Coconut and pineapple flavors go here. Also the home of chalky-type sweets like Love Hearts/candy hearts, smarties (usa) and You may be also able to appreciate Turkish Delight.

High Summer - Gummy bears and chewy, jellyish, jammy, gummy, springy in bright jewel tones. Gummy worms and jelly snakes, jelly babies, jelly beans, Haribo. Clearer and gummier than Midsummer.

Autumn Night - darker and more complex sweetness, often including an element of burning or alcohol, or another challenge. Cherry cordials, marzipan, champagne truffles. Also home of burnt-sugar tastes: maple candy, bonfire toffee, candy corn. Also home of matcha; red liquorice; red bean paste. When people bring you sweets from other countries, they’ll choose unusual local delicacies. You almost certainly were fascinated as a kid by lollipops at the science museum sold with real bugs in them.

Autumn Salt - peanut butter and peanut brittle, salted caramel, toffee, butterscotch. Toffee popcorn, Reese’s Peanut Butter cups, Snickers, Daim. If nobody has any nuts, you’ll choose chocolate with nuts, crisp or crunch over other things. Sweet just isn’t enough.

Winter Spice - herbal, spicy and medicinal sweets, usually hard old-fashioned sweets. Red-hots, burning cinnamon, chilli - eucalyptus, root beer, menthol; sarsaparilla. Hard candy, generally: old fashioned ‘boiled sweets,’ things that look gorgeous in glass jars. Parma violets. Fisherman’s Friends. You’re the only person who would eat a gingerbread house after decorating it. You’re also possibly a ghost, or used to be a Mad Spring. It’s also about the SENSATION.

Midwinter - dark black Licorice. Salty? Sweet? saltlakrids? Allsorts? Australian? You might like other things too, but when your loved ones are in another country, they go to the licorice aisle and get you the weirdest local variant they can find.

Long Winter - true chocolate, basic chocolate stuff: M&Ms. Dairy Milk. Hershey’s Kiss. But also home of fudgy tastes and sugar-on-sugar in a long slow sauce. Marshmallow, Handmade fudge, Phish Food ice cream.

Cool Winter - naturally, the homebase of minty tastes. peppermint wheels, York’s Peppermint Patties, After Eights. Also orange - chocolate orange - and, oddly, pixie sticks/sherbet and other sweet things that involve eating simple flavored sugar.

Servamp headcanons, ice cream edition! Because my grandma got an ice cream maker and we’re all super eager to try it out but then she broke her back (she’s fine, don’t worry)

Mahiru: plain old vanilla. Misono introduced him to vanilla BEAN ice cream though and he’s feeling a little guilty about wanting to splurge a bit for the more expensive, creamier stuff… Kuro is an enabler and his encouragement is the only reason he’s still managing to resist. Just do it Mahi!

Kuro: Cookies and Cream is his favorite, but he’s also partial to cookie dough, or crumbled chocolate mint cookies as topping. He likes both the taste and the texture

Misono: chocolate lol. He’s predictable. His absolute favorite though are those ultra decadent brownie batter type of chocolate ice creams. Yknow the ones. Chocolate pieces, brownie bits, hot fudge swirl… He gets sick off the stuff easily though, so even though he loves it, self control is everything

Lily: vanilla bean with strawberry topping and cheese cake bites! He loves fresh strawberries in his desserts, and often he and Misono will trade bites if they’re getting flavor fatigue. Also very rich but the strawberry helps cuts through the sweetness

Tetsu: a Basic Boi who loves GariGariKun the most. Prefers popsicles over dairy treats. Yeah technically this isn’t ice cream but like. It’s the taste of summer and after bath refreshments. I’m not taking that from him

Hugh: vanilla with hot fudge sauce (and/or blood). He still prefers his chocolate parfaits, or better yet for this scenario, a milkshake

Licht: yknow those ultra sweet cotton candy flavors? If it’s ice cream by itself, he loves that. But if it’s a float, it’s gotta be vanilla in melon soda. If you take him to marble slab or similar place that lets you mix in a bunch of toppings, he will make a beeline for the gummy bears. Gets disappointed every time that they turn hard and unpleasant to eat, even though he already knows the outcome

Lawless: he has two favorites. Coffee bean (distinct from just plain coffee flavor) and moose tracks. I’m not sure what that’s called in other places? Basically it’s vanilla with peanut butter cups and fudge. Only goes for this when he’s depressed, if I’m honest. Otherwise it’s too sweet.

Mikuni: haagen daz amaretto almond crunch and their hojicha latte flavor. Forever sad that the former was limited edition and doesn’t make seasonal returns. It was absolutely perfect for his and jeje’s terrible Netflix movie nights (with the occasional appearance by johannes so they could make fun of the bad science together)

Jeje: since Mikuni only buys haagen daz (spoiled pretentious shit) he’s grateful they a rich pumpkin flavor that becomes available during autumn. He also really likes horchata milkshakes for the comforting taste of cinnamon.

Iduna: Tried butter pecan once and was hooked. The crunchiness of the pecans is her favorite part. It’s her go to for when Haagen Daz Creamy Vanilla Pudding flavor isn’t in season. Back home, though, it’s got to be the rather… Unique. Salty licorice flavor. She gave some to shuuhei one time just to watch him gag. She knows what she’s doing to that poor boy.

Freya: the simple freshness of strawberry ice cream is her guilty pleasure. She been thinking of making her own with an old hand churner. It would be fun, right? And it’s not like it would be difficult to get the ingredients she needs.

