Sleeping In

Today, I slept in late,

my engine wouldn’t go,

the future may hold news for me,

but I don’t want to know.

Hold me undercovers,

keep me in the dark,

got no juice for generation,

motor’s got no spark.

Obligations pressing,

list is getting long,

but laying here just feels right

although I know it’s wrong.

Only one solution:

back to sleep, and stay,

pretty soon, it will be night,

and then another day.
