For the longest time to me the epitome of an 8th house overlay relationship were Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. I mean, these two...where to even begin. They both had mutual 8th house synastry, so they both fall into each other's 8th house, which is already unique on its own. She falls into his 8th house Cancer and he into her 8th house Pisces. I think if just one person puts planets in the other's 8th house, it's less intense, such as in Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield example of 8th house synastry. She falls into his 8th house Scorpio, but he is not in her 8th house. But back to JB and Selena, what is the most fascinating is the fact that he has Scorpio Rising at 29 (Leo degree) and she is Leo Rising at 8 (Scorpio degree)!! I honestly didn't know Selena had her ASC at 8 degrees. And I think here really no one is to blame, probably they both had their own share of emotional manipulation going on, but it makes sense why it was so challenging to move away from that kind of bond. Probably both know about each other things that their other partners will literally never know. And in both cases (Gomez Bieber and Stone Garfield) relationship was away from prying eyes or at least they strived to be.

I HAVE AN IDEA. We already have a Liyue and Inazuma Ver. of Genshin Ik, so what about Mondstadt? I propose to you, Genshin Ik, but she's the sister of Mona!
She was taught under the same mentor as Mona, and has a cute star themed outfit, but instead of a witch hat its a beret with a matching star logo, same as Mona! She has an electro vision, and she's probably a sword user?? Or maybe a bow user.
(Maybe something like this, but with less acessories : https://www.pinterest.ph/pin/5840674507677634/)
She uses her electro vision to do her readings by connecting constellations in lines using electro visually, and reads the constelation based on the linage made. Mona loves her with all her heart, would give her everythng she wants, if she wasn't broke. (well we got one thing canon ig)
Ik, Astaroth, and Belphie, all bond over astralogy, and have weekly meet ups after classes. Satan listens to her readings and musings about astrology very closely, interested about human world astrology. Ik has blackmail on everyone, and I mean everyone. Not even Lucifer can hide secrets from her. Maybe Barbatos considering he has time travel powers but nevermind that.
Also I have this small little scenario in my head that Ik accidently found out about Lilith while doing a reading in front of the brothers. Like this, so ik is doing a reading on Mammon in front of the brothers and then this happens. (lets just say Ik still doesn't know about lilith, but belphie already got out of the attic. Idk how this au works, but we'll go with it.)
Ik : Mammon, The Avater of Greed. Second Eldest and Second Most Powerful among the Seven Demon Brothers of Sin. Siblings with Lucifer, Leviathan, Satan, Asmodeus, Beelzubub, Belphegor and...
Ik : *squints at reading in confusion* What...?
Mam : What's wrong Ik?
Levi : Maybe Mammon's future is so messed up that Ik cant read it.
Mam : HEY!
Ik : Um,,, who's.... Lilith???
*Insert dead silence*
basically, mond ik, the sister of mona, can do astrology readings, and has blackmail on everyone. Sorry for writing this so long, have a good day.