Nicco: Pistachio gelato, though he also enjoys the tartness and slight bitter aftertaste of limoncello flavor. He likes taking Ildio with him whenever there’s a new flavor he wants to try but isn’t sure he’ll like. Even if he doesn’t care for it, his servamp probably will. Does that make him mean?

Ildio: No preference as of yet. He’s still figuring this whole… Tasting your food thing out

Tsubaki: as expected, he loves matcha and red bean flavors. REALLY excited some of the Hagen daz hanamochi series is becoming a permanent flavor

Sakuya: rocky road. Sweet, crunchy, and a little bitter on the back end from the chocolate. Refuses to admit it but he also enjoys the hanamochi series. He’s stubborn. Whenever he wins a free popsicle he gives the stick to Mahiru, so inevitably when they hang out, that’s what he buys if they stop at the konbini, just for the chance to maybe earn some good boy points with his best friend and crush. And he thinks he’s subtle—

Has anyone shared the concept of brunost marshmallows with you? Instagram just flung it out at me (sadly the video did not feature the cheese in its unadulterated form; I assumed it was just some sort of caramel before I read the caption and moved from polite scepticism to intrigued bafflement)

My immediate reaction was oh my god what. But most of what I'm seeing is actually regular marshmallows with a Brunost caramel sauce, which makes sense given Brunost is basically caramel anyway -- it's whey heated to the maillard reaction point, I believe, though it's been a hot minute since I read about that. I've actually attempted to make it -- I had a bunch of whey left over from making yogurt and tried to brunost it up -- but mine turned into a solid block of caramel when it cooled. :D

I really need to find a reliable source of brunost, or somewhere that'll ship me imports; Whole Foods sometimes has it, but not always, and not the blue-wrapper stuff I've been seeking. Until then...I shall just dream of the salty dairy fudge. :D

So...if you don't know DnD, basically, Dragonborn have certain colors they come in that dictate the kind of ability they have. I designed Wren with the intention of her being a White Dragonborn but several people said they read her as blue. So I got salty and did an alt Blue Wren to be like 'No, if I wanted blue, she would have been BLUE. She is white with blue accents!'

And then I wanted to play with every ancestry type so...ta-da, multi-verse Wren.

Unrelated but I got...weirdly mad about Copper, Bronze and Brass. Mostly because the color palette between them isn't that different on the official DnD dragons so I fudged it so the three would all look different.

The Purgatory event and the new Traffic/Life series happening at the same time is really making me think about my personal frustrations with mixing storytelling oriented roleplay and structured or rules oriented gameplay

I'm obviously not saying you can't mix those successfully, but for me at least there are some grey areas between the two where it just becomes extremely frustrating to me, to the point that I can't enjoy it and often get actually mad about it

(I know, I know, I should be more mature about it, whatever, I'm being mature by trying my best to shut up, at least in public)

Basically my problem is that if you're gonna mix these two types of playing, there's basically only two options I find satisfying:

1. keep the roleplay very light and non-serious while focusing on the structured gameplay (some fudging of the rules for the sake of roleplay is fine if it makes things more fun)

2. make the gameplay and the rules just the setting/starting off point and from there the roleplay and storytelling should always be the priority (obviously some occasional handwaving is fine but it should never be anything that seriously breaks character or gets in the way of what would be the most interesting direction for the story)

The problem is that between these two there's option 1.5, which is where both styles of play are equally mixed, and that's where the danger zone lies for me.

I think the best case scenario for me is when it's option 1 turning gradually into option 2. I'm sort of fine with that direction, because I just love roleplay and storytelling. What REALLY gets to me though, is when option 2 suddenly starts moving towards option 1.

The best example of this for me is the Last Life SMP finale, which I'm just still so mad about and no I have no chill, if I seem chill about it, it's because I'm censoring myself to be polite. They had the perfect set up for Scott and Pearl, the two survivers of the GGG, and Rendog and Martyn, the two survivers of the Shadows and also characters connected through a bond that crossed over from Third Life, to go head to head in a final battle, but crucially staying loyal to their teammates to the end. But nahhhhh clearly what we should do instead is just ignore all preceding character arcs and just do a basic ass four person battle royale round. And then unceremoniously kill the winner immediately after so they can't even do one last thing before they go.

(Sorry Last Life fans, I think that's like most people's favourite season, or that's the impression I have. I did say that I was holding back purely out of politeness. I actually have zero chill about this. I even had to delete some lines that were getting a bit too salty just now.)

But yeah, the reason why I had to stop watching Purgatory on day one was because I was getting that same feeling of frustration because it felt like they were going from peak dramatic roleplay to suddenly doing a random ass PVP tournament with random ass teams. I mean to be fair there is a story excuse for it because there's that eye entity or whatever that's making the players do this in-universe, but still, it was getting to me. I wasn't having a good time and I was getting mad so I decided I needed to quit and hear from others later whether it would even be worth watching for me.

Still not entirely sure if I like this arc, but I've calmed down enough to give it a shot

Just trying to analyse why I have these reservations. And yes I know it's personal preference and most people probably don't feel this way or at least not as intensely about it. I know a lot of people understandably enjoy the variety and that's fine. I'm just explaining my perspective.

I guess it really is mostly just about feeling jebaited as a fan of roleplay and storytelling.

Just a funky little thing. These are my headcanons on favorite ice cream flavors for some bsd characters!

Astushi: Cookies in cream but he would add fudge to make it special.

Kunikida: Rocky road. He got it because they were out a different flavor he liked then he started favoring this one

Ranpo: Cotton Candy. Im not explaining.

