how in 3rd through 5 th grade i would regularly go to my middle school’s library and get the Adventures of Tin-Tin comics and read them over and over again
like they weren’t even like,,, soft cover/paper back
they were hard cover and large
…
on other news i’ve realized that that’s where i got my love for older men from
This is the second drink-n-paint painting I did at one of my local Pinot's Palette places (the other was an Almond Blossom Hurricane that I did back in 2015).
My parents, sibs, and assorted nieces all got in on the action and painted tree-with-sunset things. One of them managed to make a sun that looked like the Death Star. It was awesome. These studio classes are always great fun sunk or drober, and I was only mildly tipsy so I managed not to get paint everywhere. I especially enjoyed working up the reflections in the water.
Acrylics. Dick Blick acrylics, at that. On canvas.
