Looks like it's Gen this year, which doesn't surprise me. I love stupid friendships. The fact that F/F isn't second is a sign that I need to do better, though.

Looks like it's Ace Attorney with four! I'm pretty pleased with all of them, too. I really need to get back to the stardew AU...

10. What’s the longest work you wrote this year?

Imagine writing long fics; couldn't be me. Other than the fic that's actually just three days for 15 days fatt crammed into one, the longest thing I've written this year is shezleth tangled AU, which is just barely over 2k.

15. Are there any WIPs you hope to finish before the year is over?

I'm really hoping to finish the post-trilogy franmaya thing I have going. Sometimes you love someone who's hurt you and that person will just have to live with the knowledge of that. It would also be nice to finish the Cyril/Lysithea thing and my silly little Iruma-kun rarepair.

16. Are there any WIPs you’ve accepted will have to wait until 2024?

I'm not finishing Promare AU this year. I've actually got words on the page for it, but there is no universe in which I finish even the first chapter before next year.

I’m like halfway-3/4s through with that Dimilethshez fic? It’s Explicit and im like…man…

I gotta finish so I can do that MMO Shezleth AU where M!Byleth is a top ranking player on the Fodlan World Server of critically acclaimed MMO “Fire Emblem” (with a free trial up to “Skyward,” something that is definitely not “Heavensward”) and Shez is a newbie player who malds because he’s a topranker in a different MMO but kinda sucks ass at Fire Emblem PVP because the mechanics are different and he keeps getting Pk’d by the Ashen Demon.

And Byleth ends up befriending Shez on his low level alt which is F!Byleth, and no matter what Sothis says, it’s not catfishing if Shez just assumed his sex.

Shez, bitching about the Ashen Demon again: “What a fucking asshole.”

Byleth, on his F!Byleth alt and too horny to care that he’s insulting himself: “Yeah what a fucking asshole. I could beat him to death if you want.”

And Byleth also streams and gets Twitch sub and streaming money/donations and Shez hate-watches and uses it to stream snipe (he dies ofc and has to respawn).

And implications that past Fire Emblem games are just different servers with their own setting and laws and unique traits and major events.

It’s also astounding to me how some people blatantly miss how unhealthy some of my Shezleth depictions are because it isn’t explicitly tagged as “unhealthy.”

“Isn’t that just bad writing?” They are stories where, for example, Byleth is an obsessive stalker who breaks into Shez’s room and steals his belongings or “Byleth manipulates Shez and isolates him from his friends and support system.” Like even based on concept alone, it should be obvious.

I get unironic comments about how cute and wholesome some of these are.

Or the “Dimitri is clearly uncomfortable having sex but is manipulated into it” fic where one guy who hates dubcon/noncon apparently liked it and read it to end and bookmarked. Because the dubcon isn’t tagged.

God...like this was sort of hard because my favorite fic right now that's centered on them is about Shez being Byleth's adopted sister LMFAO, but ok I will forget about that for the meanwhile (but that's the whole reason I marked "mixed feelings", and also "like them better platonically")

I'm just a big fan of one-sided obsession (hatred), but they spend time with each other and actually end up liking each other lmao...and also, while I do now prefer the alternate universe of them being adopted siblings, in-canon they would be so cute and hot 😭 that "hold hands" space especially is so canon HAHAHHA

(This is one of the few ships I have where it's mostly an excuse for me to project I think? Like, I would let Vex do so many unholy things to me, and if I can't have that then Keyleth can go in my stead 😂)
