hiii alys!! do u have any fave otome games?? <33
OMG! Hi Gabs! Just so you know you are my first ask 😭🤧 I am sooo happy!!! Finally I got an ASK! Thank you for asking! Hope you are having a wonderful day/night/evening ahead! Yes~ I do have favorites
>First is
The Arcana!!! The art is just so bootiful I cannot!! plus, you get to date both men and women!! I only play male otome games but just to check it out, I checked out the female ones and boy have they done a Great job!! I 100℅ recommend my fav is Asra and Julian
> Second is
Mystic messenger! The plot was good and the texting was so much fun~ I really had a lot of fun it was one of my first Otome games I played which opened up this whole new world~ (got the reference hehehe)
My fav is 707 [the story gets so complex especially in his brothers route]
>Abnormal Status! [I recently started playing it]
It's SO GOOD! It has a villainess theme and characters of many routes and the personality is also quite a bit fresh compared to others, the thing is the routes are a bit complex, like just in 2 min I was dead, and you also have a system administrator who you can talk too and who will guide you, the characters are also quite bold you'll understand if you play it.
And they are all hot, choices lead to spicy scenes almost every episode! You need to find the true ML in 30 days if not you are dead!! Plus since you need to seduce them in 30 days the boldness of the MC is a nice experience~ [The characters give me yandere vibes istg]
But my fav is Dibi [his route is NOT open TvT, why give hot men if I cannot even play the route!? but I am not complaining- I get to see him and that's fine! <3] and Jaden!
[This might actually be my no 1 with how things are! will see where it goes then decide]
Others that I have played!!!
>Tears of Themis |>Obey Me >Love and Deep space [I just started lol] Zayne is hot, they are all hot...it's illegal to be SO HOT plus the scenes TvT thank god this game exists >Mr Queen
And many more I don't remember the names LOL these were the ones that came on top of my head immediately!!!
I hope it was not too long lol I went on a bit of a ramble! :D

My guide for my Asks
I took my time creating this. But Hi everyone! I’m Devi, and welcome! My asks are Open! So here are my general guidelines:
General overall rules
Please be clear about which fandom you're requesting for.
be specific... but not too convoluted. I know I will not do it justice if you give me a fully fleshed out prompt.
If you have a preference, please specify gender in your requests! I am afab, so if I am writing gender I will often default to female.
Please specify what POV you want the request in - 1st, 2nd, 3rd - if it's applicable to the request. Otherwise I will default to 2nd or 3rd depending on if it's x reader or not.
Be patient with me. I am a procrastinator so I probably have started it but I’m taking my time.
feel free to share your thirsts and thoughts with me. I would love to respond to your thoughts and I love hearing what other people think about these characters!!
Fandoms I feel kinda confident writing for:
Stardew Valley (comfort game)
Shera Princess of power
Hazbin hotel
Seduce me the Otome (1&2)
Miraculous ladybug
Cinderella phenomenon
Diabolik lovers (I'm a tad rusty here)
Avatar the last airbender and Legend of Korra (If do so all characters will be aged up)
More will definitely be added in the future
What I’ll write
Smut - most Kinks (except the ones in the no list)
Comfort/Fluff
Angst
Character x M!/F!/Nonbinary Reader
Character x Character [Rarely]
Platonic
Headcannons
Ploy stuff
What I will not write
Song fics (Cannot for the life of me wrap my head around this)
Racism
Ableism
Incest
scat/watersports
noncon
emetophilia
incest
pedophilia and/or (n)sfw between underage and adult characters
self-harm content (including cutting, eating disorders, alcoholism, etc) I’ll happily write about recovery but not someone actively suffering.
And that's it! Thank you for reading and respecting these rules.

Feral boys that’s all I ask. 🤤What would the boys be like when they go feral? 🧐
In the light of me thirst posting I shall serve!
Lucifer.
- ya demon is prideful, he will parade around you and tease you. Oh darling he'll make it obvious what he wants but won't say a word or ask you for it. No darling that's your job.
- He will turn you into a puddle with deep kisses, heavey petting and wandering eyes.
- You will be pinned against the wall with just enough space between you two, to close but not close enough at the same time.
- You'll be seduced with his words and teasing, you will break first and he'll be happy to help you darling.
" If you wanted me that bad my dear all you had to do was ask. Don't worry, I won't stop until your satisfied. Now be a dear and scream for me."
Mammon.
- A tsundere to heart much like Lucifer he won't ask but he's going to be more blushy about it. But he does have a breaking point.
- If your oblivious to flirting you're going to drive him mad. Mammon will make shy advances, touches that linger a bit longer than they should.
- But you keep brushing him off as a friend, a oh boy does that make him boil. He goes farrel by pinning you to your bed and kissing you. He's done holding back.
- When he allows you to breath he spills everything, his true feelings, what he wants, and what he plans to do. Only if you let him of course.
" Ya must really like getting the great Mammon going don't ya? Ya feel that? That's what ya do to me Y/n, ya make me like this. I want to ravish ya treasure, will you let me?
Levi.
- The only way your going to get Levi farrel is to make him jealous. And that's playing with fire, or would it be Lotan in this case? Anyway it could end badly.
- It was just and otome from the human world, that's all it was, just one of your many husbandos/wifu. And he was losing his shit.
- That character was flirty, assertive, confident, everyone he wasn't and he was dying because you said that ones your favorite. Demon form engage.
- His tail wraps around your waist and pulls you into his lap, his hands on your game glaring down at the character and he bites and licks your neck. His thick forked tongue making it's way past your lips and wraps around yours sucking and pulling you closer. Congrats! You unlocked Levi: Admiral ending!
" I want you. I want your attention, your love your heart, your everything. I don't want to share you. Open your mouth I want to kiss you again."
Satan.
- Ever the romantic, he will drop hints with his poetry and romance novels. He will be oh so innocent about it to. Asking you to read this part or what you think about this poem. All of them are about sex and passion.
- He will read the poem aloud and as it gets more and more passionate, he will look you in the eye his voice getting deeper and deeper and eyes getting darker.
- Keep squirming under his gaze kitten he's living for your reactions right now. He will look you in the eyes and ask what you thought of it. If you don't want to go first don't worry he'll tell you exactly what he think of it.
- Contrary to popular belief, he won't ask to recreate the scene, that's unoriginal. No, no, he'll have you scream your own poetry for him.
"Befor we get to the main event I want you to show me your favorite spots. Show me everything, leave no page unturned, no word unspoken. You will scream for me kitten and I want to make sure your ready for me."
Asmo.
- When is he not farrel? Oh hun, he is ready to pounce at any time really. And he's not hiding that fact at all.
- Its the fact he's so casual about it that draws you in, he tells you his darkest desires about you, his fantasies, his wants. Love he's by no means shy.
- His goal is to get you farrel, he'll kiss you sweetly and let his hands wander and grind against you. And he'll encourage you to do the same, hand guiding you as you grind against arousal against his hard on.
- He smells so sweet and sticky you could get high on his smell and never tire of it. His hands feel so good on your body, your clothes are off when you pull him in for a second kiss.
