"During a routine inspection by Prince Miko the facility was overrun by the rogue agents Venge-Cell. With Miko's Tao-Code they will be able to take control of the Fairy Gear! We cannot let this happen."

"Your job is to infiltrate, rescue Prince Miko, and defeat Venge-Cell. Fairy Team Seven are also being sent in on a rescue operation, this will provide you the distraction to slip in. This is a covert mission, Fairy Team Seven is not to know you are there. Get the mission done!"

It really is quite the most beautiful thing, and Armor Knight may not know this, but this island is much better than what Carmilla has seen compared to what she would call 'The cities in the Outside World'.

Of course, such talk would have to wait, with the current situation both women are facing right now. As for whehter Millia could ride…

"Here, let me help you up, Millia… There we go. Easy now."

Helping the girl up, Carmilla lets the Armored Knight give the instructions to her steed, as the secratary gently laid down the other's body onto the horse securely so she wouldn't fall off on the way to a nearby clinic.

"We'll be back before you know it, with the people the Gladiator took. Rest easy."

Giving a nod and watching the horse ride off after preperations were complete, the woman then turned towards the other with a serious look.

"Let's go, Armored Knight. Our quarry is up ahead."

Venturing into the cave deep within, it didn't take long for them to find… what looks to be an underground temple.

The doors were already open as they ventured forth, with a few familiar symbols and runes carved upon the walls. Ancient ones, from a bygone age, for those who are familiar with the island's history.

Upon closer inspection on the sides of the floor, there were pieces of human-like statues smashed into pieces, along with traces of… what looks like ice.

With the both of them venturing further into the temple and into it's halls, what the two of them were greeted by as they turned around the next corner... were definitely the signs of what looks like to be ancient ruins.

It was, as one would guess, a temple called 'The Temple of the Phoenix', with the sound of waterfalls in the background which covers the Knight and Carmilla's footsteps.

Upon closer inspection at the center of the area, there were a small crowd of people, with a certain man right who stood out from the crowd. He should look familiar, as his portrait was seen not long ago.

"Sssh."

Gesturing the Knight to hide behind one of the rocks, Carmilla crouched to observe the people in front of her.

"Search the area. I want to see every penthouse, doghouse, treehouse, and outhouse in this area combed. Understood? Whoever manages to find it first gets a personal reccomendation from me to BnB! Move out!"

There he was. The blonde which was in the guild's records. Gladiator. He does have a certain air of... charisma around him, too.

And among them… were ordinary young men and women. One of them even crying, for reasons obvious to them.

One look at them, and anyone could tell… they weren't even soldiers. They came into this area without armor, and only basic spears made out of wood, and pitchforks.

In other words, you wouldn't even need battle experience to tell. Anyone with that kind of equipment is like sending them to a death march.

"But…"

There were a few small murmurs among the crowd, which were immediately noticed by the blonde. Stomping his foot down in irritation, the crowd perked up with a salute.

"Y-Yes, sir!"

And with that proclamation, the 'soldiers' went on their seperate ways, each taking different entrances at once, with the man leaning on one of the walls.

"The Phoenix's Relic… does what she say really exist?…"

The one they call 'Gladiator' was alone. The ruins seems open enough to move around, and it doesn't look like the crowd would return anytime soon.

"What do you think we should do, Miss Knight? I mean, I know it's not good to just charge ahead, but…"

On one hand, they could learn more about what they're finding, but on the other hand, every minute the both of them stand by would mean an increased chance for the citizens to run into some kind of trouble.

What to do…?

It had been a nice and peaceful ride to the south of the island. Mokumoku was the largest island of its chain but it was not so great as to leave any part beyond riding distance of the center. There was something peaceful about riding in the country of the island. Even with a far less experienced rider gripping on so tightly. To ride beneath a beautiful blue sky set her heart at ease.

Granted the view of that sky was soured by the crow that continued to encircle them on their journey. Armor Knight knew exactly what it meant. She'd be raising a complaint with that little bird's keeper once they had returned.

"Ain't the island just the most beautiful thing? It's hard to even think of home when I'm somewhere like this. 'Course that only makes it all the worse to be dragged away by a job."

Her chivalric display earlier may have created the idea that Armor Knight was of nobility but her manner of speaking betrayed her common raisings. The words she used were vulgar shortenings that a peasant would use. Granted with the amount of armor covering her body and steed it would be tough for any to claim she was not a knight.

As they neared their destination the beautiful smile on her face faded. Snapped arrows, unnatural scorches on the ground, pools of water from melted ice that never should have been here intermixing with slivers of blood. Some form of conflict had happened here. She gasped. Her eyes had fallen upon the woman. A casualty!

Armor Knight had dismounted near as quickly as Camilla. The weight of her armor kept her just a few steps behind the sprightly secretary. As Milia rose to her feet the knight was there to provide a shoulder to lean against. So a sorcerous was assisting Gladiator? There were a number of unreliable sorts among the guild magi. She often wondered if magic drew in the morally questionable or if it was simply a matter of how common nobility was in magi.

"I can appreciate your concern Cammy, for myself and your friend. What I can't appreciate is leaving a poor secretary to fend against whatever wicked serpent dwells nearby. Can Millia ride? She may take my steed."