Dazai: the most sweetest thing ever in hopes he would get a sugar high and die from it. He started liking it and now he gets it all the time

Chuuya: Orange sherbet. He got it as a dare from dazai back when he worked with him in the pm and started liking it.

Akutagawa: Dark Chocolate with hot fudge in it. Its cause Dazai said it looked emo like him. So he started eating it purely becucase dazai said something about it.

Poe: Caramel ice cream. Its salty and sweet. Just like his feeling towards ranpo

Fyodor- Rat.

Yosano:Cookie dough. Its basic but she likes it cause she is amazing and I love her.

Kyoka: strawberry. Idk man it just suits her. Also astushi got it for her and its all she ate when they went to get ice cream.

Fukuzawa: Vanilla. Basic bitch

And last but not least mori: Little girl flavored. Jk jk like chocolate cause he also a basic bitch just mean.

alright here we go let me give you the rundown of my plot [shoves your wiki article away] no. don't look at that. you've never heard of chocolate com pimenta, that's fine. let me explain to you the fun. uh. how do i start this.

basic presmise of my fic would be something like this: the owners of the chocolate factory in the town of [whatever. france?] are getting wealthier and wealthier as the years go on. the graham de vanily household is absolutely full of wealth and money, and now the owner of the factory, felix, has absolutely everything he wants smack in the middle of his 20s.

except.

marinette, a poor girl in her very early 20s with confectionary parents, living on her uncle's farm after her parents passed away. she sells and makes her own confectionary in the town using the chocolate bars that the GDVs sell, except hers is good. like, good. rumors keep floating around that the sweetheart valentine chocolates end up making you aroused.

the sympathy mints make your heartache hurt less.

the truffle loverhoney she sells in jars are so sweet that every time you see someone you love you get a toothache.

the salty-tears taffy is a kid favorite, always making them cry on the first taste until you stop eating it.

there are decadent chocolate cakes with rows and rows of strawberries and fudge, there are carrot cakes shaped into interesting molds with powdered sugar, there are flans and puddings with condensed milk, passion-fruit mousses that ooze sweetness, and, and--

felix is so confused. he shows up, wanting to buy at least one of her items, just one of her sweets, and ends up falling in love with the girl behind the counter when she treats him so kindly. she's a breath of fresh air compared to what he deals with at the estate, and had no idea.

she's so sweet, just like the stuff she sells, and wow wow wow felix comes back home with a sweet in his hand that he's so terrified to try out.

he does.

he spends every single chance he gets trying to convince her to work for "the gdv's, they'd love to have you," to which she says no thank you. he has no idea that marinette's also caught the eye of the city's star princess, chloe, a childhood friend of felix's who knows exactly what's happening every time he slips into marinette's shop, and has deliberately threatened her that if she gets any closer to felix she'll have issues.

chloe tries out the chocolate making business, too, trying to get felix's attention. she fails horribly. even when she thinks she's found marinette's secret, and uses it in her own chocolate making, everything comes out bland. something's afoot with marinette's confectionary skills.

i haven't thought any more ahead.

but i just really like the idea of felix and marinette eating chocolate together and giggling like children. so cute. i hope they get married in this fic, it'd be adorable-- this definitely wouldn't be a oneshot. i don't know.

It's geetting late & I have a job interview tmrw.

Here's the plan: I'll wake up on like 4.5h of sleep, take a shower or maybe a bath so I can really scrub, wear my towel while I print off my letters & signed form thing & time sheet & all the stuff on the virtual classroom, & then I'll get dressed & pack my stuff & grab my bike & go... except idk if there will be a place to store my bike so I'll just bus. Let's say I have my interview at 11.00, the bus only gets there every however many minutes so I'll get there by 10.30, it's abt 45 mins & I need to leave the house at about 9.45, let's say it takes me 10m to get my shoes on (& stop whatever I'm doing & put on my binder) except let's round up to 15 bc then it's 9.30 which is a nicer number, 1h to get dressed & pack my backpack, 1h to print off my stuff & put it in my backpack & wait to dry off, 1h to wash, so that's 6.30 I need to wake up. (the waking up time & heating up the water won't take too long so I'm including it in the bath time, which is whyI am so so overestimating these numbers. I'm including more than I say.)

Wow for someone with as poor time management as me I would need to wake up at 6.30 for an interview at 11... holy crap. I'm broken my dudes.

i'm trying to brainstorm my perfect birthday dessert... it should be some kind of peanut butter + chocolate concoction. probably in bar or square form. it should have one layer of crunchy peanut butter mixture and one layer of smooth fluffy peanut butter mixture. also chocolate on top and bottom. and maybe crunchy chocolate layer in the middle. also maybe cream cheese in the smooth layer? the smooth layer has to be firm but still soft. maybe some kind of wafers in the crunchy layer to make it good and crispy. and it has to be not too sweet. just sweet enough. and a bit salty to balance it out. basically it should be rich and buttery but not too heavy. like the perfect blend of cheesecake and reese's cups and peanut butter mousse and that crunchy fudge layer from a dairy queen ice cream cake. i'll probably spend the rest of the month trying to craft this perfect dessert

I would be Louis Vuttion because my life has revolved around them. Even my mom has a Louis Vuttion phone case (it's fake), so I was influenced. Also, I like some of their designs.

I feel like my family is my hero (THEY ARE 1). Each member of my family gave me emotional and physical support. Whenever I felt conflicted or depressed, they would cheer me up and give me life advice. I learned a lot from them throughout my life, so they basically changed my life, even my dog.

It would give me stress and emotional damage because it requires a lot of thinking and working things out. Although, it's good to work things out before it gets out of hand.