i have a proposal for how belphie gets out of the attic so early: within the first week, ik's done preliminary readings on all six present demon brothers, including lucifer. and then at one point, at breakfast, she just goes, "so, mr lucifer, would you like to tell me why you have your brother locked in the attic?" and then drama ensues
anyway the electro-mancy astrology sounds really cool!! i like to imagine that this is a juvenile type of astrology that ik came up with on her own after gaining an electro vision, and she's always finding new ways to improve and invent new techniques - belphie and astaroth are her prime partners for bouncing ideas around, and she tries them out on just about everyone, and everyone is also very supportive and cheers whenever she's successful
back home, whenever they got money, mona and ik split it into thirds - one third for mona and ik each to spend as they liked, and one third would go into their savings. ik is in charge of managing the savings, and they come down with her into the devildom - early in the year, mammon attempts to nick them, only to be electrocuted as soon as he touches the bag
ik's not too mad, because he kind of reminds her of her big sister... so she helps mammon earn some extra cash by foreseeing lottery numbers and opponent's next moves in poker and stuff, and mammon couldn't be happier

long post sorry lol
i’ve posted about this before in kind of oblique joking terms but one of my professors in college whom i truly adored and admired, with whom i exchanged many emails even after i wasn’t in her classes (though i took as many of them as i could), and who was probably the closest thing i had to a ‘mentor’ in the admittedly flimsy academic structure of my undergraduate program is now a huge antivaxxer and general conspiracy theorist. she was always rather caustic and prone to luddism (she railed often against stuff like tinder killing romance and serendipity) and we certainly didn’t agree on a lot of media-related stuff, but that was something i really liked about her: i liked that we had such different tastes but that we still respected one another. she was intelligent and incredibly well-read, and it was in her classes that i first encountered many of the texts that would become foundational for my writing and general worldview—marxist psychoanalysis and sarah schulman and hilton als and derek jarman’s blue, to name a few. i always felt like i learned from her even when i disagreed with her (on media, not politics—i.e. she thought almost famous was drivel and that say anything was cameron crowe’s masterpiece; i think the opposite). but her criticism of contemporary society and media always seemed like it was rooted in a deep love of culture despite that—as in, she only hated so much recent crap because she knew that we deserved better as audiences and could do better as creators.
she also liked to talk about astrology (“ad-rock is the perfect example of a scorpio man!”) and homeopathic shit (my friend once emailed her saying she couldn’t come to class because she had a bad cold and she told her to take a shot of liquid oregano and come in anyway), but i ignored it because astrology especially was a common lighthearted talking point at my school. midway through 2020 she started posting on her blog about how frustrated she was with all the lockdown measures and the general state of the world, as we all were, and then it devolved so quickly from there into full-on antivax stuff. i’m talking pull quotes from RFK jr. and celia farber and glenn greenwald and even fucking joe rogan, and other shit like that. and now her whole blog is just pages and pages of antivax nonsense when she used to post screencaps from bresson films and excerpts from james baldwin’s writing. i feel like her blog could be used as a case study for the slippery slope of antivax conspiracy theory culture, how it started with one or two comments and then devolved into...whatever it is now. especially because she doesn’t fit the stereotypical antivax profile, because she was a marxist professor at a left-leaning liberal arts university who was known particularly for her critical thinking skills!
it makes me so sad, for mostly selfish reasons, because this was someone who is ultimately the source of so much of the influential work i now hold dear, and it’s difficult for that to not feel tainted now—even though the work obviously exists on its own with or without her. but it also makes me sad because reading her blog reveals the extent to which this kind of paranoia is truly so isolating (ironic lol) and how it feeds a genuine, livid hatred of the world that can never be satiated or soothed. you can’t enjoy anything with a worldview like that, as much as people who think this way claim that their fealty to capital-T Truth is based on wanting what’s best for humanity. i can’t imagine how exhausting and thankless and lonely it must be to go through life with that mindset. there’s no love in it, no grace. i think it’s pathetic, really. (in between the antivax stuff she talks about how miserable and exhausted she always is, how she isn’t moved by anything anymore, and the connection seems so obvious. how can she not realize it?) but i do still think it’s possible to critique contemporary society and media in the way that i thought my professor was doing while i was still her student—that is to say, with love: we do deserve better and can do better. but whatever she’s doing now isn’t that.
i suppose i’d like to think that she could change someday. we were still exchanging emails when she started posting that BS (i didn’t know; i wasn’t checking her blog) and not much seemed amiss to me, but obviously i haven’t contacted her in a while since. it’s a funny way to lose someone, i guess.

People, do all Libra stelliums have some problem with following rules/orders/instructions?
Like, someone says to them not to do smt and then they start to be like "but (...)" and if u don't insist or tell them w a stronger voice they will just do what they want?
My cousin is like that and she is a Libra stellium. Idk if it may be bc of her other placements so that is why I'm asking.

