Okay, apparently some drivers have commented on the Horner situation in the press conference... I haven't watched it yet, but I've read what they said and saw the disappointed reaction from fans online and I just feel beaten.
Cause no matter how hard we women fight for a place in this world and in this motorsport community, men will always be men.
Even the men that we look up to and want to watch every week, they are no different.
Susie almost lost her job over 1 rumour, but Horner will walk away unharmed (and even pitied by certain people) from evidence-based accusations. That just shows not only how F1 apparently works these days, but it's a painful mirror of our society.
These drivers that are "just here to do their job", yeah, so was she. How do you expect her to continue doing her job now? With all these reactions online and not a single drop of empathy?
These "noise and distractions" are what ruined a woman's life. And that was ruined by someone who walks in the same paddock as all the drivers' girlfriends, wives, daughters, nieces, sisters, and this week, even the entire F1 Academy paddock. They are women that are making a place for themselves in this sport, an example for all young girls, and this is how the drivers treat them.
They don't care because he was "always great to them" and that's just men being men unfortunately.
I'm sorry for this outburst, I just scrolled on Twitter when I woke up and felt so disappointed. I know it's not all drivers because we'll always have Lewis on our side. But that's not a suprise because Lewis is the only driver that truly cares about equality and diversity in the sport, and I admire him so much for that. Lewis is an ally, a brother, and a friend in a world full of men.

Sauber Academy present very promising line-up of drivers for 2023
Sauber Academy have outlined their driver roster for the 2023 motorsport season, with 2022 F2 runner-up Theo Pourchaire being joined by several new names. Pourchaire signed for Sauber’s scheme back in 2020 and will act as reserve driver for the Alfa Romeo team in 2023, alongside his third campaign in F2 with ART Grand Prix – title glory the 19-year-old Frenchman’s target. NEXT GEN: 20 of the most exciting up-and-coming talents on the road to F1 in 2023 One of three drivers joining Pourchaire is Swiss racer Lena Buhler (25) who, fresh from contesting the Formula 4 UAE Championship, will debut in the newly-launched F1 Academy series, which aims to develop and prepare young female drivers. Also arriving are 17-year-old Franco-Finn Marcus Amand, who will move from Italian and German F4 to the Formula Regional European Championship in 2023, and young kart racer Taym Saleh. Sauber Academy was launched in 2020 as “a full development pathway” for young drivers – spanning mental and physical training, technical work with the team’s engineers, media training and work on the simulator. “Discovering and nurturing young talent has always been at the centre of Sauber Motorsport’s philosophy, with the ultimate aim of raising the champions of tomorrow. Sauber Academy’s 2023 roster is very promising, and I am looking forward to working with each of the drivers,” said Beat Zehnder, Sporting Director of Sauber Motorsport, who oversees the programme. READ MORE: Alpine Academy announce biggest ever line-up for 2023 “Theo’s growth and development ever since he joined have been a source of great pride for us, including his promotion to being one of our Formula 1 team’s official reserve drivers. “We are also delighted to welcome Lena, Marcus, and Taym to the Academy. We will be by their side in the next steps of their careers, providing them with the tools, the education and the resources needed to succeed in the world of motorsport: we cannot wait to get started and unlock their potential further together.” via Formula 1 News https://www.formula1.com

EEEEEHH, I'm finally doing it!!! I'm gonna be posting more content online and making a new account specifically for F1!!
I have always wanted to become a journalist and since becoming an F1 fan, I have been thinking about sport journalism. So now I'm gonna combine the both and start making online content about F1. Hopefully later also about more branches in motorsport because there are so many :)) I'm gonna start with F1 and F1A because I'm mostly following them and then I'm thinking about looking into the feeder series, rallying and motogp
I'm very excited about it and wanted to share it here to! If I have enough time next to my studies, I also wanna write more here about the races, so yeah, exciting :))