10. What are the biggest differences between you today/now and five years ago?

5 years ago, I was 14 years old, in middle school, an 8th grader, and looking a little sloppy. I used to be childish and dependent on my friends. For some unknown reason, I wanted to be that quirky girl and started doing bizarre things. I would go around the grass area and start acting like a fish out of the water. Basically, I started belly-flopping, but on grass. Looking back, I realized that I am traumatized and if I were to meet myself, I would run the other way. In all seriousness, I was really immature and I didn't put myself out there enough. Because I had a "quirky" personality from the outside and a shy personality from the inside, I didn't have that many friends and the teachers didn't give me enough attention. Which made me salty by the way.

Now as a 19-year-old, still short, and blind as a chocolate fudge female, I have grown to become a better person. I set boundaries, know when the situation is serious, understand that being alone is okay, and many more. I feel like college has taught me how to be an independent woman. I still act kind of out of pocket sometimes, but it's not as bad as 5 years ago. An advice I would give myself would be to talk to more people and be confident in myself. Also, don't be afraid to stand up against toxic people, they are a disease to society.

Crispy Caramel Candy Bar from Hudsonville

Pretty disappointing. The vanilla base is basic. Ok texture but nothing special. The chocolate covered crispies aren’t very crispy. They’re not completely soft/stale but not what you want. The caramel is ok if sparse—sweet with a bit of salty bite to it. I had NONE of the fudge in the entire first half of the tub. I hit a little chunk of it in the second half but by then I was bored with it and gave the rest away.

Secret Santa Clause

This is a rough draft but it is basically a salty Christmas fic...at least I think it counts as salty?

The class is holding a Secret Santa event on their class group chat. Knowing Chloe, Caline states the following rules:

1. The budget for each gift is 20 euros.

2. You must give a present once a week.

3. The present must be thoughtful. (This was aimed at Chloe since last time she just gave out her photos, hand me downs and autographs.)

Imagine Marinette’s surprise when she receives Lila’s name in her secret Santa email. Groaning, Marinette is silently grumpy for a while until she hits an epiphany. The presents have to be thoughtful, but the receiver doesn’t necessarily have to like them.

And Marinette can use this loophole to her advantage.

Marinette has Alya swear secrecy because she only hates Chloe and Lila so the suspects for who she has to give presents to were obvious once Alya noticed Marinette’s sour mood on the phone. In return, Marinette promises to give nice gifts and will even let Alya inspect them.

1st week: Lila received a commonplace but newly released Ladybug purse. She feigns joy but Marinette knows Lila hates Ladybug even more than her. So while Lila is cooing over her ‘BFF’ merchandise, inside she is really....

Lila suspects Alya, Ladybug’s #1 fan might be her secret Santa. She doesn’t suspect Adrien because he knows she doesn’t like Ladybug and is too nice to give her a gift she wouldn’t like. Lila doesn’t suspect Marinette because if she would give Lila a piece of clothing, it would be really cheap but the ladybug purse cost about 20 euros, so yeah.

Meanwhile Marinette receives colourful beads she can use for her designs.

2nd week: Marinette gives Lila an experiment of her Dad’s baking that she vetoed for Christmas sales because girls like Chloe would scream at the sight of it. It is a tin of one large, sinful fudge brownie stuffed with caramel and marshmallow.

Marinette gives Alya a small piece and the latter approves. Marinette knows Lila can’t trace the dessert to her bakery because they don’t sell it. Alya gladly provides Marinette with the nondescript brownie tin. When Chloe and Adrien smell the brownie, one runs away from carbs and fats while the other bangs his head on the table and reminds himself of what he cannot eat. Lila just munches on it without care. Again she doesn’t suspect Marinette because she thinks her rival would just get her cheap chocolates, not a rich dessert.

Marinette herself gets beautiful hair ribbons. Like seriously...are these really below the budget?

3rd week: a cheap silver pearl bracelet that matches her earring. It seems harmless but Lila is still irked at being turned into a clam. She hates seafood and pearls because it reminds her of her third failure and humiliation. This time Lila can’t hide her initial reaction. She shied away from the pearls. Upon noticing her classmates’ confusion, she claims she thought the pearls were real and didn’t want to be the cause of so much monetary loss.

Marinette receives Christmas roses and wonders if her secret Santa is a secret admirer.

Christmas Eve: time for the reveal. The class meets up at a party in the park. So when Lila looks around for her secret Santa, she turns around to see a smirking Marinette saying, “Merry Christmas, Lila.”

Lila is surprised and feigns pleasantness. “Oh Marinette, you're my secret Santa?” Lila starts going over her list of presents. Marinette knew she was a liar and somehow found out she hated Ladybug- probably via Adrien. And the brownie was super rich which meant now Lila had to work out like crazy if she wanted to lose the excess fat. Plus, everyone knew about the clam incident. All along it had been Marinette spitefully giving her those “nice” presents.

“Yup.”

“Where’s my present?” The grand finale that Lila would have to grit her teeth and smile over. Oh Marinette will pay for this.

“Look behind you.” Alya was beaming at her friend, so proud Marinette made an exception during the holidays. Lila is suspicious of Marinette’s wide grin.

“Hello, Ma Bella.” Mrs Rossi smiled at her Daughter.

“Mum?” Lila gaped. Uh oh.

“I managed to convince your mom to spend a few hours off work to spend more time with you. I hope you like your present,” Marinette explained, barely hiding the smugness Lila knew she was feeling.

After talking it over with Alya, Marinette learns Mrs Rossi is constantly absent. She also knew Mrs Rossi was the perfect person to expose Lila.