"Y/n~ just fall into me already, I've been edged long enough don't you think? Just say the word and you'll feel nothing but bliss. That's what I like to hear~ Now let's get these clothes out of the way~"
Beel.
- We've all seen Beel when he gets farrel for food, now let's put that same energy in his desire for you. When he needs you, he needs you now.
- He's blunt about what he wants and what he needs and their both you. He's a big boi and will corner you and pick you up wrapping your legs around his waist. You can feel his stomach growl.
- He's hungry for you but in the best way possible, he's trying to hold back cupcake he really is but, it's so hard when your used to indulging in what ever you want.
- He moves you legs to his shoulders, his hands ready to rip your bottoms off. His eyes are focused as they stair into yours, he's asking for permission. He needs you and he needs you now.
"Please, just a little bite - bit, just a little bit is all I want. I know it'll feel good, I can make it feel amazing if you'll let me have you. Y/n please? Hmmmm Thanks for the meal."
Belphie.
- Another jealous boi but he won't admit it, he'll stare you down until you understand what he wants to do to you. But of course you going to make him put more effort into it huh?
- It'll start out innocent, inviting you to take a nape with him in the attic. All nice and curled up together both of you nice and warm. To bad he wants you hot and bothered.
- He works with dreams, and he will give you the lewdest dream he can think of. It's kind of fun watching you moan lightly in your sleep. He won't do anything to you while you sleep, this is just to make his intentions known.
- Your breathing heavily when you wake up and see Belphie on top of you. A tired smile on his face as he looks down at you pulling at your clothes. He already knows where to touch, just let him help.
"You make such nice sounds when you sleep, could have sworn you called out for me to help. Dream are just desires we want but are afraid to ask for. So tell me Y/n, what was your dream about?

What are your favorite yanderes from games? And what are some games you would reccomend? I really like Lothar btw looking forward to more things from him.
ahhh yes!! my time to shine!!!! again!!!!
game recommendations:
psychedelica of the black butterfly & ashen hawk | i love these two games so much they’re so good, so angsty, and i love the flowchart mechanic they put in. black butterfly is the first game, and a bit weaker than ashen hawk, imo. ashen hawk has one of my favourite otome protagonists ever, and the ost is wonderful and very atmospheric.
mr. love queen’s choice | look, i get that it’s a mobage and that’s inherently predatory, but chinese companies are so generous. like you get a ton of free stuff every month, and i really like the story so far. the music is great, i love the character designs, and i really like how much there is to do. it might be daunting to start though.
nightshade | cannot recommend this enough if you love having your heart broken and then sort of fixed by the end. music is great, i love all the characters, and i’m forever pissed i can’t bang ieyasu smh.
ayakashi gohan | soft, fluffly, warm, slice-of-life game about family??? i literally cried my eyes out during the common route. the common route. it just hits home and the music is so gentle and soothing. i think i cried in every route tbh, and paternal! midorikawa is a kink i never knew i had and needed fulfilled until now.
taishouxalice | this is actually one of the funniest games i’ve played in a while. episode 1 is out in english, and episode 2 is getting translated, so yay! first episode has cinderella and red riding hood, and i love them both. you don’t get the entire plot, unfortunately, so i can’t speak to that.
the rose of segunda | honestly,,,,one of my favourite oelvn ever. the art is cute, and the story is great. i like the different variations of the mc, and can i just say how much i love leopold??? and the secret romance??? ugh, all my uwus.
nameless | an oldie but a goldie! it’s super long to play through, but so worth it. if you liked mystic messenger, this is sort of potentially a prequel to it, so you might like it. all the characters are great and memorable, and i recommend playing with a guide.
yandere recommendations
ephemeral fantasy on dark // natsume. oh my god i don’t know if it was because he spiralled out so quickly, or if it’s toshiyuki toyanaga absolutely nailing the emotions, but he’s one of the most devastating yanderes ever. the game is crap, but damn, they really captured the essence of a yandere so well, i can forgive his vore comment.
black wolves saga // mejojo von garibaldi. this....this trash man...god. i haven’t had a chance to finish playing bws since vnr broke on me, but from what i saw, i liked it (unfortunately). again, idk if he’s genuinely that good of a yandere, or if it’s just sakurai’s smooth af voice seducing me into liking him. anyway, s/o to mejojo for being a quarter-finalist in r/otomegames trashbundo contest.
heart no kuni no alice // ace!!! man, if there’s one thing i love more than a himbo, it’s a himbo who’s also a yandere. he’s so dumb, i hate that of course hirahin voices him, but he’s just *chef’s kiss* so possessive?
nameless // tei oh my gosh i love him??? he’s so sweet and so onii-chan that it makes everything he does during his route so so good. i love me a man who really needs some therapy :D (also s/o to the 3p ending i never knew i wanted until it happened)
starry sky in spring // suzuya for that sweet sweet onii-chan/childhood friend yandere. he’s like toma in amnesia, but better, y’know? tortures himself bc he loves mc but lets their other friend go for her instead, can cook, and is just so responsible? sometimes you just want that soft sol yan
byakko tai shishi ibunki // chitose, but idk if this game is still playable in english. not a jaw-droppingly amazing game, but when he said he’d kill everyone, mc, then himself to stop her marriage?? yeah, i felt that, and that single line has earned him a spot in my favourite yans.

Seduce Me the Otome: Sam
I found a guide that had a recommended route order and since I happened to have done the first two (James & Erik) correctly, I figured I might as well follow it so that I don’t miss any pairings/endings. Which is why, I did Sam’s route next.
Sam was one of the two (along with James) that got my attention on my first play-through. So I was really excited to play his route. It was while playing his route that I noticed for the first time that some symbol would show up in the bottom-right corner of the screen to indicate how your choices affected the story. It’s too late to be realizing this now, I know. But this will at least help me with future routes from now on.
Tumblr media
Sam’s design isn’t bad, but the bad boy look isn’t really what drew me to him. The voice acting for Sam is one of my favorites. His laughter, oh my gosh, it is golden. Like with Erik, I love the glimpses into his past, as well as his moments just bonding with Mika.
SPOILERS BELOW
When they delved into his reasons for coming to the human world, I loved that he had no particular goal other than to be with family. It is a relatable situation for me and maybe that helped me be more attached to his character.
The rooftop scene is a classic!! I always love rooftop scenes in movies/dramas/anime/manga/novels. There’s something about having a private space that isn’t so far away where you can see the world around you. And I’m a hopeless romantic, but I just find having conversations with someone in a place like that so intimate <3
Tiny note: There’s a bug at the point where Mika is deciding whether to let the boys stay after the Malix incident. Every one of the boys, except Damien, is drawn in the center so that they are overlapping each other.

games/routes i’ve played + my favourites
..to be updated
*send me recommendations if you’d like!
