Just when I thought I couldn’t get sick (from having a really good immune system due to working in childcare), my body decided that, no actually, you will get the sickest you’ve been in two years.

I’ve almost used up a whole box of tissues, which is my only accomplishment of the week

I can't stop thinking about that one time that I was studying abroad and I had the WORST cold of my life and I took my temperature and burst into tears because it was 102 and I didn't know how to translate that into Celsius (I was so delirious I didn't remember that automatic thermometers can like... just switch to Celsius for you) and also I couldn't remember how to say "I'm sick" in my host language and just... all the potential of this scenario guys I am rattling the bars of my enclosure

thank you so much anon, here’s a short clip with pretty much half coughing/half sneezing, because as this cold has my nose so sensitive and itchy that i can’t stop sneezing, but hitching and the irregularity of my breathing when i sneeze tickles my throat and chest and makes me cough.

this clip is short and my sneezes sound weird due to how congested i am and also because i’m trying to hold them back (and failing) because the more i sneeze the more i cough and the more my head and throat hurt :( it’s not horrible but it’s certainly annoying

Okay, so I really needed to sneeze, right? But it refused to come out!

That was a few minutes ago, and while I could briefly breathe afterwards, now I’m all congested again.

so i was sitting in lecture and the prof decided to do this mindfulness exercise, and RIGHT as the room went silent my nose started itching. and ofc i thought "wouldn't it be funny if i had to snz right here in this crowded, silent lecture hall?" and of COURSE as my luck would have it i pretty quickly realized that was exactly what was about to happen.💀for those of u who know me, you'll know i'm pretty damn good at holding back🙃but this sneeze was STRONG. i kind of subtly put my finger under my nose and managed to stifle completely silently, with my head only lurching forward a little. so embarrassing!!

but it gets WORSE bc when i stepped OUT of the lecture hall it was sunny with a little bit of a breeze and lots of pollen-filled trees around, and u all KNOW what that means. i had barely gotten out of the building when i sneezed a pretty violent single into the sleeve of my sweatshirt, and for those of u that like mess (it's not my fav, but nonetheless), there was SO MUCH like visible snot all over my shirt sleeve that i had to like immediately hide my arm in case anyone saw it😳managed to somewhat subtly rub it off on my jeans and bike away in shameeee🫣

Went to cvs a few days ago to buy makeup for my show which opens tomorrow and one of the employees had an AWFUL cold. Constant sneezing, sniffing, coughing, nose blowing, and she wasn’t wearing a mask 😖 I was stuck in there for about 30 minutes, and I kept my distance and wore a mask, but today I woke up w a cold 😢 normally I have to walk in the cold and the dark to get home every night which probably doesn’t help. I haven’t been sick during a show in a hot minute tbh and I’m a little worried :(