Lila was panicked, she had to get her mother out of here before her classmates started asking about her work. She can claim to want some alone time with her Mother. Revenge against Marinette can wait.

But before Lila could usher her mother away, the latter spots Adrien and goes “Oh you must be Lila’s Boyfriend. It’s nice to finally meet you.”

Cue silence... then Chloe’s screech of fury.

“WHAT?”

Adrien looked surprised and horrified. “What?”

Marinette covered her mouth to muffle her laughter. “What?”

Lila laughs nervously. “I may have exaggerated that part, Mama.”

Mrs Rossi blinks. “Oh. Well then, thank you for keeping in touch with my Daughter when the school was shut down. Honestly, the incompetence of Ladybug and Chat Noir to have let the akuma run rampant for so long...”

Lila was aghast, silently plotting Marinette’s gruesome murder.

Caline was shocked. Shut down? What was Mrs Rossi talking about?

The classmates were furious. Incompetent? Their saviours? Who did Mrs Rossi think she was?

Adrien was denying the accusation of checking up on Lila, AND clarified he had only ever talked to her before her return to school via facechat, with the class, during school, when she was travelling to Achu with her Mother.

Mrs Rossi pauses, stunned, then turns to her Daughter. “Lila?”

Marinette: I should have brought chocolate popcorn.

After the whole exposure was revealed, Caline escorted the Italian Mother and Daughter to the principal’s office to discuss the ramifications of Lila’s lies. She asked the class to continue their festivities without her.

The class was silent from the event. Their Friend has been lying to them for months, had taken advantage of their kindness.

Marinette watched Nino comfort Alya, her face unreadable.

“Hey.” It was Adrien’s voice. Marinette turned to him.

“Hey yourself.”

“You planned this whole thing, didn’t you?”

“I didn’t plan Mrs Rossi to come at first. I was just going to ask Jagged to make a surprise visit.” And expose her for not knowing the rock star at all.

Marinette held Adrien’s gaze. She would not regret her actions. Lila had gotten her expelled, had gotten Kagami akumatized, and was a downright bully.

“Good.”

Marinette startled. She did not expect that answer.

Adrien rubbed his neck, “After she framed you, I made a deal with the devil. Either she got you back in school, or I end our friendship.”

Marinette felt a smile tug on her mouth. “You couldn’t find a way to prove she was lying either?”

Adrien shrugged. “I admit she is a master at lying, so I refused to play that game with her. I’ve been hoping she would slip up but that didn’t happen at all.”

Marinette grinned now. She kissed Adrien’s cheek on her tiptoes. “Well, thank you for helping me get back into school.”

Adrien cheeks were red. So cute. He stuck his hands out. In them was a worn sketchbook. “Merry Christmas Marinette, from your secret Santa.”

Marinette was the one blushing now. “You mean...you were secret my present? I mean, you were my Secret Santa?”

Adrien smiled softly at Marinette. “I was really happy to be the secret Santa for our Everyday Ladybug.”

Marinette’s smile was painfully wide now. She took the offered sketchbook, opened it, and saw rough sketches of outdated clothing. Wrinkling her brow, Marinette flipped through the pages, wondering why Adrien was giving her this.

Then she came to a certain page and saw a certain signature.

The shrill scream she emitted was louder than Chloe’s.

“An original Gabriel Agreste sketchbook?” Marinette looked at the old thing like it was the holy grail.

Adrien laughed. “Yeah, he didn’t mind giving it up. Of course, I had to find it in the attic first but the effort seems well worth it, given your reaction.”

Marinette took a deep breath, regaining control of herself. She looked up at Adrien again and, before her nerve failed her, asked, “Would you like to grab hot chocolate with me?”

Adrien beamed. “Nothing would make me happier.”

They walked out.

The class was left staring after them. In the previous silence, they heard the entire conversation. Marinette had been right all along and she had been a victim of Lila’s. Only Adrien successfully helped her get back to school.

Alya sobbed, guilt eating her alive. She was a terrible Best Friend.

The others were feeling horrible too. How could they ever make it up to her?

Nino took charge. He consoled Alya but said in a loud voice for them all to hear, “We’ll make it up to her. Someday.”

The rest nodded. Only Chloe was somehow silent before they realized that Alix had knocked her out when the blond looked like she was going to start screeching at Marinette for asking Adrien out.

Cue Sabrina starting to wake her BFF up.

Caline returns and informs the class that Lila has gone home. She does not mention the punishments the liar had gotten but insists they continue the Santa Claus event.

when school reopens, Lila is revealed to have been expelled.

Before that, Alya and everyone else but Chloe apologies to Marinette. She forgives them all.

Marinette finally breaks down the spite behind her gifts to Alya. Her BFF is so proud and even shrieks when Marinette admits her hot chocolate Friend-date yesterday ended in a mistletoe kiss.

Adrien meanwhile has a dreamy, rosy look on his face and doesn’t respond when Nino waves his hand up and down in front of him.

I kind of feel bad that their Christmas Eve was ruined, but oh well. For the record, the hair ribbons are costly because they use real silk and Swarovski crystals, but Adrien didn’t spend a dime on them because he just got them from free since their are Gabriel accessories. Gabriel doesn’t care.

For the record, Adrien’s secret Santa was Max. Lila gave pink stuff to Rose.