MAGIC SEEKERS, GRANTEES, AND MORE | Part 3 | 2,037 words
NOTE: Final installment of a short story! First part is here. The short story is 5,296 words total.
WHAT’S IN IT: Magic powers + agents + evil villain(?) forcing the good guys(?) to work with his son and see he’s not all that bad! It’s supposed to be a slightly less serious story, but not without a heaping cup of big drama and suspense
CW: Violence and mention of death
--
Zion sat in a dim interrogation room. The overhead lights buzzed like they were about to burn out. There was a nagging, growing pit in his stomach as a GIA agent asked him the same questions over and over.
"Why are you covering for this person?” the interrogating agent asked.
"I’m trying to tell you–he's not that kind of person!” Zion said. “He's never even killed anyone!”
“But he works for your father. Your father has people killed. That makes him an accomplice to a murderer.”
“My father doesn’t kill innocent people! It’s not like that! Maybe it’s not right… I don’t know. But he’s saved people’s lives when your organization sat back and said there was nothing they could do. I’m telling you… he’s not that kind of person.”
Vincent was standing in the room while Zion gave the speech. He’d been there the whole time, silently judging him as the interrogation went nowhere.
"But he'll plant twelve bombs around the city?" Vincent finally spoke up.
Zion grit his teeth and seethed at the way Vincent made him feel like a liar.
"Listen, if any more of these bombs go off," the interrogating agent continued, "you'll be held responsible.”
"Wait. Any more?” Zion asked. “As in, one of them already went off?"
"Yes. You're lucky there weren't any injuries or casualties."
"Oh my god!" Zion threw his head back in frustration and snapped back to narrow his eyes at the interrogator, "I told you the bombs were set up in a pattern. How am I supposed to help you figure out the pattern… if you don’t tell me anything?!”
“You need to tell us who did this so it doesn’t become a pattern,” the interrogating officer said.
Vincent, on the other hand though, seemed to contemplate whether Zion had a point. He didn’t want to give Zion all the details of the case. But at this point, he wondered… What harm could it do?
“The first bomb went off downtown at the old post office,” Vincent said. “There’s been no second bomb. There’s no pattern to find.”
Zion sucked his cheek in and squinted at the floor. Maybe that wasn’t enough for them to go off, but Zion knew the MA a lot better than that.
“Which had a fire a few years ago, right?” Zion asked.
“It did.” Vincent said, still annoyed. "Why?"
Tumblr media
Somehow, Zion convinced them to take him to a five-story office building downtown. It was a sleek building with shiny glass windows. The lobby and much of its decor were visible from the street, showcasing a white marble water fountain with angels carved into the sides as its grand centerpiece. Renaissance paintings even hung on the walls like it was a fancy art museum.
A couple of “FOR SALE” banners hung over the front of the building, listing a phone number in bold black lettering. The lights were on inside, but it was clearly abandoned.
The GIA had caution taped the street, checked the building inside and out, and hours later–there was still no leads about any bombs. The caution tape remained, but the GIA doubted anything was there. When the news got back to Zion, he insisted they take him there. Right to the building himself.
It sounded like a pointless trip, but given the circumstances and the letter from Mr. Marquette–they allowed it. They let him go with Vincent, who was beginning to feel like he’d wasted any faith he’d had in the kid.
“I don’t know what you think you’re gonna find that the GIA couldn’t,” Vincent said. “It’s empty.” Then he crossed his arms and leaned back into a street lamp, gesturing for Zion to go ahead without him.
“You don’t I’m gonna run away?”
“Your father said he’d send you right back to us if you did.”
“What?” Zion said, offended. It wasn’t that he didn’t believe Vincent. He did. It was just definitely like his father to make sure every detail had been accounted for.
Zion shook his head and headed across the street, ducking under caution tape on his way to the building’s front steps. He quickly headed inside to the front foyer, but once he got there, he slowed down to glance around and marvel. The foyer ceiling rose over twenty feet high, shimmering with accents of gold paint and imagery of gold suns all around. Zion remembered reading about the Apollo Center in the newspaper. It was rumored to sell for an estimated $2 billion.
