Personal shit under cut.
Today would have been my mom's 67th birthday.
I miss her lots and I'm a crying mess right now but I just wanted to let these feelings out and not hold it in because I feel like she would be mad that I'm stopping my life because she's dead. I can hear her in my head saying "ay mija, stop letting the world pass you by. Enjoy your life." At the same time though I know she would be saddened to know that my life has kept moving without her. I mean I got married exactly a month after she died.
Anyway, all this dumping to say I miss my mom.
Now to share a story about her.
We took this picture in 2001 at the opening of DCA in Anaheim. Most of the rides were closed cuz it was raining, not the carousel tho. We rode that thing like 3 times in a row, maybe more. She held my hand because this was after we went to see "it's tough to be a bug" and the damn show scared the hell out of me because I was 9 and afraid of spiders and roaches. She always held my hand whenever I was scared. I held her hand throughout her illness and even when I painted her nails for her funeral. The last picture I have with her is holding her hand before we said goodbye the last time.
I hope that wherever she is, she's happy, not in pain, and with her family. She had a hard life, and an even harder last 8 years. She was my sun and moon. She was my best friend, my comfort, and my mommy. I don't know how many people have been lucky to have a loving mom like her, but I can definitely say I was one of them.

No, I don’t know who Josiah Lamborn was. Maybe “nobody”, maybe only important because he commissioned this house from W.H. Weeks who was quite the influential architect. (The J.L. listed in wikipedia might have been this man’s grandfather or great grandfather; was the prosecutor in Illinois case of conspiracy to murder Mormon Joe Smith. But that’s a whole ‘nuther story ... )

Built a desk today, feeling accomplished 😎
Also feeling ouchy because my elbow kept popping around when using the screwdriver
And my fingers kept subluxing when making the brown sugar (using fork to mash molasses into sugar until even texture/colour)
And my right hip kept popping around today overall
My right knee only gave out once though ✌️

i am super excited to share this new custom content set with you!
as you might have heard by now, the lovely MissSimReno and i developed a concept together for a coastal / traditional style family room! we were very inspired by the theme of brindleton bay, the world that came with the cats&dogs expansion pack, but also by our real life experiences as we both live near the sea, even though april she lives in the usa and i live in germany, we still had the same vision in mind.

a/n: there is no face claim, I just can't resist te perfection that is Anya Taylor-Joy(I wanted to save her for a Häkkinen!reader, but couldn't stop myself when I started the dior montage). those are little snippets from her life between the GQ video and Bahrain 23', to give some context. I gave names to y/n mother, sister, stepfather and etc, because I find mad confusing to put a bunch of y/mn, y/s/n, y/bff/n, it gets tiring and confusing especially if it comes one after the other in a social media tag or paragraph, thats the only reason I gave them names. there is a few tennis players in this story, not too crazy, but as it is a character a little bit inspired by break point some of those guys will show up and the netflix show will be mentioned. comment and give it a like if you like, I love to read what you guys have to say and your thoughts. I also gave a name to the series, it is very cliche but I couldn't think of nothing better.

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance and we honor the lives of trans, Two-Spirit, non-binary and gender diverse people who have lost their lives due to transphobic violence. The world is not getting safer with anti-trans legislation and violence on the rise.
A few things you can do:
- center and uplift the voices of trans, Two-Spirit, non-binary and gender diverse folks— especially those at the intersections of oppression (such as BIPOC, trans femme folks, sex workers and folks with disabilities)
- donate to organizations who provide support (such as financial, community, healthcare, legal and legislative advocacy) to trans folks
- stay informed on trans issues globally and nationally— but also locally. At lot of really actionable change begins close to home.