I love ron but there was a huge shift of his character from book 3 to 4, he went from literally not minding Harry's fame at all to always being jealous. It seemed so FORCED in book 4 onwards. Like jealous of the cup, jealous of him having gold, jealous of his robes, jealous of him being able to ask out any girl to the yule ball, jealous of Viktor I feel like because it was planned for him to leave she had to force that but it seemed unnatural tbh

I do think JKR pushed it with the Krum thing to kind of make it obvious Ron likes Hermione, otherwise people wouldn’t know right? She had to kind of make it over the top so like it's CLEAR that Ron likes her. If he’s okay with it, it just shows they’re good friends. I think that if this wasn't the case then Ron wouldn't have been as jealous, he’d be annoyed but get over it. As to the thing with Harry, Ron is pretty great overall with him. I think what you’re missing is how the books are told from Harry’s view and not Ron’s so you don’t really see how Ron’s experiencing things. 

So naturally, let me do an essay talking about Ron’s jealousy and where it stems from and why it’s justified. 

In the first book we see Ron and Harry becoming friends, people oggle at him, but Ron does not seem to mind. Becoming friends so early on, Ron ends up viewing Harry as a friend instead of the celebrity everyone else see’s him as. Ron assists Harry in taking down Voldemort in his first year, and he gets recognized for it by Dumbledore. Now people may not see this, but although he gets recognized- he is awarded 50 points. Now here is something to remember, at this moment- Slytherin is 160 points ahead of Gryffindor. Ron has just one them 50 points- yeah it’s great- but they need another 110 points to be tied.  Hermione gives them 50 extra points and starts crying. Then Harry is awarded 60. This makes them tied with Slytherin, and is obviously, 10 more points than Ron gone. So is once again, second best.  Ron’s moment is instantly overtook by Harry. Now Harry actually gets overtook by Neville winning 10 points, making Gryffindor win, Now in my opinion Ron doesn’t care at all because he immediately goes to cheer on neville, from book one to three I think Ron is generally okay with being overshadowed- but he just like anyone else would has a breaking point, which happens to be in Goblet of Fire . 

In the second book he goes  with Harry to the forbidden forrest, facing his arachnophobia, and goes to the chamber of secrets with him. It’s his broken wand that causes Lockhart to obliviate himself- otherwise the both of them would have been obliviated. And yes he has motives, it is his sister. But remember, Ginny has three other brothers in her school, does this mean they don’t care about her? Of course not. Ron just trusts Harry in a way that other characters can’t. Harry can talk to snakes and the whole school basically thinks he is the heir of Slytherin, so maybe falling Harry into a forbidden forrest or chamber of secrets isn’t something everyone is so keen on doing. But Ron trusts Harry and is willing to risk his life to be alongside him. Now is it ROn’s fault they get seperated in the chamber? No. Did Ron help as much as Harry, of course. Dumbledore gives them special services to the school for a reason. However a key thing to note is that Ginny does not see Ron. Who does she see? Harry. What is she going to tell her mum? Well, that Harry saved her. She is already a huge fan of him, so this already adds into her narrative. So what happens when Molly Weasley comes to see Ginny? She goes to hug Harry and thanks him right away, when Ron is right there. Ron says nothing, and he’s probably just happy that she’s safe. But what do you think happened when they went home that summer? Ginny gushed about Harry, she mentioned how he had saved her. Of course, she hadn’t seen Ron so it wasn’t her fault. But this yet again, shows Ron being overshadowed by Harry even though he himself contributed to her well being.

Come the third book, we see this quote

‘“Did you really blow up your aunt, Harry?” said Hermione in a very serious voice. “I didn’t mean to,” said Harry while Ron roared with laughter. “I just — lost control.” “It’s not funny, Ron,” said Hermione sharply. “Honestly, I’m amazed Harry wasn’t expelled.” “So am I,” admitted Harry. “Forget expelled, I thought I was go­ing to be arrested.” He looked at Ron. “Your dad doesn’t know why Fudge let me off, does he?” “Probably ’cause it’s you, isn’t it?” shrugged Ron, still chuckling. “Famous Harry Potter and all that. I’d hate to see what the Min­istry’d do to me if I blew up an aunt. Mind you, they’d have to dig me up first, because Mum would’ve killed me. Anyway, you can ask Dad yourself this evening. We’re staying at the Leaky Cauldron tonight too! So you can come to King’s Cross with us tomorrow! Hermione’s there as well!”

This shows that Ron is not ignorant to Harry’s favouritism, he is well aware that harry is more recognized than him. Obviously he is not mad, he’s laughing and thinks it’s great. But it shows how he is well aware that Harry has a treatment that he doesn't, this is important. This is where we get a glimpse of Ron’s perspective in the books. If you experience the events from Ron’s perspective, you’re going through all the adventures Harry goes through minus the same recognition. 

Now Goblet of Fire comes along, Harry is chosen to be in the tournament. Ron really wanted to sign up- but he was too young. Keep in mind he's mad at Harry because he thinks Harry found a way to sign up without him, not because he signed up. Ron deals with being pushed to the side all the time and genuinely cares about Harry. Ron just wants to be seen as his equal, he doesn’t care that Harry gets recognition. He literally just wants to be an equal counterpart. He apologizes when he see’s the danger Harry is in and puts that behind him. 

