🔥Playlistcover: JARED MARTIN
"I think that would be a good idea for a playlist. If anything, it's inclusive because the genre is predominantly white. Highlighting artists that go against the grain is a change that people can appreciate." (Puddle Noir)
Thanks for the support to Jared Martin, Brandon Roberts, Matt Wainwright and M.I.C.

Set crossfade to 12s in settings before playing this
After leaving my studio one recent evening, I stopped by a nearby Lidl on the way home. I felt something electric in the night air, compelling me to return to the studio to pick up a tripod and explore the industrial estate on the far side of the railway tracks.
Usually deserted after businesses close, I expected to have the area to myself, but a few distant cars cruised in the mist/drizzle and a group of men clutching bottles passed furtively, talking about religion.
I listened keenly for the sound of muffled beats, hoping to discover an elicit warehouse rave, but there was little but the distant sigh of traffic on the nearby bypass.
So the accompanying soundtrack to these photographs is a stumble through Korean shoegaze, dream pop, post-punk and electronica before getting lost in a Balearic house party.

she saw the lives crushed out, burned and flattened and transformed to smoke in an instant. and it was easy, like blowing out a candle, like crushing a moth under her finger; she had wanted it and it happened; she had willed it like a god.

i was looking for toge inumaki playlists out of curiousity and it was just mainstream indie songs 🧍🏾♀️🧍🏾♀️🧍🏾♀️🧍🏾♀️ not saying they're bad but i always thought of toge as a deftones radiohead slowdive kinda guy??? idk 🧍🏾♀️
if he wants something a little more melancholic he could listen to like the smiths or something. maybe add a little shoegaze to the mix.
uhhh anyway here's my take on toge inumaki

Happy belated new year! This year is looking out to be an interesting one, partly because its application season for the masters programs and partly because I have ~9 months left for my internship to get done and I gotta be a lil productive gremlin and scope out some future prospects!
I plan on gaining some semblance of routine back up and the two important ones is regular reading and sleeping early cause lord knows I really need to fix that lmao. Also hopefully the monthly reading wrap up will be restarting soon this year!!! I am excited once again to get that show on the road.
I plan on emptying out the tbr this year too along with a challenge I put myself up to when it comes to reading, hopefully I can start writing monthly reviews for those books (fingers crossed)!
Finally, I look forward to meeting soo many new people and making more wonderful memories.