ferrari posting charles born in monaco raised in maranello and audi commenting on carlos insta post? like is it finally happening 🤯
psa really loove how silly and goofy charles is being nowadays. he is looking so much like sauber charles as well, idk he just seems happier and fresher which i hope he carries into the year, we don’t want broody charles again pls.
ferrari fumbled the bag once again lol, seems like they're announcing yachts/boats/hypercar idk??
it seems funny how they post stuff that indicates contract renewal and then it's a random announcement or nothing. really wonder how they're gonna approach the actual announcement.
they gotta be aware that everything they post with charles / hinting an announcement will have people thinking automatically about a renewal, they can't be stupid. there's definitely a lot going on behind the scenes that makes them delay it.
the carlos contract issues problem is getting quite loud in the mainstream (it separates the public into two groups -- one that believes ferrari should get a driver that fits more charles' driving style to maximize the car if it's built for charles (like alex). the other group believes carlos is getting mistreated and deserves better.) both are valid arguments but realistically, things indicate that charles would be ferrari's first choice. he's their ferrari academy driver, and in general the tifosi have deeper relationship with him than carlos.
i fully believe that charles leaving would cause a lot of PR damage to ferrari, because there's no other driver on the grid (or in other racing series like f2) that has such a strong personal devotion to their team.

manifesting chaos in the 2024 f1 season (wiz edition)
kudos to @keepthedelta for starting this idea way back when, theirs were hilarious
- jos verstappen and carlos sainz snr have an actual fistfight, but agree to do it on pay per view TV for maximal profit and impact. carlos snr wins only because he still has good core strength from driving endurance races and also he definitely does yogilates
- forced to get more sponsorship money, kick stake sauber drivers have to do an embarrassingly slutty ad for vitamin water. turns out valtteri and guan yu is very game for it and it actually goes super viral, but only in china
- FIA announces seoul gp 2026 and do an embarrassing eGames tie up as well as get nct's most junior division (most of them are 10 years old) to promote it for some reason. 2025 Charles leclerc finally makes his debut on MDC singing an slow-fi hip hop song with lots of air horns. it’s the one he co-wrote with lewis hamilton as an anthem for the ferrari team
- no more grill the grid. liberty media takes things to the next level and makes all the drivers do elimination games from squid game. drivers may be injured or perish. however as per FIA regs they are still expected to recover well enough to drive by the following sunday
- seb vettel returns but only for one race to drive a literal tractor across a field in austria to promote saving the bees
- alex albon is told he gets to move to red bull again except alex albon was busy taking some proper off time with his girlfriend during the summer so he misses the email and the tweets. by the time he catches up with the rumours, red bull have already musical chaired first liam lawson and then daniel ricciardo in the seat only to immediately take it back and give it to a fifteen year old who’s currently taking a nap in the rb junior academy room somewhere
- zak brown starts a new tie up with an aerospace company and andrea accidentally builds a rocket ship that blasts the papaya boys into space. lando and oscar do a livestream in the MCL38 parked on the side of an asteroid
- nico rosberg appears on a sky broadcast in a t-shirt that people swear lewis hamilton once wore, and it in fact may be the exact same one. neither of them comments on it at all
- otmar somehow returns and spends half his time instructing his drivers to try and chase / destroy that orange twink… i mean, car. somehow he will manage to run a team more embarrassingly than haas.

