Jason’s college years
So I am thinking he would bounce around as much as possible and still get a degree. Because he likes adventure and doesn’t like to keep still. It is encouraged to travel if you want to be a secret agent.....
I am thinking he would go to CCCC at first, to save money. And there, he met Gloria, from Connellsville, dating her throughout college, though they went to different colleges later on, which put a strain on their relationship.
then, he transferred to Duke University in North Carolina, where his father went and his grandfather taught at. added bonus, he taught history, which is a useful degree to get for a future secret agent. Plus, Jason wanted to be with family while also being away on an adventure, and this fit the compromise, as he got to see his parents and sister often when they came down to visit. He tried to get up to visit, but didn’t as much as he or they would like, especially since he was traveling or in an internship for most of his breaks, because he liked it and for his future career. He was determined to be a secret agent, and this helped him focus which he wasn’t always inclined to do. Partly because of his father, partly because of the adventure, and partly he wanted to serve his country.
I am going with the regular timeline of (in my AIO complete guide) Jason born in 1959. But this is before he moves to Odyssey in 1994 (?) where time slows down. [or it’s still early 2000s, in any case, Jason is in his late 30s according to AIO wiki....}
tentative timeline -
Graduate high school – 1977  - valedictorian
Gap year – 1978-1979 – travel – World Tour I - Australia, Ireland, Scotland, France, East Germany, Austria, Paraguay, Brazil, Chile, Mexico
1979-1981 – go to Campbell County Community College (save $)

1981 – summer – volunteer in Zaire (now DRC)
1981-1984 – go to Duke University – study International Relations and History with a concentration in Eastern Europe and Middle East. [grandfather still teaching history there -
1982: study abroad in Scotland for a semester – University of St Andrews
1982 – summer—volunteer in West Germany
1983: study abroad in Oman for a semester
1983 – summer – internship with NSA
1983--fall: Recruiters from NSA give him aptitude test at college
1984 – summer – World Tour II – go to some places he didn’t get to go the first time. Rome, Spain, Morocco, Egypt, Ethiopia, South Africa, Turkey, India, Japan, South Korea
