people really forget the golden rule is ACTUALLY Always Be Nice To Service Workers/Customer Service...

I tend to forget that's not, like, everybody's baseline, but for the rest of your life, until you DIE, I need you to remember that being nice & being polite & being RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE to EVERYONE goes SUCH a long way, in EVERYTHING YOU DO

#personally this was just about getting my shopgoodwill account reinstated; people online swear their customer service is rotten & horrible #but like... maybe just don't be a bitch idk! it worked for me! #anyway YEAH it takes you FAR in work + education too & tbh it's an astonishingly low bar to clear so don't date ppl who are rude either #flip side is not everyone's cut out for customer svc/custie facing work bc it can be stressful & daunting & a lot of assholes #but 1. customers do not have the power to get me out of character + 2. I try & extend grace bc it could be the worst day of their life yk? #and 3. I try to be as pleasant as I can as a customer bc I professionally live on the other side of that mirror. #like......... it literally costs nothing to be nice!