(if i give a game a bad rating, it’s just my opinion. you don’t have to agree with me)
MysticMessenger :
routes: Zen, Yoosung, 707, and Jumin Han
my favourite: definitely Jumin Han! he’s more of an unpopular choice, andI see why, but, I love him. his story was borderline obsessive at some points, and im not going to try and defend his weird behaviour, but there was a reason for it. he got everything he wanted as a kid expect for the love of another person, which is why he treasured Elisabeth the 3rd so much, because in a way, she was the only one there for him. but, then after he gets close to the mc, and then Elisabeth goes missing, he sees the mc as the same type of warmth. he definitely could’ve been more casual about his approaches, and less weird about everything, but I see where it’s coming from. the boy’s got some trauma. and, I mean, the mc is kind and stays with him, understands him, and he opens up to her and falls in love with her. I don’t think it’s entirely unrealistic for an otome game. his character development was great. but, enough of Jumin. this is a really well thought out game. the storyline is impeccable, and the characters are all diverse enough that it’s usually not that much trouble picking one guy/girl over the other. but, this game is really heavily dependent on the emotional labour aspects of the boys, which I don’t like. if you want someone’s route, you had to constantly be excited for them and constantly support them and no one else. a prime example being zen’s route, which is still a great route from experience, but there’s too much flattery in the initial stages, if you ask me. also, I don’t have the energy to get up at 3am for a chatroom, sorry Jaehee.
my rating: 7 or 8/10
The Arcana :
routes: asra, julian, and nadia (portia, lucio, and muriel are current)
my favourite: Asra! this magician and his snake familiar got my attention pretty fast, and his heartbreaking past with the mc just sealed the deal for me. his route is so romantic and touching, but has a lot of action. it was honestly perfect. the devs did a great job with the writing of the game, and the storyline is, again, impeccable. I honestly cried when I found out about Asra’s history with the apprentice, and lemme tell you that is a DIFFERENT type of pain.
my rating: 10/10
+Lost Island :
route: ryo tsuzuki
my favourite: none. ryo was definitely eye candy and a perfect guy, but he was the only route I played, and frankly, was the last. the only good things about this game were the action scenes, which were admittedly heart-wrenching since the game took place on a zombie infested island. But otherwise I hate this game with a burning passion, and will frankly be seeing it down in Dante’s inferno, in the depths of hell with every other shall we date game. It was my first otome game, I found it when I was 11 - just out of the womb lmao - and I was so entranced that I ended up spending sixty Fucking dollars on this game!!! I regret it deeply to this day, because the game was horrible. it moved so fast, it was pretty predictable (and I spent the sixty dollars to move it along even though when I look back at it the game exposed itself so many times??) it was so weird. after we cured the strange virus that his ‘missing’ sociopath scientist father created with an antidote hidden in Ryo’s blood and left the zombie infested island, he proposed to me in a bush! a bush! he popped the question in a bush, beat that level of romance ladies and gentlemen. and, I know now that I type it out it some points sound like a pretty good plot, but trust me, don’t let that fool you. I will argue with you about this until my death. and not to mention this bitch was a horny little shit in the middle of what the characters thought was the zombie apocalypse. all in all this game is the bane of my existence, thank you (I’m sorry this is so dramatic lmao)
my rating: -100000/10
Dangerous fellows :
routes: Zion, Harry, Eugene, Ethan, and Lawrence
my favourite: Zion! omg what a cutie, still highkey owns my heart. he’s your run of the mill rich kid that eventually rebelled, but his sense of humour and toughness is what won me over. His heartfelt promises and uncharacteristic seriousness in the face of danger were my favourite parts. he’s so adorable and owns all my uwus. I’d fight someone for this boy. this was the game the birthed this account a couple of months ago, and I still love it.
my rating: 10/10
Lost Alice :
route: Owen Chester
my favourite: I know this technically doesn’t really count, but I did like the joker! I never played his route, and he wasn’t involved in Owen’s route much, but what little I saw of him was great.  He was joking, vague, and helped Alice out a lot as a guide in the very beginning. if I had the courage to even download this godforsaken game again I’d definitely go for him! as for Owen’s route, I honestly didn’t like it at all. all of these games have a timeline, and the end point is always the main characters fucking. like?? not the thing where you randomly travel back and forwards in time? no, just both living in her world and ignoring it, because, me and bae are official now and that’s all that matters 🤪 plus, classically, he was like the formal king trying to seduce her for funsies and then accidentally falling for her.
my rating: 0/10
Modern Cinderella :
route: Rudolf Oak
my favourite: ..I didn’t really have one. I’m sorry this was a shall we date game, need I say more? the ’stoic’ restaurant owner that ’never opens up to people’ saw me stand up for myself literally once and suddenly his entire worldview of me has changed, and surprise surprise, he wants to date me. This was one of the worst ones I’ve ever played. I really had no favourite, except maybe for the guy that let me stay in his apartment in the beginning of the game and gave me food after he found me in the rain 🤧
my rating: 0/10
Ikemen Sengoku :
route: Hideyoshi, Yukimura, Nobunaga, Sasuke, Shingen, Masamune, Kenshin (mitsunari is current)
my favourite: yukimuraaa, yukimuraa, that bean. i can’t explain very well it but I love him :((. i really loved Mitsuhide, but I liked masamune too! I love masamune’s attitude atowards the mc, and his nickname and nonchalance around her (in sasuke’s route where he hesitated on killing him just because the mc yelled ‘stop!’ out of fear?? 🤧🤧), and I also love mitsuhide’s slightly threatening but caring personality, and that he’s deadly smart! you can’t hide anything from that man lol. Plus the mc describes him as a a good person even in hideyoshi’s route, which I respect. (ugh the devs knew he would be too powerful with a route) but, I didn’t like that after you finish a route, your intimacy is completely reset. like :(( it disheartens me in playing a little because it takes days to build up grace, and im not about to go scouring on those offer pages, because i’m not willing to put myself through that again after dangerous fellows. the formatting is a little wack too, but it’s still nice and something to look past, since the game is pretty great otherwise, and it’s a little older. I love almost all of the characters, (the ones I don’t are for personal reasons, not because they’re bad characters or anything) and I don’t think its cringey at all! it’s honestly a great game altogether.
my rating: 9/10
Ikemen Revolution:
routes: fenrir, edgar, ray, kyle, sirius, lancelot, luka, jonah, loki, and zero (all, idk if I forgot one lol)
my favourite: every time I see edgar my heart goes boom!! I started playing his route literally like a week ago and god, this boy deserves the world. I love his gentlemanly personality and his habit of joking around and giving vague statements or warnings when in reality, he’s very sweet and kind. you’ll never know what he’s thinking, and I love that I constantly have the chance to surprise him when no one else ever does. though, I really love my boy Kyle at the same time. he’s a real one 😤 I really like how the devs handled the Alice in wonderland concept! I’ve seen that go wrong a few times, so this was refreshing. again, with the ikemen games, they’re never really fast paced or cringey in the way some other games are. it takes the mc usually at least 13 chapters to even admit to themselves that they’re crushing on the guy, which I like. it’s more realistic then, say, the nightmare harlem (see other review). also the plot design, the character depth, uGh, as a writer, don’t even get me STARTED. it’s all amazing. and!! the intimacy doesn’t reset, so I can basically just blaze through all of the intimacy checks right away. The only thing I maybe don’t like about this game is about how long it takes to complete one route. it may take you a shorter amount of time to pay, but I always play free
my rating: 9 or 10/10
Mystic Code:
routes: cold case, lost case, happy ending: case closed, wrong suspect (2), true ending
my favourite: this technically isn’t an otome game. I admittedly didn’t really like this game as much as I liked dangerous fellows, but it was still really good! I just thought dangerous fellows’s story was a little better, and there’s obviously the added bonus of being able to romance any of the main characters. You couldn’t romance any of the characters in mystic code, and while the story made up for that a lot, I was still a little disappointed. Plus, romancing the characters could‘ve really made for a more complex storyline.. 👀 I won’t give any spoilers,, but the story really did make up for it for the most part. but, I guarantee you that if you could play routes, I’d choose eliot. he’s got that confident and playful but serious and smart personality I fall into every time, and I would’ve liked to get a chance to see more sides to that.
