alice smiled slowly seeing glimpses of you in her visions again. The more you and Edward connected, the more the wolf let Alice in.
Edward looked at the golden anklet that sparkled like his skin. He noticed it the first time you came over after ending it with Embry:
You carefully snuck out of the house. Jacob and your dad knew you were going shopping in Seattle, Angela wanted to redo her bedroom. Or at least that’s the lie the pack was told. Embry offered to come with but you told him next time, when you were shopping for your own bedroom.
You purposely stomped in the stream that separated Cullen and Quileute territory, whatever threw people off your scent. No one was supposed to be on a patrol the whole morning— it was a rest day— but you weren’t taking chances.
You rung the doorbell to the Cullen house. Edward opened, happy to see you. He honestly didn’t expect you back so soon.
“You cut your hair.” He took a strand between his fingers.
“Do you not like it?”
You rolled your eyes at your own question. You sounded just like Jake who had grown it out a little bit after Bella mused one day she liked it long. Sometimes the imprint made you sound more needy than you would like.
“It suits you. Would you like to come in?”
All the other Cullens were waiting in the living room. It felt nice to see the siblings you hadn’t seen since you became a wolf, as well as finally meet Edward’s adoptive mother Esme. Edward gave you a house tour. You ended at his room.
“You have quite the music collection.”
“I’ve had time to collect.”
One of Edward’s walls was lined with bookshelves filled with records and CDs. You picked out a record from your favorite artist and gently placed it on the record machine, moving the needle onto the vinyl. You sat down on the large bed as the music started. By the window, you spotted a minifridge— newly installed. If Edward could blush he would as you scrutinized every bit of his room.
“When are they expecting you back?”
“They’re not. They think I’m shopping with Angela in Seattle. I’m all yours today.”
You poked around the minifridge picking out a small container of raspberries and an iced coffee drink.
“That’s going to have food every time, right?” you asked as you walked back to the bed, where Edward had finally taken a seat.
Edward chuckled. “I’ll make sure it’s fully stocked.” He picked up a raspberry to feed you.
“What would happen if you ate real food? People food?” you asked after swallowing the fruit.
“It tastes like cardboard. Bland and with no nutrition. On people food alone I’d starve.”
You nodded in contemplation. Edward grabbed your hand, hot to the touch. Vampires were sensitive to heat, your high temperature a solid defense mechanism against them. Every touch was like liquid fire but he welcomed it. The same way you welcomed the chill to your bones wherever he touched your skin. Edward kissed your fingertips.
“Ed, stop looking at me and turn back to the piano,” you whined.
“I thought you already finished the sketch.”
“Your skin. The sparkles, I need you to stay still to catch the sunlight right… thank you, Esme.”
Esme had placed a salad in front of you on the windowsill. Edward turned his head back to the original position you asked him to. You smiled up at him as he started playing Debussy’s “Reverie”, the piece had briefly crossed your mind.
The Cullens wanted to preserve the scene of the two of you forever as they looked on from the living room. Carlisle was the happiest, all his children had found their mates. Maybe it was because they knew you before you shifted or just because you were Edward’s blood singer, but they didn’t even care that you were a wolf. You set down the marker and flipped the sketchbook around.
“Does my hair really look like that?”
“You use a lot of product.”
Edward smiled as he walked over to you. He fiddled at the anklet on your left foot. You let Edward flip through your sketchbook while you ate the salad. There were many different pictures of your friends, family, the pack in wolf form. Doodles and still life. Random swatches from when you were testing out how colors blended together. Edward kissed you, enjoying the stinging heat against his lips. He pulled you into his lap so he could kiss you deeper.
“Soooo, do you want us to leave?” Emmett interrupted.
You and Edward laughed against each other’s lips. Unenthusiastically you pulled away from him when your phone rang, answering it without really paying attention.
“Hello?”
“(Y/N/N)? We still going to the beach?”
“Shoot, yeah we’re still going Embry. Sorry, had a late start today. Everything’s a bit behind.”
When you said Embry, Edward’s hands involuntarily gripped your hips tighter. The Cullens all snapped their heads in your direction.
“No problem,” Embry said. You could picture him shrugging his shoulders.
“I’m not at the house right now, um—”
“Yeah I know, I’m outside it right now. No one’s home. Do you need me to pick you up? Where are you?”
“No, no,” you said hurriedly.
“I’m at Jessica’s… yeah the one looking at colleges on the east coast. Yeah, said I’d help her sort through options so I took my car… mmm, she’s not super far. Give me thirty minutes? Cool, there’s a slightly discolored panel on the side of the garage door, do you see it… yeah? The spare key is taped to the other side if you just wiggle it a little. Wait in the garage, it’s nicer than the porch, and there’s snacks. I’ll see you in a bit. K, bye.”
You hung up the phone and looked back to a slightly disappointed Edward.
“You have to go now?”
“I promised Embry I’d go to the beach with him.”
“Is it really necessary? He doesn’t see you enough with the pack?”
Edward asked before he kissed you again. You didn’t have to be a mind-reader to know Edward felt a bit jealous. Embry needed quality time outside of the pack.
All imprints needed individual time to keep themselves strong and healthy. It’s why Jared visited Kim at college every now and then. Why after Paul imprinted on Rachel when she came to visit your family, he had to FaceTime her damn near every weekend.
“He’s my friend and it’s the beach. I’m his imprint, Edward.”
He frowned at your words even though he knew there was nothing he could do. He loved you unconditionally and he could hear it in all your thoughts that you felt the same. But he would always have to split his time with Embry. Edward felt selfish, he wanted them all to know so the two of you could be left alone. So you wouldn’t have to pull double duty. So he no longer had to think about you spending time with your wolf— who was trying his hardest to be what you wanted but wasn’t sure if he could. Alice didn’t like it because she couldn’t see you at all when you were with the wolves. You held your boyfriend’s face in your hands.
“And you’re mine. You know, Sam gave me a break from patrol for two days, I’ll come back after dinner. I’ll stay over.”
“They won’t look for you?”
“I’ll make something up. I really have to go now.” You pecked Edward on the forehead. “I need time to wash your stink off me.”
The Cullens all huffed out a laugh but Edward let you go.
You didn’t just tell Embry to wait in the garage because it was more comfortable than the porch. But because if he was in the garage he wouldn’t be able to see you pull up your car around the other side of your house and sneak in to change. You let out a breath in your room. The smell was gone now you just had to clear your mind of any thoughts of the Cullens. Embry popped up with a quickness when you appeared in front of the garage.
“I like the board shorts,” you joked.
Embry laughed as he locked up the garage and put the key back. It had been a week or two since the two of you were alone. The only thing that kept him in perfect condition were the few minutes when the pack was late showing up to Emily’s house and your feelings.
He had no clue what had your happiness on ten so much that he could feel it but he enjoyed it. Embry looked at the space between your hands. He desperately wanted to hold it but settled for placing both hands on your shoulders and leading you all the way to the beach.
You and Embry winked at each other before running full speed off of the tallest cliff at La Push’s First Beach. The water felt refreshing on impact. You both swam around, testing how long you could hold your breath underwater. When you got tired of swimming, you both laid out on towels on the sand. On the other side of the cliffs, you were hidden away from everyone. Embry and you talked about nothing and everything.
