why are some snakes super colourful? like the blue coral snake, or any other sharp blue or red color etc- isn't it hard for them to camoflauge?
For venomous snakes, that's most often to help them stand out and communicate a warning. Blue coral snakes are venomous and would very much like other animals to know that so they're left alone.
For others, it's actually mostly camoflauge. Western coachwhips and Grand Canyon rattlesnakes are often pink, and that might look like it's not good for much...
But then take a look at the rocks and dirt where they live!
Snakes look the way they do for a reason. Sharp, bright reds or blues usually commincate that they're venomous, but otherwise seemingly odd colors make sense when we look at the snake's habitat.

i've seen a lot of photos of bush vipers being like, pink and orange. are those real colors on those snakes? or just photoshopped or something?
Bush vipers have an incredibly wide array of colorations, and while pictures of them are often edited to enhance how vibrant they look, the snakes can range in color from red, orange, green, and yellow to blue and even solid black.
While I've never seen a real pink one, they can certainly be red and orange.

I feel like Lucy Gray’s fashion sense had an influence on the Capitol. It’s mentioned in the book that she’s wearing makeup, which is notable to Coriolanus and he wonders where she got it from since it was barely becoming accessible again in the Capitol. In the movie one of his classmates mocks what she is wearing, asking if she thinks she’s a clown. It isn’t common to dress like her, but she owns her own style and the Capitol LOVES her. Coriolanus, as he tries to get sponsors for her, makes the case that since she is Covey perhaps she isn’t really district at all, in fact she’s really more Capitol than anything… and perhaps it rubbed off. Perhaps her sense of extra-ness, her fun makeup even at the reaping, her colorful dress at a dark occasion….perhaps that’s one part of her legacy that never truly goes away, even when the name of Lucy Gray Baird is erased from the memories of the people of Panem.