my rating: 8/10
Love and Producer (Mr Love: Queen’s Choice):
routes: —
my favourite: ohoho do I have a story about this one. i was going through pinterest one day a few weeks ago when I came across this picture. and idk, something about it had me starstruck, so I looked for what the image was from and found out that it was from a chinese otome game! at the time, I didn’t know that there was an english version out, so I was really disappointed when I found out I couldn’t play it. but!! through a dangerous fellows account I follow on instagram, I downloaded this game by chance and realised it was the same game under a different name. now, I was completely right to be starstruck, because I love Gavin, he’s amazing! He and the mc were classmates in high school, and they have this ~thing~ that happened in the past that’s vaguely talked about, which is a moment with the wind and ginkgo leaves (which is super nice and romantic af, since he has a wind evol) and I think there’s other parts, but I won’t give away any more spoilers that aren’t obvious and/or easily accessible. the only thing I maybe have wrong with this games that the cliffhangers it can leave you off on before it tells you to level up more are emotionally shattering, and the karma levels/movie shootings are a little annoying, but they’re easily fixable and easy to pass if you snoop around the game a little and figure out how it works. I also really like how though there are no technical routes, each “romance” with the other the guys is completely plausible and any could be endgame easily.
(+ damn, Gavin’s one main line ‘as long as you’re in the wind, I’ll find you.’ is really nice and romantic to me also, since there’s another line from a book I love that’s “I’ll be your map. Where you go, I go.” but idk maybe i’m just biased)
my rating: 9/10
The Princess Closet:
route: reo
my favourite: honestly, I hated this game, so I didn’t really have a favourite. It sounds dramatic, but it’s really true. I was snooping through the App Store one night around midnight looking for a new otome game, and I stumbled upon this one with pretty great reviews. So I, the otome hoe that I am, was like ‘okay fuck it’ and downloaded it. Basically, the game’s storyline is this guy comes up to you and is like ‘you’re my princess, I finally found you’ and the mc is like ‘wtf are you talking about’ but is flattered and sorta curious so she goes back to his studio where she agrees to become a model. like?? girl what?? he could’ve taken you into a back alley and killed you, but she didn’t care. then, in the first chapter, she does her first modelling job then the main guy (reo, also the fashion designer) comes up to her, basically pins her against the wall and is like ‘I knew you were perfect, but I didn’t imagine this. Now, since I always get what I want, I’ll have to make you mine because I’ve taken interest in you.” like,, okay bro. I deleted the app after that. if you like that kind of stuff, that’s fine, but it seems too outright and cringe to me. plus, this isn’t really relevant but I didn’t really like the formatting.
my rating: 0/10
Ikemen Vampire:
route: Napoleon, Arthur, Leonardo, Mozart, Vincent (double clear for both Arthur and Napoleon!)
my favourite: oh my god, this game finally came out with an English version and I’m so excited! I barely knew anything about this game before this morning, but it’s seriously good. I was sceptical in downloading it at first though, because vampire related things usually come out in a fashion similar to something like diabolik lovers, but this blew my expectations out of the water. the writing is amazing, and had me literally stopping between moments and being all nerdy about it. plus, all of the characters are based on real people of history, and I like that part. It’s a really cool idea. but the best part!! all of the characters are more or less like normal people. I’m not sure if that exactly makes sense, but it’s relief to me. I’m also really thrilled about some of the stories in the game. like, bonaparte is a half vampire?? nice, I wanna know more! you have to be da vinci’s fake lover?? coolio. but, I’m kinda bummed that there aren’t more routes out. Issac Newton, Napoleon Bonaparte, Arthur Conan Doyle, and Theodorus Van Gogh are definitely my favourites,(Theo is best boy 😤✊🏻) and I would’ve liked to play other routes too, but that’s totally good, because games are hard work.
my rating: 10/10
THE NIFLHEIM+:
route: Leo
my favourite: I gotta say, this wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. And that’s surprising, since this is a shall we date game. The storyline was pretty good, sorta like sleeping beauty with a twist, and while it was really cringey at some parts, it wasn’t too overbearing in my opinion. There’s a variety of characters to romance, and while they all have pretty stereotypical personalities in some way, it was still somewhat enjoyable to play. Though, I didn’t finish the game because I didn’t like the route I was playing, the way it was set up or the ticket system was kinda weird (one every 4 hours. you could log in once every month and it would say ‘welcome to your fourth day!’ even if it’s been four months in reality) if I did another route, though, it would probably be Nick, because his route seemed fun from the preview.
my rating: 3 or 4/10
Nightmare Harlem:
route: oswald
my favourite: honestly, my favourite was still Oswald. (though it’s a close second to Lucas, who never entered the room in any way other than the window) he was a sweet bean and didn’t deserve any of the shit any of the other suitors gave him. now that I think about it, the plot is creepily similar to ikemen vampire’s. the mc is walking home one night when a portal opens up under a red moon that takes her to a mansion full of vampires! but, maybe that’s just an overused plot. this is from the same company as princess closet, but I think it’s a little better. don’t get me wrong, though, it was still cringe to the max. the mc insisted on helping with work around the mansion exchange for letting her stay there until that portal opened again (hello ikemen??) and the main guy was like ‘pfft sure’ and that’s where she met oswald, the gardener.  but, the main thing that turned me off of this game was how fast the romance came. she spent a day outside with him, talking about whatever, then decided she liked the time she was with him and was disheartened when he had to leave. you know, totally not like any kind of normal friendly relationship at all. and after that she was like ‘oh shit what’s this feeling in my chest’ when she saw him at dinner. like, I get the quick crush thing but she’s all like “am I falling in love??/?” and to make it BETTER the next day he’s like ‘oh shit what’s this feeling in my chest’ after, again, spending a day with her and doing nothing more but exchanging smiles otherwise. and the other guys are in on it instantly too! one of them even tries to set them up! and I just- I couldn’t take it seriously after a while.