“Dinner, I was thinking we head down to Port Angeles. Catch a movie at that restaurant theater combo.”
“That’ll have us back home pretty late.”
“You have other plans?”
“No, I was just saying.”
“Hmm, you’re not wrong though. Just a suggestion and cause Bella asked.”
“Bella?” you turned your head to look at Embry who propped himself up on his elbows.
“Yeah, she and Jake are going there. She’s worried she’s taking too much time away from the wonder twins. You two used to do everything together.”
“I’m literally in that idiot’s head twenty-four seven. And we share a garage, I couldn’t escape Jacob if I wanted to.”
The two of you laughed. The incessant laughter made your stomach hurt and you both couldn’t stop until the wind blew by. You and Embry sat up, alert. The smell was undeniable. Vampire and not the good kind. You saw a flash of red hair fly by. Both you shifted. Embry howled to alert the pack. By the time you reached Emily’s everyone already knew what was happening.
When no one was paying attention, you ran back to the beach to grab your bag. You momentarily shifted back to text Edward what was happening and that you wouldn’t be over anymore. It didn’t matter that Bella wasn’t his mate. The Cullens had killed James for her. The wolves had killed Laurent. Victoria was coming for the Swan girl.

Sorry if this question is a bit dumb or anything, but how exactly do you get started with commissioning an artist?
ive wanted to commission you since comms have opened, and same goes for multiple other artists - but inbetween not having the money to spend on them, not knowing how to commission artists, safety tips/things to know to keep both sides safe and comfortable, etc etc im just a bit lost!!
do you have any advice or links or anything to where i could find some info on that kinda stuff? thank u so much in advance!! ^^
honestly i dont really know if there's a "proper" way to do it. here's usually what happens with me:
client: hi i'm messaging you directly somehow. hi. i want to commission you for my Thing me: hi thats epic ! do you know what size you're looking for? do you have any pictures of the Thing? client option A: yes i'm getting [size] and here's a picture of my Thing! me: ok great ! that will probably come up to [total]. i'll give you my paypal towards the end of me finishing and i can get started any time.
client option B: i dont know the size im looking for, but this is my description of what i want. me: ok ! well based on that, [size and total] is my suggestion because i think it will show all of the necessary detail but i can work with any size, we might just have to alter the pose/design slightly to make it work if it's smaller. let me know if this sounds okay to you and i can get started client: hmm that's still a little out of my budget i'll have to think about it me: no problem hmu if you have any questions or updates! <3
the only commissions i dont really like are ones where you have to put on a down payment before the artist has even started and then pay the other half when it's finished. i notice that only the really high-end artists do this and i understand completely, but for me, this just wastes my money by forcing me to pay to convert and send it. also, a lot of clients dont really like paying for something before it's even been started in general, which is reasonable.
that being said if you feel uncomfortable about commissioning someone, let them know upfront! be like "hey ive never commissioned someone before, im kinda nervous [about sending payments/talking/etc]" thats totally fine! decent artists will be more than happy to walk you through everything. hell even if it's not your first time, it's perfectly fine to be honest about being nervous. anything with Money Is Always Nervous !
a more social rule i dont break is changing my client's designs. re-posing a character? totally yes. re-designing the character or suggesting tips to make the character "better"? not really. i once commissioned an artist who told me my monochromatic character was too bland and literally refused to draw it unless i changed the eye colour or added 1 pop of colour. i tried explaining to her This Character Is Purposefully Not Colourful but she refused and basically just shit on my self-insert-sona for 10 minutes lol. minor design changes are completely fine (with approval from the design's owner) but "i think your character's ugly and i wont draw it until you agree to make it more beautiful to me personally" is really shitty. i guess, basically anything where the artist is making you feel weird/ugly/belittled/bad for whatever reason, but especially in the context of artistic design. a good artist isnt going to make you feel bad about what you asked them to draw no matter what it is. it's honestly really fucking weird to nitpick what someone else's personal character/design looks like anyways ..

Meghan a threat to the royals? That’s one way to sell a book of tawdry gossip
Catherine Bennett
The biographer Tom Bower makes no attempt at balance in a hit job on the Duchess of Sussex
Sat 23 Jul 2022 20.00 (CEST)
The respected biographer, Tom Bower, has been giving some extraordinary interviews about his new study of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. His book, the calmly entitled Revenge, is not merely, we learn, a comprehensively negative assessment of the couple: Bower would like it actively to damage them. “This book may hasten a downward trend at which I wouldn’t be sad at all,” he told an enchanted Piers Morgan, “because they pose a real threat to the royal family.”
The public should not, you gather, be reassured by the Sussexes’ departure, some time back, for California. Nor deceived by their very minor role at a jubilee widely considered a triumph for the royal family. Nor taken in by the couple’s replacement occupation, now they are non-working royals, of supplying bland, homiletic content to US clients. It is not enough that every display of Sussex sanctimony is already made safe by Bower’s tireless allies in the UK media, with an answering volley from royal experts and body language professionals. Harry’s recent address to the UN was, for instance, immediately brought down with blasts of Sarah Vine and, still struggling to get over Meghan’s ghosting, Piers Morgan.
Bower still scents danger from the deceptively dormant Meghan, “a very scheming, very clever woman”.
After watching her with Oprah, he concluded: “This woman is doing something quite terrible to Britain and Harry has fallen in love with her, you know, in a ludicrous way, and has gone along as her accomplice.” If only Harry had fallen in love with the former actress in a sensible way, like, say, Prince Charles did with his now-venerated Camilla Parker Bowles.
So if Bower’s book, no less than the related interviews, seems suffused with a wild malice, perhaps it comes from a good and loyal place. It is to give the Queen a “final happiness” (that “Meghan and Harry seem determined to deny”) that Bower, as well as detailing Meghan’s ex-lovers, her early hustling for acting roles and determined forging of a personal brand, is compelled to supplement his case against her with insults. He volunteers, for example, that when the former Suits star was interviewed by Larry King, “Meghan looked unusually unattractive with greasy hair, rumpled clothes and peaky eyes”. Finding this still harder to accept than Bower’s conviction that reliance on notorious Markle-haters is a persuasive approach, I had a look. Judge for yourself, but to this viewer the contrast between Bower’s description and Markle’s actual (appealing) appearance is something his editors might, for the sake of reader confidence, have checked on. As it is, they must already hope that a response from one quoted detractor, Sam Kashner, published in the Times last week, will be the last to raise doubts about authorial bias. “I found Ms Markle,” Kashner wrote, “to be exceptionally warm and gracious and admired her intelligence and her remarkable courage, as I still do.” Bower retorts: “That just shows the power of Meghan.”
If the reader sometimes feels more balance might have strengthened his case, the experienced Bower perhaps felt a greater responsibility to awaken a nation yet to comprehend the threat of a controlling woman who is tellingly – a point not previously stressed – not tall. Schemingly, Meghan often wears high heels, but Bower is not fooled. If he’s not the only tall man to betray some pride in having grown himself so successfully, it’s still unusual to see this quality transformed into a royal threat-detector. At Wimbledon with Kate: “The physical comparison was unflattering to Meghan. On her own, Meghan’s radiance won universal applause but beside the taller, authoritative future queen the duchess appeared diminished.” Perhaps this could be deleted in any volume likely to be picked up by the Queen (5’3”), at this delicate point in her reign?
