Peter Parker x Stark!Reader

warnings: cursing, flash being annoying.

summary: a field trip to Stark Industries exposes Y/N and Peter's relationship to more people than expected.

Peter made his way to the front of the school, where a crowd was standing by the bus. Today they were having a field trip to Stark Industries, something Peter has truly been dreading since Mr. Harrington came into the classroom one morning with an excited smile, pleased to announce where they were going. Peter had sent a mortified look over at Ned, who had given him a double thumbs up in reassurance.

He looked down at his shoes, hearing Flash chattering on with his big mouth while people ignored him. “Parker!” Flash’s voice interrupted his thoughts. He made his way over and placed a hand on Peter’s shoulder while everyone went silent and watched, including Mr. Harrington. “Don’t worry about being exposed for your lies, everyone already knew about you not interning with Stark.” He nodded his head in a mocking way. 

“What do you mean? I am.” Peter’s response just seemed to make Flash laugh.

“Yeah, yeah, good one.” Flash continued chuckling as he took his hand off Peter’s shoulder and started walking back into the crowd, but Ned’s voice stopped him in his path.

“Not only does Peter intern at Stark Industries, he’s also dating Y/N Stark.” Ned crossed his arms and nodded his head in a matter-of-factly way. Peter slapped him on the shoulder, warning him to shut up, making Ned mutter a small ow as he touched his shoulder.

“Now that’s even more unbelievable.” His grating laughter got louder. “Look at him, a total loser. There’s no way Y/N Stark would ever even look in his general dire-”

“Hey Flash, why don’t you try and shut up for once.” MJ cut him off, looking at him with a deadpan look. Flash scoffed and walked onto the bus that Mr. Harrington just opened. Peter sent her a grateful smile and she gave him a thumbs up before following the rest of the students onto the bus.

The bus stopped at the bottom of the tower and Peter felt his nerves worsen. 

“Off the bus everyone, off the bus!” Mr. Harrington shouted, moving his arm in a sweeping motion directed towards the door, ushering everyone out of the bus. The large class walked through the glass doors, being met with a lady at the front desk. 

She looked up and put a welcoming smile on her face, “Hello and welcome, you must be the class having a tour today, correct?” The woman - who Peter remembered as Sandra - asked.

Mr. Harrington nodded while she gave visiting passes to him. “Wait- this is only 21, there’s 22 in this class.” He pointed out, holding the stack of passes in his hand.

“I know, but Peter back there doesn’t need one, everyone in the tower knows him.” The woman smiled as everyone but Ned an MJ turned to Peter with confused expression, “Over there is you tour guide, Victor. Have a nice trip!” She turns back to her computer screen, almost robotically.

“The first floor we are visiting is the first lab.” He motions towards the elevator and everyone fits in.

They were all on the 86th floor. Mr. Stark had given them special access to the higher floors, in an attempt to make Peter’s classmates take him seriously. 

“On this floor is another engineering lab, the highest one in the tower. Miss Stark and The Avengers are normally the ones to be using this lab.” Victor winked at Peter, making his nerves skyrocket once again.

“Maybe we’ll get to see your little girlfriend, Penis Parker.” Flash shouted, making everyone laugh.

Peter just shook his head and ignored Flash, pushing open the door to the lab where multiple personal projects were left lying around.

“Hey, what are these?” Flash asked, picking up a new model of Peter’s web shooters that he was working on last night. 

Peter quickly lunged over to Flash and took the devices out of his hands before he broke them. “Don’t touch them, they’re fragile.” He told Flash off and put the web shooters back on the chipped, wooden table where they lay previously.

“What do you know, Penis Parker?” Flash mocked, “It’s not like you made them.”

“Actually I did, I’m S-” 

“Peter!” A loud shout cut Peter off.

“I didn’t know you were coming in today!” The cheery voice of Y/N Stark got louder as she bounded closer, arms open wide to engulf Peter in a hug. She gave him a quick kiss before whispering in his ear, “You’re lucky I came in when I did, you were about to expose yourself.” She whispered in an angry tone.

A sheepish expression overtook his features, “Sorry.” He whispered back, pecking her lips again. 

“Hey MJ, Ned.” She hugged MJ and Ned to greet them, much like she did Peter before wrapping her arms around Peter’s waist. 

Flash’s eyes were practically popping out of his skull at this point, not believing his eyes. “What the hell!” He cursed with a jealous glint in his eye, “There’s no way you’re dating him!” His shout got louder the more enraged he got.

“Actually we’ve been dating for a little over a year now.” Y/N looked at Flash before back up at Peter with a smile.

“You- you should be with me!” He stuttered, exasperated. 

“Why? So I can have money, because I’m pretty sure I already have that.” She spoke sarcastically, looking at Flash with an unamused expression.

“No! Penis Parker is a loser! He’s poor and spends his time watching Star Wars like a nerd.” Flash continues to attempt to insult Peter.

“Yes, well at least Peter is a great person. At least Peter doesn’t put others down because he wants to feel superior. You're family may have money but that doesn't make you any better than anyone else."

Flash went white at her words before mumbling something under his breath and looking at the floor.

“Ahh, I thought I’d find you all here.” The voice of Tony Stark echoed throughout the room as he came closer to the group. It was as if it was an instinct, everyone straightened their backs at the sight of the richest man on earth. “Y/N you were supposed to be fixing Nat’s widow bites.” Tony looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

“Dad, I came to say hi to Peter. Nat’s widow bites are right over there.” She pointed to a table further into the lab, where the weapons were sitting on the table.

He nodded his head. “And Peter, did you unload the dishwasher last night or did you forget and Pepper did it again?” Tony’s gaze was fixed on Peter, who gulped nervously.

“It’s my fault, dad. I needed his help on my homework.” Y/N cut in.

“Y/N we all know that you don’t do your homework.” Tony looked at Y/N with a suspicious look.

Peter gave her an alarmed expression and she shrugged, “oops.”
