If Spadamon flock to zoro. Just imagine what mihawk has to deal with. Lol

I grinned so big reading this ask. Poor Mihawk does not want anything to do with all these digimon who keep pestering him. I imagine various digimon falling over themselves trying to get him to be partners with them, who he is constantly rejecting. It's only when he meets a Zubamon who challenges him to battle then he catches interest.

Because no matter how much he defeats them, they keep re-forming as an egg, hatching...

eventually evolving again...and coming back for more combat. He even feeds it while it's in its baby stages. Eventually, one day Mihawk finds himself ambushed when his swords aren't around, and that's when the digimon offers itself as a weapon for him to use, and when his digivice appears.

The eventual Durandamon is a powerful fighter on its own, but when things get really dire, it'll transform into sword mode for Mihawk to use, making them absolutely ridiculous in terms of power.

Mihawk with THAT? Like you've gotta be kidding.

OP characters combined with digimon would be game breaking, but perfect for a shonen.

So I did this thing were I took the list of fresh digimon and threw them into a randomizer and the first result would be the digimon I'd be reborn as and repeated the process to determine what evolution path I'd naturally turn into. My result was Relemon of the Sakuyamon line. The other digimon here are the results my friends got.