But no logic, in this protracted bitchfest, governs what Bower won’t gleefully cite in the Sussexes’ disfavour, while overlooking similar lapses among his favourites. Harry’s Oprah suit is “ill-fitting”. Thomas Markle looks… like Thomas Markle (the more than sartorial shortcomings of Princess Michael’s “blackamoor” brooch are likewise ignored). The Sussexes’ favourite journalist Omid Scobie, has a face, Bower adds by way of another irrelevant ad hominem, that “changed after working in Japan”. Presumably surgery is being referenced here, as opposed to the climate. “Some would say,” Bower adds, “that as the royal editor for Harper’s Bazaar, the Anglo-Iranian is a propagandist.”
Whether intended as an elegant malice-diffuser or handy gossip-vehicle the some said/would say locutions perform heroically throughout the book, as in one passage about a charity executive: “Some would even say he was besotted by her.”
Some would say, incidentally, that it’s unfortunate in a book that twits Harry for using a wrong word (“recipe” for formula) that Omid Scobie appears on one page as “Omar Scobie”.
To turn to the “explosive” new content promised by Bower’s publishers, the most prized revelations appear to be: Meghan was mean on a fashion shoot; the Queen was glad Meghan didn’t attend the funeral; the Vogue staff didn’t like her either; Meghan, with an outsider’s disregard for British niceties, vexed some of her betters with complaints about their hateful language.
Definitely new is Bower’s diagnosis, without any obvious evidence, of Meghan’s “terrible envy”. With his legal hat on, he suggests that an upheld judgment against a Mail newspaper’s publication of her private letter happened because, “as a class, Britain’s judges were unsympathetic to the Mail newspaper group”.
Returning to the facts, the author concludes that the couple’s messy departure for the US brought the Queen, Charles and William together. “They were forging a united front against the Sussexes.”
Some would say – to borrow again from Bower – that this observable royal resilience makes a further nonsense of his claims about vengeful, Montecito-based “agents of destruction”. As for his book’s contention that the whiny – though threatening – couple never had a thing to complain about: if they didn’t then, they do now.

Just having random thoughts about Byleth, their morality and their convictions- it’s my first time making an analysis post about fe3h and English isn’t my first language so bear with me. Also, I don’t know if this makes any sense at all lol, just thought i'd try my hand at it.
I have seen a lot of people in the fandom dunk on Byleth for being an “empty shell” and, well, maybe that is true; it seems to me that Byleth was supposed to be “bland” enough that people could project on them, but, at the same time, be their own character- a tricky balance to achieve. I honestly can’t be a judge of that. However, it did make me think a lot about their sense of morals- what do they believe in, what would be considered logical behavior and character development for them in regards to the route they choose.
At the start of the game, Byleth is supposedly emotionless- or at the very least, their emotions are tuned down by Sothis’ presence- and knows very little about the world they live in except for the way of the sword and the love of their father. Some people say that Byleth gains full access to their emotions after fusing with Sothis, others say that this only happens if they “become human again” at the end of Crimson Flower: in any case, I don’t believe this is really relevant here. To me,  the work starts from the moment they arrive at the monastery and are tasked with teaching the House of their choice: they have their own responsibility for the first time in their life (since Jeralt took care of everything beforehand) and have people to look out for- just like Jeralt looked out for them.
Now they don’t know much about teaching and they might have to improvise their lessons on the spot (lol), but they do their job. And they do it amazingly. Their students open up to them and through them, they learn about the world they live in, their challenges, what its pros and cons are- same on the side with the members of the Church of Seiros who are shown educating Byleth during their time off.
So, it makes sense that Byleth would have a vision of Fodlan that is influenced by their students and what House they pick, even though it might've already been based on some common and pre-existing moral values. It also makes sense that the way they would see things is, whatever comes to pass, they should protect their loved ones at all cost. They obviously love their kids and it’s not only their responsibility to take care of them as entrusted by Rhea, but it’s also what they have seen Jeralt do for them all of their life up to this point- by teaching them how to fight, fighting alongside them, fighting for them.
So, I believe Byleth’s moral compass is more oriented towards “keeping the ones they love safe” than anything else, which makes them more of a support character- whatever path they pick they do so because they want the best for the people they know, and they are always shown supporting and taking care of their respective lord, helping them realize their vision for Fodlan.
All of that to say- I don’t believe picking any route would be too out-of-character for Byleth. It makes total sense for them to continue onto AM or VW if they picked the Blue Lions or the Golden Deer: and if they picked the Black Eagles, I believe their choice all comes down to a calculation of what they think will be best for all the people they love.
I also think this poses another question: would Byleth turn evil if their mission to protect their loved ones was to be compromised? I HAVEN'T PLAYED THREE HOPES YET plz don’t spoil me but my theory about why Byleth was the antagonist was that they’re just tired of not being able to have their Golden route over. and over. and over again.

10 Common Myths About Water Purifiers
Have you ever wondered if your tap water is safe to drink? With concerns about water quality on the rise, many households have turned to water purifiers to ensure clean and safe drinking water. But while there is a lot of information out there, it’s easy to get lost in a sea of myths about water purifiers and misconceptions surrounding water purification.
We’ve all heard the claims and whispers, like “Tap water is perfectly fine, so water purifiers are unnecessary,” or “All water purifiers are the same.” But are these statements really accurate? Is boiling water just as effective as using a water purifier? And what about the notion that water purifiers remove essential minerals?
In this blog, we’re here to set the record straight! We’ll delve into the realm of water purification and debunk 10 common myths about water purifiers.
Why do you need a water purifier?
Before we get into the myths about water purifiers, let’s take a moment to understand why having a water purifier is essential. We all know that water is crucial for our survival, but what many people don’t realize is that the water coming out of our taps may not be as clean and safe as we assume.
Water that comes from a tap goes through a treatment process to remove harmful bacteria and viruses. However, it still contains impurities like chemicals, heavy metals, pesticides, and even traces of pharmaceuticals. These contaminants pose serious health risks when consumed regularly over time.
This is where water purifiers come into play. They act as an additional line of defense, ensuring that the water we drink and use for cooking is free from these impurities. A reliable water purifier utilizes various filtration technologies, such as activated carbon, reverse osmosis, or UV disinfection, to effectively remove contaminants and provide us with clean, safe water.
However, despite the clear benefits, many people hesitate to bring home a water purifier. Let’s explore some common reasons behind this hesitation:
1. Cost concerns
Some individuals worry that water purifiers are expensive and might strain their budget. While there are high-end models with advanced features, there are also affordable options that cater to different budget ranges.
2. Lack of awareness
Many people are simply unaware of the potential risks associated with tap water. They may assume that the water they receive is already safe for consumption, thus overlooking the need for a water purifier.
3. Maintenance hassle
Some individuals fear the maintenance involved in owning a water purifier. However, most modern purifiers are designed with user-friendly maintenance in mind, making the process relatively simple and hassle-free.
10 Common Myths About Water Purifiers and the Reality
Water purifiers have become an essential part of our lives, ensuring that we have access to clean and safe drinking water. However, there are several misconceptions surrounding water purifiers that can lead to confusion among consumers. Let’s debunk ten common myths about water purifiers and shed light on the reality.
