Today is a special day, for those of you who play 10 Days With My Devil.

Today is Shiki's birthday!

This adorable devil is a huge comfort character of mine (well all of the 10DWMD characters are), and his personality, mixed with his looks and powers are a power combo.

Whether it be the purple eyes that draw you in, to the adorable love of collectible toys, to the many many feels he gives, he sticks in your heart whether you love him or he's just another character.

I remember when I was just starting this game. I played Meguru first and then Shiki. Though Meguru will always be my favorite, Shiki is someone I just cannot express my love for. Whenever I was sad, I played his route. It's just the truth and I never realized how much I liked him until I replayed all the stories I have of him on this very day.

The many headcanons I have for Sheeks are not nearly as much as my love for him. I'm sure many people who love Shiki feel the same way.

Happy birthday Shiki Kurobane. Though you do not exist, you exist in many hearts. I'd say that's good enough, don't you think?

Final part: So she threatened to tell everyone at school that I was a loser that played otome games. Not really putting the pieces together that I could just do the same to her, because I was too afraid of being outted with my super secret interest I just meekly nodded. Never spoke to her again but a year later she had spread a rumor that I slept with her fake imaginary boyfriend from the wold of voltage, which was why the two broke up. i honestly...... don’t even know where to begin except to THANK YOU FOR BLESSING MY INBOX WITH THIS STORY. what a RIDE. honestly i read this last night before going to sleep and then i read it again this morning and it honestly was as good as the first time.

okay first off like.... i love that you just Knew(tm) even though she blocked out the sender (i’m CACKLING ABOUT THIS). like it’s such a high school thing to do to fake a bf. when i was around the same age i’m assuming (my schooling system is different from american grades but i was around 15ish) i used to like deliberately email my guy friends from other schools in front of my school friends to make it seem like i was really close with guys lol. but also crazy how stuff like this can actually change perception? i remember when i started dating this guy from another elite school in my city, i suddenly started getting a lot more attention haha - never had popularity/cliques in my school (or my year, anyway) but people started talking about me a lot more and it was kinda weird lmao.

the next thing i wanna know is HOW DID SHE TELL PEOPLE THAT THEY MET? esp since the earliest voltage games are like pirates in love, my forged wedding, sleepless, bodyguard, be my princess, thief x, in your arms tonight, which are all very different from like slice of life “my childhood friend and i confessed to each other finally” lmaoooooooo and some of their emails are VERY situational.

so i guess she must have shared some of the generic like “i’m so happy to have met you”, “the date with you on saturday was really fun”, “your cooking is the best!” ones but i went and dug up some of my old voltage emails and imagine if she shared these:

“sorry i called you a hippo earlier. let’s ask everyone at the bar to see if you look more like a hippo or a capybara” - yamato

anyway you know when i got to the bit where you went to talk to her i really thought like.... maybe this is how a friendship blossoms but the fact that she really was gonna use that as ammo against you when you coudl have EXPOSED THE FULL EMAIL LMAOOOO THIS GIRL. unreal. AND THEN THE FACT THAT SHE TRIED TO PIN THE ‘BREAKUP’ ON YOU ALSKJFL SLEEPING WITH HER VOLTAGE BOYFRIEND WHICH LIKE.... WHO WAS IT??? CAPTAIN MORGAN? MEDIEVAL KNIGHT SHION? DEMON ARISTOCRAT SHIKI? also it just makes it funnier that no one believed her hahaha what gave it away? the overly specific references to dramatic events that happened? like katsuragi’s one email which starts out like “your friend was kidnapped!” lmaooooo. i hope she came to peace with loving otoge and doesn’t treat it like a threat anymore lol.

so anyway i have to say i am really honoured that you’ve been sitting on this story for so long and you came to my inbox to share it lksjdlfksj this really made my day. this is the funniest story i’ve heard in my life and i’m sorry that this happened to you but thank u for putting up with being accused of sleeping with someone’s fake voltage bf so that we could enjoy this story today 😌✌

10 Days With My Devil, by Voltage. 😈

Plot: There was an explosion, but the MC, who was supposed to be in her apartment, was alive!

The five (handsome) devils discovered they made a mistake and when they were just about to kill her (again), she made a request:

So... they agreed with her request, but she must choose one of them to be her guardian for the next 10 days, before she dies (for real).

She's asked about what is the reason for wishing to stay alive these next 10 days. Depending on who she chooses, the reason is different, as you can see below:

“I just want to stay in bed and kiss you”- Shiki Kurobane prompt

Been a hot minute since I’ve read anything for one of my favorite demons! The second route I ever read (what like five years ago?) and I’m only just now doing a thing for him? Super excite!

Anyways this is for @shewolf-otomeplayer with much love! (Sorry again I haven’t played Mac’s route yet!)

Ima rate it m for slight maturity.

The blaring alarm cutting through the air made her jerk in surprise, blinking rapidly she shifted to roll over and double check the time. Nine a.m, perfect. She had planned for a nice date for herself and Shiki, her goal to get him to the Prize shop and seek out the newest editions with the new weekly shipments. Of all things, it was the only thing she could ever get him out of the house for.

Warm hands slid around her waist and across her stomach, gently pulling her back to the center of the bed. A soft murmur in her ear barely warned her before Shiki’s lips were on her earlobe, gently brushing across her skin and raising goosebumps along her neck.

“Time to get up!” She laughed breathlessly, feeling her stomach do a nervous flop at the attentions of her boyfriend. She did recall him getting in really late last night, a late toasting taking longer than planned, so she understood why he would still be exhausted despite their plans.

“No.” She heard him gripe back, one hand sliding deliciously high across her ribs and tucking just under a particular mound of flesh. The other that was curled under her moving down to the top of her thigh. She resisted a small whimper that waited at the back of her throat and swallowed thickly.

“Shiki, If we don’t go you may not get that new addition.” She warned, heat filling her up and scalding the areas where his hands roamed. The tickle of his hair brushed across her cheek and her neck as his lips moved down, leaving a warm damp trail just over her jaw and down to her neck. She closed her eyes and sucked in a deep breath at the sensations, the temptation to just give in and stay in bed getting to be more than she could bear.

“I don’t care.” He breathed against the back of her neck and shoulder’s, her eyelids fluttering at the sensation. Suddenly his grip was firm and he pulled her harder and faster against him, her back completely flush against his chest and hips. His hands gripped and massaged where they were, almost like a small apology for being rough even in a small moment.

“I just want to stay in bed and kiss you.” He nuzzled his way across her shoulder, lifting up to barely lean over her while his hand trailed slowly up across her chest, avoiding the areas she ached to be touched the most, and cupped her jaw to turn her head towards his before smothering her lips in a kiss.

They kissed until she felt the room spinning around her, lack of air making everything seem hazy and happy in her head. When he pulled away she gasped and blinked at him, the soft lazy smirk on his lips making her heart hammer in her ears.

Then suddenly he was flopped on top of her, smooshing her into the bed with his weight as his lips tickled her neck once more, pinning her with weight alone.

“Oof- Shiki! That tickles!” She squirmed, finding her arms pinned underneath her and unable to move as he kept pressing kisses to her pulse.