Zion stopped in the middle of the lobby and stared at a glittering, gold sun behind the hardware and mechanisms of a giant clock. The fine details and luxury were definitely mesmerizing. It was hard to look away from the beauty and sparkle of all of it.
As Zion got lost in his trance, he almost didn’t hear as the entrance doors smashed open and glass shattered across the floor. The next instant, someone was grabbing him by the waist and he was out of the building before he could take his next breath. He opened his eyes facing the street and the change in scenery startled him. It happened so fast that he thought they had teleported back to the building’s front steps.
And in that moment of surprise, the deep boom of an explosion went off behind them. Smoke and debris flew into the air and clouded the street so fast that Vincent’s face fell and he ran into the clouds casting his time-reversing magic.
The clouds of smoke shrank backwards in time and pieces of debris reformed, but there was no saving the building. He could only reverse some of the explosion. But that was enough to repress the fire and shrink it to a single flame. It took some effort to get there, but it went out easily with a small gust of wind.
In the meantime, Zion had winced at the sound of the explosion while his savior, Vera, yanked him down the rest of the building steps–dashing into the street until they made it to safety on the other side.
“Oh my god,” Vera said, shaking her head at Zion’s foolishness, “I can’t believe you did that. Boss just realized what you were doing when he saw your location. He said NOT to do it again.”
     “Oh really?” Zion smirked.
“Do what again?” Vincent called from across the street, having just finished containing the fire. He took sharp steps Vera’s way now. He recalled her from the other day. She was part of the MA too.
“He also said not to get involved,” Vera whispered fast to Zion, “I’d love to help, but I don’t know anything.” And with that, Vera just took off in a speed run. She was gone with a blast of pink energy in the wind behind her.
“What was that all about?” Vincent said bitterly, “How did you know the Apollo Center was next?”
“I mean, I didn’t,” Zion shrugged, “not for sure. But I heard about this cover up after the fire. I know it was a small fire, but the damage was bad. One of the renovation crew members came to the MA and said the building was severely compromised… But he couldn’t say anything out of fear of retaliation.”
Vincent stared back at him, speechless. He wasn’t sure if he should believe Zion.
“My dad’s kept tabs on the building ever since the renovation. He had some of his agents check it out and they said the guy was right. It was a disaster waiting to happen. It could have collapsed on a bunch of innocent people.”
Vincent held his tongue for a moment longer.
“Then what do you think is next?”
“Well… there’s a few other buildings that should have been condemned too.”
Zion listed them off, and within the hour, the GIA got to work blocking all the corresponding streets off. It was enough for the GIA to stop pressing him for information, but Zion still insisted he visit each of the locations he’d given. Just as he had visited the Apollo Center.
Sure enough, if Zion was in any danger–if he came near any of the bomb sites–Vera was sent to stop him. It was a rather quick verification process. And by the end of the day, the agency had identified all twelve bomb locations thanks to Zion’s help.
The last building they stopped by was an apartment complex riddled with black mold and water damage, covered up by superficial renovations. Over a hundred tenants were scheduled to move in next week. So naturally, it was next in line to be blown up. GIA agents were already there though. The building went up into flames under a starry sky, and agents threw magic energy fields around it to contain it.
By that point though, Vincent and Zion had been walking back to the GIA headquarters. They had already left the scene, leaving other agents to take care of any fallout. But Vincent still stopped in his tracks and turned to watch the blazing fire captured by a rainbow of energy fields.
“You said your father doesn’t kill innocent people.” Vincent said, seemingly out of nowhere. He paused, appearing to be deep in thought. After a moment though, he continued, “So why did he kill agent Valli?”
     “Agent Valli?”
“Five years ago–a GIA agent was killed in broad daylight by an MA agent. It was all over the news. They said Mr. Marquette ordered it. There was even surveillance footage.”