Myth 1: Water from water purifiers tastes bad.
Reality
It is a common myth about water purifiers that they make water taste bland. In reality, water purifiers effectively remove impurities and contaminants, improving the taste and odor of the water. Many advanced purifiers come with additional features like carbon filters that enhance the flavor of the water.
Tumblr media
Myth 2: Water purifiers remove essential minerals.
Reality
While it is true that some water purifiers can remove minerals from water, many modern purifiers such as reverse osmosis systems retain essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium through advanced filtration techniques. These minerals are vital for our health and well-being.
Myth 3: Water purifiers are expensive.
Reality
While certain high-end water purifiers can be expensive, there are various affordable options available in the market. With DrinkPrime you get a customized, IoT-enabled water purifier on rent, making it a cost-effective solution for everyone to have access to clean and safe drinking water. You can also choose from different plans like solo, couple, and family according to your budget and water needs.
Myth 4: Boiling water is enough; water purifiers are unnecessary.
Reality
Boiling water is an effective method to kill harmful microorganisms, but it does not remove dissolved impurities like heavy metals, chemicals, or pesticides. Water purifiers provide comprehensive filtration, ensuring that the water is free from all types of contaminants.

Myth 5: Water purifiers require excessive maintenance.
Reality
While regular maintenance is necessary for optimal performance, modern water purifiers are designed to be user-friendly and low maintenance. Unlike other RO water purifiers, we schedule your installation within 48 hours of your delivery and the installation is FREE. We also offer FREE lifetime maintenance and filter changes and FREE relocation services!
Myth 6: All water purifiers are the same.
Reality
Water purifiers come in various types and technologies, each offering different levels of filtration. It is essential to understand your water quality and choose a purifier that suits your specific needs.
Myth 7: Water purifiers waste a lot of water.
Reality
This is one of the most common myths about water purifiers. Many modern water purifiers utilize advanced technologies like RO, UV, activated carbon, and sediment filters, which are more water-efficient.
Myth 8: Water purifiers remove all viruses and bacteria.
Reality
Most water purifiers are designed to remove a significant portion of bacteria and viruses. However, it is crucial to choose a purifier with adequate filtration technology like RO that targets specific microorganisms to ensure complete safety.
Myth 9: Water purifiers are only needed in rural areas.
Reality
Water contamination can occur in any area, including urban cities. Municipal water supplies may contain impurities that can affect water quality. Therefore, using a water purifier is essential regardless of the location.
Myth 10: Bottled water is better than water from purifiers.
Reality
Bottled water is expensive, inconvenient, and environmentally unsustainable. Water purifiers provide a more cost-effective and eco-friendly solution, ensuring that you have access to clean water at all times. The water you get in plastic bottles might also contain microplastics and in some cases, the water would be past the expiration date.
Conclusion
Tumblr media
In conclusion, water purifiers are crucial for ensuring safe and clean drinking water. Debunking these myths about water purifiers helps us make informed decisions and choose the right water purifier that meets our specific requirements. Remember, knowledge is power, and understanding the truth about water purifiers will help you create a healthier environment for yourself and your loved ones!

Now you may be wondering whether it is safe for your furry friend to consume milk. Most of us grew up believing that milk was great for our health and gave us all the essential nutrients our bodies needed, but when it comes to dogs the answer is a little more complex. In this article we will look at Can Dogs Drink Milk, its risks and rewards, as well as ways of keeping your canine buddy healthy. Can dogs drink milk? Simply put. Yes! but don't go just yet there is more to know. While milk is generally considered safe for dogs to drink, it should not be their sole source of nutrition; some dogs may have difficulty digesting it and certain types of milk (e.g. cow's milk) may cause allergic reactions in certain dogs. It is therefore wise to consult a dog veterinarian before giving your pup milk. [caption id="attachment_1208" align="alignnone" width="2000"] Puppy Drinking Milk[/caption]   What Are the Potential Hazards of Feeding Your Dog Milk? Giving your pup milk may pose certain risks. Lactose intolerance is a condition that affects both humans and dogs alike, caused by an inability to digest lactose - the sugar found in milk and dairy products. When left undigested, lactose can lead to symptoms such as bloating, gas, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Lactose intolerance in dogs tends to be more prevalent among certain breeds, such as Bulldogs, Boxers and Dachshunds; however, any dog can develop lactose intolerance as they age, particularly Bulldogs, Boxers and Dachshunds. If you think your pup might be lactose intolerant, it's essential to consult a veterinarian. Your vet can perform tests to confirm the diagnosis and offer advice on managing your pup's diet accordingly. It is generally best to avoid giving lactose-intolerant dogs milk or dairy products. Instead, they can get alternative sources of calcium and other essential nutrients from plain, unsweetened yogurt or bone broth. It is essential to read labels carefully and avoid giving your dog any foods or treats that contain lactose or dairy products. Making these small changes can help your pup feel more at ease and prevent the uncomfortable symptoms associated with lactose intolerance. [caption id="attachment_1209" align="alignnone" width="2000"] Sick Dog Laying Down Upset Stomach[/caption]   Upset Stomach Just like you an me, Dogs can experience an upset stomach after consuming certain foods or drinks such as milk. Signs of this in dogs include vomiting, diarrhea, gas and bloating. If your dog experiences an upset stomach after drinking milk, it is essential to monitor them closely and provide them with plenty of water. In most cases, these symptoms will resolve on their own within a few hours to a day; however, if the symptoms persist or worsen, consulting with a veterinarian may be necessary. To prevent upset stomachs in dogs, it's essential to be mindful of their diet and avoid giving them foods or treats that are high in fat or sugar. Additionally, introduce new foods gradually and in small amounts so as not to overload their digestive system. In addition to diet adjustments, there are other steps you can take to help soothe your dog's upset stomach. For instance, serving them a bland diet like boiled chicken and rice will help their digestion system relax. Moreover, offering them small amounts of water or ice cubes will keep them hydrated. Overall, if your pup experiences an upset stomach after drinking milk, it's essential to closely monitor them and provide them with the necessary care and love. By making small dietary adjustments and being aware of their health, you can help your furry friend feel their best and prevent discomfort. [caption id="attachment_1210" align="alignnone" width="2000"] Obese Dog With Healthy Pip[/caption]   Obesity and Weight Gain Obesity and weight gain are major health concerns for dogs, and giving them too much milk may contribute to these problems. Milk is high in fat and calories, meaning it could easily lead to excessive weight gain if given in
