Right: my "drawn from memory" attempt. A little bit different as I couldn't be bothered to draw her hair so I gave her a side shave. I think she looks like a badass 😅

Basically drawn in my own image, the hair, as in 2020 I had a full head if hair and now in 2023 I have a questionable mullet/hawk.

Take a character design of my younger persona/self for a future animation I'm hoping to start possibly next summer. I'm using an English cover of powapowap’s Strobe Light sung by ZoulStar on YouTube, but first I must ask them if I could use and credit the song. Strobe Light resonated with me when I was younger, as well as now, and have thought about making an animation for this song for years.

The theme of the animatic is coping and fears that comes with growing up and not wanting to abandon childhood when it seems like the older generation is; however, learning that you don’t have to give up the child inside as you get older.

For context of my young persona, my artist name was originally “Doodles”, and I called myself that because someone on miiverse was named Scribbes and they called their followers scribbers, and I wanted a cool name and fanbase name so Doodles it was. Doodles’s design would take elements of my favorite fandoms that I liked as a kid and preteen. As well take elements from my early persona designs and parts of my younger self. I like the detail that over time I started to accept my hair texture as it is and not hate it, and I wanted to put that in Doodles’s design.

Kuchiki (くちき)and Kimitsuki (君月) are the same character. She just changed from a soul reaper oc from Bleach into a yakuza edge lord over the years if you’re curious on who the characters are with the Japanese and year.

Extra note and I just realized this after I posted. No, Kimitsuki isn’t wearing the blood of Doodles if anyone was thinking.

Yes, I used to be a miiverse user and I have no shame.

My new OC/persona Myriad, their cat Kaleidoscope, and a group picture with them and my bestie/malewife’s OC/sona Moon and her cat Scribbs.

I quite like him, he’s vaguely human-shaped but very adaptable. And yes, she changes color to match her surroundings chameleon-style, mostly because it means less effort and more fun for me. And yes, they use all the different pronouns because I’m gender-fluid, and I’ve even been thinking about neopronouns lately, so… xi gets to try them out for me.

And yes, the cats are definitely not regular cats, they’re definitely from space and they’re some weird powerful species or something idk. Scribbs is a delight and has planets around her head, and Kali is full of disdain for all life and has purple stripes.

Also, the way people use colors so one-dimensionally is very sad. Yellow happy, blue sad, red mad… it’s ridiculous. So I’ve outlined Myriad’s system. It’s more tone and intensity than good-bad. Thank my interpersonal communication teacher for encouraging us to stop associating emotions with being positive or negative.