my rating: 3/10
Ayakashi: romance reborn:
route: Koga
my favourite: honestly, how to choose?? At first, I really liked Ginnojo and Toichiro, but after playing for a bit, Koga and his stupid dice swept me off my feet. I’m only at chapter 20 since I started playing a few days ago, but I can already tell that koga is very friendly and jokes around a lot, and the moment she ever has a problem he’s there to help her. he’s an oni ogre ayakashi, and I also think that’s super cool tbh. the game itself is sort of like mr love queen’s choice in the way that you get cards and have to level them up and that corresponds to how well you do in the game, but there are more romance aspects to this game than mlqc. after you finish book one (comprised of 50 chapters) it branches off into the 4 routes that are available to play. (Koga the oni ogre ayakashi, Kuya the tengu ayakashi, Ginnojo the Mizuchi dragon ayakashi, and Aoi the satori seer) I think it’s a really interesting and fun game, but I don’t like that the only way you can get keys to play the main chapters is through patrols, which can get repetitive, especially when you can only play the same 5 or so locations before the lp cost is more.
my rating: 9/10
Honey Magazine:
game/route: wanted: son in law // taiga takajo
my favourite: I should really change this label ^^. Honey magasine is an otome app that’s comprised of many stories that you can play at once. honestly, I didn’t have high hopes for this one based on the look of it, but I was pleasantly surprised. I am super super super super picky when it comes to otome games, but this one genuinely could’ve been worse. in the story I played, a journalist was invited to her billionaire grandfather’s estate to pick out a fiancé, but that was unbeknownst to her, seeing as this was the first time she’d talked to her grandfather since she was 5 years old. she went through the whole night meeting these different guys before she had to choose one the next day. I didn’t like this part because I probably got one interaction with each character max, and really didn’t get to go very deep into any of them. in the end, I chose Taiga, the heir to a fortune and the CEO of his own company at the ripe age of his early 20-somethings. honestly I only picked him because he kinda looks like Yuta from nct and since I didn’t really like any of the others, I had nothing to lose lol. He’s emotionless and very cold but subtly caring, and this drives the mc crazy as he claims that he’ll just parade around with her if he needs to and act in front of other people. she promises that she’ll make him fall in love with her, and well, the rest is history. I won’t get into his route much, but, I think it’s about what you would expect from a situation like this, not that it would ever happen. it’s not terrible, and I think that if someone had paid a little more attention to it it could’ve been great, not just okay.
my rating: 4/10
Twilight School:
route: Wade
my favourite: this game was actually recommended to me by a follower, and honestly, I do really like it. but, it’s a good thing that I liked Wade, because I’m not the biggest fan of either Rylan or Hogan. I’ve never liked the idea of werewolves, and Rylan is just the epitome of twilight meets vampire diaries to me. (even though neither of them really have to do with werewolves lol) and, hogan, idk. he’s got a nice personality, but I’m not really interested in him beyond that. Wade reminds me of Eugene, to be honest. that’s not why I like him, but I just thought I should get the observation out there. what I don’t like about this game is the gem system. yes, I wanted to kiss wade’s hand when he was sitting next to me after I woke up from being sick, but could I?? no. and I’m still disappointed about it, thank you very much. I also don’t really like the scene where they all fight over her in front of her. like, uh, can I get a waffle?? can I PLEASE get a waffle? but overall yes! it’s a very good game and I love the storyline and mystery.
Samurai Love Ballad Party:
route: yukimura sanada
my favourite: (i keep mixing up the name smh) is every yukimura character an absolute sweetheart?? because it sure seems like it. I found out about this game though a discord server I’m in, and honestly, from the looks of it, my expectations were low. Format is a big part of an otome game, and this one is obviously old, and that kind of dimmed my likeness a bit. But, the story is really fun. Kinda cringey, but still fun. I had no idea it was also in the sengoku era, so that was a fun surprise. I played the prologue laughing and joking around the entire time, and it was honestly really fun. i knew I liked yukimura from the moment he appeared, and chose his route immediately when I could. One thing though, this doesn’t bother me, I just think it’s kinda funny, is that the choices you make actually determine a good or bad ending rather than the romantic or dramatic I’m used to. So, seeing that ‘you could’ve chosen better...’ message after a chapter is always refreshing lol. (I get those a lot because I literally have 2 brain cells 🗿)
overall rating: 6/10
Obey me!:
route: —
favourites: THIS IS A SHALL WE DATE GAME?? it blows my mind, because I absolutely love this game but normally hate swd games (see lost island for reference lmao) the format is cute and modern and easy to navigate, but isn’t in your face bright and not too bland either. there’s a lot of options to go for, like the random calls and messages you get throughout the day plus the person you want to choose from majolish and display on the home screen has little things to say to you ever 15 seconds or so. the ap/stamina system is similar to ayakashi, so it was refreshing to already know how to deal with that, and I do like how while it goes fast, it doesn’t take much to regen. The actual story function is similar to that of mlqc, though, with the mission and then story part. There are no actual routes in the game as of right now, but the game is still being updated, so there might be in the future when the storyline is complete! I really hope there is, because I totally wanna do some of their routes like 😳 My favourite at first was Mammon, because from the get-go he’s the energetic dumbass that’s always by your side like fenrir and I just appreciated that, especially when I didn’t know any of the other characters yet. but then I actually got into the game more and while I still do like mammon, it’s a bit less and I do have some new favourites now. first off is Lucifer, who I really was neutral with most of the time (which shouldn’t have been the case considering he threatened/tried to kill the mc at least twice lmao) but yeah, sometime along the way I went from 😶😶😶 to 🥰🥰🥰 and that was that. Second is probably either Satan or Belphegor because they’re just both adorable and I like belphegor’s voice and sense of humour and satan’s love for books and considerate personality
favourite: Lucifer
CURRENTLY PLAYING: mr love queen’s choice, ikemen sengoku (mitsunari), obey me!

Love 365: Find Your Story Voltage Otome Data Base Transfer Guide
For some reason this wasn’t as intuitive to do as I thought it’d be and I’m sure there’s a lot of people that have questions about the app.  First, Voltage Inc. has stated that they will be slowly adding all of their games including the retired ones to this data base.  They have also confirmed that the original apps (being dubbed stand alone apps) will still be there and accessible, but they will no longer get updates to the story or the code and may not function on newer devices (so glad I keep my old technology).  Voltage has also stated that all of your old app data can be transferred to the new Love 365 app. I’m not 100% sure how they plan to work this with the retired apps, but as long as you didn’t delete it from your Google Play or Apple App Store download history, you should be able to get the games again and use the same path I’ll demonstrate here.  Once these apps are available (and if the path works for them), I’ll post a guide on how to access your games in both systems that are no longer available. :D
You can download Love 365 for both Android and iOS.  The app only has a few stories that you can transfer or just start playing, but more are to be added.  Also, it’s been awhile since I’ve played Voltage games, but I can see you get some kind of coin system which looks like it lets you buy stories.  It also looks like you can earn free coins so maybe I’ll pick up some of the stuff from their new games.  Maybe.
Now if any of you are like me and have been playing Voltage games since Android came out (i.e. back when Voltage Otome games were actually good….), you probably haven’t kept the apps on every device you’ve owned (I’ve had at least 7 phones to try transferring app data from and to…). The first thing you’ll want to do is download any of the games currently added to Love 365, play through the obnoxious prologue, then click on everything you’ve ever bought in the app.  You don’t need to play through everything and I’m not 100% you even need to do this, but hey it’s money I spent on stuff so I’m not chancing my stuff not getting registered properly.  Here is a list of the games currently in Love 365, so you’ll want to make sure you have on your phone and have all of your purchases on:
Rose in the Embers
Era of Samurai Code of Love
Love Letter From Thief X
When Destiny Comes Knocking
After School Affairs
Seduced In The Sleepless City
Kissed By The Baddest Bidder
Enchanted In The Moon Light
Once you are ready to transfer your information, open the news section on the original app (or stand alone app), and click on the Love 365 banner thing.