What's your silly season prediction? I have been thinking bc to me there's no way Carlos doesn't have a seat for next year.
So we know that Lewis/Charles are in ferrari and Mclaren have their drivers locked down.
I think mercedes is gonna take Checo. Why? first they don't have the car to be breaking others drivers contract, they need a midfield that can help George but still be good at getting points, I feel Checo is better in a top car but not the top car. They need someone who bring some marketing, they are gonna take a blow now that Lewis is gone but Checo have the North America audience and is probably the driver that brings more money beside Lewis. I don't feel Kimi is ready for a Mercedes seat yet, Checo is old enough to retire when he's ready.
That leaves the RBR seat free, the obvious choice would be Carlos, I was very on board with this till the whole Horner mess and realized how messy Jos is and still have some power within the team so I bet he won't let Carlos get that seat lol. My bet is on Fernando then, I know Markos don't want him but Horner will, no way Daniel is getting that seat sorry.
So then Carlos to AM with Lance, hopeful it gets better and he can fight for podiums at least, he really deserves a top seat.
Zhou stay with Sauber but Bottas is gone, I'm not sure they would take their academy driver so my bet is Nico, he's wanted by Audi so he's just getting in one year early.
Haas stay with Magnussen because they won't have two rookie but Ollie gets the other seat.
Yuki stay and Daniel is out, Liam get his seat.
Williams stay with Albon, the other seat I'm not sure... I feel Kimi should do another year in f2 but Toto may get cocky and get him the seat. If not they would get maybee Gasly, I feel he wants out of alpine and this is the best he can get.
Alpine stay the same if Gasly doesn't leave, if he is gone then they are getting one of their academy drivers maybe Jack.
I agree with a lot of what you’ve said.
However, based on how things stand now, i think RB will resign Perez. They don’t need any more damn upheaval and he is delivering right now, as well as not making a nuisance of himself.
I think a lot of this hinges on Kimi and how he does in f2 and how much testing they are able to get him. But lets say he ends up needing another year in f2.
I think Alonso to Merc, and Carlos to AM. Alonso is not happy with the performance of the car, even Krack said it, he doesn’t want to drive in 10th. Toto likes a proven entity and Alonso is certainly that. But the other thing about Alonso, he’s old. He’ll take a one year contract because he doesn’t know how long he wants to do this, and Toto doesn’t have years to be offering, because he has to keep the seat warm for Kimi. You could say Carlos is ideal for Merc because there’s only one year until Audi comes in, but i have a sixth sense that Carlos would either want to bed down at Merc, or not go there at all. So I see Alonso to Merc on a one year contract, and Sainz to AM to hedge his bets on staying there if Daddy Warbucks manages to produce a good car, or switching to Audi if it’s the trenches.
On RBR, I don’t think anyone over there wants to add the sainzs to the list of obnoxious families involved in whatever is going on over there. And I don’t think they want to be playing games with Alonso either. They want to let Max do what Max does with minimal interruptions and as fun as Fernando is I don’t think his antics would be washing over there. I think Horner has lost too much pull over there to be making waves. He’s survived the assassination attempt but at the cost of realising he is ALONE in that garage. I don’t think he’ll be willing to stir up any animosity from Jos or Helmut by trying to bring back Daniel. And with Daniel’s performance he has no leg to stand on.
Yuki is a lock until 2026 which means Daniel is out and Liam is in (I think Liam has already signed).
Agree that Bearman and KMag will be the lineup for Haas.
Would love to see a whole new lineup for Sauber, but unlikely. I think they’re just as likely to stick with Zhou and Bottas as to get rid of them, because I think Audi will want a totally new lineup In 2026 anyway. I’m not sure what the pipeline is like for Sauber if Ferrari academy drivers go to Haas. Would not be surprised at all if it was Nico, I’d like to see him stay on the grid. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was Daniel, as an Audi audition and for the marketing.
I think Alex has one more year on the contract at Williams so he’s locked in. Sargeant definitely gone. I don’t know who else is in the Williams academy so can’t say who will get the seat. I am very skeptical about Kimi getting it. I think it will take James Vowles having NO other option before he takes on a Mercedes’ junior. I don’t think it’s unlikely that Kimi will go straight to Merc in 2026 (or 2025 honestly. They could use it as a test year for him if they are just giving up on the current regs). But yeah I see another rookie at Williams. Unless they get a hint that Alex is leaving…in which case they’ll be scrambling for someone with experience but idk who they will find. I don’t think they’ll take Gasly with that attitude of his.
I see alpine sticking with the baguettes. Maybe they dump Pierre but that’s a big maybe because the heck else are they going to get? Doohan doesn’t seem like he’d do a better job and their car is so bad a rookie might not even be able to keep it out of the wall. If they don’t improve the car, I see them sticking with the current lineup.
So yeah I mostly agree. But I’m just SO excited to see a couple of rookies on the grid, and Liam too.