Order of the Phoenix Ron beats Harry in one thing- becoming a prefect, and Harry is instantly salty. Keep in mind that Ron has been dealing with this for FIVE YEARS, long term. This one little minuscule thing has Harry feeling some way. Instead of being happy, he APOLOGIZES to Harry. He says he was sure Harry was going to get it. This shows the regard he has for Harry, the difference is, unlike everything else, this is something they simply can’t both have, only one person can be prefect. Then we see Ron literally telling Harry all the things he’s faced and Harry rubbing it in Hermione and Ron’s faces that they haven’t experienced what he has. I personally thought this was so rude. Yes Harry stabbed the diary, yes Harry cast the patronus charm, and yes Harry saw Voldemort. But Ron was with him in the chamber, Ron drove the car, Ron kept Lockhart imprisoned, you think Ron can’t stab a book with a fang? Of course he can. Ron’s leg was literally broken in POA, and he still stood up on it to fight Sirius. Where have we ever seen a time where Ron can’t handle himself? Harry is different, he has this core connection with Voldemort, most of his victories are not due to him- take GOF for example. And what would Harry have done in POA without Hermione’s time turner? Nothing. GOF he wouldn’t have made it past the Dragon if Ron didn’t get Hagrid to tell him he was facing a dragon. Instead of Ron saying all of this he sits and takes it because he knows Harry has it worse than him in terms of Voldemort. He encourages Harry to start DA But also remember why the hell can Harry cast a patronus in the first place? Did he learn it himself? No! Lupin went out of his way to TEACH him, you think Ron wouldn't have been capable if Lupin had done the same with him? Of course, in DA we see Ron casting a patronus! He goes with Harry to the Ministry, he gets hit by a death eater, SO DOES Hermione Granger, why is Harry unaffected? Because the death eaters were TOLD not to harm Harry because VOLDEMORT wanted him! In the end Harry needs help, he needs the order and dumbledore. What comes out of all of this? Harry being recognized. That’s all. 

Come HBP , people don’t care about Luna or Neville, Hermione only mentions how Harry is so liked because people know how he was in the Ministry. Then the slug club comes, imagine a club like this in your school, that is BLATANT favouritism, Harry has all these fangirls, and then is a part of this club literally for his name. He’s also now quidditch captain- Ron isn’t even mad, he even jokes that Harry will be his captain if he lets him on the team again. Then he helps Harry yet again with the death eaters and all of that and then we go into DH. 

The jealousy comes into play with Harry and Hermione, which honestly Hermione had a part to play in this, Hermione does treat Harry differently from Ron, she’s like always more concerned about him and we know (well some of us) know it’s because he’s like her brother so it’s an overly protective sister kind of thing with him, but with Ron she likes him so she’s not as coddling, she treats him like she's his girlfriend which he fails to see. She also compliments Harry because it means nothing to her but she’s more reserved with complimenting Ron because she likes him (very teenager), she can say Harry’s handsome and not care but be too shy to say Ron is because of how she feels with regards to him.  Ron obviously misreads this. Anyways, at the end of the day,  him leaving isn’t down to jealousy, it’s down to frustration and Harrys’ lack of empathy for his family. When he comes back we see the Harry/Hermione thing which is just a bigger picture of giving insight to how Ron has seen everything. Ron is so good about it we never really heard his insecurities. But it’s sad how he see’s himself. So honestly, I feel for him and the man had a lot of patience. Hermione and Harry have no regards for his insecurities, Hermione mentions his insecurities ONCE in GOF and then goes onto say Harry should have been perfect, Harry is so brave for going in the ministry, I’m 100% Hermione thought she was giving Ron’s too many hints about her liking him so she didn’t feel like she had to compliment him. Like an ‘obviously I like you so I don’t need to tell how how much all the time,’ but you know Ron misreads it and he gives off that tough persona so Hermione fails to see how he is an actual puppy who hides behind humour. Tabloids are out about Harry and Hermione and how they’re so in love all of that, like he was justified for all his jealousies and he still stood and loved Harry none-the-less, so I think failure to recognize his experience takes from why he was jealous in the first place and that he’s not a bad person for being jealous given the situations he’s been put into.

♥ What’s the WORST thing that has happened to you rp wise?

I suppose it depends. I'm not sure what I would consider the worst thing I've been been through, I can only think of times that I RPed with someone that I don't think of fondly.

I've been through many, many people who've Godmoded, Powerplayed, Metagamed and/or Retconned to an pretty bad degree. I was so new to RPing I was used to it, and I even fell into the trap of doing these things once in a while to others, which I feel bad for doing now. I remember one case where I basically pandered to the person's Mary Sue for a whole month because I thought it would help everyone else since they didn't really like the person, but, it really just took a toll on me, and someone else from my RP group stepped on my behalf, and kicked the person out of the group. That's why I'm super careful about Godmodding, Powerplaying, Metagaming, and Retconning nowadays, because I don't want to be that guy everyone avoids because I have a Mary Sue and aren't self-aware enough to notice it.

For Admins? I personally am kind of peeved when the person on the other side of the RP is a hypocrite and/or had double standards. Like, they say that it's fine to do some angst in an RP, but when I actually do angst in the RP they get upset, but they do it themselves all the time. I also am peeved when a person is involved in drama and make a speculate out of it, just because I have bad memories of being forced to take sides of arguments that I was pulled into because of drama because people blew it out of proportion and I happened to get in the crossfire. I know where to draw the line in the sand for my own comfort so I don't get burned out, I just have a peeve for it. I think it's because I've had so much experience with these topics.

For characters? I am peeved when out of the blue, a character has this new abilities or skill set and nowhere does the Mun mention it coming, nor is it mentioned anywhere involving the character. It just feels like the Mun pulled it out their ass to make things easier on themselves. If we talk out it, I'm cool with it, but otherwise, I'm a little peeved because it just feels like the Mun didn't try to make the character adapt, they just, made the character's life easier, which is not how life works and it's no fun if someone keeps pulling abilities and skills out of nowhere because the character doesn't struggle.