Tumblr media
The next screen tells you the details of how the Transfer ID works and then just click on that really light not blue not green Issue the Token ID button.
Tumblr media
Now that you have your Token ID (sorry guys no freebie codes :P), tap on it to copy it.
Tumblr media
Next, go open the Love 365 game (or download it and then open it).  On the splash screen you have two options for transferring data.  You want the first one that reads Transfer From Old Apps.  I’m going to assume the other one is so you can transfer your Love 365 data to a new device if necessary (I haven’t clicked on the button yet so I could be wrong).
Tumblr media
You’ll get a screen with a blank box for your code.  Just click and hold on the box to paste the code you copied earlier (you could screenshot or write down your code and manually enter it, but the code is very long and copying it helps eliminate human error).
Tumblr media
Click Transfer Data and review the items that it’s transferring over.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If the items look correct (I know, I know how mean of me not to let you see my transfer code and get all of those stories :P), then click the transfer button again.
Tumblr media
Hooray! You have completed your transfer and earned yourself 100 coins. Just click on the ‘X’ in the corner to close this screen and then tap to enter the app.  You can get your coins plus the 100 coins given out for the launch of the app in the gift box option in the menu.  Just click the three lines.
Tumblr media
This is pretty easy, but I hope this helps other players make sure they get their stuff.  I like that everything is in one app because like I said I’ve been playing these games a long time and there’s a lot of them.  They take up a lot of space and that is soooooooooo many apps to redownload all the time.  I haven’t kept up with their newer games, but I do look forward to raking in the coins from the older apps. lol If you have any questions about this guide or other Voltage games, please feel free to check out my Voltage Game list or just send me an ask and I’ll answer as best I can! :D

Title: Nil Admirari no Tenbin Teito Genwaku Kitan Company: Otomate Release Date: April 21, 2016 Platform: PS Vita Walkthrough
The Gist
After seeing her brother burn himself because of a book, Tsugumi starts seeing ‘aura’ or the glow of a cursed book. She, then, joins a group of people called Fukurou who search for these books hoping to avoid any more victims like her brother.
The Gameplay
Like with most recent games, you can change the name of the main character or leave it as it is.
Once you’ve finished the common route, you’ll choose whose route you’re going to play. At first, I was bummed out. I prefer getting to a route depending on the choices I made as I play.
As you go through the route, some choices lead to happy or bad ends. You can check if you are heading to your chosen end once the libra appears. The left is the good end and the one on the right is for the bad end.
Within the route, you can check your progress on the story. You can also choose which chapter you would like to see. Other things to check out here are if the chapter will give you a CG event or choices, or which end you are going to end up with. It is a nifty system to have, I must say.
The Story
The whole thing about searching for cursed books is pretty intriguing. It poses an interesting question – is it the fault of the author for writing such suicide-inducing books or not? In Nil Admirari’s clunky way of storytelling, it shows that it depends on the intent of the writer. Some write because they are cornered, some have no idea that they have a capacity to produce something like that, and some are plain twisted in their own way.
But the game fails to deliver that.
That’s the thing, the story has lots of inconsistencies.
I thought it would be like in Collar x Malice where it made me think what is really right and wrong. What happens is that one route this character would be the bad guy, in the next route he’ll be the victim and so on. At the end of the game, it made me wonder who is the bad guy.
Clunky way of storytelling
I mean the pacing. The shift from the main plot to the character’s own issues is forgivable since I love the characters. Still, there are scenes where I scratch my head in confusion. Smut coming out of the blue, revelations from the left field – you get the idea.
One of the biggest offenders is Shizuru’s route. I thought the problems are solved and I’m off to the epilogue when the game dropped a twist. I loved twists. But what I didn’t like about this twist is how it disrupts the entire flow of the game.
Misogyny
When I started this game, I wanted to root for Tsugumi and her dreams of living life on her own terms by joining Fukurou. I thought things are looking good because another female character named Shiori leads the team. Then her best friend also got a job as a reporter. The game pretty much establishes a time period where people start accepting women in the workforce.
Uh, no.
Then these people start saying “No you can’t do this or that because you are a girl.” This includes her workmates.
Seriously? (╬ Ò ‸ Ó)
This is sad. 😦
I get it if people outside Fukurou will say that. But for Tsugumi’s workmates, it’s just absurd. For one, their leader and the person everyone respects is a woman. Shiori holds a gun. So why can’t Tsugumi go train herself as well? Why do the other characters insult Tsugumi for being a woman when they don’t say anything like that to Shiori? It’s just frustrating to see her being treated like that when Tsugumi works so hard.
The story could have been good. But at least, the characters make this game not too bad. For the order, I recommend the one I did – Shizuru -> Hisui -> Shougo -> Akira -> Rui -> Hayato -> Secret Character.
Characters
Kuze Tsugumi
With her kind of upbringing, Tsugumi surprised me in ways I didn’t expect.
She is Miss-Goody-Two-Shoes and an innocent girl in the ways of the real world. But she decides to work. Not for her family or anybody else but for herself. Well, part of her decision is probably to get out of her family. Still, it doesn’t change the fact that she wants to do things her way. And that’s praise-worthy.
I expected Tsugumi to be a sensitive damsel-in-distress. But she proved me wrong. She likes doing menial things, like household chores. She strives to do better at her work. Heck, she even wanted to be a decent fighter to be able to stand alongside her workmates. Too bad, she is born in an era where people are extremely judgmental of women.
As much as I want Tsugumi to be on my list of favorite heroines, she falls short on the list. For one, I got used almost immediately with her reactions. It’s easy to guess how she would react because theres a pattern. One character says something that surprises her and her initial reaction is “!!” or “??” or “…?”. What the heck is that థ౪థ. Is the writer lazy to give her a proper reaction? I’m pretty sure normal people have something they blurt out when surprised.
Another thing is that Tsugumi rarely holds an opinion of her own. More often than not, she describes things as they happen, not how she views things. I guess giving the heroine a “general” personality makes it easier to “insert” yourself in her shoes? But I don’t play visual novels to be “in” character. I play so that I can immerse myself in the story and its characters. Too bad the writer didn’t achieve that here. As I’ve mentioned here, there’s got to be more from her than her surface-level reactions.
Tsugumi’s ready anytime, anywhere ◦°˚\(*❛‿❛)/˚°◦
So early on, we know that Tsugumi is prim and proper. Like how she is scandalized watching a movie with a guy, blushes when he holds her hands or hesitates just going on a date since it is her first time. The surprising thing is, she never hesitates during sex. That never fails to give me a good laugh. She doesn’t even ask the most cliche first-timer questions. She just goes all the way on her first time, no apprehensions at all.
