But I feel like Angel would be the kind person to have a LOT to say at catnap- about how he treated Dogday, practically made everything worse around the factory at the hand of a madman, their obsession with returning to a world that probably didn't even exist in the first place causing them to make their friends live in what is no doubt hell-

Angel sees Mommy Long Legs about to bring all of what they've wanted to say Catnap when they weren't trapped inside of the murder building- and refuse to let the chance to speak their piece first and lets those words flow into one of the more intense, curse filled monologues you would see aimed at someone.

Good news, Mommy was stunned long enough to save catnap-

Bad news, Catnap has been utterly broken.

I think Angel would see that as a win tho-

Not sure if this is actually how your angel character would be- and may me projecting my own thoughts onto them- but I think it would be very hilarious and a good way for Catnap to have any lingering very dumb ideas get ripped out of his skull- by getting yelled at violently to the point he wishes he were dead!

...Well, that and DogDay. But really, I think DogDay wouldn't dare to say anything to CatNap about it. After all... He's so desperate for his old friend, he's willing to pretend nothing is wrong.

Meanwhile? Angel, I can absolutely see them being the type to lay into CatNap for all the shit he's done. Hell, my mental image for the Angel is that their first reaction is to punch whatever scares them - which doesn't work often. So, yeah. They absolutely wouldn't let that shit fly.

As for CatNap, that's easy enough.

He would feel like absolute shit just hearing all of it. But the worst thing? He knows DogDay's ripped torso isn't vanishing like a Toon's wounds should. To be met with smiles as bright as sunshine from the one he hurt most? He would absolutely start to beg for death instead.

im so mad that this is a side blog account and not a main account. i started this blog when i was still relatively new to tumblr and i think i was… like. fourteen years old or something. i never thought i would continue for this long, and i never knew so many people would like the content i put out here (i have over 9k followers which is literally mind-blowing, like wow….).

because this isnt a main account, i cant respond to replies left on my posts, i cant really reply to anyone unless i reblog !! i cant even follow people with this blog, it just comes up as my main blog (which is not pjo-related… rip my failed attempts at organising my fandoms to different blogs). so my avenues of interaction with a lot of you are seriously impeded.

HEY GUYS WE'RE WINDING DOWN THE YEAR AND I HAVE SOMETHING NICE TO SAY

Six months ago I finished the first prototype of a little game called Slasher U: Act 1, and I was wondering if I should share it with the big fuckin' scary world while I finished the rest of it, or just keep tinkering until it was done and launch it into the world when it was perfect (aka the Normal Way to Launch Games).

You can probably guess which option I went with. :V

I am SO, SO GLAD I decided not to, like, toil in obscurity with this thing. So much of game dev is done behind closed doors and then lobbing a whole pot of spaghetti to the wall hoping it sticks. I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE YOU GUYS GIVING FEEDBACK ON MY SPAGHETTI as I lovingly stick it onto the wall.

I'm just so excited you guys are as excited about my dumb blorbos and game design and actual, like, game that exists, as I am. I launched this thing into the world in the last week of April with almost zero fanfare with the most Back to the Future "You know that new sound you've been looking for?!?!? WELL LISTEN TO THIS!!!" energy I have ever mustered. I think I just figured if I made my dream, perfect, everything-I-wanted dating sim (WIP, obvi, lol), then SURELY SOMEONE ELSE OUT THERE would want it too.

So, yeah. Thank you for the best six months of game dev I've ever ever ever enjoyed. :DDDDDDDD I can't wait to stick the landing on Act 2 too. NO PRESSURE RIGHT?? lmao

Hi y'all! Looks like I'm going to continue doing character analysis lol. So, it's time for HSMTMTS Appreciation Week Day Two: Favorite Dynamic

Now, my favorite dynamic is seblos. And I will talk about them a bit, but I talked about them yesterday, so I wanna focus on some of the others :).

First of all, Ricky being besties with anyone heals my soul <3. He's just such a good friend. With Big Red, with Carlos, with Nini when they weren't together (think season 1), with everybody really. Also, @phoebenpiperx wrote an amazing fic about his friendship with Seb this I totally recommend, and totally believe now as well.

But anyway, about Big Red, for example. They're like, the most supportive besties ever. They tell each other all the tea, they're always there to cheer each other on (BATB auditions, the fact that Big Red joined crew accidentally just because he wanted to be there for Ricky, etc). And one of the moments I love the most is Ricky coming after his breakup with Nini. Big Red just immediately gets up and hugs him. Also, an underrated part of their friendship is how they manage to make each other laugh. Like Big Red in 1x05 when he starts pretending to be Gina. I just- honestly I love them so much <3.

Not to talk about another Ricky dynamic lol, but I love his dynamic with Carlos! And the thing I find really interesting, is it kinda reminds me of his and Gina's dynamic. Not dating, obviously, but think about it. In season 1, Ricky and Gina have a special connection in the beginning because they're both outsiders. Carlos and Gina have that same connection, explored with the co-choreographer thing in season 2, but it's a bit more tumultuous (thinking of 2x04). And Ricky and Carlos do as well. I've never spent too much time thinking about it before, but it's interesting. Of course, all of the Wildcats are outsiders to some degree (that's kind of how theatre is lol), but it's definitely highlighted in the way these three interact with each other. And yet somehow, those three relationships are all completely different. It's SO good, and it's how you know the writing is good.