large amounts. Obesity can lead to a variety of health issues in dogs, such as joint pain, heart disease and diabetes. It also has been known to shorten their lifespan and diminish quality of life. Therefore, it's essential that you monitor your dog's weight and diet to help avoid these issues developing. When giving your pup milk as an occasional treat, it is essential that they receive it in moderation. While a small amount of milk should not cause any harm, giving your pup too much may lead to weight gain and other health issues. To prevent obesity in dogs, it is essential to give them a balanced diet tailored for their age, breed and activity level. This could include high-quality dog food, lean proteins and fresh fruits and vegetables. Exercise is another key factor in preventing obesity in dogs. Consistent daily exercises, such as walks and playtime, can help keep your pup's weight under control and enhance its overall well being. Overall, giving your dog too much milk can lead to obesity and weight gain in their pup, potentially leading to a variety of health issues. By being mindful of both their dietary needs and exercise regime, you can help them maintain a healthy weight and enjoy an active life. [caption id="attachment_1211" align="alignnone" width="2000"] Healthy Strong dog[/caption]   The advantages of giving your pup milk   Nutritional Value Milk provides essential nutrients that benefit both humans and dogs alike. For dogs in particular, milk provides calcium and vitamin D - essential for strong bones and teeth - but other sources of these essential vitamins may be better suited to your pup's diet. While milk can offer some nutritional benefits to dogs, it is essential that they receive it in moderation. Overfeeding your pup could lead to digestive issues, excessive weight gain and other health complications. If you're searching for an alternative source of calcium and other essential nutrients for your pup, there are plenty of safe and healthy choices available. For example, plain, unsweetened yogurt is an excellent source of calcium and probiotics that can aid in digestion and boost the immune system. Bone broth also offers many beneficial nutrients like essential amino acids and minerals for bone health as well as overall wellness. Additionally, many commercial dog foods are designed to provide all essential nutrients for your pup's diet. When selecting a food for your pup, read the label carefully and select an excellent product suitable for their age, breed, and activity level. Overall, while milk may offer some nutritional advantages for dogs, it's essential that they receive it only occasionally and consult a veterinarian before making any dietary changes. By including various safe and healthy foods into your pup's diet, you can help promote their overall health.   Hydration In Dogs Hydration is an integral part of your dog's health. Just like humans, dogs need to drink enough water in order to keep their systems working optimally. Dehydration can cause various health issues in dogs such as kidney damage, heat stroke, and urinary tract infections. One way to ensure your dog stays hydrated is by offering them plenty of clean drinking water. You can do this by placing water bowls throughout your home, especially in areas where they spend a lot of time, such as their sleeping area or near their food bowl. Make sure to change their water frequently since stale or contaminated water could make them sick an we don't want that now do we. If your pup is refusing to drink water, there are ways to help keep them hydrated. For instance, offering them ice cubes or frozen treats made from pureed fruits and vegetables can be a great incentive. Adding water directly into their food also works wonders in increasing water intake. In addition to these methods, there are also commercially available products designed to help keep dogs hydrated. For instance, there are water fountains specifically made for dogs as well as electrolyte-enhanced drink
s and other specialized items. If you are worried about your dog's hydration levels, it is essential to consult a veterinarian. They can assess your pup's overall health and offer guidance on keeping them hydrated and in optimal condition. Overall, keeping your dog hydrated is essential for its health and happiness. By providing them with plenty of fresh drinking water as well as providing alternative sources of hydration, you can help ensure that your furry friend remains healthy, contented, and well-hydrated. [caption id="attachment_1212" align="alignnone" width="2000"] Dog drinking water from bowl[/caption]   Alternatives to Milk for Dogs Though milk may provide some nutritional advantages for dogs, there are numerous safe and healthy alternatives that can be included into your pup's diet. These alternatives tend to contain less lactose and fat than cow's milk, making them easier to digest for pups. Some examples include: Plain, unsweetened yogurt Cottage cheese Bone broth Coconut milk. Goat's Milk Yogurt is an ideal substitute for dogs' milk when they're lactose intolerant. Not only is it high in calcium and probiotics, which aid with digestion and immunity, but it's also an excellent source of energy. Yogurt could even serve as a treat when your pup goes off on vacation! Another alternative to milk for dogs is bone broth. Bone broth contains essential amino acids and minerals that promote bone health and overall wellness, plus it provides hydration to dogs. Cottage cheese is an alternative to milk for dogs. Could I please ask for some headcanons about yandere twice and aizawa? Love your blog so much, your writing is just amazing!!
pairing aizawa shouta x gn reader
word count 943
notes thank you!! i dont write for twice bc i'm not too familiar w his characterisation :( i need to update my rules with that, but if u want anyone else pls lmk <3 enjoy :))
WARNINGS dark/ yandere aizawa, reader referred to as kitty, stalking, kidnapping, noncon, spanking, gagging, oral (m rec), anal (reader rec), binding/ bondage, implied dehumanisation/ pet play.
MINORS, AGELESS & BLANK BLOGS DO NOT INTERACT. 18+ ONLY.

normally, aizawa is a man of few words; he doesn't bother with anything he deems unnecessary, and he'll be the first to admit that there isn't much that can actually break him out of this dreary, apathetic routine of his. however, when he first sets his sights on you, he knows something is different.
he's a hero first and foremost, so he's always vigilant — eyes scanning people to determine whether or not they pose a threat, until his eyes cross yours. there's nothing special about the way you scamper down the streets at night while he's on watch, you look like any other civilian afraid of the threats in the dark, but maybe aizawa's just grown bored of the whole camping on rooftops like a sitting duck, so he decides to follow you home.
it's easy with the cover of night, blending into the shadows as he trails behind you, feeding on the way you peer over your shoulder every so often. you're like a helpless little kitty, lost and all alone in a big jungle, where bigger, deadlier cats lurk, waiting to pounce on some fresh meat. no one gets close enough to try, though, not with the erasure hero pursuing you so meticulously, fighting off the low-level scum, so you can make your way home safely.
he deserves some sort of reward for clearing off all those villains just for you, he justifies as he watches you through your open curtains. you're a silly kitty, aren't you? showing yourself off like that, as if you know he's right across from you.
accompanying you home easily becomes a routine. it adds some spice to his otherwise bland life. but, soon enough, just watching from afar isn't enough for him. maybe he should bide his time and go about this in a safer manner, but he wouldn't be a good hero if he didn't take risks.
he's been working as a hero for so long, he's seen enough crime scenes to know how to stage a break-in, and that's exactly what he does the day he steals you away. there are police meetings he hears about, grieving and sobbing family members and friends he sees when the news of your abduction gets out, but it's water under the bridge to him. you're where you belong now.
some days he misses the quiet nights at home, but he'll never regret bringing you here. never. to him, you're irreplaceable. he needs you because without you, he's just an obscure hero, an overworked teacher, a man desperately in need of a haircut and a hand to hold. but you? just your presence is enough to get his heart racing; he feels reborn, like a completely new man as he explores you and all that makes you you, learning all your different reactions, memorising all the faces you make for him.
living with someone isn't something he's used to, but it's easy to get accustomed to when he controls every aspect of your life: you don't need to worry about what clothes to wear when he picks an outfit out for you every day; don't worry your pretty little head over cooking, he'll make your meals and restock the fridge as necessary (and he'll force the food down if you ever even think of refusing); all you need to do is focus on welcoming him home with your legs spread, ready and waiting for him to fold you into whatever position he's in the mood for today.