“Oh…” Zion’s voice grew quieter. “I remember hearing about it… Yeah. It was one of his coworkers that came to the MA. With footage of a crime he committed… they erased it from the surveillance cameras, but his coworker kept a copy.”
“A copy? A copy of what? What crime?”
“Uh, well,” Zion said, not wanting to get into the details. It seemed like a touchy subject. “He set a fire. People died.”
“Set a fire? Are you kidding me? He literally saved people from a burning building the week before they killed him.”
Zion blinked, nervous as Vincent took a step closer.
“The Aurora Havens?” Zion asked to confirm if that’s what he was referring to.
     “Yes, the homeless shelter.”
“That’s…” Zion scratched the back of his head, “...that’s what he set on fire.”
Vincent stared back, processing a wave of anger in complete silence. It looked like he was trying to decide what he was going to do–if he wanted to hit Zion or kill him right then and there. But after about six seconds of Zion holding his breath in fear, all Vincent did was shake his head and say, “No.” in a grim tone. He rejected Zion’s story. It couldn’t be further from the truth to him.
“I’m… I’m not lying.” Zion was sweating this one out. He was starting to think he should have just lied and said he didn’t know anything. “I swear.”
But the situation didn’t escalate much further.
“Go.” Vincent gave him a cold look. “Get out of here. And stay away from the GIA.”
Confused, but not stupid, Zion heeded his warning and ran off.
Their business together was done. He had helped the GIA like his father wanted. There was nothing more to discuss. Vincent and the rest of the agency could continue to hate him if they wanted to.
Only a few weeks later though, Zion walked into the MA intel room and froze at the sight of Vera with Vincent. Vincent sat at a computer watching the rollback of footage from the night the Aurora Havens caught on fire. Confirming that every bit Zion had told him, was true.
Mr. Marquette didn’t kill innocent people.
Vincent’s father, Agent Valli, was a murderer.
Nothing was said for a long while. Vincent had even noticed Zion’s entrance in the security cameras nearby and said nothing. The footage was hard to accept. He hadn’t wanted it to be true. He didn’t want to remember his father this way. It had taken him a few weeks to even entertain the possibility–to ask the MA to show him the footage.
When he finally turned around, all he said was:
“How do I join the MA?”

One of my coworkers is a baby witch and she’s such a sweetheart! I offered to email her a couple good beginner resources and PDFs the other day and she was so excited about it. Every time I see her at work she waves me over and reaches into her pocket to show me whatever crystal she’s carrying that day, it’s adorable how excited she is to learn about it!

Sun Sign Astrology Lesson ft. Shino Aburame and Obito Uchiha: Aquarius Suns
The Sun Sign is THE sign people are asking for when they simply ask, "What's your sign?" And just like the sun, your sun sign is what shines through the most, big and hard to ignore, no matter what the rest of your natal chart looks like. The Sun symbolizes our Waking Consciousness and determines how we (for the most part) perceive and experience our world, and how we generally act unprovoked and without incentive.
The only real problem? Every Zodiac Sign has a Celestial Body Placement (planet, star, satellite, ect) that is their Domicile (Ruler), Exaltation (or Amplifier), Fall (Weakening) and Detriment (Opposer).
The Sun is Leo's Domicile, and the opposite of Leo is Aquarius which, in the Sun, is in Detriment. When a Sign is in Detriment/Opposed in a Placement, it's just REALLY difficult for that sign to function in that Placement's designated purpose or specialty. And that, my friends, is why Aquarius Sun individuals are so commonly seen as these unadjusted weirdos, right off the bat. The rest of the chart can balance the Aqua Sun out, but it's not a guarantee.
•••
So it stands to say that Shino Aburame, as an Aquarius Sun, is one of those oh so stereotypical, "quirky" and "rebellious" Aquarius. Those commonly described as "friendly but detached" in schmoozing magazines and trendy online articles.