Lastly (besides a bit about seblos), I wanna talk about Kourtney and Seb! I seriously love their relationship :D. It's just so cute 🥰. And theatre family (Kourtney being Seb's mother lol) really can go deep lol. I've consistently called someone my ex-husband for a year (as in "Hi ex-husband" "Hi ex-wife"), and that show didn't even go on lol. Also, their friendship gave us the wonderful "Seb was struck by lightning" information, which is lovely xD. Now one thing I personally think exists in their dynamic, but we don't really see, is being "side characters". Like, not literally, and Kourtney has definitely been getting more and more focus (as she should!!), but more in their lives. Kourtney as costumer, Seb as accompanist. Kourtney as Nini's best friend. And as I mentioned yesterday in my last post, I see Seb as kind of "the positive one". And sometimes that can be isolating. I'm not quite sure how to explain what I'm thinking here lol, but I hope it's getting across. I just think they have kind of a commonality in stuff like that. Also, I'm pretty sure they're gonna be sharing the bond of Sharpay soon (as in technically we don't know Kourtney is Sharpay yet, but like xD it seems pretty likely lol), so that's another point xD. And of course, them telling each other they can do anything in 1x08, and the ~thinking jazz~ scene in 2x03 are both amazing and so lovely :'D. They just genuinely listen to each other, and try to help each other out (even when dealing with their own stuff), and I love that for them :).

Anyway! Now a bit about seblos. I'm not gonna repeat what I said yesterday, but I do want to say a few more things about them! First of all, their reactions after Carlos asks Seb to homecoming are ADORABLE!! The fact they were both equally excited kills me (in the best way possible) :)) :'DD. Also, I of course have to mention the significance of dance in their storyline - Carlos giving Seb lessons, homecoming, In a Heartbeat, and Camp Prom. There may even be more! It's just such a sweet parallel :'). And it's especially cool to see since Rina has the same thing - and they seem to be the longest lasting endgame couples (based on Rina's development, not when they started dating). Interesting 👀. Also, considering that dance is so important to Carlos (and it's widely thought of in the fandom that Carlos really only had dance for a long time), and seems significant to Seb (from being the only musical theatre person in his family), it's extra sweet to see it brought into their relationship :'). And don't even talk to me about how the whole video situation in 2x05 relates to that. I guess I'm just kind of thinking, they had dance in different ways, and dance kind of honestly brought them together, and it continued into their relationship :). Oh and speaking of 2x05, Seb wanting to do all of that for Carlos is literally the cutest thing ever <33. They love each other so much your honor, and I love them :'D.

And to think I thought this post would be short lol. But, I hope y'all enjoyed reading my thoughts on some of the relationships in HSMTMTS. Don't get me wrong though,I totally love every one, and I may talk about some more I'm the future :D. But yeah! I had fun with this :). Hopefully I can do something for each day! I'm definitely enjoying getting to share my thoughts about some of my favorite characters (and such) :D.

I know it's annoying but I'm not done thinking about Pokémon, especially Pokémon Legends Arceus. Like the game is already a breath of fresh air in the franchise but what's really frustrating is that I know it could have been the best pokemon game of all time if capitalism wasn't a thing and the Pokémon company let their developers actual time to make good games, rather than prioritizing the numbers of game coming out in short time.

Like they really really didn't need to have the 9th generation coming out this year, Legends Arceus could have had DLCs and I know people would have been all over it.

More than anything though, if Gamefreak developpers had as much time and means for Legends Arceus as the Legend of Zelda team had for Breath of the Wild, there would have been no need for a 9th generation to come out the following months it would have probably made enormous sales

I would rather wait for a well developed game that take me hours to finish then one that was barely scrapped together so the next one could be produced and so on.

!!! has to be said i love all sorts of comments!! scream at the characters' bad decisions, just scream, write how much you want to hug the characters, tell me when you laughed, go line by line talking about what hit you the most, try to guess what's going to happen next, leave extra kudos, anything you want!!

i think the only comments i don't appreciate are the ones correcting grammar or spelling or pointing out typos - i live by the philosophy that if i give you 19k words for free and there are 100 typos and grammatical errors, then the math still works out in my favor and i have given you more good, typo-free words than typos!! so i don't really care about my misspellings.

🎈describe your style as a writer; is it fixed? does it change?

i feel like my style changes for the story!!! i try to stay away from a lot of metaphor or flowery language in general though. i guess i focus a lot on dialogue and breaking up big paragraphs with short actions or dialogue. i really want my fics to be like. understandable for the most part. i think i definitely have some heavy and dark fics with twisted reasonings and stuff, but for the most part i like that my fics are pretty easy to read and straightforward and accessible to people who don't know or care much about the details of canon !! because that's how i came careening into this fandom haha

🧿what steps do you take to not take things personally if a fic doesn't do well, or if your writing/posting/sharing experience isn't going how you'd like it to?

tbh i log off i go for a walk i paint i read a book i do my nails i take a shower etc etc there is no predicting what this fandom will like most at any given time because fanons and tropes that are popular and "in" change so frequently and so quickly. but i write for myself, what i want to write and what i find interesting, and so if i'm feeling like i'm getting into my head about ""the numbers"" of a fic, then i log off and take a break for a bit until i remember again it's all for me, babyyy