whatever he says, goes. he doesn't have the time to deal with bratty behaviour, and any instances of backlash or a tantrum are swiftly dealt with. tough love, he claims as he bends you over his lap and spanks you until your ass is raw with pain, a never-ending stinging sensation is all you can feel in your lower parts. this is all your fault, he'll remind you as he ties a gag around your head so your mouth is forced to stay wide open. he'll shove his cock into your mouth and hold it there, because this is all it's good for — instead of squealing complaints, you should be choking on his length, mewling for more. his favourite punishment is using his infamous wrap scarf to hold you up in different positions, like you're a helpless little puppet, all his to mold and contort as he pleases. he'll bind your hands so you can't claw at him; he'll part your thighs so wide your muscles burn with the stretch, but it gives him more than enough space to pound into you recklessly; he'll fold you like a pretzel, dismissing your anguished cries in favour of bottoming out in your ass, until you realise that you are completely at his mercy, that you should only be satisfied when he is.
he says he doesn't have the time, the energy, the patience, to deal with your outbursts, but he's so, so quick to punish you when they happen, that you think he's full of shit — he enjoys watching you lash out and scream and wail and take all your pent-up rage out on him, because it's all part of your training, isn't it? he's found his little stray cat, and now he needs to teach it how to live in his sanctuary.
he's never been one to put in 110% effort into something unless he deemed it absolutely necessary, and you know he loves you enough because that's exactly what he does: he goes above and beyond — plus fucking ultra — to know everything about you, to integrate himself so deeply into your life, you won't remember who you were before him.

While a positivity blog is great, posing it in opposition with the "call-out" blog immediately devalues it. The one person who was called out on that account (the original one) was an adult sexualizing teenagers who blocked anyone who tried to tell her that what she was doing was harmful. It makes it seem like you're trying to support adults who sexualize minors.
There's no way to "communicate" with someone who blocks anyone who tries to "call" them "in". a call out is a statement that this type of behavior isn't acceptable and a promise to make the fandom a safer space for teenagers.
I asked very respectfully not to send me follow up questions on this matter. Because this whole "call out" thing had been weighing on my mental health.
But once again, I keep getting dragged into this.
This my response to every ask I've gotten regarding this matter over the last few days. The asks I've been ignoring because it's not my place to give an opinion on this. Or rather, I do not have to. I don't have an obligation to do so.
But here we are.
The very reason I find the call out blog problematic is because of a sentence you said in your ask.
You mentioned that because I find the call out blog problematic and I quote "it makes it seem like you're trying to support adults who sexualize minors."
This is the problem.
The call out is not the problem. It's the way in which they are being called out.
Over the last few days, I've seen tsc blogs, for the lack of a better word, being "investigated". Posts dug from the past, follower lists analysed, screenshots posts and shared in public.
This is not a call out. A call out refers to interpersonal confrontations occurring between individuals on social media. In theory, call-outs should be very simple – someone does something wrong, people tell them, and they avoid doing it again in the future.
Now I understand you mentioned an individual refused to listen. I will not comment on that - since I do not know this individual personally or how they reacted. I do not prefer to talk about people I don't know personally. Neither the people calling them out - or the person being called out.
But what I can tell you is that when you call out someone, it only works when you point out why they are wrong, not what what they are doing is wrong. So, instead of calling someone a pedophile, it is essential to explain how their behaviour impacts you or your peers. It is important to address this issue in the larger fandom, not just by spamming one person's ask box. Because this issue is greater than one blog.
The reason why I don't condone this call out blog is because it is so easily possible to get carried away and overpunish people, turning alleged perpetrators of upsetting acts into victims themselves. The moral high ground people stand on evolves from calling out to public shaming of individuals.
I am requesting this entire fandom to rethink your actions and to reevaluate your choices. All of you.
It breaks my heart that you would say that I support adults who sexualise minors when have spent my whole adult life protecting children from such people. It is literally my job.
I recently saw one of my dearest friends being called "homophobic" because they support Jace - because Jace 'outed' Alec and therefore those who support Jace are also homophobic. It really hurt because I know the struggles my friend had to go through in order to protect themselves from their own homophobic family.
It makes me so sad and yet so angry that you are not aware of the consequences your words have on people.
People who make such claims. You seem to forget that we live in a digital world now. You all seem to forget that we are living through a pandemic. We study online. We work online. We entertain ourselves online.
So when you shame people online so callously, it can affect irreparable damage on their professional lives. It can ruin their mental health. It can impact their families.
While the intention of the callout blog - and those who support it - might be honest, the way in which they are achieving their goal is incredibly harmful for people in this fandom regardless of whether they are guilty or not.
I want to point out that this call out blog achieves nothing. It doesn't root out the pedophilia and sexism that exists on Tumblr - or in the fandom. The call out blog does't achieve anything. I'm sorry. It had to be said. The only thing this blog achieve is spreading a culture of shame, fear and stigma in the tsc fandom.
So, I urge you to rethink your actions and reevaluate your methods.
I do not believe in giving bland advice. So, as someone who works on these issues, allow me to point you in an healthier and more effective decision.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
If the goal is "a promise to make the fandom a healthier space for teenagers" then you are doing it wrong. I say this as someone who works on creating healthy spaces for teenagers. It's up to you whether you want to listen to me or not.
But you are going about it wrong. Here is what you can do instead.
1. What we are doing wrong? Currently, you seem to be focusing on the people - not the issue. If you want to make the space feel safe, you need to address the root cause. What differentiates a call-out from bullying is that it shouldn’t be about punishing someone for something they have done, rather it should be about establishing a new pattern of behavior. In other words, when someone calls you out they want you to start showing through your actions that you care about the issue you’ve been called out on. So, show that you care about the issue.
2. How do we show we care? Focus on the teenagers. You are focusing on the wrong group of people. Cancelling out someone or calling out a blog or getting someone to deactivate is not going to make teenagers feel safe. Trust me on this. You need to address the issue to the victims. You need to ASK THEM how they want to be feel safe. While your method might work for you, it might not be what everyone wants. It might not make everyone feel safe. So, talk to your peers. What is it that you can do for your own community? Is it writing an email to CC about this issue in the fandom? Is it addressing it in a larger platform like a magazine or YouTube? Is it reaching to Tumblr and talking to them about doing their job and enforcing the community guidelines efficiently? THIS is how you fix the problem - not by chasing people out when you find them to be problematic.
3. Why are you complicating this? Why can't we just call people out? Because then you will only be addresing the symptoms, not the root cause. I understand that most of you are minors and therefore will not have the same awareness about how the system works or don't ahem access to same resources and opportunities we adults do. But unfortunately, it is our reality. We all live online. We all need to educate ourselves and do better.
I'm sharing an excellent resource here which was developed by UN WOMEN in 2021 to speficially tackle the issue of bullying, disinformation and hate speech experienced by youth - especially young women. It's a free online course that helps you learn this topic better. It even gives you a certificate from the organization.
I am ALL for calling people out as long as you do it the right way. So, if you want to be a warrior on Tumblr, if you want to protect your peers, if you want to create a safe space, you need to learn how to do it the right way. Otherwise, like most social activists, you are doing more bad than good. Your attempts to create a better world only lead to more chaos and pain.
4. I still don't understand. Then here is a simply answer. I hope this helps.
Tumblr media
Please make better choices. Be conscious of how your actions online affect people both in digital and offline spaces.
You are allowed to fight for your safety. You are allowed to fight for your rights. But you are not allowed to hurt another person to prove your point. Then your whole initiative becomes counterproductive.
You need to be more aware. You need think more critically.
