It's established by the junior demon (bunny haired demon) that Crowley invented selfies. Here's how I imagine Crowley pitched the idea and why he actually wanted to create them:

How Crowley pitched it to Hell

Crowley: Yeah, so the idea is...people take pictures of their face and send those pictures to other people.

Listening demons: *Groan, start to leave the room*

Crowley: No, no, stay with me! You're gonna like this, it's a cake with many deliciously evil layers. It's an insidious way to spread the corrosive sin of vanity on a massive, instantaneous scale, wielding the very human craving for social acceptance for eventual damnation, so it's doubly evil. Reality

Crowley wanted to make taking pictures of yourself and sending them to others socially normal in the hopes that Aziraphale would send cute pictures of himself to Crowley. 🤭🥺😍

fun fact: Some snakes can stand at about half their own length! Laz is not one of them!

Lengthwise, Laz is the biggest romance option. With them being 20' and all. However, height wise they can only hold themself up to about six feet on average, eight if they're pushing it and Ten is a pipe dream fated to result in them falling on their ass.

I've noticed that Crowley/Twinkle-iel both do the same gigglesnort laugh. Twinkle-iel when he forgets to say "let there be light" and Crowley when he tells Jim/Goobriel that Aziraphale wasn't there in heaven that day, but he, Crowley, was.

(And most-demonic-we've-seen-him Crowley makes me have to go take a cold shower every time.😉)