I’ve mentioned in this post how the couple does it anywhere – even in the apartment’s public spaces. I’m legit scared that someone might catch them doing it. Tsugumi, though, with all her good girl upbringing, has never questioned it at all. In one route, she worries what her teacher would say if she’s caught watching a movie with a guy. I wonder what would her teacher say if she knew her student does it anywhere.
Migiwa Shizuru
Migiwa Shizuru is the novelist of erotic and tragic love stories. He lives in the shared house with the Fukurou members. Tsugumi met him when he tried to sell her a goldfish while also trying to hit on her.
I wanted to like this route because the smut is A+. It reminds me of the smutty manga I’ve read on my teens. But I didn’t feel the romance between them. I couldn’t even tell when Shizuru falls in love with Tsugumi. He likes her, yes. He likes her body, for he tries to seduce her a lot of times.
My neutral mood for this route starts when Shizuru treats Tsugumi like a whore who beds anyone who has a dong after seeing her walking in the park with another guy. When does walking become synonymous with banging? I was insulted for Tsugumi. She gives her best even her sleep just to help Shizuru and that’s what she gets? Seriously? Thank goodness I used a guide or else the choices that I want to choose will definitely land me a bad end www. All I wanted was for Tsugumi to slap him and never talk to him until he realizes his mistake. She did slap him. But she also wanted to apologizes afterward. Girl you don’t. You just don’t.
After that, I can’t unsee how Shizuru appeals to the good girl nature of Tsugumi to make her submit. Like that one time when he makes her a “proper” adult. Tsugumi spends the entire route doing everything to become mature for Shizuru. When it’s banging time, he asks her a choice which would make sex consensual. But did she really want it? Or she just wanted to prove herself as an adult?
Hoshikawa Hisui
Hoshikawa Hisui is the youngest member of Fukurou. Like Tsugumi, he also has the power to see the cursed books. He looks like a doll, on top of his pretty looks.
Hisui surprised me in his route. He looks so open in the common route. But he’s rather rigid on some things – which totally makes sense once you get to the bottom of things.
What’s surprised me even more though is this:
[This is my first time but I know everything about it] {rough translation}
[I’m pretty sure I’ll be good at it]
Mind you, Hisui makes it a point how he hates women and not interested in those things. But he knew those things??
Also, I feel like the main moment for climax got turned down to throw in smexy times. I’m disappointed when Tsugumi chooses to ~fiercely~ kiss Hisui in the middle of his monologue. It felt like a great moment to reassure Hisui and build his self-confidence. Instead, she dived right in for sex. What’s with them acting like sexually deprived teens turning into humping in the middle of a serious discussion?
Ukai Shougo
The son of the prime minister who tried to kill himself the same day Hitaki did.
I’m no good with tsundere characters and Shougo is a massive one. He is constantly irritated towards Tsugumi. I get offended for Tsugumi because he keeps on pushing the blame on her when it wasn’t her fault. And it pains me to see her not stand up for herself (the way she does for Shizuru in Shizuru’s route). He just keeps on getting angry on various things. And tells that it is Tsugumi’s fault when it isn’t.
It was difficult to like Shougo. Though once he got over his tsun side, he is pretty cute. It’s fun to tease him and see him blush even while saying a simple “I’ll be going.”
Kogami Akira
Kogami Akira appears cold and distant. He has a couple of mysteries around him like how he doesn’t like people seeing him naked in the bath.
I was spoiled about the major landmine in this route that I’m dreading to do Akira’s side of the story. Even after finishing the route, I’ve tried so hard to think of even one good thing that I found here. But all I could think of is how this is a big disappointment to me. Akira’s route makes all the previous route I played far greater than his.
First off, this route has a clunky pacing and Akira’s route is another offender. One moment, it is building the romance. A few minutes after it is dropping a twist. It is confusing as it breaks the momentum one scene establishes. So even if I know, that he should already be falling for her, the romance is just not there.
Akira has his moments. He can be cute if he wanted to. But then these moments are rare and all over the place. And no, it’s not even in the smutty scenes. He has the worst scene out of the first four.
Shiginuma Takashi is a lot worse on this route too. In the previous routes, he appears as a good host with ulterior motives. But here, Tsugumi gets to know him up close and personal.
Sagisawa Rui
Sagisawa Rui is a medical student who accidentally bumps into Tsugumi every single time.
I know I’ve been waiting for this route. But seeing Hayato watching Tsugumi being taken by Rui is painful. I’m tired of seeing him watching on the sidelines.
What I did, once I get to the point where I’m halfway through Rui’s route, I skipped until the end to unlock Hayato’s route. I swore I’ll come back once I’ve finished Hayato’s. But then this news happened… and I’ll explain later. 8D
Ozaki Hayato
Ozaki Hayato is the first one to invite Tsugumi to join Fukurou after her brother’s incident. Hayato has an obvious crush to Tsugumi that is evident in every route. It’s just so cute!
But choosing guys other than him makes me feel bad for Hayato. It’s been too long. But I loved it. Though the pacing is as clunky as ever and the romance just happened, I still loved it for Hayato x Tsugumi. I even loved the revelation in the end. And I’m looking forward to playing his route in the fan disk.
Secret Character
I never thought I’d guess it right www.
Once you get to Hayato’s story, it is pretty easy to guess who the secret character is. Easy because once you’re there, he is the one who keeps on appearing even when he isn’t on other routes. But I didn’t do his route and wants to save this once I get to the port.
Speaking of port…
Nil Admirari no Tenbin on Switch
That’s right. Otomate is moving to Switch now and one of the titles that they are going to port is Nil Admirari no Tenbin. It will be titled Nil Admirari no Tenbin Irodori Nadeshiko. This port will contain the first game and its fandisk.
For the past weeks, I’ve been debating whether I’d get this or PS4 for my RPG needs. Or if I might need to buy another Vita (I fear that the one I have will die any moment lol). So the move is a welcome change for me.
So what now?
I intended on going back to Rui’s route to actually finish the story. Then do the secret character’s route and then the bad ends. But ever since I heard of the port, my motivation died down www. Eventually, I’ll replay the game so I want to save those ends I didn’t finish on the Switch version. Besides, the port will have the fandisk. So I might as well wait for that.
The important thing is I finished Hayato’s route.
Yes, this is vital www. I’m so shipping this pairing that just finishing Hayato’s route makes my entire playthrough worthwhile.

Otome Mania
This is no longer a secret, I have played, do play and will play a fair number of otome games. I’m weak to cliched romantic plotlines, okay?
Tumblr media
Since I did promise @lethesomething a list, here it is. The summary is...I’ve played a lot of games.
Games organized by console, arranged from meh to great.
PS Vita
I pretty much got a Vita so I could play otomes. Don’t judge me too harshly. And while a lot of these are incomplete (i.e. I haven’t played through every route), I feel like I can give an opinion.
Norn 9: Var Commons - Admittedly I haven’t gotten far into this, but lord is the plot confusing. Like, what is happening? What is happening? So many pretty people, though...
Sweet Fuse - Cute, fun, though not high on replay value. The characters are really weird, but don’t let that stop you. They have charm, and the parody elements are worth it. Plus blowing your top has never been so satisfying.