Except, he doesn't come off as friendly at first. It's not that he's hostile or unfriendly. He's just blunt as a club and has no patience for tomfoolery. He is without a filter. Simply, he's most likely a Virgo Rising. Earth Signs in general are the most guilty of having RBF Syndrome (especially in the Rising Placement, which designates appearance/mannerisms/presence). Even if you can't clearly see Shino's face, you can tell very quickly Shino is the kind if person who is very much serious and stiff under all those layers. Despite that, he's very well put together and you can see he dresses for efficiency (hiding his Kikaichu and giving them room) as much as he does for fashion (he even dresses in earthy colors lol). The rest if the clan does this as well, though, so that could be a clan culture thing. Shino also has a very analytical way of speaking, and first impressions of him seem to mark him as nitpicky, careful, and a loner, which is out of comfort, not necessarily desire. Comfort and Practicality is what marks an Earth Sign. Compared to Virgo, Aquarians tend to be a lot more friendly and outwardly "eccentric" (and yeah, he is weird, even for an Aburame lol) but are also Independent and main Logic as Air signs. Being Independent and being a Loner aren't the same thing, but he ends up doing both in the beginning anyway.
In comparison, Obito Uchiha is very much an Aquarius full force, it shines through even his Rising, which I would wager to be a Leo Rising specifically, being both a Fixed and Fire sign. Aquarius is ALSO a Fixed Air sign, which can symbolize Fixed Ideoloy. Super stubborn, has to be right, and BOY does this dude really fixate on that poor girl Rin Nohara. Another type of characterization Aquarius is known for is that of The Humanitarian, but that's usually an evolved Aquarius. A low frequency Aquarius is a know-it-all that never admits they're wrong and is constantly trying to appear "different and unique" because they think it actually means "better" for some fucking reason?? Arrogant AF haha. They ARE the Black Sheep, they're the Hipsters, the Alien that doesn't belong, they're the one's with the ideas that will change the world, even though everyone else ignores them or thinks they're full of shit (tho a lot of them really are!). Plus, with a Leo Rising, he comes off as very self centered and wanting to be the main attraction, something Kakashi doesn't let him have, especially in front of Rin lol. But still, Leos are also very kind and generous (though ppl tend to not see it). I mean if it meant protecting Rin, Obito quite literally GAVE Kakashi his Sharingan possessing EYE... yeah... And one of my favorite Dark Side characterizations of Aquarius is that of the Evil Mad Scientist that Plans to make Humanity their bitch. And, like, OBITO BASICALLY HAD THAT AS AN AIM?? In a sense? Or was super okay with helping because he was like, "Yeah, I can get behind this." It took some manipulation, but if you appeal to an Aquarius' mind, they become very dedicated to a cause. Very Aquarius of you, Obito.
To be honest I don't know too much about Obito or Rin, but I can sure see the Aquarius in his general character design from what I've stumbled upon (spoilers due to roaming tumblr really) There's also Suigetsu Hozuki, but I really don't know anything about that guy other than he's basically a Human Vaporeon and the fact he COULD have murdered Sasuke at one point but DIDN'T because... he figured it wasn't worth it?? Didn't care enough? Would ruin the plot? Idk.
Anywho, yeah, if at least Shino and Obito aren't examples of naturally unadjusted Aquarius Sun individuals, then shit bro. At least Shino grows up into a HEALTHY individual. Obito... was unfortunate... But I've always liked the Aquarius-like Villains/Antagonists. They always come off kinda crazy, but the best have that barely contained crazy with that super warped out there thinking haha.
(Also, Capricorn-like antagonists like Satsuki Kiryuin from KILLlaKILL. She's a Ruthless Boss Ass Bitch if I've ever seen one, and I LOVE that about her <3)
You gotta be a little more patient with Aquarius Suns, it's gonna take them a while to really... "get it". Or at least give things a chance lol. Fixed signs are very stubborn.
