Suzanne Collins really sets the bar for bestselling authors. Absolutely 0 public presence. Disappears for a decade and reappears with tbosas. Like she could have written anything in thg universe for a quick buck and it'd have sold but she came back with an effective story and specific message in mind and pulled it off flawlessly.
Wen Qing: Okay, truth or dare?
Wei Wuxian: Truth
Wen Qing: How many hours have you slept this week?
Wei Wuxian:
Wei Wuxian: …Dare
Wen Qing: Go to bed.
Wei Wuxian: I don't like this game.
So glad to see Ai enter the scene! So glad in fact I got in the mood to watch the old episodes again! I'm watching the one with the man with the bandages, it's the case where we first meet Sonoko's sister and Sonoko is used as Conan proxy for the first time!
One thing though, during that case Ran is nearly murdered in her sleep by the culprit and was saved because she and Conan were sleeping in the same bed. But would Conan share a room with Ran in your AU when he's believed to be Shinichi's little brother? How does she survive this time around? I'm curious.
The episode is one of the early one's, which means Conan is in his "waiting constantly for a chance to make a run for it" phase.
And since I like the idea of Shinichi in the episode (so he can get pissed off at the culprit attacking Ran) it's pretty much the boys sharing a bed, making sure the kid doesn't get stupid ideas, and Ran having her own, before she asks to join them. Conan is very much in the middle and trying not to groan at the fact that, once again, fate has foiled his plans.
Sonoko doesn't get the "Sleeping Detective" treatment, but whenever Shinichi and Kogoro aren't around, Conan likes to give her hints and making her solve the cases, since she doesn't question him too hard.
