📺 Use For My Talent Spoilers 📺

I'm rather new to watching Asian dramas, the extent of my viewing library reduced to a few of the C-Dramas available on Netflix. It's my mom and I's thing. Recently, We've dug into Use For My Talent, and as we come up on the end of the show, I have one burning question that's been floating around the back of my head since the beginning:

(spoiler below)

how the FUCK does this guy keep his fucking license?????

Let's review, Lu Xian:

🡲 Is loose with client information, actively shares Gu Renqi's status with others (granted, mostly with people close to him, but he does so without any consent from Qiqi himself)

🡲Fights with his clients until they run out of his house??

🡲Never actually gets to the root of Gu Renqi's trauma, focuses solely on "curing" Renqi's mysophobia and never touches on the cause of his condition (despite displaying that he actively knows and understands Grandpa Gu is the reason for his obsessiveness)

🡲HAS A CHALKBOARD IN HIS HOUSE THAT HE USES TO STALK GU RENQI'S PERSONAL LIFE???

🡲Unrelated but he has a stalking problem in general, with both Gu Renqi and Shi Shuangjiao

🡲Pursues his own romantic interest in Shi Shuangjiao by inserting himself to live in Gu Renqi's house, calls it therapy despite most of his actions being motivated by jealousy and a desire to separate Gu Renqi and Shi Shuangjiao

🡲Even when Gu Renqi is no longer his client, he just keeps?? Digging into his information??

🡲Oh yeah, and he

DRUGS GU RENQI INTO AN OVERDOSE

APPARENTLY BY ACCIDENT???????????? AS IF THE GUY WHO PRESCRIBED THE MEDICINE WOULDN'T KNOW HOW IT WORKED????

This is not a Lu Xian hate post, I appreciate some of the scenes that he's in, and by the end he's developed into a better character than he was at the start. But dear lord, does he even have a degree??? Is he LEGALLY allowed to treat people????

this entire scenario is so absurd... gu renqi’s mom is so desperate to set her son up with anyone that she hires shi shuangjiao to be his live-in housekeeper... then lu xian (who is shuangjiao’s neighbor and gu renqi’s ex therapist) shows up and says he’s ALSO going to move in to help cure gu renqi’s mysophobia but actually he’s just jealous. so now we’re here

Netflix Drama Review: Use for My Talent

Warning: Spoilers

This show centers around Shi Shuangjiao, a young woman from a working-class family. She is dealing with the recent death of her mother. Wanting to help her father and brother financially, she decides to get a job at a large, high-tech cleaning company, run by a rich and handsome germaphobe. Although the two do not get along at first, they eventually fall in love. Their love story, however, is met with challenges, like Shuangjoa’s disapproving family and her overly helpful neighbor.

Overall Rating 3/3: I really liked it, I would recommend others to watch it, and I would watch it again.

What I liked

Lots of funny moments (like the escalator kiss)

Visually beautiful, shot well

Falling in love between two main characters was gradual

Just enough storylines, kept my interest

Story outside of romance (like job and family issues) was developed

Germaphobia was not instantly cured through love

Lu Xian was not over used as the second lead

What I disliked

Back and forth between Junjie and Zhu Yan

Lu Xian being in love with Shuangjiao since childhood (too many dramas use that storyline imo)

Grandpa Gu suddenly becomes a nice person at the end, although we saw flashbacks with him verbally abusing Renqi through the whole drama (Why didn’t he give Renqi any of the gifts he bought? That part made no sense.)