Finally and most importantly - I once again ask that you do not drag me into this. I am not the president of this fandom. I am not your parent. While it is my job to create awareness and work on online safety, I am not on tumblr to be an activist. This is my safe space. This is my comfort space. This is where I come to take my mind off all the stressful and heartbreaking things I have to work on as an activist. I am here to shit post like most people. I do not have to teach you to be decent or how to be sensible or how to be kind. That is the job of the education system and your family.
I'm sorry those around you have failed you and it has come to this. I only hope you do not fail yourself.
Make better choices.
Love, Dani.

Extra Complications
Tumblr media
never expected to be crushing on an animated character but here we are
Next Chapter
It was sneaky. Perhaps cheating by some standards. But from your perspective, it was a damn good plan.
Ironically you'd seen the advertisement for the Alchemax internship right after being flung into a wall by the very same woman who'd likely approved the broadcast. Olivia Octavius, or Doc Ock as you ought to refer to her in costume. Though she'd given you little time to read up on 'how to apply', as moments later a car was thrown in your direction, which was very inconsiderate of her, but was also all the persuasion you needed.
At this point, you'd be willing to do anything if it contributed to thwarting her, surely, very evil plan. Of course you admired the woman for her general genius and eccentricity, but the constant unprovoked conflict was becoming tiresome. It felt as if she were trying to determine how much of a threat you posed, whereas, you liked to think your legacy as 'that Spider-Person who sometimes saves the day' was all the evidence necessary.
Honestly, you weren't certain as to what exactly her, no doubt, villainous plan entailed besides patrolling the streets in green swimming goggles and black spandex with ridiculous plastic tubes jutting out of her back. In fact, it was ridiculous that no one had made any attempt to stop her yet. Unlike your identity, kept secret by a more modest spandex suit, hers was public knowledge.
Sometimes, it seemed as though you were the enemy here.
Which is precisely why infiltrating her team of scientists was more than appropriate. You were about to single handily take down an international threat, one hidden in plain sight, but left untouched due to the company's vast money, leverage and prestige.
Someday the city would thank you for your many sacrifices. Specifically for voluntarily working another job without pay. Y/N Y/L/N, broke intern by day, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Person by night.
"Excuse me?" A voice called from the left, your vision of them obstructed by an inconveniently placed potted plant. "Are you the new intern?" The person stepped closer, briefly glancing up at you, then back down at a sheet of paper. "Y/N Y/L/N?" The woman's timid appearance hardly screamed villainous scientist, but then again, looks can be deceiving.
"Yes, that's me." You stood, reaching out to shake her hand.
She sighed in relief, shaking your hand a tad too enthusiastically. "Lovely to meet you. I'm Marie and I'll be getting you settled in for the first few days."
A spark of disappointment flashed across your mind. Olivia hadn't been there for your interview, nor had any sway in your hiring, and now she wasn't even the person greeting you on your first day. Although you had no right to be, you felt rather offended by the lack of challenge she was providing. It was almost too easy.
---
To be fair, Marie was the perfect candidate to give you a tour of the facility. She was kind and patient, but not condescending. She seldom spoke beyond what was required of her, unless you asked something work related, when her lengthy response would affirm her status as an epicure of scientific knowledge. By midday, you'd decided she was someone to befriend, and subsequently accepted her invitation to have lunch together.
You were also hoping that the team would eat lunch as a group, but alas, more disappointment. Instead, you spent the break sitting in an awkward silence with Marie, who seemed to loose basic communication skills when presented with food. In spite of her lack of engagement, you still took the opportunity to try and ascertain information about the project you'd be working on, though each time she expertly diverted the interrogation, or ignored your question entirely.
Who knew working for an evil, secretive corporation would be so boring?
It was a test of patience to be sitting in the same building as Olivia Octavius, while forced to shadow an incredibly kind, but slow eating woman. Realistically, you knew there'd be plenty of time to investigate, though you were reluctant to end the day without any progress. So, while Marie was still distracted by her lunch, you excused yourself to go to the bathroom.
She dismissively approved with a wave of her hand, allowing you to slip away from the dining hall. You vaguely remembered the location of Olivia's office as being on the top floor, indicated by Marie's imprecise pointing. She'd explained that very few had clearance to get in, but you'd already thought of a way to get passed the security.
Who aside from the highest ranking scientists had access to every room? Janitors, of course. Because, for some reason, cleanliness was more important than security.
It didn't take long to locate a cleaner, or much effort to pickpocket the security card. To be on the safe side, you even had an excuse ready: that the man had dropped it, that you were simply looking for him to return it. And if Olivia caught you in her office, well, she wouldn't (Spider-Senses and all). Again, it was almost too easy.
There was a minatory silence as you walked along the final corridor toward her office. Part of you felt as though this was some kind of elaborate trap, the repeated phrase 'too easy' coming to mind as you reached the door. Though the logical part of you must've known this was a fatuous suggestion, and took control.
With a final pause to confirm nobody was approaching, or was already waiting inside, you scanned the key card. The action was rewarded with a satisfactory beep, followed by the door sliding open so fast it appeared to have vanished.
The office was smaller than you anticipated. Or maybe it was the bareness of the room that caught you off guard. The woman was insane, yet her work area hardly reflected her deranged mental state. Everything was so perfectly neat that you began to wonder if you'd actually walked onto a movie set, or a photoshoot, which would've explained the strange ring lights hanging from the ceiling.
Upon reaching the centre of the room, you were struck by the realisation that you truthfully had no reason to be here. Even if the office had been as messy as you'd expected, it was unlikely that she'd leave her super evil plans lying around. Rather, It'd been some morbid curiosity that had lured you here. To see where The Doc Ock worked, where the alter ego was likely created. The reality was underwhelming to say the least.
Deciding that you'd spent enough time admiring an incredibly bland office, you exited back out into the empty corridor, nonchalantly throwing the security card behind you, certain someone would eventually return it. Then, as if right on cue, you sensed somebody approaching, soon followed by footsteps resonating from around the corner. With no way of avoiding them, you kept your head down with the intention of blending in.
Olivia Octavius rounded the corner, not sparing a glance up. She was frowning at a piece of paper, her full attention directed to it, blissfully unaware of your presence.
Instinctively, your entire body tensed at the sight of her lithe frame and mass of hair spilling out of its messy bun. Any other circumstance and you'd have fled by now, through a vent, out of the window, it didn't matter. Though you had to remind yourself that there was no reason to be afraid now. There was no possible way she could know your identity.
Nonetheless, as you passed her with less than a metre of space, you held your breath. She said nothing and you both kept walking in opposite directions.
It seemed the coast was clear. You released the breath you'd been holding and kept moving until. "Hey, wait a minute."
You froze, aching to ignore her and escape. Her voice was deep, more so than you were prepared for. While fighting, few words were exchanged, and even then they were unintelligible. Although, now was the worst time to be thinking about previous interactions, so with much difficulty, you cleared your mind. As far as anyone knew, including yourself, you were just the intern.
You ran a hand through your hair nervously, straightening out your lab coat and turning to face her. She was stood at the far end of the long white corridor, entirely unthreatening when compared to Doc Ock, who would've loomed over you menacingly.
Remembering the role you were meant to be playing, you choked out a response. "How can I be of assistance?"
"You're the new intern, right?"