Collar x Malice - I almost finished one route and I’m really enjoying it. The heroine has so much personality and she chews out the dude whose route I was doing, and the mystery is so intriguing, if a tad weirdly investigated...
Code Realize: Guardian of Rebirth - By far the best otome game I’ve played on anything. A beautifully built world, excellent artwork, a heroine with backbone, massively diverging plotlines, and just about every love interest is actually interesting. I’d encourage everyone to play this when it comes out on PC. The Suwabe character is just the icing on the cake for once.
PS3
Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom - Hugely overrated, I think, though not many games can match the artwork. Incredibly long, painful storylines that made me yawn. Heroine has zero presence. I do love Saito though.
Mobile
Mystic Messenger - Is entertaining, but every love interest needs immediate help from a psychologist. The format works to the game’s advantage, and the voice acting is good, I spent a ton of money on it. But the romance doesn’t always feel like a romance.
Liar: Uncover the Truth - This is a surprisingly fun game, but I didn’t have the patience to wait for tickets, or spend money on the black hole. Sad but true.
PC
Games you should definitely never play:
Amnesia: Memories - out and out horror, that one. I don’t know why player character has a sprite, because her personality is non-existent.
Ozmafia - Theoretically very interesting, but in practice, suffers from a spineless heroine. I have a knack for finding the yandere route the second time I play any game, and...let’s say if you play the doctor’s route you’re in for some surprises. Yeah.
Men of Yoshiwara: Sigh. Terrible translation, first off, backed up by terrible writing. Just don’t.
Games that are okay to pass the time:
Seduce Me and Seduce Me 2: Demon War - It’s not like this one is bad, just not amazing. It’s decently voice acted, and the first one is a cute rom-com. The second game gets a lot more complex and weird, and it’s super easy to die. The first game is free.
The Lady’s Choice - A Regency romance otome game with only two choices, but it’s nice how much you can shape the MC’s personality. Free on itch.io.
Dandelion and Nameless - Both of these are Korean-origin, produced by the same company that did Mystic Messenger, and while they do have strong writing plus original concepts, somehow the games never keep my attention for long. Nameless is a bit dark in tone, if that appeals to you. Dandelion is a stat-raising sim, which I hate with a passion.
Loren the Amazon Princess - I think this was one of the first ones I played, and it was pretty ahead in the range of LGBTQ characters, but now that I think back on it, the RPG/romance combination was a tad strange. But I do recommend it.
Days of the Divine - Another of those free itch.io ones, I can barely remember this. It was passable.
How to Take Off Your Mask - Cute, but I can’t remember what the point was.
Games that are super cute and definitely need to be played at least once:
Cute Demon Crashers - It’s a pretty short game, but utterly wonderful in its simplicity and earnestness. An R-18 novel that is very high on sex positivity, I’d recommend this one a lot. Free on itch.io.
The Blind Griffin - An odd but good work set in the age of flapper dresses and speakeasies, following a Chinese heroine who accidentally stumbles upon a secret magician’s guild and trains as an apprentice. Great art, comes with a slang dictionary, and makes up for its abruptness with cuteness. Free on itch.io.
Heartbaked - Lots of aggressive pastry references in this one, and one guy who is? a sheep? Or something? I dunno, it’s adorable. Free on itch.io.
Hustle Cat - A cat cafe, only the staff are the cats. Light hearted fun, though it is easy to mess the game up and get a bad ending.
Autumn’s Journey - So cute. So much fluff. Dragon boys. A girl knight. Enough said. Free on itch.io.
Magical Otoge Ciel - If you want to simultaneously have your soul uplifted and go “WTF is this meta”, play this. It’s so irreverent and sweet, and the art grows on you. @batensan‘s Magical Otoge Anholly is a good read as well, though it is technically a linear novel. Free on itch.io.
Taarradhin - A beautiful fantasy short, but incredibly hard to figure out. The high probability of getting it wrong kind of put me off. Free on itch.io.
Lads in Distress - Exactly what it says on the tin. Overly competent princess with pink hair takes matters into her own hands and saves the princes. I only wish we also had the option to date the childhood fried cum fairy advisor.  Free on itch.io.
Re: Alistair - This one is really good, and honestly would have been included in the best games list if it had more LIs. There’s a cute mystery to sort of solve, and I don’t even mind the stat-raising elements. Free on itch.io.
Ristorante Amore - Gorgeous art, and a major plot twist once the story really gets started. I can’t give away anything for fear of ruining it, so just go play it.  Free on itch.io.
Yo-Jin-Bo - One of my guilty pleasures, honestly. Yes the MC is a wimp, but the absolute comedy that passes for dialogue is worth it.
Games that sink their claws in and don’t let go:
Cinders - I cannot recommend this enough. Sublime story-telling, the option to be Machiavellian, naively sweet or something in between. The LI’s are good, of course (guess who’s my favourite), but the real star of the show is female relationships - Cinders and her stepsisters, the daughters and the mother, the godmother in disguise. There’s so many possible outcomes as well. I wish the original fairytale were half as interesting.
Cinderella Phenomenon - A free game I backed on Kickstarter, and it’s looking pretty good. The heroine is unapologetically bitchy, but goes through some satisfying character development in the routse I played. Intrigue abounds, and even though I wish there was a little less blushing to go around, it’s pretty good overall.
Demonheart - I am a little torn about this, because it’s an ongoing game on Steam (released in chapters). On the one hand, I feel like romance things happened really abruptly in the last chapter. On the other, the concept is executed very well and there are so many choices. Plus, excellent worldbuilding.
Nachtigal - A really good shorter game about a spunky heroine trapped with two vampires. There’s a whole variety of ways to die in this one, so it’s extra satisfying when you do land the guy.
The Royal Trap - Say what you will about it, but as one of the first VNs I read, I still quite like this one. So many romance options, and so much intrigue. Each route reveals something different about the overall plot. Good stuff.
The Second Reproduction - Starts off typical, but then it goes down some truly unexpected routes. Strong heroine, attractive demon king. Be sure to play it with a guide to get the whole story.
There are plenty I haven’t played at all, or not enough to comment, but this is the list I’d give out to anyone who wanted some recs.

How does the seduce me game work?, do you have to pay to play Diana?
The first game Seduce Me The Otome has 9 different routes, 6 male, 3 female. 5 incubi, 1 succubus, 3 humans to romance. You can’t choose at the beginning which route you want, it happens through your choices and affection with the incubi (similar to how it’s cgosen who you’ll date in The Freshman) It’s a lil tricky to get on one of the routes that isn’t one of the demon boys, so I suggest everyone who wants to play it should look up a guide real quick or just ask me.
So no, you don’t have to play Diana’s route, but she does have her own arc and you’ll only get to her route if you pick certain choices at the beginning of it. You can go for any of the LIs (I’ve only played 4)
In the sequel Seduce Me 2 The Demon War you can choose right from the beginning which route you want to play and you’ll start from there (like in Lovestruck) Since the sequel plays in the demon world the 3 human LIs were dropped and now Diana is the only romanceable female.
The games are available on Steam and the Google Play Store for mobile, I don’t know abt the App Store lol😂😂