☢ What fads/trends are you so over?

So I can't think of any of late on Tumblr that I don't like, since I'm new to this. But, I have some old trends for others sites I remember not liking.

On this site I RPed on for a while, there was a thing where you could make your profiles all fancy by doing something with it, such as making it as colorful or sparky as possible. And, I hated that, because of my dyslexia because everyone would pick the weirdest colors to go together and my brain would be like, 'the fudge is this??' so I never could read the profiles well. It stopped after a long time, but I still don't like that kind of stuff. Have a purpose with your colors choice! It looks pretty when you choose your colors well and you don't make me confused why you choose two different colors that don't work together.

On another site, we did Mun asks and stuff all the time. And everyone did it, so it was hard to avoid. It was fun and all, but I remember this one trend where we'd show our real face and give out our names, depending on who you got the trend from, they'd ask for location as well. I was a minor at the time, so it made me super uncomfortable, because I thought maybe some tricky people [AKA Pedos and creeps] would find me and well, do things to me. So, I lied about my identity. At the time, lying on the internet about who you where wasn't a common thing and there wasn't much resources I could use to protect yourself. Now, I'm glad it's not that way, since I had to use photos of a person on Facebook I didn't even know. Now, there are resources for a person to hide their identity if they wish to that aren't shady like what I did. So, I kind of don't like it when people pressure me into doing certain trends that seem like tactics tricky people could use to find victims. It just. . . creeps me out to think about. So, I'm over all those trends that are just name/birthday/location.

I’m always too warm! I definitely prefer the cold and I don’t like it when I’m all hot and uncomfortable 

4. What were you doing 45 minutes ago?

Getting ready for a full day of dissertation writing....yay

5. What’s your favorite candy bar?

Galaxy cookie crumble! Or Milky Bar because I am a Child

6. Have you ever been to professional sports event?

I’ve been to see the Scotland Rugby Team play a couple of times. We were meant to see them play New Zealand this year but, well, ya know

7. What is the last thing you said out loud?

Probably ‘goodnight’ to my flatmate last night, which is weird because I do have a habit of talking to myself but I don’t remember doing it 

8. What is your favorite ice cream?

Chocolate fudge brownie!

Water!

10. Do you like your wallet?

It’s alright! It’s blue but it’s an awkward shape and hard to fit into certain bags

I did!! I bought a purple jumper and some checked trousers

I don’t remember the last proper thing I watched, but I watched the end of the football game last week that meant Scotland is finally going to the Euros!! (and I’m still not over it)

Sweet and Salty

15. Who is the last person you send text message to?

The first year student I’m paired up with in our academic families. I just wanted to make sure she was alright because the last time we spoke she was so stressed

16. Ever been camping?

Yeah!! I did it for DofE and then in the cadets. I wish I could say I enjoyed it but there’s always just so many midges and I always get bitten

17. Do you take vitamins?

I try to take a daily multivitamin but I just always forget 

18. Do you regularly attend a place of workship?

No, not really. I go to church every year on Remembrance Sunday (well not this year) but that’s about it. Even though I live in a street that literally has a church at either end

19. Do you have a tan?

No, never! I get really bad prickly heat which means I then have to stay indoors until it disappears, and on the rare occasions I do venture out when it’s sunny enough I just get burnt 

20. Do you prefer chinese or pizza?

Pizza! I love Chinese too but it’s always so expensive 

21. Do you drink your soda through a straw?

Sometimes, in restaurants or like from McDonald’s, but if it’s just me then no. Unless I’m at my gran’s because she always gives us straws even though I’m 20

22. What color socks you usually wear?

White socks because that’s what my mum always drilled into us!

23. Do you ever drive above the speed limit?

Ahahaha no. I’m such a cautious driver and my driving instructor used to shout ‘SPEED IT UP, REBECCA, PLEASE’ when I would drive at like 25mph in a 30. I’m better now and I actually go at the speed limit but I never drive over it

24. What terrifies you?

Gosh the list is endless. Not being enough, not doing anything worthwhile with my life, losing my family, failing my degree, never getting a job... it’s a fun time to be me

My bed... I’m sitting on the floor :)

Ironing ugh. (keeping this because it is a Mood)

I know I shouldn’t but I do think of Neighbours or Home and Away, because my sister is obsessed with both of them and we watched them during lockdown together

Basic but Irn Bru

I don’t know why but I really don’t like Drive Thru so I usually just go in. Though that means parking and I am the world’s worst parker

This is so bad but 8:30-9 lately. It used to be 7:30 when I was actually in class but now I’m only in lab on a Tuesday and it doesn’t start until 11:30

Both!! But since I never see sunrise then probably sunset

Just the one

Um... it’s alright. We have a box of decorations in one corner, our new wii in another, our damp wall that our landlord won’t fix and our illegal hamster on the kitchen table but it’s really clean!!

44. Do you have a favorite alcoholic drink?

Eh, not really. I only really drink if I’m going out. It has to be fruity though, because otherwise I just can’t drink it

I play card games with my family but not really with everyone else

46. What color is your car?

Black (it’s not technically mine, but since I’m the only one who drives it I feel like it’s fine)

47. Can you change a tire?

No but I really want to learn!!

48. Your favorite state or province?

Umm... we don’t really have either here, but my favourite place here has to be the Highlands. I’d go there and never come back if it was allowed

49. Favorite job you’ve had?

I’ve only ever had two and the first one was McDonald’s which was an ~experience~ but I really like the job I’m in now! It was in tourism and hospitality though so I’m not sure if I’ll get to go back