"Yeah." You considered approaching to shake her hand, but the idea of awkwardly marching the length of the corridor to greet her was rather unappealing. "That's me." You settled for a polite smile and shoulder shrug instead.
She screwed up her face in consideration before crooking a finger. "Come with me."
Swallowing any concern, you nodded hesitantly. The prospect of returning to the office you'd broken into only moments ago had you dragging your feet.
She waited patiently until you were by her side to continue. "Don't worry." She scanned her key card. "I don't bite." Her tone was playful, her eyes kindly mocking.
"Good to know." You muttered, following her inside. You took a second to look around the room with mock curiosity, feeling her eyes trace your every move. Like a predator, eyeing up its prey, determining your weaknesses. Unlike the encounters with Doc Ock, it was uncertain who had the high ground here. Her gaze was putting you on edge, not dissimilar to how your character of 'the intern' would react.
"So..." She shuffled some papers around on the desk, finding what looked to be your application. "Ms. Y/L/N right?"
You confirmed with a nod, summoning the resolve to amble toward her desk.
"Take a seat." She gestured to the chair opposite, letting you sit before proceeding. "Tell me about yourself, Y/N."
You started to think of an adequate answer, but she interrupted a second later, contradicting her initial inquiry. "Are you okay with me calling you Y/N?" She leant her head on a closed fist, narrowing her eyes.
Although the question sounded considerate, you didn't feel the implied sincerity. Even if you wanted to say no, that didn't feel like a suitable response. "Sure."
Somehow, it felt like she was establishing dominance through the polite act, and combined with being under her scrutinising glare, the performance was working.
"Great." Suddenly, she leant back in her chair, all evidence of the hostile act disappearing instantaneously.
"What'd you want to know?" Mirroring her relaxed posture, you attempted to re-establish some control.
"Oh, anything." A flicker of something passed in her eyes, piqued interest possibly?
You began routinely rattling off some basic facts about yourself, nothing too specific or personal. Facts that would answer any follow up questions she might have, and yet said nothing about you. Surprisingly, she seemed hooked on your every word. The thought crossed your mind that this might be the real interview, that everything else up to this point had been a sham. But you settled on a more unsettling justification. That she was committing everything you said to memory.
Coming to the end of the informative monologue, you decided to take a risk. "Do I get to ask a question?" You raised an eyebrow challengingly.
"Inquisitive. I like that." She stated, folding her arms on the desk. "Go ahead."
You decided to see how far you could push your luck. "Tell me about yourself." You smugly repeated her vague first query. It was the Doctor's turn to come up with an answer to the ambiguous demand.
She scoffed, realising your plan to make her struggle. "Touché. But I'm rather busy, so how about you pick a more specific question."
Narrowing it down, there was only one thing you wanted to ask. "Can I see the-" You waved your arms around, imitating tentacles. "the suit?"
She chuckled, slowly standing. Judging from her lack of surprise, this was likely a request she'd heard many times.
First, she removed her glasses. Then slipped out of her lab coat. Next to go was the shirt, which she pulled over her head while maintaining eye contact. You wanted to look away, out of respect, yet you didn't. Without the shirt, you noticed she was already wearing the suit underneath and had the harness strapped to her back, confirming your suspicion that she always had access to the weapon. As she was stepping out of her trousers, the arms (tentacles?) inflated, and within moments were threateningly extending to their full potential.
She smiled proudly, enjoying your stunned expression. "As good as you expected?"
"Better." Unable to resist any longer, you stood to investigate the suit in further detail. You'd never seen it stationary, or had the opportunity to try and gauge the details of how it worked. Although you argued this would be beneficial for your next fight, in reality you just wanted to admire the contraption. You circled round, marvelling at the simplicity of the design. It was convenient, yet elegant. "It's beautiful."
Coming to a stop in front of Olivia, she had an unreadable expression. A mix of emotions, most prominently confusion. To your delight, a faint blush coloured her cheeks. Whatever unspoken game you'd been playing, you were winning, or were until she said. "How'd you like to intern for me?"
You quickly recovered. "I already do."
"No." She sighed. "I mean personally. As my assistant? You'd get your own desk, an almost guaranteed job at the end of it and so much more experience than you'd bargained for." She leant forward, a little too close for comfort. There was an unhinged look in her eyes more reminiscent of Doc Ock that both convinced and deterred you. "So what'd you say?"
She genuinely wanted you to work with her.
This hadn't been part of the plan. You'd expected to spend no longer than a few months working at Alchemax. To uncover their evil scheme, figure out how to stop it and hopefully take down the company. An optimistic plan, sure, but one you'd been assured you'd stick to. Although, the opportunity to work closely with Olivia Octavian, with the Doc Ock, was too good to pass on. Not to mention, infinitely more interesting.
You grinned, embracing the insanity that your answer would incur. "I'd love to."
She clapped her hands together. "Great!" Then offered her hand for you to shake formally. "I'll sort out the paperwork and details this evening, but right now if you'll excuse me, I have business to attend to."
She left before you had the chance to say anything else, still in her suit, which left you confused for the following half hour. You finally understood upon catching a glimpse of a news alert on your phone.
Doc Ock Seizes Bank, Has Taken Hostages!
You sighed. Today was going to be a long day, and things were only going to get more complicated.

Veggie Ink Month Day 25: King
Tumblr media
Anti paced around in Dark’s chambers, trying his best to be patient while waiting for Dark to return from his kingdom appearance. It was a strange thing the king did, just walk around to let the kingdom see him and Anti had to stay behind since it would not look good for the king to walk with someone he wasn’t married to, regardless of relationship status with him.
The chambers were far from their usual pristine condition as Anti had started digging through belongings out of curiosity. Fae didn’t care much about privacy, hiding things tend to lead to danger so it didn’t occur to Anti he was doing something that humans would see as wrong.
“Oo~” Anti perked up when he found Dark’s castle crown. It was much larger and with polished gems compared to the bland golden one Dark wore out in the public. “Pretty.” Anti went over to the mirror in the room and placed the crown on his head. “Very pretty.” He added with a giggle.
Anti posed a little bit in the mirror; angling the crown in different ways, trying to mimic how Dark stood. He did a bow to see if he could do it and not have the crown fall off. When he straightened back up he saw Dark standing at the open door through the mirror.
“You’ve gone through my things,” Dark commented.
“I haven’t seen your things yet so I figured I’d do it while I waited.” Anti poked the center gem, not catching the irritation in Dark’s voice.
“You didn’t ask.”
“Didn’t ask?” Anti turned to look at Dark in person. “Am I supposed to?” Anti’s question sounded genuine to Dark, telling him that something else about Fae was different than humans.
“Humans like their privacy.” Dark walked into the room as he spoke. “We like to keep our personal belongings to ourselves. Sometimes it’s to keep nostalgic items or things we care about safe from damage and sometimes it’s to ensure high-valued items don’t get stolen.” Dark gestured to the crown. “We tend to ask each other if we’re allowed to look at personal items.”
“Oh!” Anti took the crown off, placed it back where he had found it, and rushed out of the room. Dark only had a second to himself before Anti popped his head into the room. “Hey Dark, can I wear your crown?” That got Dark to smile a little, watching Anti’s ears twitch a little with his own playful grin.
“Yes, you may.”
